Thank you for bringing us the opportunity to do the Township's business tonight. We ask that you give us your wisdom. We ask for protection for Chief Morawski and the firefighters and also your protection for Sergeant Tealander and the Sheriff's Department. These things we pray in your name. Amen. Amen. Did Jason say about him? Thank you, Ed. >> [clears throat] >>

Did you want to stand up there? I don't know where Sergeant Tealander works now, but I was glad you asked him to give the prayer for us. I was going to say, I'm like, yeah. 004that on the consent agenda as, but you want to He would like to remove it from the consent and it will be the next topic. Okay. We can have roll call on that, please, if anybody doesn't have any discussions. Um are Are we roll calling are we approving the consents? Uh I in that does item page eight, 6.1.2 lists the Village of Lake Orion as being the what included within the contract and we don't have a Lake Orion in our community. So, how that gets handled, I'll defer. >> me that page again because this agreement they are this agreement was approved ages ago. So, tell me where that's at again, please. Page eight.

Item 6.1.2. Second paragraph. Got it. So, I'd be willing to make a motion Well, I'll wait for discussion, I guess, if there is any. >> [clears throat] >> So, I do believe that they're asking for two of these, if you will notice, that one is picking up when it expires. So, we're going to we're going to need to approve both of these cuz apparently they didn't send it to us in a timely fashion. So, they want both of these returned. And legal is saying that we do. Were these Were these reviewed by our council? >> Legal was saying that we need to do this, otherwise we get penalized and fined. So, this has been to Bob Davis and so Correct. he recommends this to Okay. All right, that answers that one. That takes care of

that. Can I ask you >> What about What about the pay tax? I don't understand. It says Lake Orion Village. I made a note of that and I will ask the lady who sent this over to the township. I believe she sent it to two of us. Um I will ask her if she will amend the original agreement to reflect Okay. Addison Township or the supervisor. I'm just going to change it and have the supervisor sign it and send everything back and then ask them to change it at their end. Okay. All right, I'll make a motion then to do that. Okay. 017frontage of the proposed SAD requesting the amount of $300 per parcel for each of the next 5 years winter tax 2026 through 2030 for the purpose of road maintenance and common elements and a 5% collection fee for the township where a proper notice of a hearing has been published in the action leader April 29th, 2026 and May 6th, 2026 mailed by first class mail to each of the property owners within the proposed SAD whereas the office of supervisor verified and determined the petitions for Glenn Meadow Lane, Glennwood Drive, Glenview, Glencove, Glenvalley SAD is properly signed by the record owners of 60 parcels with 63 of 99 signatures based on the tax roll or 63.6% At this time open up the meeting at 6:15. I'm hearing any can we have roll call on that, please? Mary Cross Yes. >> Karen Gottle Yes. Ed Brickfield Yes. >> Jenny Elor Yes. Mike McDonald Yes. Bennet, yes. Supervisor Pierson Yes. Resolution is so moved. Move on to item number three. Resolution adopting and affirming the 2026-27 health care benefits and include health care, vision, dental with life, long term, short term disability insurance and

contribution and in lieu of benefits. >> [clears throat] >> I'm going to open that up to Pauline because she worked hard on this. So, I went ahead and created a list for everybody so that you can see the monthly health increase for the Township and also the fire department. Both of these are within the budget. All the employees are very satisfied with with the coverage that we have. I did find it interesting that the gap insurance gave us no increase this year, which is unusual. The dental monthly increase for both departments is $48 a month, which is very very low. And then the vision also held its own and they did not do an increase for us. So, as close as I could figure, it's slightly about a 12% 12 and 1/2% increase for the

health. Um which, like I said, the employees are happy about that. I did want to point out so that there's no confusion later. It happened at a time where the renewal came that everybody that they're showing in the what do you call the spreadsheet were the current employees. The fire department does have two new ones coming on board. So, of course, the fire department bill is going to be larger than what this is projected but I wanted the board to understand what the actual increase was. So, that list actually worked out very well even though they didn't have the new employees on there just yet. So, it's about a 12 and 1/2. We have the resolution that goes through and covers just about everything. It covers the employees have to give a 12 and 1/2%

contribution. It also indicates that we're going to continue doing the life, long-term, and short-term policy. Then it continues on for the um deductibles. It also addresses the in lieu of payment, so that that would continue. So, we tried to put everything in this one resolution for our benefit year. Then there's um at the very end there's a state law that asks that we have to address every year. So, at the very end we also address the state law where it states that um we are exempting ourselves from the package that the state is alluding to. Okay. Anybody on the board have any comments on this? Well, I do. I uh I'm really happy with our um health care plan. Yeah, you can see that we get new employees now because it's it's uh uh >>

[cough] >> attractive. And um and we keep the employees that we have because it's attractive. So, it's a um a major thing when you you're trying to keep experienced people and not just have turnover. So, I'm very happy with this and as long as it keeps within reasonable amounts and everything, I'm very happy that we can provide that. So, does anybody else have any comments? I wanted to thank Pauline for all the extra work um given us such an overview and then the specificity of the schedule of payments and that. That's really >> Thank you. It's a lot. And we don't have Mr. Bommarito anymore, do we? >> Yeah, David retired. Um I'm still trying to get in touch with him, but he has retired. Um so, we we were getting a late jump on

this, but um his staff I worked with um I worked with a gentleman one time, but then his the other person um she would receive all of our updates, so I I've worked with her in the past. But, it seems like they're keeping going what David had set up for us Um because he he really did do the Township a great favor by rearranging our health care and in going down this road. Very good. And the emotions? I like to move the resolution adopting and affirming the 2026-2027 health care benefits that include health care, vision, dental with life, long-term, short-term disability insurance, employee contribution, and in lieu of benefits. Support. Okay, we have a motion and support. Any further comments from the board? Not hearing any, can I have roll call on that, please? Can

you put that away? You're getting like me, forgetful. Ed Brickel. Yes. Jenny Day. Yes. Mary Frost. Yes. Karen Goggles. Yes. Mike McDonald. >> Yes. Bennett, yes. Supervisor Truscott. Yes. Resolution is so moved. Okay, we'll go to public forum now. Anybody in the public would like to speak, uh please step up and tell us who you are. What's your name, sir? Dirk Marowski. I live at 2497 Dexter [laughter] Road. Um I do want to say apologize for my tardiness, but we had a bunch of calls and we had a bad medical and things going on, but the crew did handle that. But, I did want to say really [clears throat] quickly on the medical, I appreciate the board and I speak for everybody on the fire department. I'm sure the people on the Township as well,

but representing the bigger amount of people, I would like to say thank you for that. It really does help keep our employees um going forward with the health care. Well, manage it every year. Pauline and I work on it. She the spearheads it and then tells me what's going on and then we kind of talk when budget time is about what the increase is going to be and so we're going to have to get a hold of somebody cuz Barb Marino was really good at that. He would tell us like, you guys be prepared for like 8% or whatever, you know what I mean? So, just let you know that we are looking at it every year. We did look at some other options. It just wasn't what we're used to up here and we

could still afford it. So, just let you know every year when this comes up, we do take our time and really look at it before we just throw out money to the wind, right? So, thank you for your support on that. Appreciate it. Thank you, Chief. Anybody else would like to speak? Okay, not hearing any. Let's uh go to uh Township board members. You have anything that any any of the boards you're on, anything you want to add? They can't they've canceled the last two material management meetings, so I think we will have one later this this month. Okay. Planning Commission, Matt. We had a meeting and it went well. Good. Anybody else? I'll note it. We did get photographs of the new revision of the building. It's coming along, so noted. That's correct. Yeah,

I did see those also. Um any legal reports? Communications? >> Yes, communications. I received a letter from Donna Steel, our state our state representative and I'm just going to read two lines. I received the letter you signed opposing House Bills 5529 through 5532 and House Bills 5581 through 5585. Hearing directly from those who serve our communities is invaluable and strengthens my ability to effectively represent local interest in Lansing. I wish more of our elected reps would do this. So, thank you everybody who contacted the representatives and uh Very good. >> [clears throat] >> Anybody else? Nobody? Okay, um now we're on to supervisor's report. Well, we had spring clean up. It was a great success. It was extremely busy. Once again, we filled up everything. Matter of fact, we still have tires out there. Tires,

yeah. In the parking [clears throat] lot. I might have to give them a call, see if we could get those removed before next year. >> [laughter] >> Anyways, but it was a great great success and uh Mike and I and I like to give kudos to uh Phil Marshall. He comes out every single year. He's 80-some years old and he's out there, you know, working the crowd. I mean, he's he's very very good at uh personable with everybody and helping. So, I'd like to thank him personally. Um >> [clears throat] >> Uh the roads were just all chlorided and they did get the roads back in shape. They're all in shape from the disaster we had this spring with all the the washouts and everything. I just hope that tonight we didn't lose the roads

again um from uh all the rain we just got, but uh Um I've been working on a drainage issue here on Rochester Road by Vernier. It appears that when they made the road um uh when they repaved it, the water now is going down like a like Niagara Falls down the hill and kind of destroying everybody's driveway. I had the uh superintendent and the uh foreman from the road commission out there and I think we have a solution, so they're going to be at it next week there. But, it's been a major problem. I've had them out there many many times, but I think we we might have it covered now. Um I'd also like to say I just want to update everybody on the uh work schedule. The uh Monday through Thursday it's very

successful. I think the citizens are happy with it. The employees are extremely happy with it. And um it has been working out extremely well and I told everybody I would give you an update on it. And um you know, if it wasn't going to work then we needed to know that, but I think it's very successful. So um maybe we can address that cuz I think we only had a temporary Maybe next month. >> six months >> [clears throat] >> It was a six months and I think we started in December if I'm correct, so six months will be in June. So maybe we can put that on the next agenda if anybody has any questions on it. I'll check tomorrow on that. Okay. Well I guess we're down to the point where I'm looking

for an adjournment. A motion I'll be in order. I motion to adjourn. Supporter. We have a motion and support. All those in favor say I. I. Anyone opposed say nay. Okay, the eyes have it. Next meeting June 15th. 6:00. Same place. Thank you.
