All right, we'll go ahead and get started. Um, I'd like to call our meeting to order at this time. And if everyone will please join me in a moment of silence. >> Thank you. At this time, would everyone please stand and join me in the pledge of allegiance? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. You might be seated. All right, board members, at this time we are down to approving our agenda. Does anyone have any additions to the agenda this evening? If not, I need a motion to approve. Have a motion on Mr. Second by M. All in favor of approving the agenda, please say I. I. All oppose.
I hear that. We're down now to our recognitions with this. Good evening board members and all you guests. I have several things to share with you this evening. We've got some special people in the audience. I want to begin with our January competency. It is creative pro I'm just going to close y'all. Sorry. It's creative problem solving. And as you know, we define this individual as a critical thinker who um inquires and reasons to design solutions and develop innovative ideas. With us this evening is a student who acted promptly as a creative problem solver when he woke up to a fire in his home last month. He quickly w he quickly woke his family and they safely got out of the house. At a fiscal court meeting last week, he received a county hero award
from Judge Executive M. McGee along with a lifesaving award from the local fire department. So this evening, it is my honor to recognize Brantley Dickerson with the 2026 creative problem solver award. Brantley is a student at Milberg South Elementary and he is the son of Jacob Dickerson and Tyler and Bron Hair. I'd like you to join me in congratulating Brantley as he comes up to receive his flag. MISS ORTON [applause] CONGRATULATIONS. [music] [applause] Our second recognition goes right along with being a creative problem solver and it was submitted by a parent of a student again at Hillberg Sally Elementary. I want to give you just a quick um story here. Healy Kane's son was diagnosed with a level three autism at the age of two and was completely nonverbal. At the age of five, he
was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome and was told he would probably never speak more than a few words. At the start of the school year, Keelley's son was placed with teacher Miss Amy Ragger. Miss Rager connected with the student and began communicating to the family of his progress. On November the 10th, Miss Rager shared a video with Keely of Coulson talking. Key um had this to say about Miss Rager. Amy isn't just a teacher. She is in our school system doing the Lord's work. And as a mom, I could not be more thankful to have her as my son's teacher. She truly does make a difference. I know Miss Ragger works with a great team of educators at Milberg South Elementary and tonight I would love to have Coulson if we can get him to come
up and present a certificate of recognition to Miss Rager. This is a creative problem solving in action. Let's see how this goes. Wonderful. [music] Can you tell your name? Hey, I can make it work. However, here's my mama. [laughter] Not even [laughter] in just a moment. We'll go out and try. Okay, one more. I'm going to conclude by thanking you board members. We want to thank you for the work that you do for Milber County Schools. January is National School Recognition Board, I'm sorry, National School Board Recognition Month, and you're responsible for making decisions um aimed at ensuring that every child in our district has a chance to succeed in school and life. Thank you for being creative problem solvers to our district. You are critical thinkers who inquire and reason together to design solutions
and develop innovative ideas. You embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. You balance logic and original thinking to solve real world problems. You persevere as board members through challenges to find creative solutions. And you often take calculated risks to solve problems. We want to thank you for your service to the students and to the staff of Mu County School District. THANK YOU. >> [applause] >> ALL the fans may join me in the lobby. We'll take some more pictures. HEAT. All right, we're down now to our treasures report which will not be as fun as all that board members. Uh tonight bring the financials as of December 31st which we got. Uh beginning with revenues, uh the total monthly receipts was $9,20,839.90. This is up 5.3 million from last month and down 4.3 million from the same
period last year. This last year we received bonding funds in December. So that was the $4 million. Uh see is unchanged. Federal is up 129,000. State is up 411,000. Taxes are down. Taxes are up, excuse me, 6 million. Uh, and food services is now uh for total monthly receipts of 41,305. And also on there, which it's balance sheet item only of investment income for the quarterly investments was $154,29. That's again, it's only it's a balance sheet item only. You're not going to see it on the the treasury report other than balance sheet expenditures. This month it was about 1.73 million in expenditures. It's up approximately 330,000 compared to the same period last year. Most significant bills in de in December were old wealth management old national wealth management for 476,787. Mil County Sheriff was 170,743
which was the uh fee that we paid to have taxes collected 3%. Uh Gordon Food Service 144,000 Escola which is uh for construction 127,90 TMCO which is roofing material 69,000 and Ross Terren the architects was 53,880. Payroll is 3.15 million. That's about 77,000 versus December of 24. Uh further council be able to break down fix and mix expenses on 1.3 million, utilities expense about 141,000 and variable expense of 285,000. Questions any questions on the transport? All in favor of approving the treasures report, please say I. All opposed. January January 2026 946,791.80. Uh general fund is 307,000. Fund 299,000. Construction about 48,000. Debt service 3,800. Those are fees uh related to debt service. and food service and daycare is about 29,000. Uh the high dollar payments are county fiscal court for 279,632. Uh and that's for
that's for the SRO. So it's something uh Danco construction 164,867 play Wisconsin 140 140,240 those are playgrounds and again county sheriff is 39,211 questions if not make a motion to approve second all in favor of approving payment of bills and salaries please say I fine post. Thank you. >> All right. And then the administrator report and I'll turn it over to the superintendent. We'll start with our architectural story. Chris is present for us. I'm Chris G. Just want to start with say happy [music] appreciation month. We brought a little something for you to distribute out. Just know everyone's thankful for you. I know our relationship with these radio but you guys do a lot of good work. I wanted to kind of come and give an update. It's been a little while since um in
front of you guys and I just want to give you kind of an update on project here. So, um, good news is, um, last time we met you, we we felt we couldn't start the longest elementary school childhood project because it was on the we got creative talking and Ken found a way for us to go ahead and start that. So, we got a head start working on design right now. probably miss one when he was having to talk about programming stuff, but trying to move that along parallel with the DFP process when the DFP gets approved, you know, and um hopefully be done with that around April and then maybe after that way they kind of are in sync. I know it's kind of nice right now. I know there was a a desire
to kind of get it moving so it doesn't look like that. um spend money dressing up this temporary solution found a way to just jump right into design and get it going. So um we anticipate about a 6 month design process. So since we just kind of started right before the holidays we're kind of right in the middle of schematic design right now. So that's that big yellow arrow there. Um our plan right now is to come back in February and get approval of schematic design for that and then we project um 2 months in design development construction documents and the next thing we did with an idea that construction would start late summer. Um so right now coming hopefully like I said schematic design approval in February um design development in April and then
construction document approval in June. So the idea would be it would um get the month of July probably contracting and stuff in August and kind of start maybe September 1 instructions how we're projecting right now. [music] So talking about the auxiliary gym. So we um last time we were here we brought the plans for sign approval. I think that was late October. Um, we took a little longer in the DD phase than I think we originally had planned to and I'm kind of glad that we did. So, after we got that approval, we got some additional feedback from the high school, the principal that director and working with Miss Warren facilities with Derek there and kind of were able to fine tune the plan, I think, to fit some of their needs a little better.
And by doing that, we were also able to right size the building to kind of get it to square footage that we can afford to build, which is, I think, the most important part of that. So, um, that phase was originally projected to be about 2 months. It's it's 3 months now. So, we're right in the middle of the design development. We're planning to come to the February board meeting to get design development approval there as well. Um, construction document approval on the April board meeting. Um, the idea would be the month of May. Um, any sort of bond selling would have happen in June, the June board meeting, we kind of approve the construction contract. The idea would be they can start construction on July 1st with a 12 month construction. So, we we
need to um we haven't talked to Kodell um since the holidays, but kind of get them back engaged to it and make sure they're [snorts] scheduled, but I think for what we're building um 12 months should be and then just an update on the DFP process. So, um we've done this kind of there's kind of two phases to this as I would say. One is the documentation. I walk every square foot of the district, take photographs, document the spatial needs, potential spatial deficiencies, and then just the conditions of things like flooring, roofing, windows, HBAC systems, all that stuff. So, that all got submitted to K that's been approved. So, now we're kind of in the the meeting and approval process. So, the first DF meeting is scheduled for next Thursday night here um or LBC,
sorry, um what it's officially called. the global planning committee on that that meeting is very highly kind of an introduction type thing kind of training for them KD represents going to call in and give this presentation we're going to try to pack that meeting with as much information as we can to try to make the process efficient so we're going to talk about some of the building conditions at that point review the existing DFP and then the facilitator that the district plan to bring on board will be here for that as well so our our target on that you know is to have that meeting next week and we have to advertise those meetings with like a 7-day notice So how they work with one schedule over the next couple months, but the idea would
be to have that kind of DFP kind of approved by April. So and that's going to line up really well with trying to keep the early childhood center kind of on track to change that. So the other thing I just wanted to share was kind of the updated plan for the auxiliary. Well, I guess I can stop. Any questions on the schedules of those share the updated plan? So, it's it's not much different than I'd say what you guys saw last time, but we have tweaked a few things to to better fit the needs of. So, uh again, we kind of developed this. I'm going to actually walk over anyway. So, this is your existing high school gymnasium here. And one of the ideas is that in order to have better circulation for visitor visitor
side to get over and utilize this lobby because this lobby is going to be the main door for every event that happens here within reason. Understanding the use of the gym, you know, if you have graduation has to come indoors, you're hosting a district event, you might have to open up the restroom, but the idea would be that be secured down and everyone comes through this new access. So to help move people from the visitor side to access the rest concession stands, we're going to reconfigure the classroom spaces that are underneath kind of this end of the gym and creating a hallway there to kind of help people move and not disrupt the game flows and all that stuff. I'm creating this new lobby here with restrooms, the gang restrooms for men and women, the
family restroom and elevator solves some existing accessibility issues. I don't know that building, but there's way the lower level works. the upper level elevator doesn't really go down to that level. It's just going to be a good way since as I understand it currently all the traffic kind of comes through the gym right now. We have two ticket offices like there have good flow through flow for having a vehicle on the oxygen that's different from the main you have two different places as well. um kind of the shape of it is kind of taken a little bit in the way of that. We need to keep some clearance here to access mechanical equipment on the second floor. The existing gym here access also g us a place to kind of mechanical huge. This is going
to be kind of a secure mechanical yard as well. There's not really back side of this the main highway of the school you know football stadium. It's really not bad. You don't have to see that nasty equipment and stuff really large here. We'll have seating for anywhere between 225 and 250. We're trying to fine tune them right now manufacturing mass multic places um properly sized and enough storage to secure this stuff. And then we have here I think used for questions. Appreciate your time. We'll be back with some more detailed drawings here about Thank you. middle school. Yeah. Sorry. [laughter] I got something. >> Sorry. Yeah. So, now the middle school's going to share some things that have been going on today. This is black. All right. So, one of the biggest things I know
everybody's heard of, of course, is our new passing pattern lab that we have. So, we we've highlighted those [clears throat] a ton this year. We've highlighted them with our ribbon cutting. Uh we highlighted them with other districts that's coming to see uh kind of what we had going on. And of course, Miss Ball had a major part in that. as Clark did as well. So with those, you know, the thought process is with eighth grade students when they're going to the high school, you talk about pathways, they they don't have a clue, they know the name, right? Uh so when they go in, they pick a pathway, they're just picking what sounds good to them at the moment. So they were talking, I know Miss Miller was part of it as well. you know, what's
the best way we can help kind of help these kids get as prepared as possible for picking a pathway that's something that they would be interested in, something they had some background knowledge, some reason why they're picking it other than just picking it because the name sounds cool or that sounds like something they would like. So, these labs give these kids an opportunity to try all various different uh aspects of what some pathways that's offered at the high school. um they can go through these labs, they can see they like it, they don't like it. Um there's 30 of them at the middle school. Uh obviously our eighth grade students won't get through all 30 I think through a 9 weeks. You can get through by three or four. Um but we have sixth, seventh,
and eighth all going through these labs. So the the goal is by the time these sixth grade get finished with eighth grade head to the high school, they have had a chance to go through each one of these labs and then they'll have some good background knowledge as to what they might want to get into when they do go to high school. Um so this is just some pictures here of them experiencing some stuff. Uh you got barbarism barber [laughter] [clears throat] that CAME OUT WRONG. YOU got I'm not even going to say it. I'm cosmetology. [laughter] That's right. Yeah. Cosmeology, right? Of course, these young ladies over here, they are drawing some blood. Of course, that's not real blood, but they they got this little cover here, and they got to draw blood, learn
how to draw blood. And then they're uh of course you've got [clears throat] uh where they're working with the videos here and that's where they're trying to set up. We're trying to work on something like the morning show kind of like what the high school has. Um so we're working on getting there and that's something those students are working through as well. So all these different areas that they're going through kind of getting experiences and uh giving those like I said some knowledge there in those areas you know and the students they actually they have an opportunity that they can you know kind of write up a report about their uh uh the lab that they're on or they can grab a faculty member and a staff member and bring them in and explain what
it's about and then that shows uh you know that uh as far as assessment. So, it's kind of a, you know, a little bit of a of an oral presentation for them. And then, uh, they will also tell you like one of them had me come in and do the welding station. And so, and I actually went through the welding, you know, all that. And, uh, then they told me that their score was like 40 points better than me. So, uh, so they're they're very proud of of those modules and and you know, in their proficiency in doing those, uh, as well. And uh there's another. And then this was part of the ribbon cutting. And this was uh kind of a segue into um our family consumer science uh uh class. Our students helped
help serve uh the food there. Uh and our legal students came over as well from the cul down there in that kind of bond little photo that they came over. So another goal of ours is with family consumer science and that's to kind of by the time they get an eighth grade hopefully we'll be able to offer that entry level credit their high school credit for those students that are interested cuz I know it's a very popular area at the high school ball. So you know if we can help them out uh by offering that class that's a hope as well. So, we're really proud of the practical arts classes that we have because we have aggra science which is an ability for our students to earn incredible credit there. Hopefully, we can get FCS
on board and get that opportunity as well. The Pax and Patterson labs of course is a variety of opportunities for the kids. Uh we just offer a lot for the kids that a lot of places don't offer. So, you know, they get a lot through our through our practical arts classes to help prepare them to get to the high school, you know, and before we were able to have the family consumer science, the aggra science and the max and patter, you know, the only way we were really exposing the students to new things were student clubs, you know, on club day and so, you know, that was only happening a couple times a month. So, this, you know, this really, you know, helps increase our exposure on a daily basis. Uh, classroom renovations. Um this
is where uh uh we took two of the while were originally originally high school labs and we turned them into two classrooms. So you know thank you all for for approving that. Uh that's like I said we're utilizing that space as you can see. Uh our goal was we had some teachers that had shared some spaces. So by very large classroom the two classroom we were able to make sure every teacher had their own space which was really important to them. So that that was a big deal to us just because we knew that would that would just help the overall school culture and everything that every every teacher had their own space. So being able to split those rooms made a big difference in us. The librarians are they're very happy with the new
signage that's uh uh in the library this year. um fieldhouse. Um this is kind of what we brought to you last year as far as fieldhouse goes and the fieldhouse now. So uh they are kind of in the final stages. Uh whenever I was out there the other day, they were uh putting some flashing and some things on on the roof from Trimco and uh they got it all got all leveled. So hopefully we'll uh we'll have access to that soon. Uh so a few more pictures there of the concession stand and then the bottom middle that's uh the uh where the storage area will be. Uh and uh you see nothing there which is really nice because there were all barns there and so uh I want to thank uh Mr. deal uh for
making sure that uh uh that was all removed. So all of the old buildings and barn uh it's it's all gone. So not not only was it an eyesore, but it was also a safety concern. You know you know it falling down or you know I mean you know uh good hiding spot for you know for a lot of different things. So uh so we're we're glad that that's gone. Um, and uh, uh, I wrote two spruce up the verb uh, grants and this was the new fence in the front lawn. Um, before this was an old rusted utility fence is behind that fence. So, um, like I said, um, that's the reason why it's there. Also, uh, we wrote a grant for an outdoor classroom. So, we want to thank the Mark Foundation for
for for that as well. And so uh uh we actually had uh the benches at North Middle. We moved those over and then we used the grant to uh pay for the concrete uh and the pavilion. So we now have an outdoor classroom uh at the middle school. And uh we also want to thank uh uh Derek Gil for having the concrete poured in our car rider unloading loading area. Um it was kind of a mosh pit whenever uh we were uh uh it was raining on the uh loading of the cars. So uh that was that's a big improvement. Uh and it may not seem like a lot but it really was a big help. It's a big difference. And um so I guess in December and I we got an email from uh
Sonic just we weren't even sure about it. We were looking at we're like, "Is this legit?" You know, we wasn't cuz it was just kind of odd that Sonic and Ron Clark, I don't know. It didn't feel right at the moment, but it was legitimate. So, so uh I call the uh Central City Sonic and uh so actually our Central City Sonic was ranked in the top 20 in the nation for something called a Coca-Cola challenge. As a result of that, Inspire Brands, uh, they actually, uh, that made made us qualify to send two middle school teachers to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. All expenses paid, paying for flights, uh, lodging, food, and everything. So once they land in Atlanta, they're they they pay for nothing. And so they will be attending uh Miss
Ashen Travis, uh she's a seventh grade math and science teacher and Miss Caitlyn Bingham is a sixth grade math teacher. They will be uh attending that on March 18th and 19th. So we're really super excited uh about the opportunity to send uh to teachers. So, so if you uh are around or you know somebody that works at Sonic or somebody that's in management, you know, thank them because like I said, it was our central city level Sonic that uh that that they helped us qualify for that. A couple years ago, 3 4 years ago, we had done a true RV inspired brand program. Somehow we can get through every year. I'll remember this. Uh I don't know, Eric, if you remember, we had got $5,000 from [groaning] our piece for Central City. You remember? Yeah,
I remember that when you said inspire or something and I didn't know if they were doing or something and you know they have course year two uh you know everything's been running smooth. Uh year one felt really smooth as well. Uh luckily a lot of procedures that we put in place you know still functioning well for year two and year three is going to be even better. [laughter] It could be better. [applause] All right. >> Report chairman, board members, month five began for the second week of December and ran through actually yesterday. Um the attendance percentage for the month was was 92.53% and then the enrollment was up u to 4,119. So a pretty good month as far as enrollment. And uh tenth percentage too that was up from last month. And uh just kind
of looking back over the years, that's usually been a tough month for us as far as uh sickness. So, it was good to kind of get through that month. Hopefully, we've escaped that. Unfortunately, I think a lot of families were sick over the break. So, but um our elementary division leader for the month was uh Rivet Elementary at 94.28% and Muerberg County High School at 92.45%. And that is the month five road. All right. So at this time we'll move down to our board action item and item A is second reading update of board policy 01.1 to add a student representative to serve as a non- voting adviser to the board of education. Um this was brought to you all for the first reading um last month and so it's just a second reading for
us to add a non- voting student member to our um board. I make a motion to approve second by Miss Johnson. All in favor of approving the second reading and to add the non- voting student advisor to our board, please say I. All the post hear none. Item B is to consider the regular monthly meeting dates and times for the 26 calendar year for carry 61.820. You have those uh meeting dates in your board packet. Um all those meetings are at 5:30 and then you have uh we have the addition of work sessions every 3 months. Those dates are also um at 5:30. questions have a motion by Mr. Mr. All in favor of approving um the regular monthly meeting dates and times for the 26th school year please say I all opposed hear none.
Um item C is to consider agreement between Muenberg County Board of Education and Kentucky School Plant Management Association for the facilitation of the local planning committee process. Um this is an agreement with that association. We'll bring in um a facilitator who is actually uh a retired superintendent from Kentucky and um he's going to kind of lead us and oversee the whole um district facilities planning process. Any questions? Can I motion to approve motion by Mr. There are second by Miss Y. All in favor of the agreement um please say I. >> I. All opposed. Hear none. I got really quiet on. Um item D is to consider extending the superintendent contract by one year. Um, and this is um, so I guess okay. All right. I don't want to make a big statement, but um,
she's going to retire. So, we are going to extend her contract um to cover through her retirement. Um, and I'm going to make a motion to um, consider extending the contract for another year. >> Second by second by Mr. for >> until she retires like so like that's for a year at a time or one to four years. So um have a motion by myself second by Mr. Porter. All in favor consider extending the superintendent contract by one year. Please say I. All opposed. I hear none. And then um with that being said um and approved um we need to have um a vote to authorize um myself to sign the contract that's been extended motion by Mr. Porter second by Miss Y. All in favor of authorizing um the chairman to sign the extended
contract please say I. All opposed. I hear none. Item F is to approve comprehensive district plan review and approval. Mr. Chairman, board members. Each year, districts and schools across the state develop comprehensive improvement plans to guide the planning for the school year. These plans are based on the data received from state testing and are inclusive of numerous goals, strategies, and activities to support school improvement and most importantly, student achievement. The value of a sound comprehensive plan lies in its ability to be changed as the need arises. Plans sometimes need be only slightly amended or revised due to changing goals or practices. With input from the planning committee, the comprehensive district improvement plan has been revised and updated to include new goals to reflect the school district's overall performance based upon the accountability model for this
school year. The goals of the CF are based on an analysis of disagregated data from multiple sources. Revisions have been made to each school's comprehensive plan as well to address the needs identified by multiple measures in order to establish goals that will bring each school into compliance during this continued transition period for the Kentucky Department of Education and have been approved by each school's SBDM council. They are actually they have a legislative bill in house right now that they're they make adjustments to the accountability model every single year. So, we're looking at more attendance as opposed to um school climate. a couple of tweaks like that taking writing off in order to make the test shorter for everybody. So each year that testing system has some updates which are always intended to make it better
for schools and again this is just the state test is just one item that we look at while our ready diagnostics and other interim assessments are also used as well. So with that said, the school improvement plans and the CES have been updated and submitted through the e-roof platform to the Kentucky Department of Education. If you have any questions, it's a big piece. I'd be happy to get into that or like I said, this is a continuous process. We can always revisit and come back to things as we go through. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> A motion to approve by Mr. Second by Miss Johnson. All in favor of approving the comprehensive district plan review and approval, please say I. I. Allos. I hear none. Item G is to consider
early hire of the finance officer position for the Milberg County School System. Mr. Chairman, board members. Uh, as already mentioned, a lot of change coming. Uh, so, uh, we have received the resignation of Mr. Blessinger as the finance officer [clears throat] beginning effective February 28th, 2026. So we are asking to fill that position early so that that individual whoever the individual is uh to be named to that position would be able to work with Mr. Binger to know really where where our files stored or any other information needs to be shared uh before he's not with us anymore. Uh so I would recommend that the board approve the early hiring of the finance officer uh position for me county schools. Mr. All in favor considering the early hire finance officer position please say I all
item H to consider update of board procedure 02.433 43318.1. >> Thank you, Chairman Raer. This is the update to procedures, so it only requires one reading. Uh, with this, this is our school staffing procedures, and we have had the merger of the high schools, we've had the merger of the middle schools, and throughout that process, what we actually do has not really matched what our procedure said we did, where we've had some positions combined. Instead of one financial secretary, now we have two. We wanted our procedures to match what we actually do and so that you you have all of this uh some of the changes that have been made. Um so you you had this information opportunity to look over it. I would recommend that we uh approve the update of policy 02.431 A.
Welcome to answer any questions you have. I know we talked when I came in um and just this is done every year. So if positions are not needed or need to be something different then with what they had. >> Absolutely. If enrollment were to decrease and obviously as a part of our ran numbers today looking at staffing you know the enrollment numbers as well as staffing out. I want to throw that out there. So that's my expectation that we always have that same staffing if it's not needed. So I'm going to make a motion to approve second. All in favor considering the board procedure 02.4331 say I hear that. And then down to item I and that's to consider the SFCC fiscal [music] year 26 offer of assistance. Uh this is for the SFCC offer
of assistance. That's the facilities uh one where you can use these funds to pay for a bond. Um, so really with what happens is the the 24,340 is is really uh funds that the state gives us to make a bond payment. So I recommend you you take this and then use that for [snorts] when you build the auxiliary gym. It's going to be a free I think I checked with our bonding agent. I think it's 3 or 400,000 this time. It's not it's not a huge amount. I think it's just based on rates and it may be much more when you go to actually bid it out. So, it's a basically free money your tax. >> All right. I need a motion to approve Mr. Say I Mr. Porter. All in favor of considering the
SMCC [music] fiscal year 26 offer of assistance, please say I. I. All opposed. Hear none. Item J is to consider our draft budget. >> All right. So fiscal year 27 draft budget. um just the framework and then I will uh whoever becomes my position I will really brief them on how I did it and they can you know they'll make it their own but uh you know this this is our fund one and just the some of the the main things it's not our fun two those funds aren't done until the until the uh tenative budget however um I did not do that in this, but I did one that I will show you that I did add on there just to make it a little bit easier on the next person. Uh, again, stewardship,
use of funds. Uh, one thing I will say that I will carry with me as I walk out of this district is that I think we've been a very good stewards of the people's money. So, that's come through in our budget and audits and all those kinds of things. So, and our use of funds are are usually very prudent. So, um, major construction is going to happen. So, you know, obviously you do have to consider those items. It's really not going to reflect too in in the draft budget, but you will see it in the tenant budget. Okay. Um, and then obviously maintenance issues that we always uh want to consider. So, so revenue line automatables uh the increases the beginning balance I increased it 550,000 to 25 million uh TVA I bumped it up
to 7 million this time just because it's been coming in higher I still I think you know we'll see what what it comes in at this year you know last year came in at eight and you know they told us it was I mean it just it's everywhere and So before I also another thing before I walk out I'm going to try to get with um Rebecca Rmmer to get us and with the DVA folks and and the the finance department so state so I can have that conversation. I'm really make sure that they understand how that works. But investment investment interest I increased at 630,000. again that's the um that's it's going to show up as the the uh investment income. So that from the the annuities that we've done and the the the
stock sorry the word stock that we have that's with Greenville Elementary. So that's going to be reflected on there. Uh decreases the bank interest. I've decreased it by 400,000 because the as the Fed fund rate goes down, so does our interest. So, it's been decreasing. So, it's uh not not going to have quite as high as it was in the past. So, it was at 1.5 million and last year we got about 1.2. So, from that uh general fund revenues, local revenue is about 19 million. The state revenue including seek is about is 20 20.9 million. Beginning balance again I put at 25 million on behalf payments those are non-cash items that's 13.7 million. Then federal revenue which is the Medicaid funds at the excuse me that we generate that's about 300,000. So and then
total general fund revenues including beginning balance about 79 million. So I mean that's our beginning balance everything that's included in that in the budget. So you know about 55 million is our is what we we use every year. Cool. Yeah. Easy. Uh contingency is at 21.6. Instruction about almost 32.5 million. Student support service about almost 2 million. Instructional staff is 2.7 million. District admin is 2.3. School admin is 3.3 million. Business support services about 1.4 million. Uh plant operations and maintenance about a little over 8 million. Um so any black off or anything at the schools would that come from the >> the plant operations and maintenance? >> Okay. >> Uh and actually that's been adjusted down a little bit because you know last year we had another million on top of that for uh
for roofing that was done at the the not the coating that we put on the metal part. for the main portions of the roof. So, we had that and so that's been pulled off. Student transportation is 4.6 million. Um they, you know, obviously buses are not going to be in there for next year cuz we did the four this year. And then food service operations 52,000. That's the fund. You know, the food service has their own funds they operate on. The food service operations are general fund dollars that come and help out with that. And then community service is at $321,000. Now, uh contingency again 19.1 salaries is about 28.4 million. Employee benefits another 4 million sorry math wrong 13.68. Uh pair professional is 684,550. Purse property is 2.27. Other pur service is about a
million. Supplies at 5 million. Property is about 2 million. And then debt service and miscellaneous. Now that's $342,876. Our debt service is over $2 million. However, that's the portion that the general fund contributes. So just so there's no confusion there. So are there questions? How often have we been for bank? >> Uh I mean we kept banks for about 5 years when we when we switched the first Kentucky and then we bid it out again when it went to. Any questions? Second order. All in favor considering the draft budget, please say I. All done. And down to item K. Considering the salary schedule for fiscal year 26. >> Uh this will be to amend the salary schedule for my position. It's the base salary and the multiplier. What the movie did was they made the
multipliers the same as every other director which involved shifting the monthly rate to a different rate. Make a motion to approve second. All in favor considering this 26, please say I. I. All oppose. None. We're down now to our board consent agenda items and these are as follows. the approval of the minutes of the prior board meeting, a review of personal information data security practices, guidance, and implementation as stated in regulation to be held by August 31st. Um 702 K 170 section 3 and technology plan January 26 to July 2027 and consideration of filter request. Everybody's had a chance to look at all that motion to approve. All in favor of working items, please say I hear I turn
