001I'm Lupe Perez and I'm the February student of the month. In West Chicago, I'm a Snowball director. I am part of Pep Club and I was part of AV Club. I feel like child development has really shown me like how to be a good teacher. It has really prepared me like for what I want to do. It's also like something that really influenced me to go ahead and go into early childhood education cuz I feel like just like being able to take care of the kids, be there with them, and comfort them has really like made me want to be a teacher. A piece of advice I would give is don't take things for granted. Like if you get opportunities, go for them. Don't slack on them. Don't slack on your work either cuz it will catch up to you. After high school, I'm planning to go to COD for 2 years and do a major in early childhood education. That's my plan.
