We believe that Northeast Elementary is an amazing school and we don't know not just only we think it we have been an A-rated school for the past four years and we have worked extremely hard to achieve that impact. >> We also know that the bar is getting raised and so we're going to have to work even harder and be more strategic in what we do. So we are looking at every bit of instruction and how we can support instruction, how we have our leaders being able to support u what is happening in the classroom so that we can continue to help students achieve higher and higher um growth and higher and higher um points of achievement. So we're excited about what we are doing for students

002academically. All right. >> L Y L L Y. What does L Y mean? Y'all know going to be. >> This is kind of a tricky one. You're >> I believe what makes Northeast Elementary extremely special is we are resilient. No matter what happens, we say, "Hey, let's look outside the box. Let's create a solution. Um let's pick ourselves back up and keep on going because we want the very best for Northeast Elementary students." >> Do you have a complete sentence? A part of that best is providing an incredible experience for students. This is elementary school. This is the first time they come to school. This is some of the first experiences they have. 003say, "I want to go to school." >> You cut it. He's doing a great job. >> Oh, wow. >> I'll take this grape. I'm stealing. >> Do the ABC boot camp and we do um special seasonal events, things that um make learning exciting. Um, also invite parents and community to make this experience here at Northeast Elementary one that is full of memories and full of meaning. >> Where's your artwork? >> Right here. >> An astronaut. What do you like most about Northeast? >> Uh, I like I like checking out books. >> That's your artwork? >> Oh, wow. What do you like most about school? >> I like making friends and going the quests. >> What did you draw? A astronaut. >> An astronaut. [clears throat] What do you want to be when you grow up?

004>> Uh, a baby doctor. >> A baby doctor. >> Now, what do you want to be when you grow up? >> Um, be in the Air Force. >> What do you like most about school? >> Learning. >> You like learning. >> Good job. Very good. >> You know, our admin teams there did a great job of presenting uh the challenges that we have at school and all the great things that we've got going on as well. And so, uh, being able to take our board there and see those things happening and really try to connect boardroom decisions to impact at the schools and in the classroom, that's what it's all about. >> Elliot, what kind of students did Elliot have? >> Pumpkins. >> You know, the great thing about having um four zones is we

005we're able to hold uh each of them to a standard and that's the Lauderdale County standard. and today and the great things we have starts with great people, great leaders and anything that we have coming up, the challenges that we have coming forward, it all starts with great leadership at the schools uh and being able to uh promote those visions and uh and having a plan and seeing that in action today lets me know that we're on the right track at our northeast zone and uh we look forward to seeing all the others in the coming weeks. Keep going. She's got it.
