Madison Virtual Academy - Principal's Welcome

001Hello! I'm Maggie Rodriguez principal of Madison Virtual Academy and Madison Park Middle School. I'd like to welcome you to Madison's Virtual Academy, Madison's Signature Virtual School. I've been a principal at Madison Park for the last three years and I'm entering into my 18th year in education. I'm very excited to be a part of this new and innovative virtual school. Something I never could have imagined would exist 18 years ago when I first entered into this great profession of education. At Madison Virtual Academy, your child will have access to high-quality curriculum and instruction, in a flexible format that will fit your family's unique needs and schedules. Many of our courses are self-paced and/or self scheduled with instructor support. Your child will have live access to teachers daily. Schoology will be our digital schooling platform where grades, lessons, learning materials and live teachers can all be accessed. We will be using the District adopted curriculum for science and English language arts courses. The Art of Problem Solving Alex and Redbird will be used for our math courses. Your child will also have the option to attend Encore Classes such as music, dance, PE or art in-person or virtually. Again, welcome to the Madison Virtually Academy.
