[Applause] Um, good evening families, friends, faculty, and most importantly, the graduating class of 2025. Today we gather not just to celebrate the end of high school, but to recognize the our overcome and accomplishments to get here. Four years ago, we walked into this school not knowing what to expect. Some of us were nervous, some excited, but none of us imagine how much these years would shape us. We've seen changes in ourselves, in the world around us, and even in our school. We've made it through awkward phases, endless homework, tough exams, spear weeks, and somehow we're still standing. But more than that, we've made memories that will last a lifetime.

006And while we each take those memories with us, we owe we also wanted to leave something behind, a symbol of who we are. That's why our senior gift to the school is brand new entrance signage. is more than just a sign. It's a statement, a mark that says the class of 2025 was here. We've walked these halls. We've grown in these classrooms. And now every student who enters the through those doors will be welcomed by something we left behind, a lasting legacy. To our teachers and staff, thank you for guiding us, challenging us, and sometimes putting up with us. To my fellow to my fellow graduates, thank you for being part of this unforgettable journey. And most importantly, thank you to my family for your love, your patience, and your belief in me. Through every

007high and every low, I truly wouldn't be standing here without you. The future is calling. Let's answer with courage, creativity, and confidence. Congratulations, class of 2025. Our story is just beginning. [Applause] At this time, I have the pleasure of presenting those students who have earned the highest academic honor to be received by a graduate. That honor is graduates with the highest distinction. These students have achieved academic excellence, which ranks them in the top 1% of their graduating class. Laura Arita, Glendale Union High School District governing board member will present these honored graduates with a medallion of distinction for their for their exceptional academic achievement. Students, as I call your name, please come forward. Jose Aldama [Applause] Joshua Catsman, [Applause] Caleb Lester Sturgeon, Mario Olivera, [Applause] Antonio Suero, [Applause] Charvin [Applause] Vu and Naomi Walsh. Ladies

008and gentlemen, I would like to present the top 1% of students for the graduating class of [Applause] 2025. Good afternoon everyone. I'd like to thank you all for taking time out of your day to show up today. enjoying the joys of life, the next steps in our journeys. And while I may only have a moment with all of you, isn't that how life goes? Living moment after moment. And some of these moments, we have been knocked down, tested. We all prevailed, pressed forward, and overcame our own challenges. Yet, we have not done any of it alone. We are the parents who gave us life. The parents who raised us how to be someone alongside the teachers who taught us how to speak and how to think. But despite this isn't sorry guys as you'll you'll

009get to earlier but and we had those friends who made life just that much better and those who showed you how cruel the world could be but despite everything isn't each moment just as important in our lives. Isn't each decision just as impactful? Every day we get up we ask ourselves what will we do today? Maybe you ask yourself what to wear, what to eat, what to get done for the day. Why for most of us do the question stop there? Why is it that collectively we are so scared to ask questions? Isn't it better for you to know? Because it is okay to be wrong. It is okay to not know. It is okay to be curious. We have and will all fail like I just did. But we're still here, aren't we? Today,

010we celebrate those who have answered countless questions correctly. But what can you proudly say you learned during the last four years? As one of my dearest friends once said, "In a society where we're often awarded for answering questions correctly instead of asking questions, it seems as though we fail to venture to new ideas and even attempt understanding. So, I'd like to remind you all today to ask more questions like how your loved ones are doing." And make sure to realize this moment in your life so when you look back on today, you could be grateful for what you did. Mamaos. I am Jose Chavez Odama. Thank you. Good afternoon, fellow graduates, family, friends, and school faculty. For those who don't recognize me by my luscious locks, I am Josh Katsman, one of the seven top

0111% graduates of our spectacular class of 2025. I'd like to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone because I couldn't possibly have made it to where I stand today without all of your help. Thank you to my mom and dad for your love and support and to my hardworking teachers for my enriching education. Thank you to my friends for all the good laughs and memories. Finally, thank you to my fellow peers for making it through these four years and preparing for the bright future together. Congratulations on closing this latest chapter of our lives. As we look forward to the future, I'd like to share with you all a quote I recall at times. God helps those who help themselves. This quote motivates me by reminding me that while support of others is important, success is

012ultimately achieved through one's own initiative. Finally, thank you to Mario for lending me this sash and thank you to [Applause] ChatGpt. Good evening, Thunderbird. My name is Caleb Sturgeon and I have so many people to thank. My God, my family, my teachers, my classmates. I thank you all for a great four years. We've learned a lot together. But one thing that I have witnessed over my years here at Thunderbird is that stress can steal joy in a way that nothing else can. We live in a bustling world with endless possibilities and choices. Life can feel hectic, out of control, and just overwhelming. But by simply getting to this point, you have already shown that you are able to take on the challenge of the wider world. So do not fear tomorrow because tomorrow can worry

013for itself. Focus on what you have accomplished, your passions, and especially those around you. Find peace knowing that you are living a life that is worth living, a life that is better without living in fear of what comes next, but instead looking forward to what you have yet to achieve. Thunderbird class of 2025, embrace the joy and live a real life. Thank you. [Applause] Good evening everyone, friends, families, faculty, and the class of 2025. I am Aria. Firstly, I want to congratulate my peers on their amazing journey up to today. It hasn't been the easiest road, but it wasn't anything to regret either. Looking back on these last four years, I can't remember a single person I am not glad I got the opportunity to meet. Every new classmate was another story, another bond, and

014another teammate to get us through our classes and through each year. I want to thank all of you guys for making high school more enjoyable. I want to thank my teachers for actually caring about student success. I know some students at other schools aren't fortunate enough to say the same, but I'm grateful for those who made my time at Thunderbird High School worth it. Lastly, I want to thank my mom and dad for seeing more in me than I was ever able to see in myself. Without them, simply put, I would not be up here talking to today talking in front of this many people. To the class of 2025, I am very proud of you all. I seriously can't wait to see what you have become capable of through our time here. I wish

015you guys the best of luck in your future endeavors. I know you will accomplish incredible [Applause] things. Good evening. My name is Antonio Suero and I am honored to be standing here in front of you all today. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to a few people. To my teachers who have taught me so much. To my coaches who have pushed me to work past my limits. And to my family and friends who have been always been by my side. I especially would like to thank my dad who has been my biggest supporter in everything I do. I love you, Dad. Earlier this year, I was sitting on my couch and scrolling on my phone when I saw this quote by Scott Sasser. It said, "Make it a great day or not. The

016choice is yours." And that got me thinking because it's 100% right. The choice is mine and it's all of yours, too. You chose to be here today. You chose to work through four years of high school. You know, every one of you could have dropped out when you were 16. But you didn't. Every choice you make has molded you into the person you are today. And every choice you make from here on out, no matter how small, will mold you into the person you will be, whether that be good or bad. So if nothing else, just remember my friends, whatever life throws at you, whatever challenges you may face, wherever you go, the choice is yours. Thank you. [Applause] Good evening. My name is Tarvin. I'd like to begin by thanking God for giving me

017this opportunity to stand before you today. To my parents, sister, and extended family, thank you for shaping the person I am today through your love and support. You've given me more than I could ever repay. To our teachers, coaches, staff, and administration, thank you for going beyond what's required to prepare us for what lies ahead. and to the class of 2025. Today marks a turning point as we enter a world of uncertainty. And while that may seem scary, there is beauty in the unknown. There's an old saying that the Greek gods envy the mortals. Not because we are perfect, but because our lives are filled with so much uncertainty. It's not knowing that gives our life's journey its purpose. The fact that you are uncertain when you start is what makes it worthwhile. The truth

018is not every dream will go to plan and that's okay because the real magic does not lie in the dream itself. It lies in who you become along the way. The person you've always dreamt of becoming is already taking shape in real time through every challenge and decision you make. And yes, even the bad ones. Uncertainty exists because your possibility is unlimited. It's not there to stop you. It's there to reveal just how far you can go. So, class of 2025, take the risk. Step into the unknown because that's where the best part of our lives are waiting. Thank you and congrats. [Applause] Hi, I'm Naomi and I'll be the first to admit that no part of me is original, that I'm the combined effort of everyone I've ever met. I think of the years

019I spent following in my older sister's footsteps. The many mannerisms and personality traits I picked up from my friends. The teachers whose passion and love for their subject have ignited my own, and my parents drive for knowledge and success that I've inherited and has allowed me to be here today. It's easy for me to acknowledge that I am a mosaic of the influence and inspiration of those around me. But as I move on to the next chapter, I must learn to be confident in my own decisions and to not be scared to step out of the shadow of those who made me who I am today. I've learned that it's okay to be scared by the many changes approaching in my life. Because I know that there is nothing worth doing that isn't scary. I

020know that behind that fear and uncertainty is the anticipation of discovering who I will be on my own, removed from the influences that I've relied on throughout my life. Each of you have the opportunity to define who you will be and the influence you will have on others. We cannot be afraid to leave an impression, to voice our opinion, stand up to injustice, and forge our own path. I encourage you to be loud and adventurous, be kind and empathetic, be honest, and be generous. Because while it's important to acknowledge the people who helped us get here today, it's up to us to determine our future. Thank you. [Applause] Congratulations to the graduating class of 20125. Today is the culmination of years of preparation, the realization of a job well done, and the anticipation of what

021lies ahead. Today, you can allow yourself a moment of satisfaction and take time to honor and thank the family and friends who have supported you along the way. Many of those people are here to celebrate celebrate this achievement with you. Your lives and careers will present challenges and opportunities. I trust that what you have learned from your teachers, coaches, peers, and of course your parents or guardians has helped to equip you with the skills and tools necessary to overcome those inevitable challenges in life. Looking back over this school year, there are numerous accolades for us to celebrate. Here are a few highlights. This year's student achievement above all recipient was Katherine Gear. In addition to receiving this recognition, Beaser was named the Lady Scholar Athlete, has a full load of AP and honors classes this

022semester, and is finishing with a weighted GPA of 4.9. This distinguishes her in the top 3% of her graduating class. Our achievement above all student group was the Navy JOTC. Our NJOTC is one of the most active groups on campus. They have amassed hundreds of hours of community service and have won countless accolades, awards, and competitions. They were most recently classified as a distinguished unit with honor, the highest distinction awarded by the US Navy. Our athletic teams enjoyed great success. The following sports made it to postseason play. Bad mitten, football, girls volleyball, cheer, boys and girls swim and dive, boys soccer, wrestling, baseball, boys and girls tennis, softball, track, and boys volleyball. individual individual athletes qualified for state competition in boys and girls golf, swim, bad mitten, girls tennis, wrestling, and track. Congratulations to all

023of our student athletes. Additionally, I want to congratulate the performing artists, the photographers, and visual arts students, as well as CTE students. Your talents are a huge part of what makes Thunderbird High School so successful. I also want to recognize Naomi Walsh and Mr. Catsman for being National Merit finalists. Ladies and gentlemen, the class of 2025 has conducted themselves with honor and integrity as they made Thunderbird proud. When I look out over this group of men and women, it is no wonder that Thunderbird High School continues to be an institution of excellence. Students, I would now like to take a moment to recognize those who have outstanding achievement on state testing. Seniors, if you earned a gold, silver, or bronze medal for your achievements in state testing, please stand up at this time. [Applause] Thank

024you. You may be seated. Their performance reflects their hard work as well as their teachers hard work in the classroom. Thank you very much to all of our students and teachers. Finally, I would like to report that the class of 25 has earned a four-year scholarship total of $10.8 8 million. Class of 2025, Thunderbird High School is proud of you. 037have had the great honor of being this year's student body president and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'd like to first thank every single person who's got us to where we are today. You've had our backs whether it's families, our teachers and your help to get us here is not unnoticed. Mom, Dad, Justin, I I wouldn't be the girl I am today standing on this stage without you. Love you lots. But for my graduating class, if you ever heard that the world doesn't revolve around you, well, tonight it does. You've navigated through each class, each test, and over the past four years have gone through challenges and growth that only you could understand. Everyone attending tonight is here to celebrate you, especially me. So, I share a quote that resonated with me. There

038are two most important days in p someone's life. the day you're born and the day you find out why. Tonight is just the beginning and your past does not define your future. And it wouldn't be my speech if I didn't say to choose kindness and be considerate. I believe in each and every one of you to achieve your greatest potential. And I want you to promise that most importantly, you'll believe in yourself. I love you all dearly, and I can't wait for the happiness and love in your future. So go find your why. Thank you. [Applause] During the recessional, we ask that all guests remain in their seats. At the conclusion of the recessional, guests should exit the facility using the doors located on the north end of the building. All graduates must be met
