001Let's [music] celebrate our legacy during Black History Month. Black History Month is often described as a celebration. But for me, it's a reminder. A reminder of the legacy of black excellence [music] that has been built, protected, and advanced in systems that were never designed for our success. [music] It is a moment to honor the past while recognizing [music] that excellence is not just something we inherit. It is something we continue to build. My parents [music] believed education was the pathway to opportunity. Their sacrifices shaped my [music] journey and my purpose. From civil rights law to national leadership and education, my work has always [music] always focused on equity and access. Black History Month reminds us that [music] Black Excellence demands action. It calls us to lead, to advocate, and to ensure every [music] student is prepared for their future. [music]
