Good evening everyone. This is the uh planning board meeting Tuesday, November 4th. >> Um first order of business is the uh minutes from the last meeting. um for the minutes of October 21. Um I would move approval. >> I'll second that. >> Okay. >> All in favor? >> I three in favor. >> And the minutes of October 7, I would move approval for those as well. >> Those are as amended. >> Oh yes. Thank you. >> Second. >> Okay. All in favor? >> I three in favor. None opposed. Okay. Next order of business. Uh 81 Ps. There are none. Um we have a ZVA referral at 10 Cormier Circle. Variance for sideyard setback. >> Yes sir. This applicant requested a variance to allow construction of an addition on the subject property. Specifically, the proposal is
to construct a 40x 24 ft addition to the west side of the house on the subject property due to topography of the property and the adjacent wetlands to the rear. The addition location has been proposed within an 8.8 ft setback of the west side of the house. Relieved from the 20 yard setback, 20 foot sideyard setback is a requirement in the RC zoning district. Hence this variance application. I recommend a favorable report before the ZJ. >> Any questions from the board? >> No. My only comment is that I I I mean obviously as an ADU we'd we'd have effectively no say, but coming [clears throat] before us and asking for um relief to 8 ft, which isn't even wouldn't even meet the zoning requirements for the next the higher density zone. Um I I think
to me is just there was no attempt to try to minimize the impact. It was it was I'm going to build what I want and wherever that comes out to, that's what I'm submitting. And and to me, that isn't that isn't the intent of a zoning um uh a request for uh uh variance and and having uh permanently on the um uh uh permanently on the lot forever. Uh, so I I I mean if we're an ADU, like I said, we don't have a choice. But if they're going to come for a variance, I I can't I can't do it in all in all good faith because I don't think there was any attempt to minimize the impact whatsoever. So I would make a recommendation for an unfavorable to the ZBA. >> Okay. >> Any
comments? Yeah, think about that for a moment. Think about this for a minute. Um, I'm I'm not familiar with corner circle and the where is it? The map isn't talking because I don't know anything really. I mean, I've heard of both obviously, but I just can't place them. >> I can't read the cross street. Is it uh >> Eban Cormier? Oh, it's a Oh, jeez. It's my subdivision. I should know it. [laughter] [clears throat] >> Yeah, it's it's all the way down. Um, if you follow Eban Street all the way down, it loops Evan Street loops around. >> Evans Purchase Street. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah. >> Miguel Lane is is off of it. You follow it and it's a big it's a big long dead end effectively. It it only loops along itself and
then the one street that goes through the subdivision is Commia Circle. >> [snorts] >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um so they're all um um those are what RC zones. >> Yeah. >> So um >> that second >> Yeah. I mean I I I just don't you know an oxy zone with an 8 foot 8 foot set >> side yard set back is just not um I I you know I understand the lot difficulties but I think there could have been an effort made to to at least meet the 10ft sideyard setbacks for an RB zone or something or other but you know to me it it's it's okay let's throw it in front of people and uh this is what I want so I'm going to make it as big as I poss you is what
I need as opposed to I'm I'm asking for a favor. Let me try to minimize it. And I just don't see that. >> So they got a pool on the other side, but it is a big lot. It's over an acre. >> Yeah. >> Just kind of narrow and deep. >> Yeah. >> So I'm not going to second Joe's motion. I don't know if Joe our chair is >> Okay. >> Joe's motion is hanging out there without a second. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Well, we we don't have a motion. We don't have a second. Um >> um the planning board votes effectively takes no action on this. >> I think we're looking at I think that's where we are. >> Okay. >> Yep. >> I'm kind of split on this. So, I'm not I'm not
going to make a favorable motion. May have even seconded Joe's, but >> it looks like the >> Well, at the end of the day, chances are we're not we wouldn't have sent them anything anyways anyway. >> Yeah. We're not going to get there. So that's fine. >> Okay. >> No action taken. Okay. [clears throat] >> So for number four, we've got the draft storm order uh review. >> Yeah, it's the numbers got a little [laughter] on the print thing. So I was out last week with uh with co unfortunately. >> Oh wow. >> So uh but uh I'm okay now. So but uh so this got posted before I got a chance to edit it. [clears throat] So, the Stormer bylaw, um, this draft was put together by Liz. She's unfortunately able to be here
tonight. Unable to be here tonight. So, um, I made some edits on it. I've sent them out to you guys, but we're going to have a more in-depth discussion of this at our next meeting. >> Okay, >> sounds good. Table that for the next meeting. And um with Liz not being here, I'm not sure if there's any uh engineer updates. >> The only thing I have is we uh we did update the applications for our last meeting. We put them on the website with the fillable forms. I don't think anyone's filled them out yet, but we are going to get a form a for the uh the Rod Gun Club, the road discontinuence. They're putting that together. We should have that on our agenda next meeting and I gave him the fillable form to fill
out. So [clears throat] other than that, that is all I have. >> Okay. >> Under the chairman uh updates. Um with Babe not being here, I don't have anything that >> move to. All in favor? >> I three in favor of adjourning. >> Thank you. Goodness gracious. >> See you at the next meeting.
