Any questions, comments? Miss >> I bring this up every year and I'm sorry, but I don't see what they publish about the school. >> I know. I've seen nothing. And I'd like to use a local news source if possible to get more awareness about the positive stuff in the district. >> I believe though also didn't the Dearborn press and guide is no longer >> it's gone. >> So is media news group is media or was is media news group the Melis news herald and area, >> the down river area, which is the paper that they serve now since Dearborn Press and Guide is >> defunct.

>> So really, they're the only newsworthy in the area. I don't think that really addresses what you're what you >> you know she's it doesn't that doesn't it's she's saying >> I was asking because what she was saying but I was thinking now it's not even >> media news group isn't even relevant to this area anymore is it >> can we table I that's what I was going to ask are you guys good with tableabling it till March >> y the question go ahead do is we can always have it and we can change it as a motion too. Just so there's something until the following week >> are you >> once you enter into a contract? >> Yeah, I think it's a contract. >> It's not a contract. >> Okay. >> We're just saying

that's our paper of record. >> Okay. Or you could always vote it down and then you start over. I mean either one. So it's I'll guys want to go forward with the vote. Go ahead. My suggestion would be just that we do have it and then that way if people want to look at other options then bring it back so that way we have something and then at the next meeting even we can change it but so we have something for this meeting. >> You guys that make sense to everybody? >> Yeah. Okay. >> Roll call please. >> Trusty Windless. >> No. >> Trusty Anderson. >> No. >> Trusty Baltowski. Yes. Trusty Dyro. >> Yes. >> Trusty Sterling. >> No. Trusty Stanovvic. No trusty wall. >> Yes. >> Motion fails. >> Me. >> Okay. So,

it fails. >> Yeah. All right. I'll take back. I'll talk tomorrow. I'll have a counter. >> I don't even know if we have to do it. All right. Item 17, board committee structure to January 2027, exhibit one in your packet. Be it so resolved that the board of education approves the following four board committees with two to three board members serving on each committee. Each chairperson will be appointed by the committee and committee memberships will be confirmed at an upcoming board of education meeting. Building and site committee, board policy committee, board finance committee, student reinstatement kit. May I have a motion? So moved. Moved by Trustee Wall, supported by Trustee Beltski. Questions, comments? So, we're going to vote on this next meeting. >> Vote on next meeting. >> Go ahead. >> What are we voting

on next meeting? >> We're going to vote on >> um we're going to vote on who's going to be on it. >> Gota, >> I guess. Yeah, we going to vote on the Did we do that all together? Chair and Okay. And so I have a question because here it says chair person will be appointed by the committee. >> Right. >> That's how it's supposed to be. >> Yeah. So to me it should go back to the committee and you vote. >> But now right I think it's right. >> I think last year if I recall correctly and I wasn't at that meeting but I watched it and it seemed like you asked who was at the committee because I told you I wanted to be part of it and then you even asked in

advance who wanted to be chair. And so let's say the three of us agree we're going to be on a committee and then we say at the same time, okay, I'm fine if you're chair, I'm fine if you're chair, whatever. >> It's it you did it at the meeting instead of going to the meeting. >> Which kind of makes sense to me because if you wait and go to the meeting, then you're sitting there going, "Okay, so does the last person run it or just how does it go?" You know, >> right? I think that's what the line of my line of thinking was last year going into that >> um was as long as it was okay with everybody >> that was on that committee. >> And then when you had your meeting, you

knew who was in charge. >> And the nice thing about doing it at that time and getting the chair in line um so whoever's going to be that next policy chairperson can get that meeting on the on the books right away and get rolling on those. You're on fours, thousands. I just would like to remind everyone that's dying to be on >> looking at you like are you are you telling >> you no one is no one is even even jumping on that team with me. >> I've done it sold out. >> We haven't yet of interest yet. >> There's no more chairs. >> She bought up. So yeah, she did have >> all right. Anyway, yeah, that makes sense. I I like that. >> Just for that, nobody sign up. >> Withdraw my name

and let everyone else come forward. >> Any further discussion? >> All right. Roll call, please. >> Trusty Anderson, >> what do we decide? >> This is just you. You're just these are the committee members. >> We didn't decide on each. >> All right. >> That's for the next meeting. Yes. >> Claire's >> I'm so glad this is called an organizational video. >> Trusty Anderson. >> Yes. >> Trusty Bowelski. Yes. Trusty Dyro. >> Yes. >> Trusty Sterling. >> Yes. >> Trusty Stanovic. >> Yes. Trusty Wall. >> Yes. >> Trusty Windless. >> Yes. >> Motion carries. So next meeting we will discuss and vote for who or nominate people on the policy committees or >> all the committees the four committees. Darn it. All right. Item 18. 18. Yeah. Okay. 2026 board of education meeting schedule. Be

it so resolved that the board of education holds regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month for the 2026 calendar year as present as presented. May I have a motion? >> So moved. >> Moved by trustee WS. >> Supported by trustee Belowski. Um sure we all would like to have conversation about this. Go ahead. >> Right. I was about to say. >> Yep. Go ahead. >> Because I know graduation is usually one of the big ones. Yeah. So, I don't know about all the other ones, but so I just wanted to make sure that was brought up and I don't know if Secretary Susan has graduation date because I don't know >> June 4th. >> So, it's the day after graduation >> day or day work >> because our

meetings don't go that far. >> We typically never have the same week of graduation. >> No, we haven't. Um, does anyone have a problem having a day before graduation? >> Go ahead. There's normally stuff going on after the school. >> Oh, yep. Okay. >> I think it's a difficult time for the graduation practice and then >> it's normally the day before the graduation and then they ready for >> I think it's a very busy time for administration as well. Okay. >> So, we typically just had that one meeting. >> We did it the following week >> or do it the following week. >> Yeah. So, back to that >> good doing it the second week of June. >> So, June 10th. >> That would be June 10th. >> Okay. >> I typically would might have

a meeting, but that's fine. Sporadic for me. But then are we still keeping the June 17th date? >> Keep it back. >> You need to. It's budget time. >> Okay. >> Budget hearing time. All of that. >> Okay. >> And not only that, last year we were able to move things a little bit because but if there's no July 1st is already >> right. >> Yeah. >> Everyone good? Then >> are we moving July 1? >> That was the other day. That was the other day. If we do move July 1st, then we could technically move June 1. So it is >> so we would have it June 10th and then June 24th. Is that what you're saying? >> That's only if you're moving July one, >> right? >> But if you move to July

one, then you're moving that to like July 8th and the other one would be July 22nd, which would work because August would be August 5th. It would be every other week. >> I like I like that as well, Miss Dyra. I was just going to say in the past there have been times that there's only been one meeting in July. Yeah. >> One meeting in July. >> Did you just call me to speak? Thank you. >> No. And I was letting I I did but then but then I caught myself and I looked at Tanya and I said, "My question." >> Um get the microphone. >> First meeting always happens. >> Anyway, there have been times where there has only been one meeting in July because of that Fourth of July close contact. if you

did away with that July 1st and we only had the 15th. But there's also been the theory to just keep it and then cancel it if it seems like there's not the need to have a if there's a boatload of business, fine. But if not that everything could wait till one meeting in July, >> right? >> So I don't know. I'm fine with the 10th and the 17th for June and leaving the 1st and the 15th alone, but you're suggesting the 10th and the 24th. That's what we did last year, >> right? >> And then leaving the first and the 15th >> and then I would almost say get rid of the first and keep the 15th >> in the the eighth and the >> No, I think we moved in two months. Did >>

I think we did >> the dates? >> We did. We had two We had two meetings last July. >> Uhhuh. >> So we could do >> we moved the June meetings like we have if we do the 10th and the 24th. That's how we did it last year. And then if we move the July meetings to the 8th and the 20 >> second >> 2nd, that's how we did it last year. >> And that still gives where it's not back to back, >> right? The weeks. Yeah. >> There's the extra week in July. >> I mean, are you guys okay with that? Because July 8th kind of still runs into fourth holiday. >> Well, you know, people are going to be on vacation no matter what. You know, it is what it is. >> Okay.

So, we're good. >> Just a vacation time. >> Okay. >> I do like that versus having meeting back to back. Can you say during this >> or not having it or only do it July 15th? >> All right. So, we're going to have June 10th and 17th. Go ahead. >> Can I make a suggestion? I would I would do, you know, June 10th, June 24th and then July 8th and July 22nd and eliminate the July 8th meeting if it comes once we come to that time and you and Mark decide that we don't need that meeting. >> Right. >> That's what I would do, too. >> Okay. Yep. That makes sense. Okay. So, we're going to do June 10th and June 24th versus June 3rd and June 17th. And then July 1st, we're going to

move that to July 8th. And July 15th is going to be July 22nd. >> Yeah. >> Does that sound good, everybody? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is there any other dates? I didn't see any other dates myself, but does anyone else see any other dates that need to be changed? >> No. No. >> Okay. You good? Are you laughing at me? My birthday's not on any of them, so it's good. >> Otherwise, I announce always ahead of time. >> Okay. Did you get that? >> Good. Okay. >> All right. Roll. >> Uh, roll call, please. >> Trusty Baltowski, yes. Trusty Dyro, >> yes. >> Trustee Sterlin, >> yes. >> Trusty Stanovic, >> yes. >> Trusty Wall, >> yes. >> Trusty Wlet, yes. >> Trusty Anderson, >> yes. >> Motion carries. Item 19, 2026 superintendent evaluation timeline

exhibit number three. Be it so resolved that the board of education approves the 2026 superintendent evaluation timeline with dates as presented. I have a motion. >> So moved. >> Moved by trustee wall. >> I have support. >> Support by trustee Belowski. >> Questions, comments? Yes, ma'am. Below trust. >> So on the Yes. um on on the timeline there's no dates. It just says June and then it just says um December >> and so it gets to be that time and finding a date, >> right?
