To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All right. >> No. >> So, we're just trying to Oh, hi everybody. I know most of you. I haven't met you yet. >> Nice to meet you. So, we just want to guys's agenda for June to talk about middle school wrestling. Um, we've got a lot of interest from kids and then we're put working together on putting a presentation to present to you guys as far as how everything will go about. We just want to be in your head so that when that future meeting comes around and present to you all. >> So, how is it now? Are you under? So currently we are a part of
uh SWMLG which is Southwest Montana little guy wrestling and so um all of everything we do is except for what we're doing at this one is affiliated through that Southwest Montana little guy. Um what we've been doing recently is USAW rescue which is nationwide. So it's a nationwide brand insurance is covered by a national organization. Um and that would be separate from this at all. Uh and as far as like what you mean like um >> what do you what do you >> So why would so this would be a sanctioned sport through correct like >> so it won't be it won't be >> middle school. >> So middle school doesn't fall under >> No. So they're separate little guys kind of like kind of like AAOU in a sense but it's just a small
contained league selfdecided rules. If we did middle school wrestling, we'd have to put together our own schedule such as tennis. They have a middle school program. They put together schedule travel wrestle with middle school and they're working on a high school program to all that. But as far as like the middle school competition and all that stuff and being able to compete, I know we'd be able to find competition. Uh it would all be completely separate. It's just a little guy starting for 14 through 14 year olds. So middle schoolers can do it. But like um Jiren Mun did it this year and I think he wrestled three kids all season. So go to a tournament, not have anybody there wrestle go state. There's two kids to make class where no school wrestling. They have
the opportunity to wrestle different tournaments and meet up with a lot more people and have a lot better opportunity to actually compete in the sport. And then there's another question. >> What's the age group that would be considered middle school? >> Middle school, I think. Um, >> 5 through 8, it can be, but uh I don't know if you guys want the sixth graders. I mean, That's something that we'd have to talk about as far as numbers wise and anything like that because do you guys usually pull middle schoolers like fifth grade is it the numbers are super low >> change that's something we have to be flexible with the season >> the season >> it's after it's after high school correct or right start in midFebruary for little guy so they could start practicing
with little guy and then the middle school season is only thousand month long so I think it might >> could you guys have those dates a better idea >> we were going to bring so if we can get on the agenda for June we were going to get a whole presentation that would answer all like schedule grades all of that we can get a presentation that recent upcoming obviously you guys haven't heard about it we uh We've had a lot of interest from kids getting to that middle school district 6th period that we think that we would have enough kids um and also with it not being sanctioned through on HSA. Uh we were looking at present on as well coing potential and bring some school kids over also with us stuff like that because
we have a lot of kids too. over 40 kids as well with 48 we have here almost 100 kids between four and 14 years old wrestling just in a few times. We're hoping to just give them an opportunity at that next level to keeping >> agenda. I think it's >> Yeah. And just >> like a few of those members, there were 16 teams in the little guy wrestling league. >> We had 48 kids wrestle this year for us. Uh out of those 48, um with vacation and being sick, we took 42 divisionals to qualify for state. 28 of those kids out of the 40 qualified state and 16 of them placed in the top four class. So we had over a third of our kids that live divisions placed in the top four state out
of all the teams um including beating white hall and towns then we took um seventh place teams and we lost teams like Helena and stuff like that. But really close. >> Just a little run. >> Yeah. >> Thank you. Thank you Ashley Durham and I saw March on agenda and then program I was going to address a little bit. >> Either one. Um, >> yeah. Do you want to give her a little? >> Yeah. Um, right now we don't have the funding for next year, but pass it forward. There may be a possibility once we look at next year's budget running Monday through Thursday and we may be able to do that. That's what it is. Yes, we did. >> Um, we did. We sent I received a list of top 25 property taxpayers in
the district from the county treasurer and he sent out a solicitation letter um just explaining what the program is um what it does, where the funding originally came from and that we were reaching for funing and future programs in Jeopardy and what benefit is to students and parents of the community. Um I think it's been almost two months since out. So it was really discouraging. Um there's a lot of um places that we've reached out for other support and they've always >> do you know actually how what happened? I like that it was a brand that we that we used to obtain. Okay. I just didn't know if you if you knew that like it wasn't that the board of us was like we're done >> yesterday and I asked you know there said no
>> many of the grants that we got in the past because of current. Do you guys have time when you decide on? >> My goal is by by the end of the meeting. >> So, we've we've looked pretty extensively for other grant opportunities and they're just not there. um some um other grants that we've gotten in the past to help keep going um are not available anymore. The requirements for to receive those grants have changed so much that our program doesn't fit what they're trying to um so we have we have been looking. It's just haven't we're not coming up with anything. $40,000. >> Um I would say um we in the past have budgeted about 30,000 when we ran the program on Mondays through Thursday with and then Fridays as well. Um we could
if it's paired back with fewer supplies and student leaders and things like that. Um I think we were looking around 15 or 16 between 15 and 17,000 um for just after school. I don't know. So, >> right those I don't know um because the way that that has actually sent letters to the Turner Foundation for knocking on doors for money. So um or pan handling um and we you know usually he gets just enough he can give you know 500 to this group or 500 to that group. It's not options. >> We discussed charging. >> We did have some discussion with a small but nominal fee. So having two full jobs working this. I mean, just uh would it help if by say that next meeting like what if we could get people to volunteer
days? I don't know how many fundraisers >> they don't come to my practice programs. You know your research across the ground. I'll let you know. Well, thank you. Thank you for >> Thank you. See you guys. We'll have way better presentation. >> We can't wait for that PowerPoint. >> Oh yeah. >> Thank you guys. >> We haven't had another meeting. So I was just going to say um the FC members did ratifyes and so that's all detail. >> All right. Consideration and possible action regarding fiscal year 27 superintendent contract. >> Okay. Since now we finally hopefully teachers ask for Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? Any discussion? All those in favor say >> I. Consideration of possible action regarding school. >> Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? >> Second.
I mean, your current two letter. We deliver. So the 3% was I believe that note is on a sticky note in the file with the contracts. I don't know that I have. Let me I want to say it's like I think it stand up to 75 is what I want to say but I could be wrong about that. >> Right. It would be on >> Yes. Whatever the 10,000 up to that was on the base and then insurance was >> so be 3% added onto the base. Yes. >> Yeah. >> So 250 would be the base. >> If the base is 75 then it would be 3750. I don't even know what numbers are on it. So the numbers >> I get% unless you're >> we're not sure actually. >> All right. I'm down. That's
what they're asking. It's all >> Oh, this is prior. >> Yes, >> that's the current one. >> That's the current. >> All right. Any other discussion? >> All those in favor say I. >> I. >> All those opposed. Motion carries. >> Consideration of possible ratification of CBA appances A1, A2, A1, B2. Is there a second? All those in favor say consideration and possible action regarding non-resident. We need approval for two students who have attended school here but recently moved Is there a motion to approve? >> Is there a second? >> Say hiring or approval consideration possible action to position. >> Okay. So I have one reseration Katie Christensen. >> Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? Any discussion? All those in favor say I. >> Okay. And resation. Is there a motion? >>
Is there a second? >> Say I motion. >> Um I would recommend um LA Chapman for our high school position. >> Is there a question? >> Is there a second? Second discussion in favor say I >> carries and we may um and I recommend for a motion move. >> Is there a second? >> Second. discussion. How was the uh unfortunatebody? >> Yeah, very good. >> Do they have good turnout? Awesome. She's still taking her classes. >> I don't know. She was waiting to see if she liked. >> No, she has consideration of possible hiring. fiscal year classified staff. >> Okay, if you look at the revised classified staff, I would recommend hiring all of those folks and stuff. Is there a second? >> Too late. >> Louder. >> Any discussion? >> All those in favor
say I. >> All those opposed motion carries. >> I want to recommend for business district. >> Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? >> Any discussion? >> I myself how Oh, you probably need >> Let's see here. I would like to recommend JD Muns as our music advisor. >> Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? >> Any discussion? All those in favor say I. >> All those opposed. Motion carries. >> Like to recommend Mera Heinman as our summer director. >> Is there a motion? So this is just >> any other discussion. All those in favor say I. >> I. Consideration and removal of school year 27 local agreement with Bever County Schools for >> um we'll have to move that to June. >> Is there a motion to take that? Is
there a second? >> Second say I >> consideration and possible approval of fiscal year. I would recommend renewing with speech services. >> What was their hourly rate last year? >> Yes. first speech probably roughly 30 and that's approximately how many hours she >> um I would say at least two and a half days um depending on IP meetings my class she's usually on campus for parts of discussion. >> She's been doing this for how many years? >> Um, six. Yeah. >> She's based out of >> She's since we left the co-op. Um, oh yeah. >> Consideration possible approval of fiscal year. >> I would recommend Is there a motion? >> Is there a second? discussion. Consideration of possible approval of commercial energy. >> Looking at the fix rate is this year. I move to approve
uh the fixed rate. Second discussion. All those in favor say I. >> All those opposed carries. Now, what's going to happen so much? >> So, I I see the abstract pass around. Um, this has the abstract and um the ballot um status report and tally for the judges. And there's the small one is for the older district and the larger one is for district. Um, so no, the recount is an automatic recount if there's a tie. Um, and then if it's less than one quarter of 1% of the ballots cast difference. Um, 10 electors could sign a petition to ask for a recount or if the board found a discrepancy in when canding forward to the but actually the board. >> So, we have 700 $700 gas. >> What's one point? >> So, actually, if
you a little bit above quarter of 1% because it's two votes, not one. >> Yes. >> And I will send around so y'all Do you shout? >> Thank you. Maybe there is a shift as we failed last year. So maybe there's a positive shift. kids seniors. >> And I think a lot of really good graphics for people All right. Is there a motion to approve the muscles? >> Is there a second? Was there a second on that? >> Got it. >> Sorry. What? >> I used Gemini and I feel guilty about it. >> Why? >> Because of the water. >> Because back in the day I, you know, I graduated from high school in 1998. I would have used my CD ROM print master gold and made that by myself. Don't even >> And you've
been like five years old. >> I was five in 1998. Any other discussion? All those in favor say I. I. >> All those opposed. Motion carries. Consideration possible action regarding resolution for mail. Is there? Is there a second? >> Second. discussion. >> They have to we have to have it submitted to them by June 1st or they don't have to say yes. They don't have to say yes anyway, but um the >> date what was the reason? >> Um so over 50% of our um voters are absentee. Um so we would have to mail out ballot anyway. And then um running the poll election has changed quite a bit. Um the timets, all of those things, they meet all of the statuto requirements for the dates in our election. If um we ran our own,
we also need the machine so that it was accessible for even though we vote by on paper ballots and we count by hand. um you still have to have that option to make it accessible for those who can't vote that way. Um and it just we did not have great turnout. Um it's actually voting in person we had a better turnout and there were other things on the ballot at the same time. Um I think it hurts us with the mail ballot. Um but you know the last time we ran an election the alder polling place we had 200 registered voters 11 people voted eight hours. Three of them were my elections. Have these three elections going in place. Um and I think we maybe hadund a little over a hundred show up and vote
and share. Um so it's just the turnout is not as good. And as much as people say they don't like mail ballot elections, they're not voting in person. Um, no. Because we designated cander as our election I'm the election administrator and because she's running it, this is full security of the ballots. Um, there is no other discussion. All those in favor say I. All those carries or approval previous minutes. Is there a motion to accept minutes? Any discussion? We have a system. >> All those in favor say I. >> I. All those opposed. Review and approval of current bills and expenditure proposal district. Is there a motion? Is there a second discussion? >> What is East Silver for Matt? Are those like mats that go on the floor? >> Yes. >> So, they come in
on they give us so many mats to kind of rotate through and then they come in once a month and pick up the dirty ones and bring us clean. Um, we used to use content broom brush for that, but you know, Staples bought broom brush and they dropped that service. East silver has kind of >> Yeah. And they are more expensive cuz we used to have it um I think every other week with the brush and I think we're paying more now to have a death. Um, and they used Do they still come off? They might do >> this like a Kat. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Are you looking at the budget report on the page? >> The budget. >> Okay. like high school. >> Uh so our yes, our fund 15, our 115
and our 215, those are not actually set up um line item with all of our grants that we receive because when the school year starts, when I set up the line items for the budget, we don't actually have the final allocations for all of those grants. So that's like our title one, our IDA, um things like that. And then the private grants that we have are also run through that miscellaneous fund. Um so they do look like they're overspent, but they're not. Um and when we adopt our budget in August, um those are not budgeted funds under statute. Those are cash funds. So this is the just because the budget lines aren't set up. So this um but we run that fund as a cash fund. Um So, please >> So, is all of our
tuition? >> Yes. Um, I had contacted um Shelley Burke at the treasurer's office to make sure it was okay to pay the second half of our tuition bills. Um, because she is receiving property taxes this month. I asked her either wait until June or if it was okay to go ahead and pay it. She said it would be a problem because the tuition can be paid by >> Yes, we received I think we received all of our two of the schools that paid us, they already had money in their tition fund, so they didn't have to wait for their taxes. discussion. >> The NASA $1600. It was a complete I can't No, I know that >> doesn't make sense. are portfolio in tomorrow. Then we have close everything. to make it make it workable for
the staff that we have and then the students. Um, teacher appreciation week was celebrating here provided for both elementary. teachers. Um for middle school elections are coming up and then winding down the year on a positive note. Um, attendance for last month, jump start through 2 grade 96%. Third through sixth grade 93%, 7th through 8 96%. 9 through 12 96 and overall 95%. So we've had really good attendance this last month. April students of the month, kindergarten, we have Apple Stari and Bailey. First grade, Portland Meley. Second grade, Bailey Muns. Third grade, Cooper Hemp. Fourth grade, Grayson Mackey. Fifth grade, Stella Wheeler. Sixth grade, Chelsea Bartal. Seventh grade, Reagan Sprinkle. Eighth grade, Kim Miller. Ninth grade, Carson Hansen. 10th grade, M. 11th grader Miller and 12th grade James. Um, as we talked earlier, the spring
concerts were um, very well attended and this one did a great job. Very enjoyable. Um, we had our color run. I think this is the fifth or sixth year we've done this last Wednesday and it was another huge success. We probably had nearly 150 students and parents and community members that came out um for walking tacos. Um all the kids got a white t-shirt for the color. We had cornhole set up and Mr. Burton played some cap play with the kids. It's turned into a really fun event that gives a lot of support to come out participate. Uh, Miss Wolf Shank spoke about portfolio starting tomorrow with seniors and then continuing on Thursday and we'll have it release at 1:00 and that's where jump starts through 11th graders will give their presentations to the parents.
Senior graduations quickly May 24th at 1:00. Um, our quarter celebration will be Monday, June 1st at 9:00 in the elementary and that will be followed by the elementary field and funday on the football field. And our last event of the year, the great promotion on Thursday, June 4th, 6:30. We already discussed a little bit about the palace update and I June meeting. Let's bring some options so we can hopefully that positive fashion. Um very brief and this is pretty much all I can say which is good. Upon completion of the 1700 complaint investigation by Jean Far, no credible evidence was found to support the allegations. Thank you. Is there a motion to new trustees? Yes, you are elected by application. >> All right. Declaration of vacancy all trustee position. So, um did not run and
so we'll have to declare that vacant. Um and we'll next meeting um she has shared her intent to be appoint. All those motion carries nominations for chairman. Um, yes. and we'll vote by pass. >> Well, she can control. >> Yeah. Correct. So we have seven we have two from our board. So I was just curious >> and they're their own separate >> because they're in our high school district. >> There's two elements. has been forever. I'm really tired. >> Yeah, I know. seconds. So two things or um we can move to table to the next meeting. We're not >> Oh, I'm sorry. Never mind. So if anybody I just wonder if we choose to vote again can there be discussion or notession. So with a normal bow like this is not normal but like a
normal bow tie um it failed. So um I'd say Is there something? Do we want to do the chair? Is there a second? >> Say motion carries. Appointment of district. Is there a motion? Is there a second? >> Any discussion? So the current >> no >> I was hired as the business official and now I can be appointed pushing your button. Any other motion carries appointment. Is there a second? >> Favor say I. Do I have a motion?
