013champion swimmers Regional championships in football and basketball a state runnerup and wrestling Ling and a state champion and runner up in girls tennis our teams had the support of our student section all along with the leadership from jayac our Performing Arts lit up the stage with Incredible choir and band concerts musicals and plays and dance performances that showcased our talented Jags our CTE programs competed at the state level and won state titles our interact Club LED through kindness on our campus and coordinated food drives our BC page Mr BC pageant raised over $15,000 this year to support mother's Grace and our Student Government brought our campus together through pep rallies assemblies exciting dances and Proms and Community Service events were Jags pulled together to make a positive difference together you showed how you care about
014your community by contributing $110,000 once again to the make A- Wish Foundation that is $40,000 donated in your four years at bchs to support this cause absolutely extraordinary because of this excellence and Community we have developed together your work helped lead bchs to our very first A+ School of Excellence recognition the highest achievement of any school in Arizona and together class of 2024 you earn Scholarships in the millions of dollars for your future actually $15 million together amazing things happen you class of 2024 showed the Jag that jaguars persevere create and boldly make a positive difference at bchs and Beyond Today graduates it's your day to shine it's your day to stand in the spotlight and be recognized for how you have grown for all you have done and for all you can be and

016wolf once said I am rooted but I floow my whole life I have tried to run away from Arizona I never truly found myself within the prickly cacti or the oddly terrifying Havas practically counting the days until I got to stand in this fairy Stadium I knew that this wasn't my forever after all a snake has to shed it skin to grow and I believe that meant leaving everything behind yet it's funny how you don't realize how much you'll miss a place until it's time to leave you don't discover just how much a diamond Sparkles until you clean off the rest there's something cinematic about high school whether it's the rush of teenage hormones or the chaos of finding ourselves within the Halls there's a reasons so many stories have been written about us yes
017we have enough theatrics to put a Shakespearean drama to shame but that is not why we are portray it is because high school has so many little perfects so many opportunities to find beauty in the most surprising places I know what you're probably thinking Boulder Creek beautiful we're a public high school in the middle of the desert what beauty do we have but there is so much to see here at Boulder Creek so many minuscule moments that we often miss in our blizzard of classes and extracurriculars so many trinkets we pass on the Mad Dash towards AP tests and acts so now that we finally have reached the Finish Line I invite you to take a moment to stop and notice do you see the beauty yet it's okay if you don't for I have
018a few examples Beauty can be grand like confetti bursting out homecoming sprinkling down like pixie dust or the Roar of the marching band at every assembly echoing the beat of our PS yet beauty can also be small and mighty like how Mr viso ends every class by reminding his students that they are loved or watching a handmade boat drift along the puddles graced by our fluffly pipe system yet most importantly bowler Creek's Radiance comes from its students and staff after all what would we be without that settle Hudd from Todd or the joke of the day in just a few months I will be attending the University of Vermont going quite literally across the country I'm doing what I've always dreamed of and leaving Anthem to create a new start however like Virginia said I
019will forever be rooted here and that's okay yes High School is just a blip of time if we really think about it but that doesn't mean the memories we made don't stay with us as I fly the 3,000 miles to begin school I will be rooted to the moments I share with all of you I'll forever be intertwined with the memory of balling on stage with my academic deaon team as we hoisted up the first place trophy at regionals and taking my final bow on the Boulder Creek stage with the theater program I found my family in and most of all I'll remember the teachers that helped me grow as a student and human on this Earth believing in me when I didn't even believe in myself as we leave the stadium and flow into

022as if we were freshman again as we enter adulthood I would like to thank my parents for raising me with such strong leadership skills and for teaching me never to back down from a challenge I would also like to thank my teachers who have taught me so much over the past decade of my life from teaching me my ABCs all the way up to solving algebra functions but more importantly for teaching me that with every difficulty lies opportunity without further Ado allow me to introduce coach Tony cerella who will Who will deliver the faculty address thank you Magnus graduates loved ones distinguished faculty members and colleagues it is an honor to be here with you today to celebrate this Milestone I stand here before you looking back on four years of Legacy we've all made
023together in the four decades I have been teaching and coaching there have been many lessons I have passed on to our students but in my opinion none more important than these top three graduates number one hold a vision of what you want your future to look like number two stay the path and embrace the journey and number three trust the process because although it won't be easy it will be worth it in the end graduates four years ago you held a vision of what you wanted your high school career to look like you were excited about the beginning of a new chapter you were looking forward to forming new and meaningful relationships well I can clearly remember your first year of high school navigating through a pandemic attending classes on zoom and limited sports activities
024I would venture to guess that it was far from the vision you had hoped for but you were resilient you accepted your new normal you fought through the adversity and you marched on making memories to last a lifetime and I couldn't be more proud of you in a world that seems to be constantly changing trust me that there will be other obstacles but in order to remain resilient I offer you these constants that have withstood the test of time form meaningful relationships with family and friends build Bridges don't burn them Express gratitude each day be thankful for the things you have not angry about the things you don't have and develop a sense of purpose every one of you has a purpose and your mission is to get on the path and find your purpose
025graduates stay the path the path will not be all roses and rainbows trust that there will be hurdles along the way so be strong for there will be good times and there will be bad times be courageous for there will be times that you are encouraged and times you are discouraged and most of all be patient because at the end of this journey you'll find that we all have a purpose one of my favorite quotes comes from the famous football coach Vince Lombardi he says winning is not everything but the willingness to prepare to win is the only thing so trust the process graduates for many of you the journey is just beginning you will leave here today and start a new chapter as you search for your purpose in this lifetime as you begin
