002speakers and only allowing one person inside at a time now the school said it expects three main topics to come up during public discussion the mass policy transgender policy and critical race theory the superintendent actually announced last week that everyone will have to wear masks inside regardless of vaccination status that's after northern virginia health directors sent a letter recommending that change for the transgender policy the virginia department of education says school districts are required to adopt some kind of policy to comply with the new state law that memo to school systems came after lcps teacher tanner cross spoke out against it in may then was suspended then filed a lawsuit and then was reinstated we spoke with two parents from the opposing rallies who feel passionately about their stance and i'm a christian mom and
003i believe in what god has said how he created us male and female and we respect everyone just as we should respect everybody but i also am gonna i'm here to talk about hb 257 because now that boys and girls are allowed to mix bathrooms my daughter may not be safe in any of those bathrooms i do care about equity for all school about all school children and i believe that if we protect transgender students and students of color we protect all students so we can make sure that we have equity in our schools without taking anything away now when it comes to critical race theory the superintendent has said that they are not teaching it so it's a moot point for now and we'll be out here throughout that entire meeting monitoring it and
