001of the year as well so we are going to start with kindness so for showing kindness throughout the year the time of the year is sebastian [Applause] yes all right our next is for responsible year this student was actually an online student but we all agreed she was so responsible he probably won't be surprised with this if you knew from last year he responsible for the year is [Applause] all right and then has been very safe just an overall very fun student having a class and that student is gabby molina this student is very smart she's very hardworking and she oftentimes remains focused even when those around her are not very focused at all and so she's been through a lot this year we've been very impressed with her julianne [Applause] okay um [Music] winners
002um [Applause] [Music] um our first place science fair management sixth grade [Music] is so good afternoon um [Music] recognizes individuals who show outstanding service and character and integrity and so we had two young ladies from sixth grade get recognized for their work this year and builders club so they already have their certificates and i believe they got a big fat check so i would like to call up olivia [Applause] and so um i know we have our religious club members out there i hope next year when you will consider joining we do a lot of good work and that gets recognized so yeah [Music] okay we have thank you boys and girls for staying here at this time i would like miss cheryl to please come on down miss cheryl yes where are my six
003grade student advisory students if you can just stand but you guys can come here sixth grade student advisory if you can just stand there and i have students here who are gonna help me michelle we'll have you stand here so we have a student advisory that consists of third fourth fifth sixth seventh and eighth graders teachers select the leaders of the grade level and as a student advice we need to go over the student service the climate survey data and talk about what's working what's not working they're kind of like i don't want to say a little spice for the grade level but they give me mr nathan a lot of good information to help keep our school safe and one of the things that we do with student advisory is we choose who's going
004to receive the men's bell award which staff member and our sixth graders when i said who deserves the ben's bell for this year for continental what did you guys say they said michelle and she works far beyond the call of duty every day um she came to us with experience and knowledge and patience and love so we want to give you the hummingbird ben's bell [Applause] so although i'm her supervisor i think i've learned a lot more from cheryl um than just about everybody else on our staff she has brought a lot of knowledge into our district especially with special needs students and her passion um far surpasses most when it comes to belonging care of students who struggle not only that but the students who selected her are not one or more students there
005are students who she has touched their lives just as she's in their classroom and in their grade level and so she makes everybody feel special and it's always there to help everyone at all times um would also like to honor before we get to honor roll we have some isl super users for sixth grade parents as you know that i excel is a diagnostic program that will help students closely achieve a gap or work further then then they need to or they're ready to move on so we have access to isl boys and girls through the month of june so on july 1st we'll stop it and roll it over for the next school year so parents if the kids are dragging your little nuts and thinking they're bored tell them to get on my
006excel right [Applause] so we have some super users for sixth [Applause] grade [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and [Applause] so truly we notice that students who participate in ixl are closing the achievement depth are getting better are getting good grades and doing well on their assessments so boys and girls sixth graders keep it up let's give it up for our [Applause] amazing [Music] thank you great job all right we're going to award our honor roll students these are for third quarter grades fourth quarter grades will be mailed certainly will be mailed home to over the summer so honor roll is for asian bees audrey kahneman connor demitri madeleine flowers [Applause] gabriella molina [Applause] alexandra rosala [Applause] all right [Applause] straight fees roman garcia [Applause] olivia ross [Applause] okay is okay so at this
007time we're going to give you a few minutes for you to take pictures with your children and then our six years will get back to class and can pretend as i look at our sixth graders and look at our parents i really want to thank you for being here for the students we had preschool promotion yesterday and to see the kids happy smiling so excited and parents taking pictures and so excited our goal is to continue that spark and motivation in our students um through all of their k-8 experience so we know medical middle school gets tough and sometimes it's very hard to motivate middle school students but i know that we have great teachers behind the students and great parents like you so boys and girls when we stay listen to your parents and
