in the future um as we have to go ahead and increase um the cost for curriculum and there's a limited finite resources on that with our daa so I just share that as a cautionary tale sure and that's um that's some of the intentionality it's a great Segway from Dr M and that's the intentionality that you can see as we've put together this adoption schedule um you can see on the top line there that those are our heaviest core adoptions um so we've intentionally developed an eight year cycle that has some smaller ancillary pieces in between so that we're not hitting major adoptions financially every year nor for implementation on the teacher lens as well so um that's why we've set it up the way we have we will have a little bit of a

bridge year with the K5 Ela um the K5 Ela adoption that we have now is going out of print if you will um and so some of those digital components will have to work through in this next year we've got a great relationship with the vendor so they're helping support that we'll still have the print materials but some of those digital pieces um are going away and that'll be a factor for us um as we move forward on the Prof any questions on that sorry I didn't mean to all right on the professional learning front I'm really excited to share with you that um we are offering an aspiring administrators Academy this year uh this is something we've been wanting to do the last couple years and glad to get it off the ground um

so our theme is empowering tomorrow's leaders building Vision excellence and Community uh the goal is of course to empower aspiring administrators by enhancing their leadership capabilities so this was put out to the entire District um as an offering regardless of what position they might currently serve in um we have four Dynamic sessions set up each focusing on a key aspect of our school leadership um so there'll be some interactive activities some case studies some expert guidance um and our session dates you can see are up there September 24 December 3rd February 4th and April 15th so if anybody wants to come by they're after hours um and love to have you be a part of that our session topics session one is crafting and communicating a shared Vision so we're going to work with them

on how they establish that shared vision and bring that into the process of a leader for them um the second one is on is an enhancing teaching and learning uh the third session is on efficient School management and operations and then the fourth session in April is on building strong Community Partnerships as of September 4th we have folks signed up for that anywhere from classroom teachers Department chairs school counselors instructional coaches so we have a nice a wide array of folks who are interested in developing their leadership skills further and of course our hope is that we develop them to serve in our district and help bring strong leadership to our district any questions I got the easy one then all right okay that brings us 9.2 discussion information on student enrollment numbers uh it's

again agenda item that we'll bring each month uh I shared the report with you for the last month uh last week so I don't know if there's any specific questions concerns uh based on the reports or anything you want us to do differently so I just bring it for that conversation I don't have any questions was good to see positive movement okay 9.3 team governance handbook uh this is just the governor's team handbook it will be updated uh for approval for next uh month what'll be updated is in the back end you'll update I'll update to reflect the strategic planning uh the strategic planning document that you guys approved uh that will be approved and so uh that will be the update brought to you guys next month for approval okay 9.4 discussion information on

the annual financial report let's try this Mr President members of the board colleagues um on June 27th we brought to the governing board the outlines of all the budget reports and the financial reporting our annual financial report as indicated in that meeting must be filed and adopted by the board no later than October 15th this discussion item is merely to remind you that the forms were released by the Arizona auditor general and I will be bringing the annual financial report package to to you at the October 9th meeting the agenda item does include the notification from the Arizona auditor general that lists the changes to the package in summary they've added columns they've added fields and are really just asking for additional clarification on some of the funding source in expenditure items all of this

data will import directly from school Erp Pro which is our accounting system we review the AFR on a regular basis I will definitely make sure that I review these specific fields to make sure that our data did import correctly but really there is no change from the annual AFR that you're that you receive each year are there any questions or did you have any questions about what they changed okay I'll bring that to you next month okay 9.5 discussion information about the 20242 prop uh proposition 301 performance base pay plan think his microphone's on your microphone isn't on is it go there you go as I was saying um uh Arizona schools are required to go before their staffs each year uh with the 301 plan and our committee uh actually just met yesterday with

anticipation of bringing um our proposed plan to you in October between now and then uh each school will be voting on the proposed plan and uh based on that vote um and those results of plan is very similar to last year there's one minor difference that I can talk about in just a second um but we anticipate that passing at each school and then bringing that for your approval in October the one minor change that was made from 2324 to 2425 was on the schoolwide student achievement which is um 12% of that uh of that component uh for performance pay and um at a smaller school where the the N or the number of students is a little bit smaller that might not factor into getting a school grade assigned from the state uh we're

looking at the the assessment tests and um for all schools if they show Improvement in two of the three areas then that would qualify for that that 12% but for a smaller school again because you have a little bit more turnover and again the the N is a little bit smaller uh what our committee talked about was if there's Improvement in one of those three they would be eligible for those 12 points so that's uh that is our plan that we anticipate again our schools passing and we would bring that back to you in October okay thank you all right 9.6 discussion information on the 2024 202 superintendent performance goals I'll just bring that forward to you guys next month we'll go into the executive session for it just for your own awareness if you

want me to do something different I'm planning on utilizing the same format that I did last year which was there was three goal areas the first one represented three of the strategic planning goals the second one focused just on assessment and the third one was more of a catch off for different things that were happening so I'll bring that to you and we'll go into exec session uh in October I just wanted to bring it to your attention if you want something different than that just let me know otherwise I'll follow the format from last year okay I think the only thing that um I think that the Strategic plan that I asked for Baseline data okay so that will be in there too yeah we shared the the well I can put the Baseline

in depending on the question yeah that's fine I'll go and put it in yeah okay that brings us to Tim one any requests for future agenda items I don't think I have any future agenda items no okay all right just uh you know Dr Ryman I think it would be a good idea just to send a reminder to all staff you know during this election time to re you know make sure that all teachers remain neutral and not bring that type of stuff up in the classroom I mean if that makes sense you know making sure that there's no questions about um any of that I think that would be a great thing for you to send out to you know teachers and just you know remind them of the importance of that so that

we don't have any you know yeah I hate for our our staff to get theirselves in some hot water yeah I mean we I think it's a great we want to encourage everybody to vote and vote their conscience of course but you can do that by you know without sharing your own thoughts and feelings about things that might get you in trouble in the classroom so just I think it'd be great to send out a a reminder of that any other thoughts on that okay okay I remember my par my students would always ask me and I said well it's a secret ballot for a reason that was always my answer and and I stayed safe okay any other items okay I'll take a motion for an adjournment I'll make a motion to adjourn at

23 I second all right I have a first and a second all in favor I I that's
