002taking drafting design one and this course students will be provided the foundation for careers in engineering architecture design manufacturing and construction students will sketch designs of mechanical and Architectural drawings computer drafting CAD software is introduced and used throughout the semester after drafting one students have multiple paths they can choose they can continue into Drafting and design two to expand their understanding of mechanical drafting use AutoCAD in Greater detail and will be introduced to 3D printing and CNC Machining drafting design 2 can lead into technical drawing which heavily emphasizes engineering principles and is a must for future mechanical engineers and those interested in manufacturing students also have the opportunity to get real hands-on experience in our new state-of-the-art lab by enrolling in machine shop at any time after taking drafting one using lathes Mills surface Grinders

004design engineer at Apple when I was at Wego I took as many classes with Mr Johnson as possible I mean he's a great teacher but when I took computer animation and drafting it also gave me the tools to explore my creativity and the skills and support to then turn my ideas into real world projects and quite frankly I love that so I can't recommend his classes enough hi my name is Kirk ravitt graduating class of 2013 at West Chicago high school I'm currently working in Southern California at JRM construction building out various retail and Commercial properties throughout the area back in high school I took drafting one and two technical drawing architectural drawing and advanced study with Mr Johnson and it allowed me to take my love for creativity and passion for drawing and design
