001your parents and family members a great big round of applause for all of their hard work this year there are great teachers if you could please come on down and we'll get started and parents i just want to thank you so much we know that it's been a difficult rough year but we survived and we survived it together um thank you for your patience your support your willingness to wade in the lawn drop off and pick up lines dealing with transportation and just being the support that we needed you to be so we really appreciate you because we couldn't have done it without the help of our students our staff and most importantly our parents who trust us every day with your babies because we really do take our job serious so thank you thank
002you very very much [Applause] and i just want a special acknowledgement to mrs house and to ms flowers because as you know miss montoya went out on maternity leave and we were gonna have a substitute for her for the fourth quarter and these amazing ladies did not want that and they wanted to keep their classes rather than have another transition so i just really want to thank you for all your hard work [Applause] i will grab the certificate mrs cuevas will help us get them in line and if you'd like to say anything special about them [Applause] [Music] this was a challenging year and just was really important and we made it better and we've learned so many skills and i couldn't be happier to be here [Applause] um [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and we did
003a great job so the ones that actually passed it all the way through um [Applause] okay so this was really difficult finding the time safe and responsible and then our whole to the year because they're all wonderful students and they're all wonderful so my time of the year goes to damien [Applause] my responsible pull goes to eden and responsible goes to jose so again i just want to say that it is very difficult to pick rewards when every single student comes with different personalities and different skills and strategies and they're all lovely students but i do have one hole to the air who is a fabulous person inside and out and this is [Applause] one of the biggest things that we do in third grade for math is mastering our multiplication facts and we even
004went to the sentence to have support graders give the third graders a little bit of information as what to expect when you are in fourth grade and one of the things that really stood out was the better you know your multiplication facts the easier each skill that they teach becomes so um we work very hard on mastering our multiplication fast through using flash cards just mental strategies we encourage kids to have multiplication facts just get into them with maybe you're cooking dinner or on your way home just five minutes here and there we've done some dice activities so this is something that students have worked very hard on we did back tests anywhere between three to five days of a school week and um i think i got it all so i have some recipients
005for this master's twelve three times for each fact so zeros three times ones twos all the way through twelve this does not mean that they don't need to practice this summer so they need to continue up with these facts so caden congratulations [Applause] connor is troy william preston's not here today but preston would love this award he was one of our hardest working multiplication facts so congratulations [Applause] they still did a fabulous job so all the students that are continuing to sit down even though maybe they didn't master all the way zero through twelve they put their buns off this year okay let's give it up for our [Applause] boys and calls stay standing just for a second we have our top third grade ixl users and parents as you know isl is a program
006that will play students accordingly it's a diagnostic assessment that will place them where they are at their level it is helpful to close the achievement gap to catch students up and also to accelerate their learning if they're ready so we really want to encourage students and parents to continue using isl we do have it till july 1st so this summer if you want your kids to do a little bit more work so they won't forget their multiplication facts you can get them on ixl through june and then we'll roll over for the new year our excel top bike cell users for third grade natalie barbosa maina esri [Applause] let's [Applause] okay and now what we're going to do is have you boys and girls go ahead and have a speed we're going to call out
