001Hello, I'm Quinn Kellis, Superintendent of the Madison School District, and this is a Madison Minute. Welcome back to school! This year we have some new things coming into the schools with the adoption of the curriculum of Language Arts and Math. Also, just a quick reminder: school starts on Monday, August 8. Be sure to look for the Madison Scene which is the newsletter that goes out to every home. Make sure that you check on the dress codes, on materials and any other things that will help to have a good experience on the first day at school. We have some new things coming into our schools with computers. Every school has received and allocation of laptops, but that's quite enough, so students can bring their own devices if they wish. And there's plenty of volunteering opportunities. If you would like to volunteer for your school, please check with your principal to find out how you can submit your application. And that's been a Madison Minute! Have a great first day of school!
