001I'm going to call the meeting to order. Regular meeting minute, school committee, Tuesday, December 9th, 2025. Uh, any public comment? >> No. No. >> Nobody here. Very good. Consent agenda. The consent agenda consists of three items. Approval of donation that long list of surplus property and approval of the draft minutes of November 18, 2025. Would somebody like to make a motion to accept all the items in the consent agenda? >> Second. Okay. Are there any comments on those three items in the consent agenda? Um my question is a lot of them say asset tag unknown what is going forward will the asset tags be known >> I can't answer that can be superintendent >> I can if the asset tag is unknown that's because years ago it was not tagged anything new that we have
002is >> thank you >> any other questions on any items of the consent agenda don't give a call vote All in favor, raise your hands, please. And it passes unanimously. >> Okay. Sharers report. Uh do we have some items for the good of the organization? >> I do. >> Right over here. We have number one. >> Um wanted to mention that I went to the um advisory committee appreciation dinner and meeting back in October. I forgot to mention it in November. Um it was a wonderful night. There was a lot of people who were here. Um, and it's such a great like if you ever have a chance to join one of those meetings, I would encourage you to do so because it's so great to see both alums who are part of the committees
003and just other people within the community who share information. And so we had a chance, we had a lovely dinner. Um, [clears throat] and then we had a chance to meet in the groups by CTE. Um, and so each one had, I think, um, help assisting one the night of having I think 10 members there. Um and so it was a really it's it's interesting because like those committees actually like look at the textbooks look at you know talk about what's happening in currently in the industry of the people who are in the field anything that they would recommend and so it's a really nice time to kind of bridge between the community and um the school um I don't know if anybody has anything else who was there you actually weren't there that's right
004okay but it was just a wonderful experience and I forgot to mention it last time but it's really you have a chance to attend another one, it would be great. >> Very good. Heidi, >> um so um some of you may have heard of this, you may may not have. Um something that we are doing that is free. Um that will be very helpful to us is we are involved in an MSDA recommissioning. Um Michelle is our point person for this. Um Michelle is our director of operations and what they are going to do is help us evaluate particular systems in our building. Um so they're looking at buildings that were had uh you know recently built or had new renovations. So the overview of the systems and equipment that will be reviewed are our
005HVAC systems, our electrical systems, our plumbing systems, the building envelope, and our building management system. So those are a few short words, but gigantic systems that run everything. Um, so the visit they um they're physically coming here. Um, we're giving them reports. We're answering their questions and they're visiting on the 29th of de December 29th will be their first visit. And we're looking forward to working with them so that we can make more of a concrete plan for our longterm capital plan. That is for the good organization. >> Good. Any other for the good of the organization? I'm inserting item 4B for the bad of the organization. For the bad of the organization, this is the last regular meeting for Maggie on the school. >> Maggie has been a superstar for us since she has
006been here. I have had um a number of asks for her during her time here, including uh the capital planning committee and the um negotiation for task force subcommittee, whatever we call it. and she has made, despite only being here with us for a few years, she's made remarkable contributions to both of those exceptionally challenging efforts. And I can tell you that uh as uh anybody who wants to you know plan how to get things done here uh she's going to be very greatly missed uh for her uh skill set and for the attitude that she brings uh to all the committees that she has been I would of course like to round from That's unnecessary kindness. But um as maybe most of you know we our family is being relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. And
007that is why merely being not for any I would never leave you guys for any other reason. I really really really love this company. So but you're going to be warm hopefully. [laughter] Anyway, thank you Jonathan. Thank you to everybody in in the Minute Main community for all the welcome and for being such a great place for to grow and learn and be become pretty awesome adults. >> Thank you so much, Matthew. You uh certainly made my job as chair a whole lot easier. Think that we have full agreement on backing interact with you. So that's for the dad of the organization that she's leaving which brings us into a more cheerful topic which is the principal leadership report. See if I can do this. Um before I have the students go, we do have
008a little bit more for good of the organization. Um today our superintendent was uh met with our commissioner of education. He was here for a conference and he was able to be part of that. Um the other part that we're very excited about is our uh computer science and cyber security freshmen actually developed these uh LED trees for us and we wanted to make sure that we highlight uh what's been going on our holiday season that even with programming web you can definitely come up with something unique. So um we're very excited that's actually in the main office and I shut all the lights off and took this picture because I was very excited to have something like that. So that is that >> one thing also something that we found out today in our
009in our chats um the commissioner is a resident of Arlington and um so we'll we'll be coming back very soon. >> So um to start off our leadership report we have our junior representative and she's going to do her her part. and in person in person. >> I'm [clears throat] Jamie Donghue, the junior class president. Um, one of the fundraisers that we're currently planning on doing is a penny war. So, pretty much each grade will get a jar that kind of looks like this. And every time you put a coin in, it will count one point for your grade. Every time you put a dollar bill, like uh like a $1 dollar bill in somebody else's jar, it would take away one point. If you put a $5 five dollar bill in another team's jar,
010it would take five points out. Um, so we hope that's going to make a lot of money. I think that's pretty much all I have for right now. >> What What are you going to do with me? >> I think we're planning to do a dance around March. It'll probably go crazy. >> What surprise that they win? I think right now we're think some sort of like maybe pizza party type thing. >> Pizza party, not an all expense paid visit to the school community. >> I think a pizza party sounds like a much much better. >> Yes. >> How do you know if someone's when someone's put it in the other uh gray jar? >> I think at the end we'll do like a count and code how many pennies or dollar bills are in
011each one. So if I were in the first grade and I put something in the fourth grade, I would remove coins from the first. >> Great. Now you just put it in and just put count it afterwards. >> Okay. >> And you guys are being nice. When I've played this in the past, it's been >> each penny is worth a point and each like a quarter would be 25 points, but if you put in a dollar bill, you move a 100. [laughter] >> People get vicious, but you raised a lot of money because they're like that that coin has a that jar has a lot of money. history for 20 and something and then you think they lose it but ultimately you're raising a lot. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Class >>
012depending on the size of your jar pennies can be very very heavy. >> Yes. >> Is that it questions? >> Hello. Uh, I'm Matilda. I'm the senior class president and one of the student representatives. It's fun to be here in person. I've never done this. Um, I am going to be reporting on the pep rally and the platterpuff game that happened however many weeks ago this was now, two weeks ago. Um, this was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving when we had a half day. We went to a few classes and then we spent the rest of our um, day at the pep rally and then the powderpuff game. The pep rally was super fun. So, it was a powderpuff game. Um the pep rally consisted and started of all the fall sports kind of ran in
013and did a little introduction. So we got to see all the athletes with their teams and they were all having a great time. Um then we played a few games. You can see over here that's Mr. Romano being fed whipped cream by a student who was blindfolded. Um we played like a um a mattress game where you had to pop balloons. There was a game where people rode on folding tables. It was a whole lot of fun. Um, and the winner of each I'm not I'm a little biased, but the seniors won every single game, which was super fun. Um, but then at the end of the pep rally, we had our lips sync battle, which is something Mr. Dolea has spent a lot of time planning. Um, I was happy to participate in it.
014Um, so, uh, the other people that went into a lot of planning were two gym teachers, Miss Papa Christos, and Miss Plater. And we spent hours practicing, but it was super duper fun. We had a little lip-s sync battle. It ended up being quite a dance competition as well. Um, we had some volunteers be judges and it was a whole thing. It was a rivalry game between Keefe Tech and Minute Man, which was super fun. And then at the end of that, we all went outside for the juniors versus seniors powderpuff game. A highlight of this is that the football players end up putting on their little cheer costumes and doing little pyramids and fun little things like that. Um the seniors are in the black shirts and the juniors are in the pink shirts.
015Um we keep it kind of traditional with girls play, but we're not super strict about that. So anybody can play. Um it's really just anybody but the football players. But that was a super fun game as well. And then we were released for break. So that was a fun day. Does anybody have any questions? Yeah, we we've been talking about that you you had some temporary bleachers set up. Were they set up for this game? >> Um I believe they were. >> And was that used at all? Was that people Were people happy with them? >> Yes, we have loved having the bleachers. I was able to use the bleachers for multiple soccer games and for the um the powderpuff game and it's been so nice to have the bleachers so everybody's not crowded up
016against the fence. >> Yeah. Thanks. Are you keeping track of the hours until graduation? >> Maybe not the hours, but like right now it's the months, I guess. Like we're almost into the new year. >> Soon as they pass into January, the seniors are in different. >> Yeah, right now we're in the trenches of the college stuff. >> Well, good luck with that. >> Thank you. >> Any [snorts] other questions from our senior student representing? Glad about to do this in person. >> In real life, you're like famous. >> Thank you so much for having me. >> Thank you. >> You're awesome. >> I got to tell you, I feel like a teacher again presenting like this. So, I'm going to try to do my best in front of every committee here. Um, actually, before
017I go into what we did there, Matilda's given me a lot of credit, which does not need to be given. There's the skit was a very well joint effort done by the seniors and the two gym teachers. So, I just kind of approved here and there, but other than that, there's a video out there of me dancing somewhere and lipsticking, but we'll leave it at that. Um, but also these little things that we do really make a great school community, and that's something that we're very excited about to have. And, uh, one thing that wasn't mentioned is we we've continued our lunchon, by the way, with Keef Tech. So, our football players went over to Keith Tech since we were hosting the football game uh the day before. We were have a nice lunch in
018with them, you know, kind of breaking bread together before the big game. So, and then next year we host them and then we go to them to play. So, it's been a good [clears throat] a good November. But on to the important stuff. Uh for me, I'm going to be talking uh admissions update based off of what we talked about last time, what's been occurring and what's been uh what we're doing. So we can give you an update. So one thing that we always talk about and this has been our focus the whole year whether you're a teacher, whether you're a student, the whole school is engagement and ownership. So when it comes to admissions, that's exactly what we focus on. What's our engagement and what's our ownership of this process? Um what I'm going
019to report here on this slide is if you note the numbers that you received at the last meeting um where you have out of district in the orange and uh blue in total district. So that was the numbers that you received last meeting. This meeting uh we're happy to tell you that we've made an improvement where our total in district has increased as well as our out of district. And something that we added in this time was uh 89 applicants that have been started. So we went into uh Blackbot to see where people were and we counted off there. So things that we've been working on is obviously to keep increasing this number. So you know next month we're higher, we're higher and we're higher from there. Um so what have we been doing? Uh,
020one of the things obviously from the last meeting that we talked about people that were stuck on the application, we had physical one-to-one phone conversations with them to see what was hanging them up, what we could do to help. Zoom meetings to also do that to work with people to make sure that they could uh continue on with the process that they were stuck on at that point in time. But I'd like to jump in on >> the most common thing um that was delaying the applications was the essay portion because people were worried that they wouldn't get their extra ticket if they didn't have a wonderful essay. So part of the phone calls and Zoom meetings were thank you. This is important. Um however this is not scored just a reminder. Um, but I
021love that that feeling of this process is important still exists. Um, because that was something we didn't want to. >> And then on top of that, we've uh continued outreach with our uh our email. So, we actually looked at a percentage of sending out emails of a reminder of applications. We've had about 66% open rate with our middle school families that we've sent out with. Um, we are sending out a holiday postcard of a reminder. Hey, happy holidays. Don't forget to apply. Uh, we're always here open. I have been working weekly uh with the director of admissions to get a numbers update every time and kind of palm solve, see where we're at so that we can continue to improve to increase our numbers as we're moving forward. Uh, some of our upcoming things is
022we do have the winter wonderland. So, we'll have application stations available during that that event. Um, actually, we have tours going on tonight and we have application stations available for them. So, if they're going on a tour, we can get them to immediately apply um with the interest that's there. We are going to be attending lunches at our middle schools like we've done in the past. So, uh staff members, we we rotate that out too. It's not just directors. We we find staff members that are also involved as well during that time that really want to promote their programs too and also get out there in front of the community to let them see who's there. And I'm going to let the superintendent kind of talk about this last part because she was kind of
023the brainchild on that. So I'm going to let her kind of take over a little bit. >> Thank you very much. Um so something that lots of other um vocational school districts do is they have on the spot um applications at local areas in different towns. Um so you don't have to wait, you don't have to have a Zoom call and that's something that we haven't done at at this point. Um but I know uh I think Maggie was just talking about a gorgeous new community center um today. uh we need to physically be out there so we can send out communications and have an opportunity for um us to go to them as opposed to them just coming to us. So right now we do go and we meet with um students and do
024a presentation, we go to the lunches, but the missing piece um is parents. Um that's huge. So if you in your towns have a particular location that you know is a hot spot like I know in situ the local library was the place where everybody would go. You want to be seen and connect with families there. If there is a particular place that you recommend in your town because you know your town's best, please shoot me an email with a recommendation for where that would be. Um of course the local middle schools could be an option. I am not sure that will be the most comfortable place because we are going to be talking to people about potentially leaving the place they have been since kindergarten. So an alternative location would be >> that is
025my final slide so I'm happy to answer any questions. Um, so I received emails from the Lexington CPAC and I saw that there was a meeting with Minute Man on Friday night and it said that it was like within district CPACs. I wasn't sure about any details because I couldn't be there but yes wonder. So that was um really from our CPAC they wanted to make sure that correct information about admissions was being shared and just open it up to all of our sending districts. Amy actually attended. Can I put you on the spot to share that? >> It was great. Um, yes. So, every member district seat pack was invited there. I I'm not sure what towns the participants were from because it said their names but not their towns. That would have been
026nice to know. Um, but it was recorded because a lot of people did ask if it could be recorded. So you can probably find it on the the Lexington CPAC was the host and our um chair of our CPAC did a great quick presentation and then we were there to answer questions. Um it was mostly about admissions the process. We went into details on spent blind and when me or my our department would get involved after the process. Lots of really great questions from parents. Um when I was talking to the CPAC chair from Lexington prior um she said that some of the feedback she had gotten was that they didn't know that Minute Man had special education services. [laughter] I was like, >> "Yes, >> like, so, you know, we we answered as many
027questions as we could. It took an hour the whole time. It was very like back and forth with questions most of the time, which was really nice, more conversation like, but >> was it well attended?" >> Um, I'm thinking more people are going to watch it because it was recorded and being sent out and it was a Friday night. 6:30 on a Friday night. So, what were they 12:15 people? So, I think for 6:30 p.m. on a Friday night. That's not bad. >> That is not bad. [clears throat] >> I thought it was a great idea. When I got the email, I was like, "Wow, that's cool." >> So, I hope we can do more things like that so more people are spreading that good gossip about what happens at me. >> Question. Um so
028it was hosted by Lexington so that Lexington could understand the Minute Man admission process. It was hosted the Lexington CPAC was the organizer the organizer for the Zoom call and whatnot. But um I think it started with the initiation from our CPAC to better explain Minute Man our process and get the word out because it was every member district CPAC was invited. >> Okay. >> And offered to ask to share out the link to all of their membership. >> All right. Great. >> Again, that's us going to them. Yes, we have our own. It's hard to get people >> to them. Do you have an idea of um where we are in admissions at this point compared to last year? >> I do. Um >> okay, she better she does. >> Um we are about
02950 applications below where we were last year. However, we were not tracking um the total number of applications in process. Um, so where we are right now, um, if you saw Paul's slide, we're at that point where we want to hit 230. We don't end up with a ton of finished applications. Um, last year we accepted 230 students. That is our target number to get to again. Um, so it looks like with the number of applications open and the ones you have completed, >> but you have a problem with the essay that you explain. >> More than just that, people are nervous. This is a new system. Every single sending district just approved a policy talking. I don't know if you all know that. Um, that is different. Um, every single sending district had to
030talk about and approve an access policy, which means now they have to put our information on their website. Um, they have to uh they have certain dates um by which they have to give us um names and addresses of students. It it made things feel a little more stressful, I would say, than it has been in the past. Um, and every single school committee at all of our sending districts has been talking about vending. Um, which means who goes there, where to so that that is a we >> Yes. But we have to make sure that we are still, like I said, spreading that good gossip about about us. I can tell you that the seventh graders in Lexington received their communication medically. >> Oh, >> and is that the end of the report? >>
031That is the only thing I asked. Is it possible, Mr. Chair, if we could let our students head back home? >> Well, I know that they have lots of homework to do, but I would hope that they would um uh depart the meeting and and do so. if anyone by accident have a social. >> Thank you everyone. >> Very good. Superintendent's leadership of war. >> Um so the first I think someone mentioned already um the bleachers that we had for a short time that were temporary bleachers. um really really makes us know that we have to get to that phase two of our athletic fields in a timely fashion. Um right now we're exploring partnerships other than Leslie. Um, I know all of you know this, but I want to say at a public meeting,
032we currently are no longer pursuing the partnership with Leslie University for a long-term um renovation of our athletic fields. It um did not work out. So, we have to move forward because we can't spend any more time without the things that our kids deserve. Um, so we're exploring um other um public private partnerships and I hope you will hear an update on that um very soon. Um the state update, I love that we're in person for this actually. Um is we've been waiting with baited breath for um the state's update on what our graduation requirements uh may look like. And Alice pointed out this irony. This report is titled Reimagining High School. Yet it's on an old composition notebook. >> [laughter] >> had a heart attack when I saw it. >> It just Oh, and
033a and a piece of masking tape in December 2025. Um, so Jul is a lot to digest. Julia is going to send you a link to this report. It says interim report of the statewide recognation council. That means this is what what they are recommending for us to use for mastery and for um course completion. Um in short it looks like mass core is what they are promoting overall. Um and the biggest difference right that uh right now would be mass core requires algebra 2 as an end. um and as a level of achievement. Right now, MCCAST requires algebra 1 and geometry and that is quite a big uh difference when it comes to mastery. So, um they also have other information about potential seals that we could have on diplomas and what that looks
034like their relative would come to find. Um, but I would love for to give you some homework, some um, homework between now and um, January to take a look at this, look at the charts. Um, and we will come back. I'm sure there will be statewide discussion on this and I will have some nice shortened highlights um, that I will share in the future um, so I can field your questions on this. Hey, aren't they doing like aren't they recommending competency exams which is sort of similar to MCCAST but different? I mean like so this a part of this recommendation is that there are end of course mastery exams which right now we do have an end of course mastery exam for bio sciences. Bless you bless you. um how that would look less in
035the future we don't know. Um so if they are if we are developing brand new tests that's one whole wild thing. If we are using a test bank that already exists and breaking it out by se who knows um they do have um desi staff assigned to each of those things to examine those logistics now that this is shared publicly. Um I I will say I do think it's important to have a common um standard for mastery across the state. Um my background is I came from an urban school district. I taught premcaps. Um and it broke my heart that we would graduate um students and they um they didn't get what they needed. Um, I was actually just sharing with Pam recently, um, the state of special education was abysmal. Um, kids would be
036passed through and people wouldn't give kids what they deserve. Um, and maybe the pendulum swung too far the other way, but I am um, I I I hope it doesn't swing back. Um, because if there is no standard, there is no standard. Um right now the good news is Minute Man we do have a policy in place um for our graduation um with both coursework and mastery. Um however I think for equity and um actually just straight up equity period for children across the state of Massachusetts. Um I hope there is some sort of um common standard that we all are required to uphold. I don't know what that's other than that I have no strong feelings other [laughter] um and that is my um that is my report. >> Are we going to hear
037more about this subject in the future? Yeah, >> I want to know how they're going to get all the seals from the right diplomas and how big the diploma has to be in order to >> they wouldn't decide, Alice. They would make put that on the school district. >> I know. I'm just imagining the logistics >> finance report. Sarah, >> yes. Um we met last evening reviewed the warrants which are the expenses as we do uh twice a month. We also reviewed um the superintendence budget uh version one which had some um some cuts from the previous time that we saw the budget. And my understanding is that we will see the superintendent's version two um soon and it'll be presented to the school committee on December 22nd. [snorts] >> And let me add we
038are uh a little vagger on the budget at this point because there's something going on that may have impact on aspects of budget which be talking about later today. But uh I will say that the numbers that have been shown to us so far are uh pleasing very pleasing to think and the real details will be coming to this future and we have to throw in an active meeting there because of the vag right now. We'll do so if we need to, but we have things that prevent us from nailing it as much as we would like, but we're pretty happy with the presentation that was given to us. >> Would that be fair to say? >> Absolutely. >> Good. Any other I'm sorry that we don't have more feed at this time, but that's
039what we got. >> Sarah, you said it was going to be presented to us in December 22nd. January smile. >> January will be the public hearing the public hearing. So, you see, >> right? But do we you said that we would be presenting on December 22nd? Do we have another meeting coming up? Do you see that? >> Just curious. >> Uh that's the scheduled meeting which we present to you complete >> December. December 22nd >> Monday night meeting next week. >> Nope. December 22nd is a finance committee meeting. >> Okay. >> Right. So our meeting >> before Oh yeah. So I'm sorry. Our our finance and then the So then the school committee sees it before the public hearing >> the 13th probably. in January. >> January 13th. Yeah. >> When When is the public
040hearing? >> What? I'm sorry. What day is public hearing? In January. I don't have that. something. Um, I can make sure that if it does in fact exist, you will receive an invitation to it from Juliet in a calendar invite. >> I don't have it on my schedule. I don't know. >> I don't know the public hearing. I had a school committee meeting on January 13th and I feel like we should have a schedule meeting to see it before that unless there's some other >> I don't think that's the public hearing. I thought for some reason I thought it was the end of January. I think it's the end of January. I just don't know the exact date. >> I count we'll get that date to you. You'll have >> I don't think we have
041a solid date yet. I think you need to go to the 22nd finance committee meeting. >> I think we did have a date for the public hearing. >> Found it. Huh. It is Thursday, February 5th. Oh, so it's the beginning of my >> That sounds more like it. >> Yeah. >> What time is that? >> Uh 6:30. >> Do you all have that? >> Yes. Well, it must been posted somewhere. >> Yeah, >> we sent you a sheet of the calendar on it. The budget calendar on anything else on the thin uh budget information this point. Just very happy there's not a school committee meeting on December 27th. Yes, someone else. >> Subcommittee reports policy subcommittee Alice Luca. So we have again a very short policy sub report. It's not for board. It's a little
042longer. So we approved three policies to bring forward to recommend to you from section I. However, they are not ready. We will see them in January and hopefully some more beyond that because if you actually think about the number of policies that we have, we need to be bringing more than three in a month or we'll never finish. So there are hundreds of them. So anyway, we'll be back with more in June and the capital planning subcommittee met yesterday. Mr. Leoo even came um you know he's volunteering to help us and you know he had a a bit of a peak uh issue and so he was on crutches but even so he came to the to the capital planning meeting so thank goodness for him. It was Maggie's last meeting with the planning subcommittee
043meeting and as Jeff said, Maggie's been really great to work with. So, thank you, Maggie. And since you're only going to Florida for a finite number of years, you could come back, you know. So, um I don't know if maybe um Superintendent Driscoll wants to talk about the HVAC AI thing. >> Oh, sure. Um so there when we went to the joint conference um one of the presentations we saw um was from a com is it train I don't know why I can't get that the company is called train um and what they do is there's this um AI uh system that supports um facilities managers and um operations uh directors um so that instead God bless you. Having a generalist look at your HVAC system, your electrical system, your plumbing system, and then having
044to go out and find a particular specialist after you diagnose yourself. Um, this AI system monitors everything and recommends the specific type of support you would need um in short time essentially which limits the amount of um support you need for somebody to let's say go look at the pipes and what is this happening or let me look at the uh uh the I don't know plumbing system or electrical system though. There's this wonderful video that they showed us um with the amount of people that it takes without um an an automated monitoring system to get to the root cause of problems. Um it was very convincing and appealing and Michelle and I will be meeting with them to find out what that looks like, what it takes. Um and I don't know if it
045was Zos or someone asked me, oh would we then have to buy their systems? Um there we would not have to um this company patches into any system. Um so that that is very interesting for us to look at while we are doing the MSBA recommissioning. Um because we uh we want to make sure we're long-term planning um to keep this building in the best shape possible. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> And then we also talked about um that there is a controls contract with firm that manages that sort of thing for the district. So that that's something we talked about before, but it was a question of switching to a different company. Um there was some discussion about um the future financing and how we're going to do that. Um there was also
046discussion about um the fabled on-site insight report and the the sort of strategy that the district is adopting to look forward towards more more less reactive activity more planning and focus planning for the long term and that's fair to say. So that [clears throat] is um the focus of the capital planning subcommittee. We're so fortunate to have Steve and Ford helping us out. >> Any questions? We're going to be hearing a lot more about this this year. We're going to also hear about a possible plan to to fund the um ongoing repairs and maintenance we're going to need for the next many decades. That's one of the goals of capital. >> Consider asking Monte about their experience with train. Um it was the last couple years I had I I was there. So it was,
047you know, almost 10 years ago, but they came in and put in a lot of cost-saving measures like all the the lights would go off if there wasn't any facto and it sounded good, but after they finished their work, a lot of the classrooms were very very cold and so we thought maybe they were saving money by just turning our heat off. Oh, it was it was fairly unpleasant, but I don't know how it's played out. >> So, 10 years ago, so they actually were just bought out by a different company. This is so >> I I don't >> Yeah. So, they they had a merger because they >> start training. Okay. >> Yeah. And they also remarked that their um their dollar savings is different depending on how old the equipment is. The fact
048that this is all new equipment is going to really affect what they can do. >> Okay. Very very different. >> Thank you. >> Is that the end of the hour planning sub? Yep. Very good. I would like a motion to enter into executive session not for return to open session uh to include school committee members Heidi and Julian that's all we needed today is that correct >> yes >> for the following reason a pursuant to purpose 3 MGL chapter 38 section 21 A3 to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with a minimum in fact with the association as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect as far position of the committee mind back to second roll uh roll call vote let's go in our normal order for roll call see each other just
049so yes >> Sarah Arlington yes Sharon yes Lancaster Yes, Sharon must have Lexington. Yes, >> Jeff muting. Yes, >> very good. Thank you all very much for attending. >> And we need to stop recording, but we are going to need that screen for a couple. See that?
