Okay, I guess we're ready for property and casualty insurance. >> All right, I'll tell you what. Every once in a while the on the on the book. Uh and this last night we went in insurance. Uh health insurance is good. That's all good. Property and casualty went down. Incredible. Keep in mind we went into the Kicks Group by serious of everyone. Uh and because we are >> [clears throat] >> P&C has got to not treat us well eventually. Uh anybody you know if one out of we can send them out. So we got into the Kicks Group and P&C uh through uh Kicks Group through Iron. Uh their renewal rate came in at 327 468 which is down from the 532 583 last year. So the savings is $5,115 and 61 cents. So I recommend

the board approve moving forward with our insurance with Kicks for our P&C insurance. >> One quick question, Dr. Myers. How How much longer are we in that uh group? Is it Was it a five-year thing? >> We're in it forever. As long as we don't leave it, we're in. >> Oh, okay. >> Now, we can choose to get out. But if we choose to get out, it might kick us back in. Uh >> Right. >> They have done well by the way. It's doing what insurance is supposed to do. Uh they've got almost 200 businesses. Uh so it's it's getting power. Uh so yeah, they have losses across the state. And since they've got so many people in their book, they're able to argue to keep things lower. So. >> Do we ever have to

reapply? Or were If we're Do we ever have to reapply or if we're in, we're we're in forever? >> We're in and we're in and they can't kick us out. >> Okay. >> Now, if the board down the line decides to get out, I would measure that three times before you try. But uh and the insurance has been perfect. Uh so let's stick the little we got, all right? >> Okay. Can I get a motion to approve the bid from Iron Insurance and Kicks for our property and casualty insurance? >> I'll move. >> Second. >> Been moved and seconded to approve the insurance bid from Iron and Kicks. All those in favor? >> Aye. >> Motion passed. Workers' comp insurance. >> This is a lot to put a smile on my face. I don't know

if you guys recall this, but uh do you guys have the chart in front of you that shows what's happened to our premiums? We had three shock claims, which means really expensive insurance claims by the um surgeon type of thing 3 years ago. Uh that really caused our mod to go up. The main thing with the workers' comp is keep the mod at one or below. And if you go back to 2013-2014, the state of our premium was only $49,000. Then it jumped to 64 and 73, but it takes 3 years to get a claim off of the mod. And so we're at 1.6 something this year, and now we're just dropping to 1.4 something, which is great. We've been very few claims. Um and we have put put into play uh telephonic nursing. And

um hopefully um I mean we're very aggressive on that. Um making sure that you want people safe. We want them uh taken care of. But we don't just send them off to the uh emergency room just cuz. So we're really strict on this and my opinion is they tip in the scale working with people. He's done a fine job with it. And you'll see that the rate is going down next year at $6,400. Isn't that great? That's a victory. Uh here's the really really good news. A year from now the mod should go down 1.14. It will drop it. I should we the premium. Oh, assuming it has a similar types of kind of destruction, but four or five this year. Not the major. Uh and then if everything goes with it is going, trending.

Uh two years from now, this puppy should get down in the well, 49. It should be there. Our victory, our efforts will have proven out. So, I would great smile on my face, and and finally, uh I recommend that the board approve the district's workers' compensation insurance be awarded the entire insurance through RAS. I don't know who they are. It's uh who I am rated as. Uh for the better of 66, 974. >> So moved. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to approve the insurance for our workers' comp by through Iron Insurance and RAS. All those in favor? >> I. >> All those opposed? So, it is passed. Uh next agenda is student athlete insurance. We got all kinds of insurance. >> the P&C and the workers' comp are required by law. Auto

insurance, you don't have to have one, but I think it's a good idea to have it. Uh this one is purely voluntary. The student health insurance. Uh this district way BS, way before Scott, put into play and has carried this. Uh we're happy with our group. Uh it's the uh Mountain State Insurance Company, underwritten by Nationwide. Uh you'll see that the uh bid for next year is flat at 500 and I'm sorry, I give 10,970. 83 cents up. I'm sorry, it's up by 2 cents. There you go. Um but number of claims, you've got a history of our claims going back to 1616. Uh it kind of jumps around. And it's all dependent on uh what happens in a given year. Uh our premium is tied pretty much to the head count. Um so as

our head count has gone down, uh it's been reflected in the cost. But then we had a slight increase in usage this year. I think that's what accounts for it being flat at 10,970 with change. So, I recommend the board purchase the renewal option student accident insurance from K&K Insurance. It includes the $1 million catastrophic coverage for total 10,970 and 85 cents. >> Is there a motion to accept this? All right. Moved by Shawn and seconded by Dave. To approve this insurance bid, all those in favor say I. I. All those opposed? So passed. Let's see, we got some donations. >> Yeah. On a scale of 1 to 10, we've had great support from our patrons. Uh this month we received a donation of $31,891 from Ty Brookover. Um I recommend the board accept that

donation. >> I'll make that motion. >> Second. >> Moved by Jerick, seconded by Landon. To accept the donation from Ty Brookover. All those in favor say I. I. All those opposed? So moved. Turf contract, Dr. Myers. >> Everything's been worked and reworked and double-checked and reworked. Mine is here. I recommend the board approve of the contract with uh I don't know if you get the name on it? American Sports Construction for the installation of the current baseball field. Um There you go. >> It's a motion. Moved by Landon, seconded by Dave. All those in favor of accepting this this contract, say aye. >> Aye. >> All those opposed? So moved. >> So we'll maybe get a a signature from Curtis as the president and I'm sure we'll probably all agree to put the stakes on

it and we'll find it. We'll be out I'll be reaching out to Nick tomorrow and we'll get that process going. I don't have a date for you or anything like that, but I'm assuming it'll be late June early July. I mean Well in advance. And one of the conversations I had with Nick was the moment they started by October they'd be able to get it done by uh baseball season. So if we get going July August, we're good. >> Sounds good. Uh looks like next is new business. >> I'm sorry, what? >> New business? >> Yeah, okay. Ready to go? >> Yep. >> It's just not the normal thing every district sitting at the end of this and I'm seeking permission from the board handing the superintendent and my opinion on my life permission to

close out the books for fiscal year 2026 fiscal operating. Uh we don't have an exact number yet. We need to run the final payroll and all that kind of stuff. You'll see in your board packet priorities where we roll money, where we'll go. Um and it's important to do this because of the least money sitting in the accounts that goes against our revenue which starts up in July. We don't want that. We want to get every penny we can. This is why it's tightly into the calendar. We're looking probably a roll out of about 2.3% somewhere in there. But, that won't be finalized until later months. As work is completed on that, I will definitely keep you informed. But, in the meantime, I recommend motion to be made to allow the superintendent to close the

district's financial books. >> So moved. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to allow the superintendent to close the district's books. All those in favor, say aye. >> Aye. >> All those opposed? Passed. Next is the Hogan Wreck Board appointment. >> I I should have asked earlier. I'm sorry, Robin. I forgot to. Did we get any more letters? >> No, we did not. >> All right, great. Every year we get uh the board appoints somebody to serve on the representative board, rather, on the Hogan Wreck uh commission board. We have one letter of interest from Tracy Johnson. Uh she wants to extend her period on the wreck board. So, I could run her term with 2030. Uh I request a a motion to appoint uh Tracy Johnson to the HRC Board of Directors. >>

So moved. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to appoint Tracy to the Hogan Wreck Board of Directors. All those in favor, say aye. >> Aye. >> All those opposed? Motion passed. Next item is the food service program. >> Yeah, this is a lot of work. I acting on this and doing it in the fall of May allows us to have our food service program where we can substitute that from the federal government. Uh it it it pays for the food and then most of the food is but every single kid buys a meal, they get reimbursed for that. They don't pay that much but then they sign this paper with the approval of this. This has been going on since 2019. Previous to that, any 2019 and block and all that yeah it

was on the annual basis. So, I motion to approve continued participation of federal school lunch program for the 2026-2027 school year. It doesn't say it but it also means breakfast. >> So moved. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to approve the continued participation in the federal school lunch program for 2026-2027 school year. All those in favor, say I. >> I. >> All those opposed? Passed. Uh, next we got meal prices. >> Yeah, last year we adjusted the meals across the board by a nickel. We're in the black, things are going well. I recommend we keep the meal prices as presented which are the same as last year. So, I motion that you pass this to approve meal prices as presented for 2026-2027 school year. >> Do we have a motion for that? >>

So moved. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to keep the meal prices as presented, same as last year for the 2026-2027 school year. All those in favor, say I. >> I. >> All those opposed? Motion passed. Next on the agenda is food service procurement program plan. >> Yeah, this is an annual requirement by law that we have a procurement program plan in place. We are part of the Greenwich Public School and it's a good plan. Basically it boils down to we go down for the bulk of our purchases of food and milk and supplies. But, if we need to, I'll go get a extensive somewhere else for the unit like now. We can't do it get something else from somebody else. So, this is an annual event. I recommend approval of the 26-27

food service procurement plan as presented. >> I'll make that motion. >> Second. >> It's been moved and seconded to approve the 26-27 school year food service procurement plan as presented. All those in favor say "Aye." All those opposed? Motion passed. Uh looks like we got executive session next. >> Uh 15 minutes to go. Last you guys tell me notes. And I mean 15 minutes. Nobody will be in this room. Um I need um Dr. Phil invite principals in as needed when we get to it. And then Dr. Tony Tyler and Dr. Hal and then go to Jerry, Mr. Johnson. Uh I don't need the ladies. Ladies represent our shirt. So, they don't need to come to executive session. I'll save all of you. >> All right. Can I get a motion to go into executive

session at 8:55 >> Whoa. >> 7:55 with uh principals as needed. >> So, second.
