001proficient green and blue so we're really excited to see that our minimally proficient or our rent are decreasing and this has to do with achievement at this point in school year students at grade level this is what reading looks like and this is mathematics so as you can see a lot of our programs that we've been implementing mathematics and reading over the course of three and two years it's starting to sink into our students our teachers are starting become more comfortable with it and we're continuing to learn growth that we can make sure that we're ensuring our students success throughout the school year so when they're moving into the next grade level these color bands is showing us where their level of proficiency is at in areas that our state reports are going to be
002released for our third graders as many of you know the state mandates that third graders passed the reading portion of the test in order to be promoted on to fourth grade and both it's a lot of pressure for our students but it's state mandates and you know our our kiddos when they're testing during the state tests they're like oh we're so nervous you can hear a lot about that I'm sure many of you hear that at home too so thank you for your support throughout State dist this Wednesday probably around 4 or 5: PM they're going to be releasing to the districts um the scores for our third graders and then next Friday on records day they're going to be releasing the score for all of our students fourth through e8th grade for all subject
003areas through the state so we will make sure to keep you all posted up to date with that now moving on to art contest winners we have some winners that we really would like to recognize uh Arizona Diamond BS and the Arizona Department of Health Services sponsor as Statewide be sunwise play sub smart poster drawing that we participate in and Mrs Deo coordinates and semifinalists that we had were and congratulations to Bry and Bartlett Madison Alex andas for being the 20 24 sixth and seventh grade semi finalist so we give them a round of applause be on these links here which we'll put on um a blast to all of our you can see and here here's the pictures on the next slide so we have brys Madison alexas and really proud and excited of
004them they are some and then a lot of the last slides I have are some overlapping with superintendent Ricos the eighth grade civics washingtonship was amazing it was the first time I'd ever been with our students and the first time I'd ever been to Washington DC so we learned a lot together and it was a phenomenal amazing trip and really look forward to many of you be being a part of that in the years to come and seeing just the bonding that happen the questions that happen the AHA moments the lights the light buls that go on was really amazing and to see our eighth grade group of students really come together and um it's going to be a memory that's going to last life Ty for all of them so we're really honored to
005be a part of this trip and thank you to many of you at many of your cases we saw out a lot of our events a lot of our fundraising nights thank you for being a part of making this happen this was huge teacher appreciation week we had our amazing Mrs wock coordinate um that help for all every single teachers door in our entire school they showed up and it was decor personalized for them that was elementary all the way through Middle School to our support staff teachers as well it was such a sight to see and we were really excited to be able to appreciate our teachers and everything that they do for our students throughout the whole entire school year and student advisory we have elementary and middle school student advisory we wrapped
006up our end of the year meetings they had a lot of great feedback and insights this school year that helped us to modify some of the things that we were doing this school year and will continue to modify throughout next school year and we're excited to meet back with them they have the opportunity to not only meet with Mr L and myself but it's led by superintendent Rico which is really great because they get to see the ins and outs he the ins and outs of running the school district and their feedback is heard by our super and career day was amazing were any of you able were you a part of presenting any you show hands so thank you for being here it was really a sight to see all of the great support
007we have from our community and how they show up for our students and they teach our students so it happens every May if any of you are interested please let us know we would like to put you on that weight list to help us out next year we have a ton of up upcoming events this next week and a half so this Friday we have some preschool promotion or our talent shows tomorrow from 8:15 to 10:15 in the gym you're all welcome to attend if you'd like to see the great talent of our students we have our um our spring instrumental con concert is on Thursday and then we have our preschool promotions Friday and we also have a continental music ensemble's dinner so that's for all the students that are in Orchestra Jazz uh
008we have our third and fourth grade dance residency performance which is going to be at 100 p.m. it says TB on there to be determined but it's 1 pm. on Monday so also if you'd like to be a part of that please sign in to these any of these events um and the list goes on we have fifth grade parents versus students kickball and they'll be receiving fifth grade promotion certificate that'll be 8:30 on Monday as well we have our amazing Foundation meeting that's taking place our kindergarten promotion is on Tuesday May 21st at 9:00 a.m. in the gym 11:00 a.m. is our senior walk through so these are our alumni that are graduating from high school they walk through and we cheer them on and just a reminder that next Wednesday is a full

020to Mrs Holly W I say every event School event not even PTC event but every school event we've had this year Mrs W has been there to support us she helps us with getting it ready with coordinating with bringing stuff for our events and hyping up our students she's really good at hyping them up at our assemblies so we really want to thank you for your passion for your dedication and for your support throughout the whole entire school year every year since I've been here and I'm sure beond love that thank you for anything that you do it does not go no and it's greatly apprciated one of the things that people don't realize about Holly is it's not just a school she participates in the community she does a lot lots of different Avenues
021that's pretty much true um she she is service oriented um she's constantly running the soccer program for our youth in the community um and just does you know countless and countless things with the youth and the children not just here at school but it does it does Echo outside into the community for not just our students but all of the children in Serita Green Valley area so um I know sometimes we Overlook that because you are always here we we joke that she should be given a parking spot that's permanent and in office but she's she's sometimes here more than we are so we appreciate her time and her effort and also you know to give up that time and effort um it is a sacrifice to her kids and her family so thank you
