Moving on, we have no reports and no action items. So, right into future meetings and events. Miss Sigata Jones, what's coming up? >> Yes, President Martinez, members of the board,

if you look at the March meeting, you'll have classified employment renewals are coming um with some of our other um employee assistant programs will be coming for renewals um at this time. Okay. Any questions or comments or on the future meetings or events? All right, moving right into the summary of current events. Miss Sagata Jones, it's a busy week for everybody, I hear. >> Yes, Mr. Ortiz, members of the board, it is parent teacher conference week and um those that is occurring right now. So, we're excited um to be able I'm sure uh staff to be able to share with parents the um work that their students are doing. We also have we want to show you that we've been working with ROI which is um the realtor company and the property has been posted

as you can see you can see um the different locations that are there. Um we have it at sign IMS and then um we have it at 67th and um Alice is the vacant lot that we have there that is for sale and then the well let me tell you what the first one is. The first one is the lot across the street from Discovery. So that lot I'm sorry and then you move over to the next one and that um property there is 64th and Alice and then you have the one in the not up at the top is sign and then at the bottom is I'm so those uh popped up last week and then we have been working with ROI uh with potential clients hoping to look at longtermly some potential sale

of those properties. Um, with that, I just want to wish everybody a happy spring break. Um, appreciate everyone that's here this evening and um, take time off and enjoy it. It's going to be a little bit warmer weather, but enjoy your time and we appreciate what you do. With that, that concludes my report. >> All right. Thank you. All right. Moving on to our governing board report. Mr. Harmo and your plus one, sir. Please introduce yourselves. >> Say, my name is Gio. Okay. Um, I got nothing much. I feel like I just got to the beginning and the end of the board meeting at the same time. Um, I'm excited for spring break. I know I I work at a school, too, that's about to get shut down, actually. Um, so we're all excited for

spring break, but um, you know, just make sure you hold your loved ones tight and make sure they stay out of trouble. Huh. >> Thank you, sir. Uh, Miss Wilson. >> Yeah, just a big thank you and, uh, good job to the students and the music teachers that put on such great performances um, for the celebration of music in our schools. Uh, the Yeah, that was a lot of work that that went into that. And uh so we we saw some some great performances. Um all of them really actually. Um but I also wanted to thank the parents um for uh encouraging your children to be in the music programs. It's really really important um in our schools to keep that up and to let your kids um express themselves in a you know artistic

way. So it was wonderful. Um have fun on your spring break. get lots of rest and um well it's not even spring it's summer because we're kind of entering summer so >> thank you Miss Bartell's >> um I'm just going to piggyback a little bit uh it was truly amazing to see the talent that we have within our community and our kids um they may have the spark but it takes everybody else around them to really light the fire underneath them to give them the opportunities to showcase what they are capable of and we got to see it so it was wonderful Um, also just a reminder, there is a great article in the Glendel Star that um really kind of shares the the story of the the years's long fight that not only our

district, but several others were part of, but the win is a win for all students of the state of Arizona. Um, every student, every staff member, every community member deserves to have buildings that are wor, you know, able to be worked in and learned in. Um, so I'm very proud of our our district staying the course and everybody that supported what needed to happen and and it was definitely a moment in time that needed to happen. Enjoy your uh spring break also. Even though it's going to be a little warm. >> Thank you, Miss Pimementel. >> Well, if it's that warm, it's going to be easier to get into the pool or play in the hose. You won't get burned and you won't get frozen. Um, I would also like to talk about the musical

event. It was the first time I got to go and it was amazing. One of the first ones were an allgirl rock band and so it that was they were kind of slow to start but once they got into it they knew what they were doing and they were amazing. Every student there, every dancer, every singer, everyone who played an instrument was just so proud of all of them. We all sat there. >> Well, that first one composed it also. And so they see that's even more talented because I can't read a musical note and I can't I can't sing. Um I'm sorry I missed the basketball game, but I was getting playbyplay from uh Mrs. Bartell's. I I couldn't be there, but uh it was exciting getting all the the updates from her. So

that was great. Um but I do want to take a moment of personal privilege and I said I wasn't going to cry, so I'm going to work really hard at that. I want to thank who started out as Miss Garcia at Coyote Ridge and she's here today and she taught my kids oh my gosh 20 plus years ago and she is leaving GESD to do some bigger better things and I'm glad that she's going to have one of those other teachers that was there as well and I actually called my son to try to get him to come in and surprise her with a bouquet of flowers. And he says, "Mom, I'm sick. I don't want to get anybody else sick." So he asked me to tell you, "Thank you for instilling in him just

a great education, a great memory of I think it was fifth grade." And he says he does remember you. And and um I can't even think of your c your current last name right now because I said Garcia, but I remembered the last one. And he says, "Yeah." He says, "I remember all of us kids talking about it and everyone said, "Don't talk about it, but I wish you the best and I know that you'll be back here visiting us, especially for all the great things. And it's been just I want you to know that part of what you did with my kids had me run and has me sitting here today. So, I want to thank you and trust me when I tell you these kids all love you and um go do great

things over there and come back and visit and we're going to torture Brad. So, um we'll do it for you. Thank you. >> Thank you. Um, so I had a a class to attend earlier this week, so I had to miss the basketball championship game, but like uh Monica said, Brenda was texting us the entire game long, all through the girls game, all through the boys game, sent little videos, sent little pictures. So, we were all involved, right? We were all there. We just couldn't be there. >> So, so thank you, Brenda, for for taking care of that. Uh, the comeback in the girls game, >> Both games. Holy man, those that was amazing to to to like watch afterwards. So, uh, thank you, Brenda, and congratulations to both of our teams for their success.

Um, did a great job. Um, also I want to thank um, everyone for we had our our anth annual golfing with Gusto fundraiser last week that it went off really well. We saw a lot of staff there. We saw a lot of our vendor partners there. Uh, we were able to raise money for a good cause. So, thank you everyone who was uh, involved. Thank you to our board members here that were there uh at the front desk smiling and greeting people as they came in and then taking their money from them. So, uh I appreciate you all very much. I appreciate everybody. Um my kids are on spring break this week and I can't wait for it to be over because they are eating me out of house of home. Um I was looking

forward to an amazing batch of leftovers for lunch today and it was all gone because my kids were up at 2 a.m. and they were eating all my food. So, um, >> enjoy your spring break next week, everybody. Uh, you have deserved it. Take a time, take a deep breath, and have a great time. With that, is there a motion to adjurnn? >> Motion to adjurnn. >> Second. >> All those in favor? Bye-bye.
