003what it looks like if you can dig it out I'm pretty sure you do Drew I know so I did share the Google Doc and I was like I mentioned our attention will be and you can just confess Laura um you can get on the Google Doc and see but what I thought is we could all pick a color or not so I'm picking purple and so I just responded to the introduction and chapter one which was due and then on the 14th we're gonna be doing you'll see the timeline chapters two and three so you Cannon you don't have to comment if you don't want you can just say got it ditto boring chapter I agree with what you're saying or not okay so it's just something for us to keep on the Forefront
004on the introduction um you'll see where I wrote that there's a prioritizing teaching and learning is what the intro was about in the book which I filled and I hope that I did a good job at emphasizing the importance of teaching and learning as we've gotten things off the ground and focused this year in the last six years and then the legal perspective and the case for local controlled I think we have avoided legal pitfalls in working together and in our communication and knowing the difference of when to see legal counsel and when things are up to us and that's a prime example was covid and how we navigate transparency with each other and with the community helped us not have a lot of problems right and gain the trust of our staff and our
005students and um our stakeholders hearing them out and taking their opinion acted upon some of their questions and needs so just a reminder so I'm hoping that we can get through it so that at our October Retreat we can kind of just do a wrap up really is a good way to keep us all with the same page and keep us informed so we're already behind no we're good we'll reduce the service oh but well I mean it was just yeah I know right you're okay no pressure you could just I wanted to model High diet or underlining something that I already responded to if you agree those those are the two chapters that we're supposed to have written like the introduction and chapter one and then July 14th we're supposed to have chapters two
006and three done yeah but we had we had when you gave us the book yes we had we're supposed to read this yes this is refreshing so as you see and as you go through the book there are some activities that say 15 minutes 20 minutes for the board to do together I don't think we need to do those um I think we can just reflect on the questions on the activity or pick one or two but I don't think we need to go through every time it says a 30-minute meeting for the board that we should do them okay but there might be a time for you to build that activity is a good do a heads on point okay also for October we did talk about having Julie bacon come to our retreat
007so Mr Austin and I will be going through some of the trainings that they offer all the if there is anything applicable for her to come and share with us at our October retreat both at night and this book thing all comes from we attended the things session we thought oh that's a really good idea we should do that so here we are yeah yes um no no we don't want additional meetings I just wanted to kind of keep us on track so what we read and respond to on the Google Doc is all we'll need to do and if somebody wants to share what we've read during our regular board meeting but we're not going to be having extra meetings okay I just wanted to make sure okay good question okay anything else anybody
