That's right. We figured Hallelujah. Oh yeah. Unbelievable. Yes. Good morning. It's October, right? It's so good. Go see him if I work here. Get serve. Calling all board members, please come to the table. Let's get started. >> I don't want to hit the All right. Thank you guys for coming. I'm sorry we're a little delayed, but we'll go ahead and get started. We will start with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right, we will start with our recognitions. And starting us off is Dr. Dawson with Tiger Paw. >> Hello. >> Okay. I am happy to present to you Mr. Randy Gil House. He is
in our four or five preschool classroom. Miss Brook's uh he's in Miss Mariah Chevia's class, but he was nominated by Miss Dana Friend, who is our related arts teacher. She is our teacher who teaches music and library and motor lab and art. And so I would like to read to you why she nominated Randy for our portrait of a grad collaborative student. She said, "I chose Randy to be my portrait of a graduate this month because he is a team player. He shows what it means to be collaborative every time he comes to my related arts classes. He is a great partner during motor lab class. He always plays nicely and works with his partner to complete their station together. I have library and art stations set up and Randy always collaborates with other students
in his group by modeling what is expected at the station and taking turns to complete the task at hand. During music class, he collaborates by working with the whole group with his singing, doing the actions and playing the instruments. He works hard to make sure the songs sound great by participating and following along with the group. Randy works great in a group and I can always count on him to be a team player. And so Miss Friend sees every single student at Tigerpaw and she chose Mr. Randy Gilda House for this honor. So [applause] >> good evening. Uh joining me tonight is third grader Quinton Dyke, who will represent North Elementary as our collaborative student of the month. And his teacher, Miss Olsson, will share a few words of how he earned this great honor.
Hello. Thank you. Um, I had a whole long speech planned, but then Dr. Wallace told me this morning, I need to keep it to a tight 30 seconds. So, using my revising and editing skills that we do in third grade, I was able to pair it down a bit for you. Um, what I can say about Quinton is he is an amazing student. Truly, truly kind. Um, it doesn't matter who I pair him with or what I ask him to do. He does a great job collaborating with despite people's abilities or inabilities and he is able to not only share his thinking but also learn from others and he just does an amazing job in my class every single day. Thank you. [applause] >> Good evening. I am very honored and proud to bring Corbin
Scott to the board today for our portrait of a graduate for collaboration and Mamas is here to show on his behalf. Hopefully, good evening. I'll try to keep it short, but this is hard because I could just go on and on about my students and I love the opportunities that I get to share with you guys. So Corbin was our collaborative student of the month, just not in our classroom, but also within our school. He was not only chosen by myself, but multiple staff members who saw the [clears throat] exact same qualities that I see every day in this kiddo. When I think about collaboration, collaborative kiddos, I always think of almost all of our graduate words. Um, he shows responsibility, respect, resilience, and flexibility. Just to name a few, he models this collaboration and
action every day. He knows when to step up to lead, when it's time to follow. He encourages others and he demonstrates a strong work ethic and he contributes to making our positive place where everyone can feel safe, learn, and grow. One of the things I admire most about him is his willingness to step outside of his comfort zone. And that's hard He's willing to try new ideas. He takes on unfamiliar roles in group work. And by that he models to our class that it's okay to take risks and we learn from our mistakes. So these are just a few of the qualities that I see in him. [applause] Good evening. Um I am here to present East Elementary student of the month, Mr. JJ Lozano. He um his teacher here is Miss Carrie Rainey uh
for third grade. So she has some words to celebrate him. Uh JJ is a great example of so many portrait of a graduate traits, but collaborative is one that definitely stands out. He's an active listener. I make sure I look at him when I read stories out loud because you can tell he is enjoying it. I love it. Um he shows genuine interest in others when they speak. He's an amazing helper to teachers and other students. And he always uses kind, encouraging words when helping classmates. JJ shows kindness to everyone he comes into contact with. He's a wonderful example to everyone around him. And I consider him I consider myself very lucky to have him in my class. But I think the thing that sums this up best is when he was chosen for Top
Top Tiger, his classmates saw him on the announcements. He came back, they were unprompted, they cheered for him, they clapped for him, and I just think that says more about his character than I ever could. He's wonderful. Thank you. [applause] Good evening. Representing West Elementary, we have Payton Waldridge. He is a third grade student in Miss Parnell's class. And this is what she had to say about Payton. Payton is a highly collaborative student who thrives when working with others. Pton is always listening, actively, openly sharing ideas, and always willing to help not only his teacher, but his friends as well. Whether it is group work or class discussion, Payton ensures everyone's voice is heard and valued. Payton, we are very proud of you. [applause] All right, good evening. Uh, MS is proud to present McKenzie
Wittenberger as our collaborative student. Um, as we put the names of our fifth and sixth grade students in front of the team, so elective teachers and also leadership team, McKenzie's name was one that came to the top several several times. And when we mentioned uh her team, team impact, they were just as delighted because they thought just how deserving she is for that award. And so I'm allowed her science teacher, Miss Eberart, to speak to some of those items. >> All right, Miss McKenzie. this girl, she is just an overall wonderful human being. Uh she consistently demonstrates kindness and goodness and she never has an unkind word to say about anyone. She can successfully work with any group, any kid, uh whether it's in her home room or outside of her home room. It doesn't
matter. It is going to be a positive experience for everybody. Her attitude and teamwork skills shine brightly and she is a wonderful example of what it means to be a collaborative learner and a great friend. >> [applause] >> Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a junior high teacher. Um you know this is a unique uh award because it's not depicted on you know a student's performance on grades or you know their behavior or how they treat this uh teachers which is important. However uh we think at the Ozark Junior High the true character is how they treat each other, how they work with each other. what kind of uh influence do they have on their student and uh their class? And this young lady, whether she wants have it or not, she has that label and we're
very grateful to have her at Ozark Junior High. >> So, I'm going to say a few words about Kenzie Wler. So, what we love about Kenzie is how she makes collaboration look easy. She's skilled at talking things out and listening to others opinions. She's wonderful at making sure no one feels left out and everyone gets a chance to shine. Kenzie is a natural leader whose best quality is her ability to connect and work with absolutely everyone. We are incredibly proud of Kenzie and the positive example she sets for her classmates. Her collaborative spirit truly exemplifies the high achieving and supportive environment we strive for in the Ozark School District. [applause] Um, if Gavin promises not to tell the other students at Finley, um, I am confident that if the teachers got to elect, uh, their
favorite student, they would elect Gavin Williams um, student of the month every month because he's absolutely uh, a pleasure to have in your class and in your building and in your school. Uh so much so that Gavin represents Finley and Ozark High School on the gossd um Growl group. Um and uh he is the student that I would most like to have representing Finley uh because of his behaviors and the way he treats people and um how well spoken and intelligent he is. Um Gavin plans on attending um a trade school and then um pulling electrical wire and wiring buildings uh in the future. And whoever ends up hiring Gavin is going to have uh a great worker and a great person. >> Good, good, good. [applause] >> Tonight, OHS is uh proud to recognize
sophomore Brock Ber for uh the trait of collaboration. And here to say a few words is his strategies teacher, Miss Veronica Matteo Marino. >> Good evening everyone. It is my honor to recognize Brock Boher as a Oar High School portray of a graduate for collaboration. Brock is the kind of a student every teacher hopes to have. Someone that always is willing to help and collaborate in class. Someone who not only works hard but also lifts others up along the way. Over this past year, Brock has saw remarkable growth both academically and personally. He approached every challenges with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and he never hesitates to lend a helping hand to his classmates or even his teachers. In a group activities, Brock naturally becomes the glue that brings peoples together. He listens
to others ideas and guards his peers and helps make sure everyone feels valued. Miss Farooqi saw him making sure his peers are on track on the signments or projects distributing roles and tax and keeping everyone on the task. Also, I remember how you and Lenny help each other to study and review for a test. That was amazing. and his genuine respect for others and his ability to communicate effectively make every member of the team feel a strong part of it. But what stand out most about Brock is his heart >> has he has not helped others because he has to. He does it because he cares and it is really because he has an enormous heart. His kindness, honesty, humbleness and teamwork make him a model of what Osar portray for graduates represents. Brock, your
growth and your spirit of collaboration inspired not only your peers but also your teachers. We are proud of the person you are becoming and the positive impact you make every day at OSA classes on the high school and the impact that you are going to do for sure in this community. Congratulations. [applause] All right. The next item on our agenda would be requests for public comment, but we did not have anyone sign up, so we'll keep moving. Next isformational items. First listed is uh donor recognition and Dr. Gray. >> Thank you. So, uh, policy KH, which is gifts to schools. Um, something that Dr. Wilson had talked to me about wanting to start is an actual recognition and having those schools, our buildings, the directors and principles kind of fill something out to us that
we can bring to you um, per our policy so that if they wish they could be recognized um, at a board meeting by the board, we do give them the option um, if they wish to remain anonymous, that's a possibility as well. But you'll see we have five tonight um that we have various donors and two of those were from Yapoa. Uh I think Mr. Perry wanted to make sure he had one earlier in the summer that he wanted to make sure uh receive board attention because they wish to wish to have this opportunity to be recognized. So with that we had five. Do you all have any questions on those very stoner recognitions? No, we just appreciate them and we appreciate you. >> All right. Thank you all. >> I will say if you
POAS out there uh see Tigerpaw PTA or Ozark Rotary Lowe's, thank you all so much for your donation. Your your support of the uh district here. Appreciate it. >> And our own Dustin Kirkman on Rotary. Thank you. >> All right. Next item is the lawyer you can or governor workforce of the future. Is that Dr. Carson? >> So this past week the uh governor's office uh issued uh their findings or their recommendations from the executive order. Uh he gave this executive order the first week he was in office between industry and the department of elementary and secondary ed and the uh department of higher ed and workforce development. And it was to create a task force to strengthen Missouri's career and technical education and to strengthen the state's workforce pipeline. Uh if you remember, Governor
Parsons and Teresa Parsons served on the board of JAG. And so this is a continuation of just how do we uh fit career and technical ed and uh those students not going into potential college? How do they uh how do we lift them up? Governor Kho himself only holds a high school diploma uh from uh Charminade College Prep in St. Louis. And so he uh recognizes that uh high school to workforce is a pipeline that is good for our economy and for some students. So the goal of this task force was to elevate the workforce pipeline and lift the role of career and teched courses. I served on this working group and we sent three recommendations or recommended priority areas to the governor and he has identified them as targets for uh improvement of the
state. And so I want to celebrate you all and the strategic plan that our community made with our uh with our staff members and uh with the board because if you look at the three uh can I'm sorry can you pull those up? I didn't look to see if you pulled those up. So, if you look at those three recommendations, uh strengthen the workbased learning, employer engagement, and workforce development, expand early career exploration, school counseling and advising, and then uh about to have a strategic communication and marketing. So, you can go ahead and go to that next one. So, these are aligned with our strategic plan. Uh even today uh we had our uh business breakfast. Well, the business breakfast fits right in with his recommendation about we strengthen work-based learning, employer engagement, workforce development.
Uh expanding apprenticeships. This year we expanded to our sports marketing. So we have one more apprenticeship this year than we did uh last year. uh real world learning opportunities. Today that breakfast was focusing on how can you all be involved in these real world learning opportunities, more partnerships with uh businesses. Uh you can go to that next slide. So our workforce for the future. So how do we expand early career exploration? Well, in our strategic plan, we have a whole committee that's looking at real world learning uh preK12. An example of that would be uh yesterday when you all were at the ribbon cutting, we saw students who were dressed up like policemen and firefighters. school. It was the culmination of the preschool um community helper unit and they spent three weeks uh looking at
uh community helpers. They had a big rig night with the community so people could come in and students could look at the big rigs and look at careers. They heard from uh dentists. They heard from policemen, firemen. All of this kind of work fits into what the governor is recommending for the state and it's already a piece of what we do and uh Dr. Wilson is heading the uh real world learning committee and her committee along with Sarah Brockmeer is her main person. She and Sarah are looking right now at what are we doing real world learning and how can we strengthen that and it fits in right with what our whole state is doing. You can go to that last uh slide there. Uh and then the uh workforce of the future they want
to ex uh they want to increase communication in marketing CTE and uh what we have been trying to do here even with the OIC is to increase in uh visibility of our CTE courses to make sure we have real world learning going on to increase the number of students in our CTE pathways and that's really tied into all of themies. So the things that uh they are recommending are parts of our strategic plan and they're what Ozark school district is doing for the next five years. And so I just want to celebrate that uh our our diploma and MVA and how it is really highlighting those uh market value assets of students. So they walk across the diploma and they have something that's of market value that somebody wants. And that's what we want for
our students is for them to leave with work experience and entrepreneurial experience and uh industrial recognized credentials or uh hours of college uh career. Um so I just celebrate all of those. I think one of the pieces that we'll be looking at over the next year is how do we uh really uh lift our counseling and really looking at how are we making sure that we have a good message and good advisement uh prek 12 but especially around that seven 8 n 10 what what are we doing with really helping kids know what is my next step and so uh we just I I want to celebrate that to you guys and I want to celebrate to our community that what we have chosen as a community is also what the whole state is saying
this is really really important and Governor Kho is uh said he's going to put money behind that and so we have to be ready to write the grant or to apply or to do whatever is necessary to help us uh continue with our real world learning and the uh strategies that we're using. Any questions or comments? >> Okay. >> Well, I just think it was great. The breakfast this morning was was was wonderful. Thank you for bringing the business partners in and the school board and just the community together and and seeing those that classroom yesterday at Tiger Paul of the students at Tiger Paul learning and then teaching and just being right there and having the classroom and the preschool together is just spoton. and the legislative session. Thank you for bringing those legislators
in last week and you you're probably gonna talk about >> You are still in my thunder right now. >> Go ahead. Yeah. I just I mean it's it's so important that the governor, you know, get here. So, thank you all for for having them. I have a question about the real world learning. What's the the sports marketing? Is that the presentation that we heard last week of what the kids are doing with the t-shirts and the school spirit? The sports marketing is working with his team >> to work in our sports also boards for production that pictures. >> So, it's not necessarily having to be an independent business from the community. It could be one of our businesses in here. >> Okay. Good. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Next item on the agenda are
the reports. First, we have superintendent update. >> So, I do believe that Sarah and Dr. Carson stole a little bit of my thunder. Um, so we were able to meet with, we invited in our area representatives and senator and representative Jamie Craig, Representative Bob Titus, Representative Bert Why and Senator Mike Moon both attended. Um during this meeting, we asked them about their legislative plat platforms to give us a little insight into what's going to happen in the spring and then just had a a very good conversation, a collaborative conversation on how we could support each other and how their initiatives could potentially affect the school and the concerns that we have going forward. Um, I have already received a thank you note for one of them. Uh, and they have all agreed if we can
make sure that we have the correct date of doing this again in December. We would really like to do this on a quarterly basis with them if we could. Um, this morning we did have our first uh business partnership meeting. I dubbed it as the state of the schools address and just gave them an update on where we're at as a district and talked about real world learning, talked about their finances and how that we can work together to allow our students to have opportunities uh in the future and not only from the high school standpoint, but how can we partner K12 because um I did state that the portrait of a graduate is u the north star and real world learning is just going to become a way of doing business for us. And
then uh finally, just an update, we attended the MSBA conference or some of our um executive directors attended the MSBA conference along with Sarah and it is always a great uh two days of professional learning. I always come back with some little nugget and I know that my cabinet and my group are like, "Oh, Lori, don't don't have us do that because you always have, you know, new ideas that you come back with." So, um, sorry about that for what's to come. But anyway, just wanted to say that it was a great time, uh, great time of learning and, um, well worth it. >> All right, thank you for that. Next on our list are the district reports. Um, we we appreciate them. We do. We read them. Does anybody have any questions about them?
>> It's not a question, but I will mention one thing that's on the operation side. It's kind of buried in there. A uh driver [clears throat] recognition, Clint Moore. I think they had that recognition earlier in the month, but for those who didn't know, he I think he saved a a child who was in trouble on on a bus. So, >> we appreciate that. >> [laughter] >> I'm sorry. I don't even know why I said that. That was a wonderful thing that he did and I just I'm sorry. Like yes, we appreciate that. Um yes, and thank you James for bringing it up. Next on our list are future dates. Um you can see that we do have what we have already done this week. It is a busy quarter was. All right. Next up
that what we have is our board south board walkth through our work study and then our board meeting for November. And >> session >> board work session and then a board meeting the 17th and they're one right after each other. Okay. Next is our consent agenda. I would entertain a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. >> Motion by Rayanne, second by Dustin. All in favor? Passes unanimously. Next up, we have new business. First item on the list are the MSBA policies. This is a first read. What I'd like to do here is for us to review these on our own. Anything that you do have questions about or can that we want to discuss, I have asked Lori to put those on our work study. Um, but if you do have something specific,
let's share it with her in advance so she can already go ahead and do some research on that so we can go through those at our work session. I don't want us to go to the work session with our comments. I want to be ready to talk and work through those at the work study. Some of them I've already we've already like this is the time at this board meeting to discuss these policies, right? That's first read. Well, I I think that we should read through them and bring anything. We went to the work study. Are you That's what we did the last time. >> I asked Lori about one of them this week and she I don't know if you had a chance to find out. I'm just interested to hear their >> Which
one was it? >> Uh JHDE one that was recommended not to JHDE behavioral threat assessment. And it's okay if we don't talk about it now, but I I thought we were going to talk about them. I just wanted to hear a little bit about the reasoning behind that. >> We can either talk about it now or Anna would be prepared for the 17. >> Whatever you guys want to do. >> Who? >> She's prepared either way. Anna Thurman. Dr. >> She means she'll be ready to answer. Does she know her question? >> Does she know her question? >> Oh, I didn't know that. I didn't know we were madam. >> Oh, my question was I just wanted to hear some of the perspectives on this particular one was recommended not for approval and it's on
behavioral threat assessment. I wanted to hear some of the thinking behind it. Since we our district does that, why is it that we don't want to have a policy? I'm sure there's probably good explanation. I just wanted to hear what those were and and tonight is first read. It's just when we discuss it. So, I just thought it was >> Anna is ready. We can at your direction. We can either Anna can talk about it tonight or we can talk about it on the 17th. >> Well, it's on the agenda for tonight. So, >> is she prepared to talk about it tonight? I don't want to take anybody off guard. >> Yeah, >> she's prepared. I just know she didn't she didn't know she was going to speak, but >> I said for her to
have this stuff together and to prepare be prepared if she was called to speak to either be prepared tonight or the 17th. >> Thank you. So, this one is uh it it was offered up before. I'm not sure why it was not one that we adopted in 2022. Um so, behavior risk assessments are not a um requirement, but we have to have a process. And so, we we do behavior risk assessments. We've had a process that really aligns because we did it through the Center for Educational Safety. So, it does align. It looks very close to this. Behavior risk assessments are in a lot of the policies, several of them that you all are are looking at. So, it's not that we're not doing them or they're not addressed in policy. It says we have
to have them, that we have to provide them when record requests are made or we have to ask for them. The procedure itself, although it is aligned with what we're doing currently, if we changed any part of what we do, we would then have to come back to you and ask to change the policy. So, right now, we have a team. It says in here you'll have certain people on your team. So, if we had a different team configuration, we would have to get that changed. So, I didn't see a need to have um a procedure written to address that because it isn't isn't a requirement, but it is something that we do currently do and it is in all of the other policies that we provide that to in the case of a suicide
assessment, things like that. It is in the other policies that we we have that requirement. follow that. >> Thanks. >> So your your recommendation is not to adopt this. >> My recommendation would be not to only because it's a procedure now and if we did tweak that at all, we would be coming back to you. Um it is something we do. So I mean it's not that it would be adding work to anyone because we do it already. It would just hold us to what they want us to do in that process, which like I said is very similar to what we do now. We worked with the Center for Educational Safety to come up with our plan a couple of years ago, even maybe three. So, it's something we've been doing for a long
time. >> So, are there some parts of this policy that you would are there some part Sorry, I don't know if you can hear me. Are there some parts that you would say, well, let's just leave those out, but everything else is general. Are there too are there some parts that are too specific? Is that what you're saying? >> Well, I don't know that they're too specific. I just don't know that they are 100% exactly how we do it now. So, we would need to change something. Either we would need to rewrite some of this or rewrite some of our procedure. >> Our team does a really good job with the procedure we have now. So, that's why I didn't feel like >> we would want to change what they're doing to match this. If
we don't have to, >> I was thinking we should adapt this to fit what fits for our school. You know, if you all felt strongly that we needed to have it in policy. >> The what she's talking about is it's a procedure and sometimes MSBA I think as you guys have all noted that sometimes their MSBA policies are written as a procedure and we just never want to adopt procedures. We will adopt the policies and we feel that this is written as a procedure. >> That makes sense. Thank you. >> Oops. Next item of new business is the e-graate program. E-Rate program. So I will entertain a motion to approve this program to provide counseling service to assist Ozark schools um with securing -ate funding as stated in the attached agreement. So I'll entertain a
motion. Second >> motion by Dustin, second by James. Now we'll discuss. So - program LLC is a firm, a consulting firm that will provide some assistance as we try to get our -ate funding annually through that. That is a program for public entities for schools and libraries typically to have infrastructure improvements through various category 1 or category 2 eligible funding um mechanisms. And we've noticed um from Dr. Dr. Hedgeorth to myself. I've talked a lot with him during this transition and it was pretty difficult for both of us to try to make sure we're getting all the required paperwork and I think something that I'd had at a previous district. We actually worked with the same company and they were very very easy to work with and really made this process much more easier for
us as an organization, a school district and can help us ensure that we do get that maximum allocation that they give us for these rate fundings over the fiveyear cycles that they are. And so you'll see in the in the agreement that is a what we would do is it's a $1,500 annual fee and then that 10% of what we would collect is what they kind of the agreement that we give to them. Um very similar to some various other services um that we use um MSBA for for some billing billing things that we do here in district. but uh just would be a big help to make sure that we don't have any issues and don't miss out on any of these funding opportunities to improve our network infrastructure here at Ozark schools. >>
So, just to just to clarify there, we're we're hiring them to help us [clears throat] get free money. >> Yes. Okay. >> Yes. And it's a very um I think as this program has gone on, especially in today's world with federal funding, as we all know, that's kind of tightening up a little bit. And um those uh stipulations is probably the best way to say it, that they have in place are uh enforced probably a little more strictly than they have been in the past. And they've uh got a ton of people who have done this - funding, applying for those and all the various paperwork that's required. They've got a lot of uh experience in the past of how to apply for this money. Um a lot like grant writing. Um they're kind of
like expert grant writers in the world of Vray is kind of probably the easiest way to think about it. >> Thank you. >> Any other questions from the board? >> It says 10%. Is it five or 10% for the >> It should be 10%. Y >> and then $1,500 annually. Yeah. But we do have um the opportunity by July one of each year to let them know that we would like to do that. We always have the opportunity to do that on our own if at any time we feel like that's something that we can start taking on. But at this time, um we all feel like that would be what's best to make sure we don't miss out on all that funding. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Sorry. Uh, next item under new
business. Um, I would entertain a motion to approve theou with burough behavioral health. Second. >> All right. Motion by Matt, second by James, and we are ready for you now. >> Um, I am asking that we approve anou between us and Burl for an E, which is an independent educational evaluation. Parents have the right to request an independent evaluation if they disagree with one of our evaluations, and we have to choose an agency to complete that. Uh, we give a chooses and that becomes a joint agreement that that would be completed by that agency. >> This just this just makes Burl one of those choices. >> That's correct. We give them a list and then they choose and then we go under. >> Okay. >> Oh, so we have a list of other >> providers.
We provide a list of providers that can do those types of evaluations. Um, not every place has the ability to do, for example, a visually impaired evaluation. So, we would have to provide specific ones in every one of the areas. >> So, this is just one of the ones on that list. >> Yeah. Cox is on it. Mercy's on it. Burl's on it. Any type of agency? >> Yep. I do. [laughter] >> Well, it just looks like we're making an agreement with this one. >> Correct. It does because the parent has chose that. So, we want to go into that agreement. I see. It's a joint connector together. >> I do have a question about the >> end of it. The travel fee. >> It's a $100 an hour for any place that's more than
a 40-minute round trip from their location on West Battlefield. That's Ozark. >> That's pretty typical of agencies. >> That's what I wondered. How does that compare with the other ones? But I guess if we have several different agencies to choose from, this is not the only one. >> Correct. And we want them to do the service here. We want that we want that evaluation to be done in our location because it matters differently than it would be if you were at the clinic for example there. So we want it to be done in our setting, right? And control that. But that's very typical anymore of agencies. They all have a travel fee that comes along with it for services. >> Thanks. >> Any other questions? >> Knowing that it's not the only one makes it
a lot better. Next up is our lighting bid. I would entertain a motion. >> Thank you. All right. >> What do you mean? >> Thank you. As you know, we've been working on a lighting bid with auditory for the last couple of months. We were finally able to release an RFP earlier in the month. We advertised for two weeks, put on the website, and also sent three different RFPs to the lighting companies. We did receive one. Uh Miss Williams has worked with the company. She likes the bid and uh this will be paid for through bond proceeds. So I would recommend that we uh approve ATC for the new lighting for the high school auditorium. >> Yes, sir. >> The house lighting we have contracted it out. We're waiting for the panels to come in
to upgrade the house lighting. This one is probably going to be December before we get it installed. So, Miss Williams is going to have to rent for production in November. >> Yes, sir. >> Is the sound system on track for November? >> The sound system hopefully is installed. They started this week, >> so they hope to tune it next week to train, have a training for our people next week and be ready for the play at this time. >> It should be very good. >> All right, any other questions? All right. Thank you for that. And thank you for doing it so quickly. >> Yes. >> Thank you for doing that so quickly. We appreciate it. >> All right. All in favor? Passes unanimously. Guys, guess what's next? >> I'll entertain a motion. >> Motion.
>> All right. Do we have to vote on that? All right. James, I need a second. >> Second. >> All in favor? All right. Thank you guys for coming. We appreciate you. >> Oh my gosh, it's a minute before 8.
