I have Catherine on. [Music] >> Okay. Now I got to say the same things. We're good. Good evening everybody. Thank you for coming. I'd like to call the meeting to order and get a roll call, please. >> Mr. Holt >> here. >> Miss Mcronis. >> Mr. Alexander >> here. >> Mr. Carlson >> here. >> Miss Raymond >> here. >> Can I get a motion to adopt the agenda as presented? I move to adopt the agenda as presented. >> Is there a second? >> Second. >> All those in favor? I >> I Please stand for the pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence. >> One moment. Mccronis, can I get an eye from you on that? >> I can hear you. >> I'll speak up. Is that better? >> Speak a little louder. So, you

were just um agreeing to the adopting the agenda, correct? >> Yes. >> Okay. Pledge. A pledge of allegiance. To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. [Laughter] Next up is item D, recognitions and presentations. D1, Dr. >> Strereer. [Music] This evening, we are proud to recognize Miss Beth Shimky as a recipient of the 40 under 40 award presented by the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Beth, please join me up front. [Applause] >> So, Beth joins the group of community leaders in Southern Arizona to be recognized at the 40 under 40 awards breakfast later this month. Beth uh has become the principal of MCAT High School this past July and is being honored as part

of an inspiring group of young professionals recognized for their leadership, their service, and their deep commitment to community advancement. The 40 under 40 award celebrates individuals who go beyond personal achievement to make meaningful contributions to southern Arizona. It honors those who demonstrate innovation, generosity, and dedication to the progress and well-being of their communities. Being named to this distinguished group is an affirmation of Beth's impact in Southern Arizona, and we are proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition of her leadership and her service. Congratulations, Beth. [Applause] >> And the certificate and have you come over for a photo? >> Absolutely. We're gonna put you right in the probably in the middle, do you think? Next item is item E, board communication. Anyone? >> Yes. Um, a few weeks ago we had a very exciting week. Uh I

was really honored to attend the uh welcome for the new teachers, over 100 new teachers in our district and that was just an exciting thing to see some new people, some old people that have come back to our district. That was exciting. And then to be at the ribbon cutting for Morirana Vista and for uh Tangerine Farms. Those are both exciting events and filled to the brim with our uh our community. Katherine, do you have anything? >> No. I just want to echo what Mr. Mr. Raymond said as well as welcome to the beginning of school year 2025 2026. Uh, next item is item F, remarks from the public. We have one tonight, Mr. Human. Good evening, pres president President Holtz, members of the governing board, Dr. Strereer, senior staff, and community members. My name

is Jason Evilman, and I'm the advocacy chair for the Morirana Education Association. On behalf of the MEA, I want to warmly welcome everyone back to a brand new school year. We want to recognize our educators and uh for the countless hours invested in preparing classrooms, developing lessons, and ensuring our schools are safe and a welcoming place for students to learn and grow. This dedication exemplifies the heart of our district and the commitment to excellence that drives our community forward. As we look forward a look ahead, we look forward to collaborating with the district and school leaders to foster an environment where both students and staff can thrive. Thank you for your continued support. Thank you, Jason. Next up is item G, superintendent comments, Dr. Strereer, >> President Holt, governing board members, members of the audience.

It's been a while since our last meeting and while there have been several events over the past month from welcoming our new administrators and teachers to the district to our all district uh welcome back event to our annual resource fair and as was mentioned earlier two ribbon cutings as we open both Tangerine Farms and Morirana Vista. I just wanted to take this time to simply welcome everybody to the 2025 2026 school year. We're off to a great start to the school year. Uh just over 13,000 students walked through our doors uh just a little over a week ago. Uh and as I mentioned, I want to take the opportunity to welcome our students and families to the new school year. We are all looking forward to working with you through the upcoming months as we

look to build on our past successes and make this year our best ever. To our staff, I want to thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to our students, and I look forward to working together with you to continue doing great things for our kids. Thank you. >> Next up is item H, the consent agenda. Is there a motion? >> I move that the governing board approve the consent agenda as presented. >> Second. >> Any questions? All those in favor? >> I. Next item is item I, unfinished business. There is none. So we'll move to item J, news business. Item J1 is discussion approval of performancebased pay plan. Miss Lelada. >> Good evening, President Hull, governing board members. I'm here tonight to ask you to approve our proposed performance-based pay plan for the

0082526 school year. There were minor changes to the plan, including the date and uh we removed a clause from component three related to schools participating in project momentum because that was a one-year hold harmless clause that we had in last year's plan. So statute requires that at least 70% of teachers vote. When the memo was written, we were at 71.3% voting yes and less than a percent voting no. That has increased because they're still voting and it's up to 78% in favor. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. >> Before you do, is it possible to get that mic turned up a little bit more just by chance? Thank you. J1. >> Sorry, I got to get to it. test. >> Oh yeah, better. Yeah, great. >> Perfect. >> And then is there

a motion? >> And there. Yes. Soon. >> I move the governing board to approve the 2526 performance-based pay plan as presented. >> Perfect. Any questions? I have some questions. >> Okay. >> Um, how many teachers do we have? >> 838 on the teacher evaluation system. >> Okay. And last year, how many teachers received 90% or more of the performancebased payout? >> 86% received the full amount. Uh, several did not receive the full amount because it's prrated when a teacher goes to leave without pay. And there was only one teacher who did not get the full amount because they did not meet the professional growth requirement. >> You think that 86% is a little too high, too high of a percentage? I mean, if you look at skill sets of everybody just in general, you know,

in the workplace, guarantee you that 86% of your workforce is not at the upper end of the performance band. [Music] I think one component of the professional or the performance-based pay plan is the growth period, the growth component and that's where we want to continue to grow our teachers. The second component is based on their uh school letter. Let me get it. The second component is related to student achievement and at the um so our school level data and then the third component is our school letter grade. So while not every school is an A, uh A and B schools do receive that full 10% of the the performance-based pay and then schools that get a C or a D have to have improved their overall points. In addition, we also hold any new teacher

uh harmless for one year because they are not a part of the scores that were created from the previous year. So this is the same question I've asked for 15 years now and nobody has ever been able to provide a satisfactory answer. If 86 if 86% of our teachers are getting the full maximum payout, why don't we have all a schools? >> I think that's what we're working towards for sure. So then at what point are we going to have a schools be the be the the benchmark or the standard instead of just giving the money because it's a nice thing to do. >> Um I would disagree with that because it's not a >> I'm not asking you. >> I know >> I'm asking the administration this question. >> I'm making a comment. No,

>> I'm making a comment. >> I'm asking a question right now. When when my time is done, then you can rebut everything I'm saying based on your experience as a teacher. But you're not part of the district anymore in that regard. And so I'm asking the administration this question. >> Okay. >> Because they're the ones who have to answer it. >> Yeah. >> I can take it back to our performance pace berformancebased pay group to um for input. I mean, don't get me wrong. I mean, people who are hearing this or who are going to watch this are thinking, "Oh, boy, Tom, here he goes again." No, it's these are taxpayer dollars. And if if we're giving 86 86% of our staff the full payout and you look at the at the math scores that

that came out a few months ago and how atrocious they are, you know, it really makes you scratch your head and you go, "What's going on here?" So that's So I'd like a followup. >> Okay. because it appears that the that the performance-based pay program the criteria are not aligned with performance with student performance. That's that's that's that's the takeaway from this. >> Understood. >> Thanks. >> You're welcome, >> Kathy. Go ahead. Um, I just like to make the comment that I don't think you can tie it to the school letter grade all the way because if that was the case, we would have teachers wanting to transfer to the A schools and that would hurt the growth that we're we're seeing in some of our schools. So the performance-based pay even though it's based

on a schoolwide thing also is looking at the efforts of every teacher uh because it's not just these things they do have to attend meetings and talk about the growth and really work on those things uh to get it. >> I get that and for 15 years I have always given the stipulation that school letter grades are not the right the right measure. student performance is the right measure. And like I said, when you look at at the at the um math scores that came out a few months ago, they are downright embarrassing for this school district. And when 86% of our teachers are getting full full performance pay and you have that kind of performance, there's a disconnect. >> Roy, do you have anything before I comment? Um I have I have two questions

actually. So one in this it says that they have to grow on their sheet that they get graded by AD. Correct. That's how they get their performance pay their requirements. >> So there are three components. The first is professional growth and that's where they have to have the 40 hours. Yep. >> So Oh you mean in the letter grade score growth? Yes. So they have to have an A or B >> for the last 10% of PBP. They have to have an A or B as a school. If they have a C or a D, they have to have improved their overall points. >> Okay. And which they have. Correct. >> I believe so. >> Yeah. Okay. >> We have preliminary points, but they're not final. >> And remind me, two years ago, we changed

the performance pay whole thing. Correct. >> I think it was three years ago. Okay. >> Because Dr. Dumbler was still here. >> Yeah. I think Yeah, I think that every board member during that time was a part of that. So, okay. Um, >> this is true. However, >> I I wasn't asking you actually. >> No, but Kathy can make >> I was not talking to you, Tom. Tom, I was not talking to you. I was asking Mr. Lot a question. >> Um, so after that, it's been three years since we have approved this. Correct. >> Yes. There have just been very minor changes in the last >> Can we do this every year? >> We every year we have to bring it to the teachers for approval for their 70% vote and then again to

your for to you for approval. >> Perfect. Katherine, did you have anything? No. >> Okay. >> I'll say that three years ago when we changed it. Yes. I was a big part of that. However, no, you can't do this. I actually can. >> No, you can't. >> I can. >> Thank you. >> And >> is there a second on call to question? >> When we made it, >> I'll second call question. Thank you. Couple years ago. We're going to be voting now. All those in favor of call to question, please vote. I I >> I. >> Okay. Is there the motion's on the floor to approve this? Is all those in favor? I >> I >> thank you. 5-0. Next. Thank you, Miss Lada. Next item is J2 discussion and approval of affiliation agreement of

hem of affiliation agreement with Morland University. Miss Lada. >> Yes. Tonight I bring before you an agreement with Morland University. Morland University is an accredited postback bachelor's program that is approved through AD for those candidates who already have earned a bachelor's degree to earn teacher certification in the state of Arizona. So this request would allow the field placement of practicum student teachers from Morland University in our district. The agreement and addendum have been approved by legal counsel. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. >> Is there a motion? I move that the governing board approve the affiliation agreement and addendum to the affiliation affiliation agreement between Morland University and Morirana Unified School District. >> Is there a second? Perfect. Any questions? >> So I have some questions on this one. Um I'd never heard

of Morland University before. So when did a little bit of research um it's it students who have graduated from there are not impressed with the program. You can go to Reddit and read read comments and yeah, I get Reddit is what it is. But um the the the general theme is that that this is um going through this program, it's a quote here, just became a chore that was needed for completing a license. So it appears that that students aren't really learning anything, you know, how to be teachers. So I guess my question is um do we need to affiliate ourselves with Morland University? Um we ran as a respectable district. I don't know that Morland's a respectable university. Um I mean it's an online university. Um you can think what you want about online

schools. Um my experience is that online schools are, you know, substandard and um and so I I wonder if we are are we negatively impacting the Morirana brand by associating ourselves with a school that is, you know, that appears to be kind of sketchy. I have not had an experience with Morland University other than them reaching out asking for placement of a candidate. Uh I do I did make sure that they were approved through AD for this postback program and alternation during that process. Uh I do believe if we ever had a negative experience with any student in any placement that we could reach out to the university and ask to end it. We have done that with another um big school in Arizona once. Um so if it it's not a good placement, we

do end that placement. >> But that's based on an individual person. >> Right. Based on that experience we had. >> Right. Right. And I get that part of it. But you know, like I said, MUSD has a good reputation. So, shouldn't we be aligning ourselves with schools that also have good reputations so that so that we so that we don't get tarnished? >> We definitely want the best candidates. Um, >> I'm not talking about candidates. >> Yes, I have. >> Because because out of any out of the University of Phoenix, I'm sure you get some pretty good graduates. I um I can only tell you that Morland is accredited and that they have I know that they've gone through AD's approval process. So I hope that their students are getting what they need to be

successful in the classroom and if we have the opportunity to host one and we find that that's not the case, I could be bringing this back to you all. >> All right. Thank you. >> Anyone else? And you said they're approved by AD. >> Yes, they're on AD >> for 2025. >> Yes, the AD's list that's on the website. As of today, they are approved. >> Perfect. Thank you. Any other questions? No, Catherine. >> I can barely hear you. >> Do you have any questions about the Morland University agreement? >> No. >> I only have one statement. If I know somebody that attended Morland online and I fully support this. >> Perfect. All those in favor? >> I >> Anyone against? >> I >> 41. Motion carries. Next item is item JT J3, excuse me.

Discussion approval of additional staffing. Miss Lin Salada. >> Okay. Thank you. With an increase in enrollment, we are requesting the following new staffing. At Degrazia Elementary School, a first, second, and third grade teacher at Rattlesnake Ridge, a kindergarten, and third grade teacher. Tangerine Farms kindergarten third grade behavior cluster teacher, a 0.25 full-time equivalent PE teacher, and a half-time equivalent teachers assistant. And at Twin Peaks, a first grade teacher. These are all being funded out of M. And in addition with the award of the 21st Century Learning Grant at Ironwood Elementary School, we are requesting the approval of a grant site coordinator at a 6 full-time equivalency. This position would be paid in in its entirety out of the 21st century grant. >> Is there a motion? >> I move that the governing board approve the

following additional staffing. First, second, and third grade teachers at Degrazia Elementary School. Kindergarten and third grade teachers at Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School. Kindergarten, third grade behavioral cluster teacher a 0.25 full-time equivalent. physical education teacher, a 0.5 full-time equivalent teacher, teachers assistant at Tangerine Farms K8 School, first grade teacher at Twin Peaks K8 School, and a 6 full-time equivalent grant site coordinator effective immediately. >> Second. >> Any questions? All those in favor? >> I. >> Next item. Thank you. >> Next item is J4, staffing for transportation. Mr. Golagosski. >> Good evening, Governor. Um, President Holt, members of the governing board, Dr. Strereer, senior staff, and all in our community. Uh, due to the significant increase in the number of special needs students requiring transportation and the opening of two new schools. We are requesting the addition

of three special needs bus drivers and four special needs bus attendants. These costs will be covered by the ML budget. motion. >> I move that the governing board approve the addition of three special needs bus drivers and four bus attendants effective immediately. >> Second. >> Any questions? All those in favor? >> I. >> Next item is item J5. Discussion approve additional staffing for Marina High. Mr. Goloski. >> Yes. Due to the significant increase in the number of participants in our girls flag football program at Morirana High School, we are expecting over 40 participants, we are uh requesting the addition of a coach who will support approximately 20 girls who participate on JV program. U the cost for the salary will um related to benefits will be covered by tax credit um funds for this year.

>> Is there a motion? I move that the governing board approve the addition of a girls flag football coach at Morirana High School effective immediately. >> Second. >> Any questions? >> Just one question. Does the does the cost of 2928 are you saying that's additional to what's covered by the tax credits or are you saying that amount is covered by the tax credits? >> It'll be covered by the tax credit. So, uh with the increase in participation, we'll be able to collect more tax credit and then that would pay for that additional. >> Got it. Is that just remind me because I know tax credits kind of just a lump sum. Is that from students only at Marina High donating tax credit? It's not from the overall That's right. Perfect. >> And typically there's two

options. They can either get contributions directly through a tax credit allocation or through pay to participate fees. >> Perfect. >> So any other questions? >> Nope. All those in favor? I >> I >> next item is J J6 discussion approval intermental agreement with Puma County Puma County Community College District Reading. >> Good evening, President Holt, members of the board, Dr. Strereer, and members of our in-person and virtual audience. At the end of last semester, I had the opportunity to sit down with our high school principles as well as members of Puma Community Colleg's leadership team, and we explored and brainstormed different ways to increase uh student and parent engagement, specifically wanting to make sure that our students and our families were aware of post-secary learning opportunities at Puma Community College. And one of the strategies

that we talked about was a um a proactive push of information to those parents and students that wanted to continue to stay a breast of the opportunities available at Puma Community College. And so the agreement that you see before you is an agreement that would enable us to share directory information. So names, addresses, and emails of both parents and students only to those families who have provided written affirmative consent that they would like to have them so that um Puma Community College can then push information to our students and parents that would like to stay connected to would like to keep a breast of that information. This would all of the this agreement is in is is in is in furba compliance as well as the recent statute that was passed regarding directory information. >>

Is there a motion? >> I move that the governing board approve the intergovernmental agreement with Pumac County Community College District. >> Second. >> Any questions? >> I have some questions. So um with what other colleges or universities do we share this kind of data? >> This is the first agreement of this nature where we have where we're going to ask parents if it's okay if we send it to students and parents. We don't have any other ones. >> So the way you described it is very different than how it's written here in the board packet. >> In what way? >> Well, the entire background. So this just the way this reads sounds like um sounds like we are joining the marketing efforts of Puma Community College whereas the way you described it um parents have

to opt in >> and that's not that's not um clear here. just says that you want to um share directory information um for the limited purpose of outreach and engagement related to post-secary education. >> So down in the third and fourth paragraph, it does indicate that affirmative parental consent will be obtained prior to disclosure of any information. And then in the fourth paragraph, the intent was to not overwhelm students with marketing, but to provide helpful, relevant communication through the tools that they regularly use like for email and text. A challenge that they have had with Puma Community College in the past providing information is that it was done with handouts or flyers or um information sessions that were optional and that students could come to and so the information from Puma wasn't getting into the

hands of students and parents. So this would when they actually surveyed students and parents informally uh email and text was the primary form of communication that they utilized. And so this agreement provides Puma with our with that information. So that way uh they can have direct outreach and not have to go through communication channels. And again this would this is only with a affirmative parental consent that's both in the agreement and in the board uh memo description. We only want to push we only want to push information to parents that say yes. >> Actually, it's not. >> Yes, it's on the >> says the agreement includes an explicit opt out provision. Doesn't say opt in. It says opt out. So So what that means is that if I don't want to get this stuff, then

I have to tell you or I have to tell the school that that I don't want it as opposed to the way you described it is, you know, hey, I want to get this. So, so sign me up. >> If you look at number three, >> I just Yeah. >> Subject to parental eligible student consent, MUSD may share the following directory information. So, it's part of the it's in the IGA on the second page of the >> Okay. So, then we have a disagreement between the writeup and what's in the agreement. So, I'm still expressing my confusion. >> What do you mean the >> about this? >> You mean the actual transmitter? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's right there at the end of it's the last sentence of the uh second paragraph. So, um >>

on both the So, I see where you would have confus I see where there is confusion because the the intent of that statement was to indicate that parents like this would not be a requirement but we but both in the next paragraph and on the agreement. does say like the agreement that would be signed would defin it actually indicates affirmative parental consent in both places but I see where there is a misalignment of that information. >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> Any other questions? Katherine, any questions? >> No, I don't have any questions. >> All those in favor? >> I. >> Any opposed? >> 50. Motion carries. Item J7, discussion approval of memo of understanding with Arizona Humanities and Arizona Reads kindergarten home library grant. Mr. Bane, >> thank you. Good evening, President

Holt, Vice by President Mronis, members of the board, Dr. Shreer, senior staff, and audience. I'm excited to share that MUSD has been awarded the Arizona Reads Grant, a reads grant to support our kindergarten students and families at Ironwood Elementary School and Roadrunner Elementary School. Uh this will this grant will promote foundational literacy sk literacy skills while also strengthening the partnership in a key transition year kindergarten uh between schools and families. The a reads grant will provide books for kindergarters to take home and read with their families as well as literacy activities for the whole family so all of them can get engaged together. At this time, uh, I am requesting anou to be approved between MUC and the grant provider of Arizona Reeds, Arizona Humanities. If approved, we will share the data outlined in the

grant requirements to include kindergarten achievement data from beginning to middle and end of the year. All of which is outlined as nonidentifiable, student identifiable, and FURPA compliant. Uh, the goal of course would be to show growth over time from beginning of the year to end of the year. Uh we outlined in the grant application uh that we will partner with Scholastic, our current literacy vendor or our current literacy um curriculum provider to purchase kindergarten home packs complete with books and activities and we will teach families how to use them uh over the course of the year as well. Uh thisou has been uh reviewed and approved by our legal council. I'm here for any questions. >> Is there a motion? >> I move that the governing board approve theou with Arizona Humanities and accept the

Arizona Reads kindergarten home library grants for Ironwood Elementary School and Roadrunner Elementary School. >> Second. >> Any questions? >> All those in favor? >> I have one question. Go ahead. >> Sorry, Catherine. We have some questions. My my only question is there's two elementary schools that qualified here. Is there reasons that the others did not qualify? >> No, that's a great question. I'm glad that you asked that. So, we had an opportunity to apply for two schools and we were actually very purposeful about Ironwood Elementary and Roadrunner Elementary. Uh Roadrunner is our um is our school in uh our most rural rural school with the highest free and reduced lunch population. Ironwood is uh our school, our elementary school that has the highest free and reduced lunch population that doesn't benefit from title one services.

So that's why we chose to we are hoping to uh possibly uh we're hoping to learn from this uh grant. We're excited about the opportunity so we can replicate this other elementary schools as well. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Any other questions? All those in favor? I >> I thank you. >> Thank you. Next item is item J8. Discussion approval of policy considerations policy GB GCBD professional sports staff fringe benefits. Mr. Bogart. >> Thank you, President Hol, governing board members, superintendent, and our Morirana community. I'm here to present a recommended change to policy GCBD. Over the last month or so, we've been working with district legal counsel as well as legal counsel from our insurance provider to ensure alignment of our policies. In that process, we um identified ways to increase the

clarity of our policy and um further align the district practice with what our health insurance policy states. >> Answer any questions you may have. >> Is there a motion? I move that the governing board approve revisions to policy GCBD professionals/support staff fringe benefits as presented. >> There second. >> Second. >> Any questions? >> All those in favor? >> I. >> Thank you. Next item is item J9 discussion approval of appointment of class 2 member to the Marian school district Morirana schools 2340 foundation board of directors. Dr. Shooter. President Holt, governing board members, members of the audience, in 2012, the Morirana Schools 2340 Foundation and Arizona nonprofit tax exempt corporation was formed to provide additional resources and supplement education and enrichment programs to the students and staff of MUSD. The 2340 Foundation board of directors is

composed of one class one director, that's the MUSD superintendent, three to five class 2 directors who are appointed by the governing board of MUSD and class 3 directors who are elected by the class one and class 2 directors of the corporation. The bylaws of the 2340 Foundation state that not less than one class 2 director shall be an employee of MUSD. With the retirement of Dan Canouro, the Morirana Schools 2340 Foundation Board of Directors respectfully requests that Thomas Bogart, the MUSD chief financial officer, be appointed for a three-year term. Is there a motion? >> I move that the governing board appoint Thomas Bogart as the as a class 2 director to the Morirana 20 sorry the Morirana Schools 2340 Foundation for a three-year term. >> Is there a second? Second. >> Any questions? Big trust.

Just kidding. All those in favor? >> I. >> Next item is item J10. Discussion approval of appointment. Appoint district delegate and alternative delegate to the Arizona school boards association delegate assembly. Dr. Sugar. President Holt. Governing board members, members of the audience. The Arizona School Boards Association Delegate Assembly will be held on September 6th, 2025, where representatives of ASBA member boards convene to decide the association's political position on the diverse interests of public school governing boards. Each district is encouraged to send delegates in order to participate in setting ASBA's agenda for the coming year. The ASBA proposed 2026 political agenda will be placed on the August 28th special board meeting agenda in order for the board to provide instruction to the district's delegate as to the board's position on those proposed agenda items. Tonight, you are

selecting your delegate and your alternate delegate. >> Is there a motion? I move that the board the governing board appoint Katherine Micronis as the district delegate and Kathy Raymond as the alternate delegate for the September 6, 2025 ASBA delegate assembly. >> Is there a second? >> Second. >> Any questions? Have fun. It's a long day. That's all I got to say. Um, all those in favor? >> I. >> Any against? Perfect. Next item is item J1. Discussion approval of Arizona Department of Education entity profile change for MCAT High School. Miss Rey. >> All right. My second item for you this evening is a request for the governing board to approve an update to MCAT High School's entity profile on file with the school finance unit within the Arizona Department of Education. We were notified of

this sec last week that while that when AD was reviewing MCAT high school's alternative schools application this year, there was an internal audit that did not have the mission statement on file with the school finance unit within AG, the same mission statement that we have been using the past 12 years at MCAT High School. So because you have to have a mission statement that has an alternative school mission stated within it, we need to align the entity. We need to align the mission statement on the school finance unit. So we need to have an entity profile change. Please note that again the MCAT high school mission statement has not changed since its initial approval as an alternative school. We are asking for this update on the entity profile in order to ensure compliance with the
