001I'm Juliet Payton and I'm the March student of the month here at West Chicago. I'm involved in the girls soccer team. I've been a part of it for four years. I've been on varsity for 3 years. I write for the Wildcat Chronicle. I've been a student ambassador my junior and senior year and I'm also in NHS. What I've really loved about WGO over my four years is the community. like we have so many different types of people, different interests, everyone has different like clubs, activities, all of this. And at the same time, everyone can still come together, become friends with people from all different grades. There's really just a strong community here at West Chicago. A piece of advice I would give to my younger self, I wish I got more involved earlier. Everyone says to get involved, like that's the most common answer, but it really is great because you meet so many more people. So, you meet more teachers and admin outside of just the classes you already have, and it builds a whole ton of new skills that you wouldn't get otherwise. Next year, I'm planning to attend the University of Alabama to study sports media, and my hopes are to be a sports reporter in the future, hopefully for like football or basketball with a sports network.
