Is there a motion? >> So move >> any discussion. >> Can I ask what the sale price is? >> Um they're covering their attorney costs for making sure all the paperwork is done correctly. So, they have um they have had the building on this lot of land for years and we discovered this year that according to the township, we
014still quote unquote owned that little lot of land. So, it does us no good. They haven't leased it from us. Um and there are as we found out insurance implications of continuing to keep it. Um so, we would be looking at a cost. So, we uh we set up. Now, I did start off with negotiations, I have to say, for a million dollars, and that was quickly counter offered. Um but it it just makes sense to do it this way. And so, um they agreed to pay for all of the attorneys fees. >> You didn't answer the question. >> If I don't know what the attorney fees are. >> Well, yeah, but the price was a dollar. >> Yeah. Well, Yeah, because there has to be monetary value associated with it. You're right. Yeah. So,

Next, we have the recommendation to approve the purchase of science classroom bundles K2. Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. Gary Dancer, with the support of the administration is requesting approval of the purchase of the six science kits, K2 bundles. Can you explain the K2 bundles? Yeah, they go along with our K12 STEM programming and essentially since we don't have a STEM special at Max Lararsson, these kids will allow the teachers to facilitate some of those STEM activities in an appropriate way for our
016kindergarten and first graders. >> Okay, thank you. >> Kids for the classroom. Be resolved. 017fifth grade reading unit module on hydroponics actually as a module. >> What are they growing? >> Lots of different herbs and not that you know school appropriate ones >> and um >> can we sell those to I knew you were going to say something about that because of the rhubarb that you went on. Actually, no. We cannot sell them, but they do. She Mrs. Hord sends home things, you know, with the kids that they grow, and it's there's some really cool lettucees that I didn't know existed. So, it's it's really >> Wow. Is there a motion? >> So moved. Can you explain this just so we get new parking lot? Right. >> Well, so upgraded parking
020lot with another drive going out to Rose Street. Is it Rose Street? Um to minimize the congestion uh that's back there during pickup and dismissal. And um in order to do that when adding a drive, you need the um services of a civil engineer. And so that's what this will in this will include the all of that. And um then they will take on the um the bidding out of the asphalt services and everything else. So we don't have to do that as well. >> They'll be the construction manager. >> Thank you. I think that's a piece I didn't know when you said there was another drive going out. >> Yeah. >> Is it going out through the teachers parking lot or where? >> No, it's coming it. So there's currently one drive in off
021of Rose Street that the buses come in and then they loop around and go out that same drive. So this will be parallel to that just a few feet over. Um just widen the entry. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> All in favor? >> Opposed? Motion passes. Next we have the recommendation to approve the proposal submitted by Ignite Design LLC for the filter first implementation. Michigan filter first legislation requires public schools to develop a drinking water management plan. Timeline to begin immediately upon approval construction documents documented proposal is included via result. The board of education approved the proposal for Ignite Design LLC in the amount not to exceed $17,000 plus $1,500 reimburseable expenses and authorize administration to execute the agreement as presented. Is there a motion? >> So moved. Any discussion? So is there there's no grant
022dollars for this >> state's mandating >> it? Well, yeah, the state's mandating it, but there is grant money that we were awarded. Okay. So, that grant money will go towards this project, but I don't think the grant money will pay for the architectural fees. >> It won't cover these fees. Correct. >> It'll just help make sure that we're uh in line with legislation. >> And and really what this boils down to is we don't have the personnel to make this happen in the in the time frame allotted. So, we need outside assistance. All in favor? I >> oppose. Motion passes. Next, we have the recommendation to approve the purchase of New Line Interactive Boards Q series at Max Latterson and Cold Water High School. It's recommended that the board of education approve the purchase of
023new line interactive boards Q series to enhance presentation capabilities and provide improved functionality and designated spaces at both buildings. Are these the boards that are that you they project? They're like monitors or something. >> Yeah. Not big screen TVs. >> Yeah. Yeah. I have one in my office. Yeah. And why are we giving them to Max Larson High School? >> The other schools all have them. >> There's other buildings that are getting them. This just happens to uh exceed uh the need for board approval. So, they're they're getting more of them than the other buildings. Okay. Be it resolved the board of education approve the proposed AV equipment purchase for the total of $15,746 as presented. Is there a motion? >> So move. >> Any discussion? >> And this is all out of title five

Is there a motion? >> So moved. Support. >> What are these for when the power goes out or something? Um we we currently have very old um and and non-functioning uh radios
025in most of our buildings and um it's it's a need for student safety. You know, communication from the whether it's communication from another part of the building or the playgrounds or whatever. Um what we have is not working correctly. >> Who utilizes them? You're going to have your supervisor during arrival, departure, lunch at recess, >> all of that. >> Is there not like I mean >> that a lot. I just was curious like cuz there no like sell options or >> I didn't know I >> No, I mean you could get two phones cheaper than that. You know what I mean? Right. >> I'm just curious. >> But part of it is is we all have to hear what's going on on the radio. So two cell phones wouldn't offer us that opportunity. So like
026if we were looking for a missing child, we want everybody to be able to hear it. >> So So like >> I need Johnny to bust to how many radios are there? I guess that's I mean does >> Oh, Jill, you have >> radio. The radios that we currently have um don't reach >> through the whole building. So when I have people on the playground, it does not reach all the way to the office. It's very staticky. >> Yeah. I'm not suggesting there's not a need for the communication. I'm just asking Yeah. I'm just asking that's >> I think you want to know how many radios are on how many radios are there? Like how many? >> We currently have 16. >> Okay. >> And that's what we have too. >> Okay. Cool. >> And
027now that the students don't have their cell phones anymore, they can use them. >> All in favor? >> I oppose. Motion. >> What was that? Next element. The next >> uh the announcements and comments.
