001new CL not yet just on time call to workorder time for of allegiance to be led by our principal IED Al to the flag of the United States of America and to the for it stands andice MCG here Mrs Alan here Mr here so if you could Laur Okay so approval of the agenda any a action item I'll to approve the agenda second com Mrs amaras yes Mr MCG yeah Mrs alen yes call the public approve the minutes from June 11 I Mo to approve the needing minutes for jul second great discussion Mrs yes Mr mg alen yes Mr yes and our short meeting on June 27th those meetings be approved as well I to approve the meeting minutes for June 27 I'll second Mrs amaras yes Mr MCG yes Mrs Ellen yes Mr and

002yes and next is uh superintendants presentation I know she spent a lot of time on this it may take a while so sit back was great our meeting end too soon so I just wanted to keep you here a little bit longer so again just governing board candidate filing period has concluded so I am happy to report that so far there's three seats and three candidates so in August Thea County will recommend to the Board of Supervisors to cancel the election in Continental due to the number of candidates who have filed if the recommendation is approved then the candidates will be appointed as if elected to start January 1st 2025 um Greg and I did look into what and I did ask Matt stamp from Puma County what that saves the district and as we're

003looking it looks like regardless of how many options we have on the ballot we still pay for so override and governing board election is the same so we paid um 19,000 last year I mean two years ago so so Greg said you guys thought I was kidding when I kept saying it cost the district $220,000 so um that is a budgeted line item under General Administration on our budget um and I think Greg typically budgets 33,000 for it so we're anticipating that don't know it'll be more than 20,000 so we're not saving any money not having candidates on it's one flat Fe it's 75 per register voter not for item yeah and so we just have to pay the county that yeah for any election I know so um override committees preparing for November elections

004128 letters were sent out soliciting funds to help the campaign Pro letters are being collected so we have um those the last of them coming in on Thursday and I'm making appointments to prevent present to different organizations and businesses so if you have any leads anybody in the community um I'm scheduled for the real chur committee and um trying to get on the calendar to the a women I them and looking at the Quil Creek website to try to see when they meet and I will I know that Ruth and um Julie did attend some of their meetings for the Republic club and a Democratic Club in the past so I'll see pick your brains about that so get you with the gdcc Green Valley coting Council okay good there should be some people go

005otherwise okay good because there are the organizations is like our we don't have government but good and and it really is it's just the awareness of being letting them know about fental and FYI we will be asking um so also we are preparing for one new teacher and the all staff return so we are super excited and I don't remember any time in my history of being a principal or a superintended that we only had one teacher to replace um so we're really excited about that so we're celebrating the retention of Staff Kinder enrollment is low and we currently have four teachers so we are looking at repurposing a Kinder teacher we're meeting with the Kinder team on Thursday the Middle School part-time counselor that we had originally offered the position to decline so we're

006going to be looking at maybe free up using one of the Kinder teachers to help us with the K12 emotional load and leader in me and helping with reading and um some of that being intervention and helping us with r teaching the rich but we'll be meeting with the Kinder team on Thursday to see um get some ideas that they might have or see who is willing to to be doing something different this year um our new vow project is behind schedule there should be by we they should be ready to complete by next week July 17th and we are celebrating that Middle School plan issues will be resolved once and for all that concludes the announcements thank you us to cons agenda items we have some motions then we can talk about I'll move

007to approve the consent Ruth any discussions or Kelly or Drew um I have a question silly question do I know Steve Lewis yes he's a current he's a current driver and trainer okay and Charles Nicholson is be training for the yes he's a current driver as well that's what I also our treasure for PTC and him and his wife presented a career date for us as well so St stepping up is he doesn't want I think the one I wanted to come in on was I work calendar um on the work calendar this a lot of this came up through the meet and green confir yes um you could probably explain this a little better just as to what we're doing yes so so part of being confirm um the 12- Monon employees were asking

008for usually overs spring break if 12 month employees take spring break off they have to take five days vacation days so it originally um started with classified asking for additional days which after we discussed it with the committee decided typically it's for everyone across the board um and one additional paid holiday over spring break for 10 month employees they currently receive two paid days over spring break so we make it three paid days and this is something that um really be a hard hit on our budget and I think um in M of not being able to give raises to staff and in good faith for us to be able to give an extra day that was my thought too well the additional one for the 12 month is basically loss of technically production right

009affect the pay right the war those other days sure you know we're sitting right here oh sorry and we can attest to all the hard work it can V for everyone in this room anybody else call please Mrs yes Miss Mr MCG yeah Mrs Allen yes Mr yes awesome I did to mean to just for the record that Nai a is in a relationship I've never met her but I am an to meet her I met her not and she did conf she never crazy Aon name she spell what name yeah I know that's Steve all right Greg you're up finan all right so here is the final financial report for June um if you scroll to the bottom of the page there it shows you that we are ending with a balance of 10

01014,284 with then our M fund we still still have 35 $440,000 worth of outstanding POS so we're looking at a rollover of anywhere in that 50 to $60,000 R um it was a struggle to make sure we made it but we did we have still have a little bit of a cushion as we were for um but other than that the next time that you see this report it'll be a jumbled up mess because we won't have roll over to the new year so the next would be like a year closing the next one you see will be for July July won't have any of the cash rollovers from the previous years or anything else so it'll be just trying to give you that a little bit of a for warning that you see the

011July one it's just it's not going to have everything listed there on good job good job team good job motion I'll move to approve the district financial report second discussion I just want to say thank you Greg um it was it was a really big deal that we got hit with thank you very much some yes yes Mr MCG Mr mcgiven Mrs alen yes Mr yes and unfinished business is the statement for the overall [Music] yes yeah is there an English teacher in there see the we need uh Microsoft Office will encourage you to put the periods at the end but right yeah I know it's pett up top to all the ones are science we have to take them off of science yes okay mat had suggested that we remove the 5.6 million and

012just put budget and for the record of 5.6 million budget for a school is very small very small but the voter might go I would agree with that just put for our budet cuz people are going to say to our annual budget 600 kids 5.6 mil yeah so we can put implications will be to our annual budget y wait but then you have anual again true okay so just say to our budget and leave do we approve we're going to approve suggestion I move to approve um the governing board Pro statement for prop 410 with the edits of removing 5.6 million and replacing with annual and moving annually after 4,29 right opposite I I move to a the governing board Pro statement for prop 410 removing the 5.6 million before budget suest I said just

013the periods at the end of alls mrsas yes Mr MCG yeah Mrs yes new business authorizing us to go to training and aspa approve the authorization for traveling for workshops conferences second oh Drew discussion I have something do anybody plan on going into the asba events there's two this fall there's a law conference and that's the early one in October the real one is in the middle of December which is terrible time so just if you are can you just maybe and we are also with our um with our budget really limiting conferences and trying to make sure that ke people are attending what needs to be attending and trying to just say where we can how much do you guys budget for for just training not for governing work for teachers it just depends

014because a lot of it comes from different funding like the special ed conferences come out of the federal Ida Grant and then we have Title One supports different so we don't have like a whole we'd have to go back and look at what we actually spend on conferences and registration because it and we save a lot of money through grants that PID for those why elant Grant has also helped us provide some extra support for conferences that we would normally be able to attend to is somebody Mr M yes and now some exciting stuff asba asbaa policy this is the first reading and this is the the policy alert that came out for um open meeting law um which just states that ensuring that um other meetings like let's say our foundation meeting if you

015have board members on there is subject to open meeting La so you just have to be very careful in terms of um speaking about school business and again um and it also addresses aot lot of superintendant if you can see there were two * 2 * one meetings where some superintendant would meet with two board members at a time two board members and then one to disseminate and get information so they're really saying to be very very careful about that um in terms of you know the perception could be swaying the board the superintendent and making sure that the superintendent's giving accurate information to all the board members at the same time so that makes it a little bit tricky but that's not our common practice anyway so we don't have to I know we

016don't do it same thing yeah just be careful got um ahead of this a little bit didn't we with the recation from thaty as about putting noting um the school events including making us non members of the foundation that was not a policy yet but it was to right and putting on our events that was a possible Forum to know that three if M show up it's not a problem yes so this one is not it's not anything to be alerted okay so that's just a first read that's just a yeah right it's a first read that'll go [Music] on the the next one is I'm also first reading on the security surveillance cameras videos and a recording so we realized that we did not have a formal policy in place um that addresses the

017fact that we do have cameras on school property we have the signage but we don't have it in approved policy do we have a audio recording on school property or we do on buses we have the anys no no there's no cameras No No cameras in the classroom no ceras in the restrooms there there is a camera in the gym which is used as a classroom that does have audio recording okay so it's a first read so take some time to look at it and we'll have it on for approval for second semester just thank you Joe and Greg for working on this also and the next voting item is bathroom that we have yeah so we actually had a leak um in the girls restroom in the cafeteria the July 3r so it was

018found in the evening by the church the church called us up and said hey guess what you got to leave so in order to to get this fixed we went ahead and we got the plumbers to come out on Friday but we weren't going to have anybody around for purchase order until Monday so we consider this as an emergency procurement just need the board's approval for want to stop Le they problem how much was it 700 bucks and then was there just a leak not like an inch what it was was there was a pinhole leak in a previously repaired spot so it just and they don't cover that what's that the they repaired that right previous guys how long ago was it yeah that previous repair was quite a few years ago okay I

019approve mrsas yes Mr MCG Alan yes Mr yes okay turn all out now next year's budget all right so to make this as simple as possible there are three things that have changed on this budget from your approval date if you scroll back the other way we've added an adopted date we've changed the version from proposed to adopted and scroll up please we added a new updated date where it was sent to ad everything else is exactly the same as you saw it with proposed budget I to approve and you have the 602 student count yes I do I have the so which means we still need to get about 26 not problem get mrsas was discussing having some evening registrations open between now and before meet and greet so that they don't all show

020up at meet and greet and say oh we want to come here us show up the packets they show the packets for us too [Music] yeah because that chaos enough and then try that's a really good ide Mr yes and we get to the PTC calendar yes as you can see our PTC keeps our parents very involved and active so mark your calendars a lot of these events are annual um Traditions that kids and families look forward to on an annual basis we very grateful to our PTC and to our parents who volunte they are so busy they are very busy to approve the [Music] PTC Mrs Mr MC yes Mrs Alan yes any oh looks like they want to go to Washington DC again how many years [Music] 15 it's quite a few yeah

021anyhow do we all know what this means I will move to approve the Civic Club trip to Washington DC at any discussion I just wanted to add a couple notes to this real quick um the price is going up over the previous year just like everything else does um one of the things that they have updated is a remove one day from Smithsonian and added a travel day to Gettysburg okay so just wanted to make sure you all were kind of aware of that before you voted on your approvals it'll be different we did look at adding New York adding a couple days and New York but that added a couple thousand dollar to the price so Mrs amaras yes Mr MCG yeah m yes czy okay events is just information yes and just for

022the record the um July 15th Foundation meeting has been cancelled and um staff pictures and staff breakfast we're looking at having breakfast in the gym since it's picture day and teachers usually go back and forth so we're gonna have that in the gym this year and um our staff meet and greet is going to be at Triple Play so thanks to Steve and de and Greg we're able to get Triple Play for stepan because we were looking at a savings as well so everybody's going to order on their own from the menu but they're allowing staff to go in and we can take their own desserts and prepay for staff members and I think if it's they're going to buy wristbands for the kids but cornhole will be open yes so we're grateful to our

023discussion [Music] Mr MC I'm good thank you I must tell you I drove over the mountain last week and there was a bunch of cows I saw call you yell thatment my my daughter but how did you put your trunk well I have the truck so I got a couple oh brce pretty brown I'll bring the B board meeting yeah but no I think this year is very exciting you know I miss Rico and I talk all the time and I think it's it's going to be a you guys paying yes talking about F sorry we got trip it's overrated but no I think it's G to be a really fun year everybody's now I you're number three five six yeah you has been here forever this will be my eighth year and I was

024just thinking that it's actually the longest I've been in any one position in the course of my 32 years of education usually been six to seven years in different positions that's been my Norm too so see how but I really think congratulations to all you guys for building such a great team um you know lean he's not here so that's okay anyhow than you [Music] no thank you okay we are over and out 33 minutes thank you drew me say goodbye
