to approve the rescind of retirement for lori varucci as presented any discussion roll call please mr zicker aye ms may though mr herrera hi this is how hi mr buker hi mrs reed nemech aye motion passes 6-0 at this time i'd like to turn the meeting over to dr shug for strategic group session all right thank you uh there is so this powerpoint is in your board docs but i have it here uh to sort of go through it as i discuss it uh so i'm gonna i would really like this to be as interactive as possible uh i'm going to share the information with you but i'm looking for your thoughts and feedbacks uh feedback on do you think that this is in line with your thinking uh are there things that are missing

does this seem um accurate and then as we're sort of going through it i'd like you to be thinking about overall themes overall trends so i'm gonna walk over here so uh as all of you know i've been conducting listening sessions over the past month and prior to that during some of my transition days i have conducted those uh one-on-one small group virtual sessions and in-person sessions i've had the opportunity with all of the board members with 101 community members parents families 77 staff and administration so 185 people so far i have literally one tomorrow scheduled so this is still an ongoing process but the further i've gotten into it the more i'm hearing the same things come through over and over which is what starts to tell you all right i think i've got

the core of the information so the questions uh what do you love about district 100 uh which if you're sort of thinking so i'm thinking ahead to strategic planning and how this really uh is the very beginning of gathering the feedback that begins that strategic planning process uh a lot of times in a strategic planning process you do a swat some strengths weaknesses opportunities threats these questions are rounding questions um which are i think aligned to those same questions but give me some additional detail that i'm looking for please note that there were also some questions i asked specifically the board that aren't listed here i'm saving that feedback for our border treat so that we can discuss that in more detail but here are the questions that overlapped in all the sessions so what

do you love about district 100 do you have the resources you need to be effective in what areas can we improve areas of concern support from staff administration and superintendent advice for me and rock stars in the district uh so the strengths so normally what i would do is plug all these into an excel spreadsheet and see how many times everything occurred uh but especially in the group sessions it got to be a little bit difficult because a lot of times people would follow up on a comment that had already been made so the nature of this really qualitative feedback didn't really lend itself to that however i made sure that everything i have here occurred at least three times uh in different sessions so if i had one parent feedback session and then i

saw it in another session and then one other maybe one-on-one that would be enough to put it here but it was a little harder to rank and say this occurred absolutely the most frequently and this less frequently i'm still working on that how i can drill into that a little bit deeper for you but i would say all of that being said without any doubt the people was the most common every single uh session i had the people came up we are a family here i'm really blessed with the people i get to work with so many uh comments like that and it went across the system uh teachers student services support staff paris sodium clerical administration ceo building level everyone i got a shout out as i went through this process programming and again

i tried to pull out when i had the opportunity sort of a quote that i thought demonstrated some of the sometimes really emotional responses that people had when you asked this question dual language was one of those that had a really emotional response of gratitude uh from families and from staff alike so some of the programming that was highlighted dual language grant tech ed pathways special ed especially with families feeling like the teachers have really gone above and beyond for them and their programming running start music advanced placement coursework and sports the culture um my voice matters a really strong feeling of support from colleagues and also from administration positive working relationships positive working relationship with the unions and overall an innovative spirit which i thought was really nice to hear and the community the

community is passionate in their support for the school district uh supportive pride multiple comments about students families easy to work with uh and really really the best of them so thoughts on that uh in some of these i've sort of pulled out the staff from the parents here again the feedback really overlapped so there was no reason to do that does that feel right does that feel like district 100 yep for the most part for the most part anything that is missing hearing nothing i'm going to move on resources here again um the overwhelming answer to do you have the resources you need to do your job and or support your children was yes um i i thought that that was really quite remarkable and i heard it over and over again um i've been

encouraged and supported to get the support needed to do my job yes and if not there's a process to get it i have what i need 100 that was from one of our building principles uh so just really a strong feeling of i can get what i need to be effective but there were some staff resources that were highlighted and here again you can see the whole part staff and parents on time over and over again time not enough time to do the things that we need to do to be effective early childhood vision what is our north star what's our compelling why uh needing to revisit that strategic plan um conversations about feeling like you know spinning our wheels a bit you know like where are we going um and sel resources parents also

mentioning early childhood additional tutoring resources sel resources they would like to see their chromebooks renewed more often and additional rigor that came up in a number of different ways but especially at the secondary level wanting to see more things coming home at night more uh and not necessarily more homework per se but more challenging things happening in some of their classes okay accurate that seem like district 100 do you agree yeah i agree i think i think the one that stuck out to me was uh only because i i look at that stuff probably too often sometimes is the the vision in the north star and the compelling why i think the staff at least from what i've heard and maybe everybody hears something different which is totally totally fine because you know i just

hear from a certain group of people that that's the part that's been they've been wanting more of then you know the we know we have to do it but how's it going to make life better for me and i i think whether we like it or not education's changed a lot we have to sell things more than we're used to i mean we we can't just say you have to do it and expect it to be easy anymore kids parents teachers they're it's it's just different than it was before i mean back in the day like when dinosaurs roam the earth you did it because you were told to now now things have changed and i think we need to we need to look at that yeah i think that's really good feedback so i

have a question in regards to what are we doing well we've got more advanced placement i think that was one of one of the areas and and the strengths but then one of them is that we need additional rigor so how do those attach or conflict or can you speak more on i can't um well a couple things i think you know and i think this isn't the only thing that conflicts right um so i think we'll see more of that especially when we get into areas for improvement but there was some frustration for example with not being able to get into those higher level classes and then if i can't get into those higher level classes um my learning is not coming as quickly as i would like it to be uh there's not

enough challenging material that it was sort of i'm in these advanced placement classes or i'm not and there's kind of a big gap in between those two pieces i think middle school was an area where people felt like there was an opportunity for more challenge more rigor i'm sorry go ahead along with that i agree i heard a lot in talking with everyone about you know and give them the time to focus on what they need so they can have more rigor i think you are exactly correct and i think there was definitely a feeling of that and again when we get to uh improvements i think you'll sort of hear that real appreciation for teachers what they're doing the resources they're providing but your teachers feeling like i'm stretched a whole lot of different

directions and even a call for additional real focus on those instructional practices i think to to provide that higher level of rigor um and differentiated learning which is really difficult to do um without time to really really work with your colleagues and really plan i think one of the other things i heard that wasn't up there well in some ways it is i guess because you can look at maybe things like seo resources and other things and maybe time is there's some concern about discipline issues in schools whether it be consistency whether it be too many of them whether it be types whatever i think it's just in a general categorized area of of just how we address that how we go about fixing it how we aid all stakeholders and making that a better

situation i'm going to push us into improvements because we're going to talk some about some of those pieces unless but i don't want to rush us through anything else on resources before i move us into improvements and there's overlap here too i mean there are people that answered resources questions with improvements and people who answered advice with you know uh improvements so there's definitely overlap in all of these areas areas to improve i've heard so many times that last year was the most challenging year of my career i heard it over and over and over again um and just the feel and i i think it's not whatsoever you need to district 100 i think that this is a feeling uh that we are seeing in our educators across the country uh that the first

year of covid was really really challenging but people felt supported the second year of covet was challenging but people felt uh some of that support and then at you know now we're really starting to see the exhaustion the division the politics uh and teachers and administrators expressed over and over and over again their feeling of this was a really hard year it was really hard to pick myself up it was really hard to get through so um that's definitely a feeling that's out there and is complicated by some of these other pieces um and to be clear people have wonderful passionate things to celebrate but people are tired and uh and feel a little bit beat down a little bit run down and i just think we need to be really aware of that as

we're planning the future so communication vision really get back to that north star uh you were talking about matt the compelling why let's have one message um and this was communication across all aspects uh so again this is stat i've pulled apart parents and community and staff and board but they talked about communication vertically so middle school to high school elementary middle school and they talked about uh horizontally as well they talked about you know district office to um employees just every type of communication we would like to have more of it we would like it to be clearer and we would like it to be singular so we're not getting mixed messages on what is happening why it's happening um the messenger uh should not be delivering mixed messages um too many initiatives um

and a lot of discussion about restoring focus on achievement and debt keep things as focused as possible need to get back to a focus on instructional priorities i heard this a lot uh really this sort of feeling of i really feel like i've gotten away from best practice in my classroom over these past two years uh when we were relying on virtual instruction we didn't have the plc's we didn't have that focus on achievement data i feel like i need a refresher on that i feel like i need more time on that i need to again refresh with my colleagues we need time to implement we need a narrow focus we need alignment and a redefinition of the river banks so a really feeling of i don't know what's in my control and what's outside

of my control i need to know what i can make decisions about and what decisions are going to be brought down to me and a need for professional development additional support needed for staff and students special education sel time plc time dual language early childhood sub fill rates safety and security so these were all additional supports that came up across the board again you see that timepiece um that directly conflicts with some fill rates uh in many ways where they have not been able to have the plc time they've had they haven't been able to go to the pd that they've had because we haven't had the subs to be in the classrooms um so two dueling priorities uh one of the quotes i should have put on here that i heard in more than

one session i love these on our minds uh i heard that from parents i heard that from our stake so safety and security is important uh across the board trust immunity uh conversations about trust and unity uh between the administration and the board um and also between the community and the school district and feeling like some of those pieces have been difficult and challenging over these past couple of years i already talked about it but then around that burnout people just wanting to feel valued uh across the board again i heard it from administrators i've heard from staff i heard from perez i heard it across the board we want somebody to reach out and tell us that we feel valued there was now after uh people i was interviewing after the contract was approved

uh added the contract was a helpful piece in that so there's definitely a feeling that that was an extension of support um staff retention um and evaluating salary structures uh and specifically here talking about filling some of those difficult bill positions um including the dean level positions so this is from families and community you can see their list really is a lot different as you would expect it's more operational in nature again as you would expect traffic is a problem there's behavior issues on the buses there's behavior issues in the bathrooms there's behavior issues in the hallway uh there's bullying going on um over and over i want safety to be a number one priority i want to make sure my child feels safe when they come to school communication um consistent frequent communications more

timely a lot of frustration right now um with i don't know my kids going to kindergarten i don't know where they're going yet you know i don't know what their bus works going to be i don't have their school supply list you know so just some of these pieces that are difficult for a whole lot of reasons but are frustrating for our families concerns about gender identity um critical race theory curriculum uh those issues that you've been hearing about already and i think we will continue to hear about people are worried um more focus and support again sel uh came up and another one that came up in virtually every session again rigorous learning opportunities and access here is where you see that access to advanced coursework people feel like my child didn't you know

was five points away on this test from being able to be in this advanced class um how can we how can we provide all the students that want that sort of opportunity that sort of opportunity so thoughts on that that's that's like the biggest couple of slides right uh those are the these sort of heavy hitters that i think need to be pulled apart a whole lot more and people had a whole lot more to say than what i just gave you thoughts about those pieces do they feel accurate is there something that is missing i would say that i definitely hear the discipline side which i think matt will mention as well i know that it's a problem in other districts and they probably haven't addressed it enough but it's something we need to

look at for sure is big um and some of the other things i'm here as well no doubt about it yeah i think i think i mean good or bad i think communication is going to start being a big one i mean i i i mean i don't want to get into the exam and get into why but the pathways was an example of where we could have done a better job of communicating um i think we're going to have a lot of controversial issues coming up before the board in the next year or so that i think we need to really be diligent in our level of communication because in a vac a vacuum will if there's a vacuum it'll fill yeah i think we're we need to present what it is we're looking

at in a transparent way and let people have the confidence that whether they agree or disagree with us we're not hiding anything we're not trying to just spring something on them and they can agree or disagree we may decide something they don't want but at least it was out there they saw what it was for whatever reason i think too and it goes along with like consistent communication is identifying different areas that our community and staff communicate some you know some community members may not use email or may not use facebook or not frequently um so how do you reach how do you reach a group of individuals that don't use that but then also individuals and community members and staff members that that is a good strong way to to communicate with them absolutely

and i think you know again over and over i want more communication but i also want to trust the communication that i'm getting but it's consistent again that that one messenger one voice and i think i think in a district that is large like this you have a lot of different communicators and so i think that's something to get right there on all right any other thoughts on that i would anticipate that this will be as we begin our prioritization around the strategic plan a big part of what we would focus our efforts around and allison has made the point that i fully agree with uh this is one part this is qualitative data we also have a whole lot of quantitative data uh that is going to tell us some other stories in terms

of where we need to really dig in academically and move some of that achievement data so we're hearing the achievement piece but again as we set up for that strategic plan thinking about some of these really important qualitative um sorts of pieces but also really making sure we're diving deeply into that data balancing those two things all right uh support advice highest priority uh if you're really asking what do you need from me what do you need from central office what do you need from uh the d100 staff what advice would you give me i really enjoyed these questions what should be my highest priority and i got a lot of really kind uh kind words you know of you know this difficult work you know stick with it be yourself you know those sorts

of things which i absolutely appreciated uh and again i just it really speaks to the genuine authentic moment we have here uh that want to see us all succeed together so this was a really positive question after the uh improvement question so uh celebrate uh find the strengths and exploit them i liked that quote in particular how can we really get out there and tell our story and make sure people know all the great things that are happening here because there are without doubt so many great things happening here um communication clear and transparent listen be present be visible and when you listen make sure you tell us why you made the decision that you did right so here you just spent all this time meeting with all these different people and they told you

all these different things and we're not going to be able to respond to all of them so why did we make the choices that we made why did we respond to some things and not to other things just making sure that it's not enough to just listen but we also got to tell people um why the pathway that we chose was the pathway that we chose and where their uh where their feedback was a part of that process um vision again strategic plan and less is more uh really really focus on what is most important i have a quick question yeah on the slide right before this um sorry i was still kind of composing my thoughts no no totally i'm a little slow um how many can you remind me how many families slash

community members did you talk to with 100 and 201 okay um when i look at those items i have a very clear picture of the demographics of the families and community members who responded who gave you feedback and i am very wary of um shaping our strategic plan around the demographics of people who i suspect look an awful lot like me um so how do we address that yeah i think that that is a very very very appropriate question and i think that's where this is a very top-level dive but i have not at this point gone to dig in at the level that i will need to in terms of making sure those people who did not come to the parent listening session for whatever reason uh are also represented uh who are the

people who don't feel like they belong don't feel like they're represented in our schools uh and how can we hear their voices well so yes and your your thoughts about that are certainly accurate uh the people who are going to be comfortable coming to the listening session the people who are going to be comfortable uh really engaging about some of these things may not be the people may not represent all of the people that we need and may not represent the greatest needs and may not represent the greatest great question carla any other thoughts on any of that or the advice so overall themes and priorities i have mine on the next slide which maybe you already read um uh but anything as you see this so i like uh carla's comment that i want

to take back and make sure that uh they're really uh working with how are we making sure didn't voluntarily come forward with their feedback have the opportunity to provide that feedback that we what what did you hear as themes and priorities safety and discipline your kids this is what i saw in this feedback the staff students community excellent programming is overall very strong english opportunity resources are in place to be successful but we need to prioritize building trust and relationships through disability clear frequent and transparent communication that we need a guiding vision and focus focus on safety sel special education sports and overall achievement data that's what i saw is there anything that you saw again looking at this feedback that is missing on this list i would say in relation as well special education

supports we also have a subgroup of students that are english language learners that i know that there's always been difficulty in finding teachers and supporting um supporting the students needs and that is a very large portion of our student population so i i would look at special education and el in the same group that both of them would i think that's okay and i think there is definitely way enough information feedback to add el to that and i think there was also generally a feeling that there are some students that we miss you know there are some students for which there is not the right programming in writing so i think that would be very appropriate other thoughts yeah just a quick one i think when we do the strategic plan however it turns out

without looking at any of those that they ought to be they got to be goals for everybody that that whatever the strategic plan is whether you agree with it or disagree with it building wise district whatever they should follow in every in every building that we can look at all the buildings are at least following the same gate plan so to speak or the same outline i would i would absolutely agree with you that i think we all need to be growing in the same direction and again i do think i'm covering that data is going to help us with determining what to me again it is really about the narrowness of the focus right like what is the data point you want to act and what is the strategy we're going to use as

a district so we are really really unified around the most critical leverage points really really aligned is really really important but i think again to allison and carla's points also being really aware that we've got to reach the needs of a really diverse what else other thoughts couple thoughts on those strategic plan um and going with what others said i was on uh seven years ago um and we had the meetings during the day once a month it was during the day it was very difficult parents and community members i really think to get you know people community members parents from those groups is critical when we're talking about so i don't know if there's a way to have meetings later on you know so the working parent can be part of this we had

a lot of people start the process and honestly didn't finish or some didn't even start they said yes and then didn't make it so i don't know how you know how we're thinking about going about this but it's very difficult to get people for these all day long meetings stick with us in all the different groups i think i 100 agree with that and i think you know i i think what we need to do too is have a strategic plan i mean we do a lot of things in education that we understand we write it in our language because we've done it for years and years but put something where everybody can generally look at and understand what what we're doing with that in non educational leave sometime that they can look at and

say yeah this is pretty simplistic i know what we're doing and i know what the basic goal is for everybody and i think that would help in reaching people that want to be involved but need something that they can grasp better to maybe want to be more um i think that that's uh i think that that again is going to be really really important i think whoever we choose as our strategic planning steering committee needs to represent um the diversity of the staff the population that we serve and needs to be done at a time when they can't attend so i think we need to be really aware of that and i think that's something to really lay out with whatever company it is we move forward what else do you see as gaps and

holes um i guess the communication um my perspective as a parent is i i get so much communication i don't even know what to do with it i don't necessarily think that people need more communication i think they need more targeted communication probably similar communication and maybe different ways to think about communication you know we've done a board town hall for years now and the average attendance is about six people i mean great for those six people to come but we can use our resources more effectively i don't have a bright idea how but um you know when it comes to the strategic planning process maybe it's too big of an ask to require parents and community members to come to x number of three-hour meetings that may occur in the middle of the day

but maybe you can get them to one you know and get feedback from them if you have a core team and then you have people who come to one meeting or um because it's just it's too much we all everyone in this room it's too much it's too much communication too many meetings um it's the same people at everything maybe you know we need to think about how we communicate um maybe not ask quite as much from people more diverse i think so too i think i think maybe a way to look at it is because i i think sometimes we do too much preaching as a group and maybe have a feedback strategic plan part where they just i mean it's not us presenting to them us telling them what we're going to do

in all these categories but get feedback on what they think are vital parts that we need to do that way it's a one-time shot they're not looking like they're committing to seven weeks out of three months or whatever but we do get some vital feedback from a lot of diverse groups i think it would be good to switch out board members as well you know like the last one here i think it was just rob and i but really should all be apart a little bit uh you want community input is maybe not having them meet you in a school like we've talked before about how some individuals may have a negative view of school they don't want to walk into a school they never had a good experience or they don't want to walk

into a school because they don't feel it it's safe because of you know all the media attention and things that supposed to get recently so you know thinking about also where are we asking them are we meeting them where they're more comfortable are we making them good all really good feedback any other thoughts on that okay i want to talk a little bit more about strategic planning and the next steps and then um and well i guess i'll use the slides for just two more minutes you can stay there if you're on alice and i'm sorry i'm going to kick you out prematurely and we're gonna go ahead and get clear that'll be um so strategic planning next steps so there's an rfp in board docs for you uh this so i'm looking for your

feedback on this i would like to get moving sooner than later on this i really would like this to be something that's in front of the board january february at the latest and in order to do that we have to select somebody i i feel like by september i think get good proposals uh by august 19th i already had two companies approached me about wanting to be in the pool and wanting to put in an rfp i feel like does this uh does this look like a reasonable timeline i think allison has started caution we want to make sure we spend the time on the data yeah i would say it's probably going to just depend because the data collection and like gathering all of that is going to fall on administration we're just getting

back to school in september you know like just getting so i wouldn't want to feel like oh my gosh i can't leave my desk tonight because i don't have this done when i'm doing oh my gosh yes and i don't want it to feel i don't want this to feel rushed i want it's thoughtful i want as we've talked about tonight to make sure we're getting feedback from all the people we needed and we're getting data that is meaningful data and really digging deep into what the data is telling us and where we need to um i agree doctor show just a quick question this is juarez of course um do i'm just looking at your draft there of the rfp um is that enough time between october to december for for data collection and

analysis and focus groups i i don't know i haven't been through uh strategic planning for the school district before and maybe my fellow board members there have been there and can chime in and what has been done in the past but is that does that give us enough time is there enough time between october through december to have that data collection meeting focus groups and all that put together well i think that's sort of the question that were do we want to extend that october to january and plan to bring a first draft of february do we want to leave it as is and let the company let us just sort of see how it plays out with the understanding that it might take a little bit longer it might move more quickly depending on

how we're scheduling those i'm happy to move it to october to january we'll get actually some good data in january um that might be worth considering so if we feel like that gives us a little bit more time that is not going to make or break us one way or the other i mean i think we don't want to improve our strategic plan likely in june because that doesn't give us much time but march we're still we still got a couple months yet so i think having a a draft plan to the board just so leave the timeline and understand that you don't have enough time i'm comfortable with that and i think whoever will get higher is tell us whether it's realistic or not yeah say well i'm certain i'll let us know and

we will be a part of that right like how involved does the board want to be and if the board wants to be super involved that might mean we're going to have to push it back uh you know how many meetings do we need all of those um do you want to interview the consultants so the proposals are due august 19. we can bring the consultants to the board and you can interview them and decide who you want to choose or the choice might be really clear at the outset and forward with a recommendation to me it is really really really important that the board trusts the facilitator of this process uh so what would you prefer would it be possible to have the if they do presentations do them at a meeting and that

way any board member that could go to that yet can come and then it comes so it's not part of a monthly board meeting necessarily where we're listening to three different 20-minute presentations and i definitely think we're choosing the top two maybe three i mean i don't see very six people right okay yeah all right so we will do it as a committee meeting optional attendance for the board [Music] so let's cross that bridge when we come to it the point is we're going to have them come i'll talk a little bit more to you allison about how we want that and we'll have that okay good keeping the timeline as it is and we're going to have presentations from the consultants and we are going to complete the strategic planning process very uh without

feeling rushed but in a good spot all right so the next piece that is a part of this puzzle um is the board retreat uh i i do have a lot of additional board feedback that you know i think it would definitely uh be worthwhile for us to discuss and talk about um plus just other items so when i started there was a feeling that yes this is something that they wanted and i want to first of all verify that that's what we think this is something that we want and something that we need a word or treat yes all right uh if this is something that we want in something that we need uh which i agree um what are some critical things put in that mortgage i think of facilitators yes i agree

i think facilitator will be very helpful and that will allow me to be more active the facilitator will also make a difference whether or not we have a closed executive session or an open session so feedback on that do you want to talk a little bit about that allison so if we were to go with someone from iasb which is who we have facilitate last time it can occur in close executive session if we were to choose an outside facilitator or a facilitator that that is that is what they do facilitate meetings between company boards and and educational boards then that would uh more than likely have to be an open session i think we need to have a targeted we need to know agree what we're actually going to talk about because i'm not

personally i i wasn't a real fan of the last time we had one not that the facility was bad but i just think there was too many underlying issues and if we need a focused area that we stick to and do they agree that that's what we're going to do i like that let's let's talk to the facilitator piece a little bit more do you want to have an iasb facilitator that would allow us to have conversations close which is obviously going to perhaps allow for more difficult conversations than we can have it open that being said we're having a conversation right now and open that i think is productive and valuable um if you don't go with iasb we have more flexibility in terms of the facilitators we can have if we go with

our asb we have that opportunity to really i think engage deeply on some issues thoughts on that if we go with an outside facilitator there may be more opportunity for flexibility for time date iasv is very like yeah we've got this day or we've got this thing um so that might not work with everybody's schedule but i do think discussing as a board it would be easier to discuss hard topics more difficult topics if it were in closed session i honestly don't think a retreat in open session i don't think we're going to be able to say the things that needed that at times uh and find out who um is available what sorts of time frames are available i am thinking we're doing an evening retreat we could do something on saturday i know

evening is that what we're thinking uh we could do something in like an afternoon people have flexibility i would say evening first saturday second priority first saturday second yeah i'm good with that all right evening first saturday second isp i will get some times and we will go from there so back to matt's question and maybe this is something i want to think about and email me directly what do you want to see on that board retreat what needs to be there to create our focus and i mean what we want to do right is best work together to be that single voice uh at the same time you know representing real diversity diversity of constituents diversity of reasoning on the board but making sure we're making choices and best interests of students so that

we're supporting the staff and do you think you could send us you've been through this and probably have many different ideas that we've been through can you send us some thanksgiving i would be happy to do that i would be happy to do that if that would be helpful maybe that's what i'll do maybe in the next board update here are some possible directions you can go with this board retreat i love that idea all right so uh i'm sending out the rfp doing all these pieces with the board tree uh and everyone's gonna spend some time reflecting again a little bit more feedback and thinking about gaps holes things like that uh as we work to fill that as we begin here process other thoughts comments questions like that when we get to the

point of the strategic plan um i don't have any great ideas on this or any idea whether it be great or poor um is trying to find individuals that haven't typically volunteered for things so that way um you know having people different possibly then or or last time there are always some individuals that are happy you know like have to be on there um but uh i think just yeah yeah new voices the opportunity participate in something that maybe they didn't know existed last year any other thoughts comments feedback all right my last question and i was gonna have us do this on like a little sticky note board but since there's not that many no [Laughter] uh what did you like i believe much of what i thought was reinforced by your findings that's

energy i like that you didn't rush you've been doing these for 45 days and putting everything together so i appreciate the time that you spent to really gather it really seemed to listen and then you took all the feedback you really i liked how casual it felt it felt casual you kind of walked around we could ask questions as you were talking i like the fact there are a lot of diversity of opinions everybody listened i mean there was no there were time to disagree could be some time down the road but i mean i think everybody was very respectful and we'll see the opinions different viewpoints and observations and i think that's that's that's a good thing [Laughter] for supporting as we look ahead to doing this more right i think we did this

again i think having a few things to focus on was a good thing that way you're not you don't have six pages to go through i mean this time there were basically two or three items for the most part and you know an hour or something like that i think that that was a good anything you'd like me to do differently and like to see us stupid right now can't think of me it's okay if you can so i don't and you gotta you gotta tell me too what's on your minds i wanted to be as effective as possible uh so you gotta tell me if there's something sitting in the back of your mind let me know so we can work on it and keep making it as effective as it can for us

oh thank you so much for all of your time and thoughts this time does anyone else have any other questions comments concerns do i have a motion to adjourn motion to adjourn remember her made the motion of number secret second of the motion to adjourn all those in favor i meeting adjourned at 7 39 pm where he wants to go
