but especially my mom for guiding me to where I am today with nothing but love and support I couldn't have done it without you and I love you more than words can describe cribe class of 2024 I know your families were very important in your journey as well so if you could please give them a round of [Applause] applause now hello to all of the faculty friends family and fellow students who are here today when I began thinking of what message I wanted to give I was overcome with sadness feeling this towards our journey of adolescence coming to an end the sadness of potentially never seeing the people I grew up with again and of high school coming to a close but mostly the scary thought of not being a kid anymore let's Rewind 2012
the year we started kindergarten I remember being so excited to meet my teacher and new classmates to learn new things do crafts and sing songs but in reality I was just excited to grow up I was excited to be a big kid going to school without my mom those feelings of excitement didn't end as I realized I had lots more growing up to do I was now excited to be a cool sixth grader going to school on the upper level of our school that was what I was excited for but I got there and I was still unsatisfied I was excited for more the next best thing Middle School the awkward stages as I would would call it looking back meeting new people my age for the first time in years overwhelmed with unfamiliar classrooms
and teachers who Focus Less on having fun and more on getting work done after learning about high school and all of the teenage perks I was still focusing on the future excited to grow up even more I was excited to learn how to drive dress up for prom and get my first job our eighth grade year got cut short and before we knew it our freshman year began began through a screen not what we were expecting at all I began to miss my friends going to school in person and yet again I was excited for the future this detrimental period of our high school career was tainted and a lot of us struggled to regain motivation and unnervous social interaction but we did it we overcame that time and started to feel like normal high
schoolers enjoying fun like sports games Spirit weeks school dances lunch with our friends friends clubs and so much more yet I was still excited for something else we were all still excited still eagerly waiting for today the day when we would be free from adults telling us what to do homework late bells and bathroom passes but why were we excited why have we always been excited for the future and not living in the moment time is going to to pass you without forgiveness your parents will get old you'll begin working a full-time job and lose free time maybe you'll have kids and watch them grow before your eyes change is inevitable living in the now is the only thing that you can control enjoy every single moment even if they seem small enjoy family dinners
getting ready with your friends hanging out with your siblings shifts at your unserious job enjoy it all stop being excited for what's to come because it's going to pass you and you're going to realize you missed out on living in the moment just yesterday we started high school and now that it's over in the blink of an eye realize that everything will become a memory and to soak up every second along the way don't spend your time wishing or waiting act now live now and enjoy now thank you congratulations class of 24 and I wish you luck I'm pleased to announce Mr gos with today's staff inspiration congratulations you Skyhawks are almost graduates only a few minutes more let me make an analogy about your high school experience as a Skyhawk and the true life

be wondering why only better Sarah I want to be the best because we can't set limits on our greatness we can't set limits on our achievements in the world we need to strive to be better once you reach your goal goal of becoming a doctor or a lawyer I want you to ask yourself how can I be better we are not the limitations people set for us but the opportunity we provide for ourselves but please do not misunderstand me in order to know greatness in your mind first you must find greatness in yourself your soul Dr Seuss once said sometimes you'll never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory for most of our time we counted down the days until summer vacation winter break or even to Wi the bell ring
I've heard this quote before but it never meant much to me until this very day in between counting down the days high school taught us a lot my mentality towards High School wasn't always sunshine and rainbows as I'm sure it wasn't to a lot of you as well but little do we know that yal MX plus b wasn't the only thing we would learn from it it taught us that life goes on you could fail the biggest math test you have ever taken or break up with the person that you thought you were going to spend your life with but guess what we moveed forward and we grew we also learned to find joy in positive negative big and little I could talk about that forever but as we are aware this graduation is about
our future so I'd like to take my last few minutes to talk about it this moment the one that you're sitting and living in right now is the one you've been prepared for since day one now Our Fate is in our own hands some decisions will be easier than others and we find ourselves asking am I making the right decisions for my life stepping into the future is scary but we must remember to give ourselves Grace one of the hardest tests we will face is remaining true to ourselves especially when facing challenges my only request is that you face those challenges with morals and values that life has taught you this far stay honest stay humble and stay hungry for Success lastly we'd like to give a big thank you to our families that make
us better my mother taught me that perseverance is everything and to Chase my dreams despite the challenge and I want you all to do the same so to the class of 2024 and everyone that came here to support us let us celebrate our accomplishments cherish the big and small moments and look forward to our beautiful Futures thank you and [Applause] congratulations please welcome back Mr Ross Kelly thank you Sarah for your words of inspiration now comes the moment you have all been waiting for I would like to remind everyone to be courteous during this portion of the ceremony so that all family and friends may hear the names being read the use of noise makers are not permissible please hold your applause and expressions of Joy until all graduates have crossed the stage it is
