001Good evening and welcome to the October 7, 2025 Prince George's County Board of Education virtual special uh virtual special session. The purpose of this meeting is to review the board appeals in keeping with the board board's rules of procedure section 4 internet meetings. The internet standing rules are as follows. Members shall keep their video on and [snorts] remain on camera at all times. Keep their microphones on mute until recognized by the chair. Raise their hand icon and wait to be recognized by the chair. Unmute the microphone to speak. Mute it when they're done speaking. Members may only speak twice on any motion for two minutes each time. Failure to adhere to the internet standing rules will result in the member being removed until the member can rejoin when the rules can be adhered to. And
002also with the caveat of if you have, you know, uh an emergency or if you need to step away, you know, for any reason or you just can't be on camera, just send me a note. Send me a note and then while you going through the transition, uh go off camera and come back on camera. we have um discussed that and that was something we agreed upon as a whole. Um so I just want to let you know that before we continue, the chairman reminds everyone to adjust their wireless communication devices to prevent technical interference with the meeting uh recording. Board appeals because discussions about employees identities can and ongoing anticipated legal disputes in the public setting could result in financial losses, damage to reputation or legal consequences.
