Pledge of Allegiance. Join me. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all the law. All right. Fire department regulations, notice of proper exit. Sure, we have two exits located over here. If those are blocked, we can just go through that door out into the hall and follow the illuminated exit signs. Thank you. Approval of minutes, regular meeting minutes, November 3rd, 2025. >> Motion second. Any discussion? Seeing none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. Approval of warrants. They are going around. >> Extension on the limits. >> One of extension noted. >> Thank you. Approval of warrants. They're going around. Please do your best to sign those so we

can pay our bills and I'll entertain a motion as well. [clears throat] >> Got it. >> So move. >> Second. >> Motion and a second. Any discussion? Being none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. E. Budget review year-to- date expenditure report through November 2025. >> The chair uh attached is an expenditure report showing expenses and incumbrances to November 25th, 2025. If you or the school committee have any questions, we have Miss Scoffield here, our business manager, answer any questions. Thank you. Does anybody have any questions regarding unit expenditures? Okay. If you do, please feel free to reach out to Miss Scoffield. she'll be sure to get you an answer. Um, with that we're going to move on your correspondence oath of office. You'll notice we have a new

face at the table and that is Mary C. Barrell. Did I say that correct? >> Barl. Okay. Just as it shows from Spencer. Term expires May 12th, 2026. I want to take a moment to welcome you. Um, please feel free if you've got something to say, just, you know, make yourself known, wave your hand, slap the eye next to you, and you'll yell loud enough and I'll see you. >> And be very quiet today, but the paperwork they gave me at the town hall said I expire in 28. >> Okay. >> We'll get that verified for sure. >> I have a copy of it. >> Perfect. Thank you. >> 26 is okay. [laughter] Thank [clears throat] you. >> But it doesn't make sense to have Robin two spent >> in the public run. [laughter] >>

All right. Absolutely. We'll get that checked out. Again, it's filling a vacancy, so most likely it'll fill that term that had prior. So, okay. All right. Any other correspondents? student advisory coming in party. [laughter] >> David, welcome. >> Okay, >> it's your turn already. Okay. Wow. >> I told you. >> Great. Okay. So, uh good evening to all members and guests. Uh thank you for your attendance, both members of this committee and those of the public. Uh first off, Bay Path's Thanksgiving pep rally hosted on the 26th of November was honestly spectacular. Uh all four grades were and staff were quickly assembled in the gymnasium where students participated in a variety of engaging activities followed by the recognition of our successful athletes [clears throat] both for this sports season and the many before uh as

well as a performance by our wonderful cheerleaders. And I have to say really we have not had such a remarkable and energetic rally in a very long time. I was very glad to have been a special guest and a speaker throughout Wednesday's events. Uh and once again thank you to the efforts of the city council staff and other students who helped to plan and organize the event. Also congratulations to Bayath's varsity football team for their decisive victory over Asabet with a score of 41 to zero. I mean, wow, absolutely phenomenal job from the players, coaches, staff, and cheerleaders. Uh, they really are what keep path great. Uh, now, more recently, as I mentioned previously during the last meeting, I've created a form for all students uh to freely respond to last month regarding Bayath as

a whole. Students listed their likes, dislikes, and other comments. I created this form in order to help students [clears throat] in order to help give students a tool to bluntly voice their opinions. At my own fault, the form was completed much later in the month and was only fully sent to students on the 28th. Though I would have preferred that David Banker had finished it earlier, the form received around 133 responses within 3 days of it being posted. As a whole, results vary, but students are absolutely satisfied with and love the current shops, which includes the program as a whole, which is fundamental to the uniqueness of this school, especially the balancing of the shops and academics. The most prevalent and negative of issues that I read was that students address the current policy of

yonder pouches and their implementation, and just a general desire for something different. I noticed a few responses that called for a roll back to previous policies which utili which included the utilization of door or wall holders. Students also felt that the yonder policy served more as collective punishment rather than truly addressing the need to minimize classroom distractions. As the school week progresses, I hope to see more responses on the forum and I will be discussing them and interpreting them with Mr. Packard and Mr. Brener in due time. I'd also like to thank the administrators, staff, parents, and even some students who commented positively on my remarks from the last meeting regarding the current situation with teacher contracts. I did not believe that my opinion was revolutionary or outgoing in any way, but was more practical

and simply realistic. Those who have gone to know me already understand that I personally do not govern myself by rigid ideology, but by pragmatism and a constant re re-evaluation of my own opinions and beliefs. I believe that this thinking is absolutely necessary in the preservation of a healthy transparent relationship between students, staff, administration as well as the decisions that guide Bayath as a whole forward. At the end of the day, there should be no winners and losers in this situation. Thank you. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> All right, moving on. We have no old business tonight. We do have some new business. And the first item on the agenda tonight is a grievance hearing which will be us entering into executive session. So I will need a roll call vote and I will need

a motion for us to move into executive session for the purpose of MGL chapter 30A section 21A3 to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and to reconvene in open session following the executive session. >> So moved. >> I have a motion second. Thank you. I will do a roll call vote. So Katie, >> Yes means yes. >> Al Bean, >> yep. >> Jim Caldwell, >> yes. >> Richard Clark, >> hi. >> Kristen Cogman, >> yes. >> Don Gillette, >> yes. >> Dave Brier, >> yes. >> Mary Johnson, >> yes. >> Myself, yes. Don Montville, >> yes. >> And Marie, >> yes. >> Mike, >> yes. >> Mary, >> yes. >> Thank you. >>

Peters, >> yes. >> Tim Sher, >> yes. >> George Scobby, >> yes. Mike Peberry is absent. Bob Trembley is absent. Jeff Wel is absent. And Bob Zukowski. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, we are going to be in executive session. So, what we do have to do is clear the room. Um, for the members that will be here, we're going to go and get to in a few. We're just going to caucus ahead. You said you're going to be in your room. Okay. So if you give us a >> a motion and a second to table items 3 C >> 3 D >> 3 G >> and 3G. >> Any discussion? Any complaints? Getting out of here? No. All right. All those in favor? >> I opposed. All right. So soon as Kylie gets back, >>

please skip down. I'm going to take it out of order if someone is good with anyone is good with that and jump to E. Approval of Future Farmers of America Winter Leadership Conference. >> Make a motion we accept. >> Hold on. >> No, no, we're approving this time. We're approving. >> Hold on. >> How many files is this? >> Hold on. >> All right. Which one are we on? Uh EB >> E. >> So >> overnighter >> the superintendent, director, vocational director recommend the school committee vote to allow five students and one adviser to attend the FFA winter leadership conference to be held January 9th and 10th, 2025 for a cost of $500 to be paid out of account number 531 FFA. >> Let's say where it is >> this year. It is going to

be at the Prindle Conference Center in Charlton, Mass on Friday, January 9th and Saturday, January 10th. >> So move second. overnight. >> So moved and second. >> I have a motion and a second. Any discussion? Being none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? >> Okay. F. Approval of outside project Dudley youth soccer shed. Please hold. [laughter] >> Leah, thank you for these tapped. Thank you. >> So, Mr. Trip Pvvic is vocational director requesting Wu Soccer for our building and property maintenance students to make repairs to their shed located at 50 Loy Field. work includes siding, insulation, sheathing. Mr. Dominique has visited the site and this will be an appropriate and beneficial product for our students. Wu Soccer has confirmed they will cover costs associated with the repairs. The superintendent director and vocational

director recommends that the school committees vote to approve the outside project for Dudley youth soccer as submitted. So motion and seconds. All those in favor. >> What department is this? should who's doing it? The build building property maint. >> Yep. >> Any other questions? >> Being none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? I >> oppose. >> Motion carries. All right. So, I have a I need to walk on a motion to accept the calendar revision for graduation date. So, I need a >> motion. Have a motion. >> A motion and a second to walk this on. Any discussion? Being none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. So that will be B3i, approval for calendar revision. >> It's your recommendations. >> Oh, recommendations. >> Right at

the beginning. >> Oh, >> hold on. That's official year. I don't have that for the graduation, right? Please hold. >> I didn't do anything. >> He just took too long. [laughter] >> Yep. So Jim Owen, so through the chair, Jim Owen, director of the sales from DCU, called Principal Packard requesting that we move our graduation ceremony back to the original date of May 31st, 2025. That's a Sunday. >> Yeah. >> 2026. >> Yep. That's a Sunday. >> Sunday. It's a Sunday. So May 26, 2025. This request stems from the Democratic National Convention's need for the facility during the schedule time in recognition of the inconvenience the party organizers working in coordination with the governor's office have offered to cover the full cost of our event which will be a savings of $8,000 to offset the

upcoming expenses. The superintendent, director, and the principal recommend the school committee vote to move the graduation ceremony for 2025 2026 back to its original date of Sunday, May 22nd. >> Any uh second motion, a second. Any discussion? >> Being none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. I got to do a walk-on. So >> DPJ I need to entertain a motion to accept a walk-on item for a prior year payment. >> So move second. >> The motion is second. Any discussion? No. All those in favor? >> Opposed? Motion carries. So that would be an approval for a prior year payment to bond in the amount of $1,2460. So through the chair, the superintendent, director, and the business manager recommend including the priority year to bond in the amount of

$1,2461. >> So move. >> Second. >> Motion, a second. Any discussion? >> Quick question. Um, this is the second month in a row I think we've had um to go back to approve a um request from the prior fiscal year. Is there something happening here? Cuz this what was this one for? >> This one and uh the business manager is gone. But this one we were assured that it was all taken care of. Um and it wasn't taken care of. So in speaking with the department lead uh we were assured that it was all done and it wasn't through further investigation. So just >> any other questions? Seeing none, I'll call for the vote. All those in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. [clears throat] C information proposals report from the superintendent directly. Thank you the report.

[laughter] So I submitted a written report. Uh if anybody has any questions on that, I'd be happy to answer those questions. >> Thank you. Subcommittee reports, audit subcommittee, nothing. Budget subcommittee, we haven't met yet, but we're almost to that point. Building and ground subcommittee has not met yet. Negotiation subcommittee, Dave, >> uh we met earlier this evening uh with PAR professionals. Uh we have a another meeting tomorrow, negotiations tomorrow. Uh if it's inclement weather and no school, we'll do a zoom. So we guarantee go either way. And then uh we're going to make more dates going forward. We also received a letter from the BPTA uh to get together make some dates for negotiations. The BPA >> Yeah. >> Thank [clears throat] you. All right. policy subcommittee, Pete. >> Uh, nothing. >> Thank you. Warrant
