001hi everyone i'm coach contreras i am a spanish teacher here at west chicago and i'm also the girls head cross country coach as a cross country coach i know a thing or two about long distance races life is like a race but 2020 has been a complete marathon when you're running a long distance if you go out too fast you run out of gas if you go out too slow then you are spending way too much time trying to catch up so when you're trying to find your pace you need to first look at where you're at in our case the goals haven't changed so you have to make those goals tangible make those appointments with your teachers sit down with them one-on-one via zoom ask your teachers for help if you need and stay on top of your work well guys we're in this for the long haul so you have to make sure that you feel comfortable you find your pace and after you figure that out you can see the bigger picture you can reach your goal at the very end of the season we're all in this together
