I think probably a thing that would help like me feel more seen and heard as like a student is when like my teachers ask me like questions about myself, about my life, like what I want to do for college. And it helps them like become a better teacher when they start to learn things about who I am. And it really helps me as a student like get a connection with my teacher because then I actually want to be there and I actually like want to be engaged and learn. Miss Ahmad was my freshman year English teacher and she made a really big impact on me and made me feel like freshman year was a lot easier. Always asked me how I was doing, always asked, you know, life questions, life updates, and she was just
really personable. And I think it made that class even more fun. >> A specific teacher that I like the most and I'm going to give a shout out to is Mr. Nandez. She an aid teacher. Shout out to her. my goat. She gives out like supportive answer. Like when I have like trouble like struggling days, struggling with music or math or anything like she just comes by and supports me, talking me out like, "Hey, like I think like if you want you can like go drink some water real quick or I'll give you candy." Yay. What's up kids? A teacher that I really want to say I'm grateful for, someone I want to show, Miss Foss. She's really been helping me since freshman year. She she been my freshman year D teacher. She's my freshman
year English teacher. She's like a big sister aka mother. She's helped me like overcome like a lot of stuff. She talks about how I could better myself in life, better myself after school. >> A teacher that I really like look up to and I look to when I'm at school is Miss Hos since freshman year. She's always been there for me and she's one of the most considerate people I know when I'm like panicking or overthinking. She's always there to ground me. One thing I really appreciate is how teachers take time out of their day for students that need work. Last year I needed help and the teacher said I could come in the morning and that really helped me a lot. Got my grade like from the lowest to a really good grade. >>
Another teacher, Coach D, he taught me how to be tough. Taught me how to be like a good citizen in school and taught me how to be physical, how to like be like we want to say a man. I really appreciate Miss Austin because she always like helps me feel motivated and helps my learning in a more like active way. She helps me stay focused and learn how to be better in different environments where I know it can help me in the future. >> So I want to talk about the Mr. Go. He's my coach and Dragonfield. I think he have good teacher because he doesn't know Spanish but he tried to speak Spanish. I think that's better. He doing a bad job. But I think it's a good person for try. >> For me
personally, what I like is when a teacher is passionate about the thing that they're teaching. I've had many teachers that really do like the subjects that they teach and are passionate about it. And that really makes me feel like I want to learn more about it. When I see somebody else invested and interested in it, there's so many teachers here that embody that. >> To Mr. Caleronia, you are a very bright teacher and have made my sophomore year really fun and I really enjoy all of the funny moments that you incorporate into class time and Friday birthdays are like one of my favorite days. >> Mr. Kurt Johnson taught me how to like actually think about what I'm doing. >> To Mrs. Fero, you have a rare ability to make connections and many memories with
your students. The heart, time, and energy you put into teaching really has a great impact on many of your students. I'm forever grateful that I was one of your students. >> There's a lot of more teachers. If if y'all don't get a shout out, please don't come beat me up, please. I beg you. We love y'all.
