It's all ready. Um, so we'll be uh doing our um organizational uh chair uh vice chair clerk all of our board seats. So, I guess I will call for nominations for board chair. >> Chair Clatt, I'd like to nominate Gary [clears throat] Schindler for chair. >> Okay, Gary. Gary, are you willing to serve if elected? >> I'm willing and able. >> Okay. Okay. Is there any others? >> Um, I would like to nominate Dave Clatt if you're willing to continue. >> I'd be willing. All right. Usually that's we go to two. Is there any others though? I will ask. All right. Do you have the ballots? All right. I have uh three votes for Dave Clatt and two votes for Gary Schindler for chair. >> What's that? have five for Dave and two for >>

Okay, I look for um motion then for vice chair. >> I nominate Gary Schindler for vice chair. Is there any any other nominations? Any other nominations? Seeing none, then I would uh cast unanimous vote for Gary, vice chair. >> Okay. Okay. Uh, clerk nominations for clerk. >> I nominate Angie to continue as clerk. >> Are you willing? I should ask Gary that before. [laughter] My bad. >> Okay. >> Um, I'm willing to continue unless somebody else would like the spot. Okay. Is there any other nominations in it? Clerk. Any other nominations at clerk? And any other nominations at clerk? Seeing none, then I would uh cast an anonymous yay vote or yes vote for Angie Hoffman. Okay. Uh, treasure nominations. >> I nominate Mary Joe. >> Okay. Mary Joe, are you willing? >> Sure. >>

Fingers and toes, right? [laughter] >> Yeah. There you go. Any other nominations for treasure? Any other nominations? All right, I'll go to two on that one. Seeing none, then I would Oh, y the other. Okay, I would cast unanimous for Mary Joe for treasure and uh uh Kim, Neil, and Davey then as directors. Thank you. All right, let's uh look at our standing committees. And I think I'm going to ask on the three committees that people are on if there's any that people would like to uh step down, move around, um not do too time consuming, anything like that that we should make a chair or I'm sorry, may make a change. >> I think as treasure I'd like to be on finance. Okay. Anyone uh this line off finance you well I would uh

>> would be too many. >> Yeah. Yeah. 4 >> B. >> Okay. So, Neil said he would move for Mary Joe. Is there anyone else that would like finance or policy? Mary Joe, would you like to stay on facilities then also or any others you would want to if >> you want to go on facilities? >> Oh, I'm sorry. Facilities would be fine. That makes sense. >> Okay. >> No. Perfect. Any other changes on committees that anyone would like to do? Okay. Without any uh changes, um then looks like finance would be um Gary, if you would like to say the chair of that too, that would be awesome. Mary, Joe, and myself. And um policy will will still be Kim if you would like to be the chair. Okay. And then Gary and Angie.

And then facilities would be Davey. Can you do the chair yet? Okay. >> Sure. >> And Neil and Angie >> on the facilities. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Yep. Okay. Okay. Uh down below are for boards, agencies, and committees. Anybody feeling any >> chair caught? We can take for now business education off. That is kind of um the chamber doesn't have that running currently. >> Oh, they don't? No. Okay. >> So, when they if they start it up again, I can let the group know, but that committee is not meeting, so we can take that off. >> Okay. I'm sure they'd probably keep in touch with you if they did that when they Good. Good. Okay. someone would explain explain to me the 1A and Minnesota State High School League committee. I'm listed there

and as I understood I was not a part of that last year at least for the Minnesota State High School League. I didn't go to any meetings when I was a and I wasn't never contacted. [snorts] >> Good. I could speak from my past experience. Uh, director score I I believe uh that is we have a board member responsible for establishing any committees if if there's a appeal or an eligibility concern locally. You would be in charge of uh conducting that. Um the 1A representative rotates, right? Um, and that would be a an administrator, a board member, and and so that's a a non board assigned duty. >> That's so that is the that is the position that I occupied, I believe, as far as 2024. >> Correct. Now, this title would just be for

our local um need for if there's an appeal or representation in that regard. >> That was probably explained to me last year, but it slipped my mind. [clears throat] No, it's a tough it's a tough thing because we have to say one of you is that rep. >> Okay. >> And then really you're only used if there's a dispute somewhere. So if you if you forget it and you're not used all year, that's generally a good thing. >> A good thing. Yeah. Well, I'm not opposed to being uh uh involved with anything that that concerns the Minnesota Minnesota State High School. You have a long association with that outfit. used to be a little bit of a feeder too into the actual board of directors up there, but that is probably a little bit more

political than what we know that we want to guess at. So, Kim, didn't you hand out medals that one year? And any um other interests down there in the uh different committees. >> I'd like to stay in the curriculum committee. I feel like I just Me too. >> Yeah. >> I also tried to attend the meeting during the snowstorm and nobody was present. So I made every effort to get back >> the Austin Albertly special ed. That's not me. Are these Did they ever meet >> Well, quarterly and maybe Zoom. Is that right? It's all on Zoom and I honestly don't do a good job of getting to those. Um, so if someone wants to take my spot, they certainly can. They are interesting meetings when you do attend. >> So, and C recently changed

its name. I didn't catch it. I looked at it and didn't think about the name change. So, C is actually schools advocating for fair funding. So, it's safe SAFF. We'll get that changed on there. Um, I attended I missed the one in December because we had a school event going on at the same time, but um [clears throat] I went to the first one. So uh uh safe is um does similar work to um ma >> so we belong to both so we can kind of get the policy from both of them. I'd be willing to be the first and then if you want to be my backup. Would that work? >> Just switch those two. >> Okay. Any other changes down there anyone would like to take a look at? I'm wondering down here.

Looks like uh the media center is at Darcy is at me and Angie's been there three years and Neil won. So I then I'll ask if any would like to replace Angie since she's been on there. It's a two-year term. All right, take it back. No, there's no changes there because she's in her second year of her second two-year term. So my bad on that one. We're okay. And then Davey and I switched halfway through just because it was easier for me to get to the meetings since I'm retired at noon. So, uh, I'm the board member representing the district for the state grants at the collaborative. >> Yep. And then I can just remain as backup. Yep. Just that's what we did. Yep. >> Okay, that's perfect. >> Okay. So that's the changes down

there. Darc, did you catch? We didn't really do much. Okay. Any other questions or thoughts before we move on from there? Right. So I will take one motion then to approve the um slate of officers and standing committees and the boards agencies um as discussed. >> So move. >> Is there a second? >> Second. >> Any other discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor signify by saying I. >> I oppose the same sign. Okay, that passes 7 to zero. Then we have the um schoolboard meeting schedule. And if you have one, I mean really you see they're all at five except for that uh truth and taxation is at six o'clock. And we've got a couple uh two or three Tuesdays on there when we have school breaks. Any meeting any um questions on that

at all? Okay. And I think that we need a motion to accept this schoolboard meeting schedule as printed. >> So >> is there a second? >> Second. >> Is there any discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor signify by saying I. I oppose the same sign. Okay. Under uh five um you got 5-1 through 5-9. Um different resolutions on here basically naming uh the the different banks, uh newspapers, things like that. Uh authorizing Dr. Hy Paul Durman, director of finance to uh do our operations, safety purchases, contracts. Any questions on any of those? Okay. Um, seeing none, I would take a um a motion to accept as printed. >> Is there a second? >> Second. >> Is there any discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor signify by saying I. >> I oppose the same

sign. Okay. Well, that takes us to the back page. Um, just to make a comment as I get to that. Um, again, we got uh MSBA going on on the uh 16th and 17th. I think we're up there on the 15th. Do you you got everything set up for that, Dar? >> Good job. Any thoughts or questions on what's going on? We got some good early bird sessions. Um they've added a couple things uh this year to uh change it up a little bit. Be sure you come to my director district meeting. I'm running for reelection. Um I did put out a newsletter today on that. So, but uh no. Um we're hoping everything's going to be like it was in the past down on the bottom level. all the meetings and everything except on

that we'll call the main mezzanine I think they call level is where we'll have our opening and closing meetings and then the um the lunchon is up there and the lunchon is now changed to a uh late afternoon meal >> Wednesday evening is >> yes Wednesday evening yep yep and then after that they have the dueling pianos so and I'm not playing this year or anytime in the future My mom would be proud. >> Will you be going up early? >> Yes, I have Tuesday noon meeting, I believe it is. Yeah. But if we wanted to anybody ride together? >> Yeah. Well, I I'll probably drive. I have in the past. >> Do you any obligations during the >> No, not >> Oh, you're good. Go ahead. >> No driving. >> I have I block

those dates off from my appreciating calendar. [laughter] do not have to dart off to Jackson, Minnesota >> and they come back >> and then come back in prison. >> They always like it. >> So yeah, I'll be at what time if if I serve as a >> I can't remember the time. I remember mine. >> How about if I just work? >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Okay. [clears throat] Any other questions on that? There's going to be a beautiful weather this year. >> Looks like >> there definitely is. I'll be in Florida. >> Yeah, that's I know for you. >> Florida. >> All right. Well, seeing nothing else on the agenda, um next meeting is uh Tuesday the 20th of January and uh that'll be our regular meeting. And then uh after that it'll be

February 2nd, February 17th. Um with nothing else, thanks for coming. Happy New Year. I look forward to a an interesting this year, but not with quite as many meetings as we had coming into this year. But it was a great year. We it was it was a lot of fun and thanks for all the participation and this another one of those years. >> [snorts]
