This conference will now be recorded. >> All right. I'll call the meeting to order. I'm board chair Mike Ziegler. >> Uh vice chair Bill Gibbs. >> J. Fallon, trustee. >> Josh Carlos, trustee. >> Stephen Tryby, superintendent. >> Essa. >> Tessa Hopper, trustee. >> Okay. Uh think it we had a chance to look through the consent agenda. We've been looking at the motion and a second on that. >> I'll make a motion to approve it. >> I'll second that. >> It's been moved and seconded. Are there any further discussion or comment required? Not. All in favor say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. >> Before we go on to the next thing. >> Mhm. So, I want to introduce someone. Uh what did we do with Tessa? Well, well, she was part of the
vote. >> Oh, that's it. >> Right? >> Yeah. She was. >> I think I mean she was here. She said so. She'll come back in, but just want to make sure we're all good. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, Tessa, before you go to public comment, so uh Greg, this is uh this is Greg Whitworth. He is uh replacing Rhett. You guys just approved him to be our facilities director. Um and so, um you'll be seeing Greg. >> Welcome. >> Excited to have someone in place. Uh Rhett his last day was um I don't even remember what date it was. Uh two Fridays ago. It was two Fridays ago. Two Fridays ago, whatever that date was. And then Greg was able to start the next Monday. Um so, we're still trying to get some overlap stuff
happening. Um but um you know, there's a lot of learning that Greg's going to do right now. It's going to be really there's a lot of information so it's going to be take a while like anybody in a new job, right? There's a lot of information that you have to go through and a lot of people to meet and things are happening but yeah, I just wanted to make sure that you were introduced to him so you know and he'll be here on our board meetings and giving updates and stuff. So right now we're just kind of trying to get updated on everything right now. Greg took a lot of information with him. You know, there's no way we could have passed that on but we have a plan in place to get back on
track which is good. So if you guys can be helping us out with being able to do that so that'll be good. So Yeah, anyways. Okay, I'm good. Yeah. Thanks. That takes us to communication. Is there public comment on anything not on the agenda? I see the Meredith Brown. Do you wish to speak? Now would now would be the time. I'm just here I haven't I didn't plan to speak but I'm just here to I guess all the voice my opposition at getting rid of the third grade teacher because I have two kids going in the third grade next year and I don't like the idea of them having like 26 and 28 kids in the class. One of them semi struggles academically and gets title services and I get I don't really want to
see her get left behind a little more, you know, in the bigger class size. Thank you. Uh Is there any other public comment on anything not on the agenda? Yes, if not that takes us to reports. Uh is there anybody anything to add elaborate on your report? Any questions? For other reports. Okay, that takes us to board discussion policies, labor management committee update. Uh and we just met here a bit ago. Put together a proposal that Stephenson will present Wednesday. Um Yeah, hopefully that that goes well. We're optimistic and uh you know, there's a lot of a lot of constraints we're dealing with. The STARRS Act uh constrained there and the existing CBA we're constrained there, but uh Yeah, doing what we can. Put the puzzles into the jigsaw. Puzzle is kind of that's how
I'd phrase it, but I guess if there's any questions from anybody on labor management. >> I think the hardest part is what I've noticed in it is just time. Trying to get schedules to align. >> Mhm. >> It's a super busy year for everyone. Um for board members, but then also for the teachers. I mean, obviously we're out of school, but they're wanting to, you know, like it it's just different times. So, it's it's hard. Um that's been the biggest thing to try to get get together probably. So, yeah. >> And if there's no more questions, there's action item, evaluation of superintendent, head head softball coach, and superintendent check-in. >> So, before we get to that, can we skip to the vote written register? >> Oh, sure. >> Cuz we do have one. >> Okay.
>> Today. >> Yep. >> Um and then we can do that. And then go into that. That way people don't have to wait around for that. Does that make sense? Cuz otherwise they have to wait until >> closed, though. Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, >> The people who are in that closed session. >> Yep, definitely. >> Yep, we can do that. >> They don't have to wait around to get to that. >> So, yeah, we'll do that. >> Just in case you guys >> Vote for the Wagners are first and then we'll do the thing. So, yeah, that's kind of the extent of the meeting then for Unless you want to hear us say vote >> Yeah. All right. Thanks for Thanks for coming in. >> Thank you. So, now we're going to
>> Yeah, it's all a closed session. >> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. Yeah. >> No, no worries. That's okay. Yeah, so the Volker Wagners will be closed once >> Okay. >> They'll open up and then they'll do their part of it. >> Okay. >> And just vote on >> For about 5 10 minutes, something like that? >> It'll just No, it'll just be a vote. That's it. >> Okay. >> And then and then then they'll close back for the evaluation. >> Okay. >> Every right around the corner. >> Yeah, sounds good. >> Okay. >> Um let me >> This conference will now be recorded. >> All right, we're back in open session. >> Now, do you want to just Do you want to just make sure cuz if he stayed here, you want to have
him come back in. >> We don't want to like say anything. I don't think he I don't think he's been a part of one of these yet, has he? Closed session. >> Yeah. >> I usually leave, but I don't know, maybe he didn't. And he'll be able to see it on the recording. I just want to make sure if he is there, we can get him back in for you. Well, >> No, I just want >> Okay. >> All right. Uh >> Recording? >> Yeah, yeah, it's recording. Okay. >> motion So, I'll make a motion to approve the request. Yeah, I'll second. It's been moved and seconded. Any further discussion or public comment? If not, all in favor say I. I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Motion carries. And with that, we're going to go
into closed session to discuss the evaluation of superintendent head softball coach and the superintendent check-in. >> Thank you. Have a good night. >> This conference will now be recorded. >> All right, we're back in open session. Uh hopefully not. Okay, it's probably open the door. All right. So, back in open session to adjourn the meeting. Thanks, everybody.
