To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. Okay. Motion to agenda. Do I have a second? Seconds. All in favor say I. Welcome visitors. Comment communications. I don't think we have any public comment or communications. Mr. shoulder. Um, moving on to student outcome goals. Mrs. Do you just want to give us an update on why we do have the student outcome? >> Yeah, we did move the ASVAP test event and this month was 3.1. So, uh, we have to move that testing which Ed will be doing. But I did include for you, um, under 4A the, um, goal progress report that he wrote up for me just so that you can see the ones that he has
scheduled. And, you know, just progress on that. And if the testing is completed and we have the scores back report on it next month with three, two, and three, >> I don't remember. 11. I was gonna say I thought they >> did it last week. >> The scores back, but I don't know how long it takes. >> They should get them weeks. >> Okay. So, I should have the scores. >> All right. Um, moving on. We have the consent agenda before us. Everybody had an opportunity to read through that and ask any questions. I'm looking for a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. >> Make a move to have a second. >> Second. Shannon, can you call the role on that, please? >> Patty Kelly, >> yes. >> Sheila Nagel, >> yes. >>
Ryan Rosen Doll, >> yes. >> Brian Sire, >> yes. >> Monica, >> yes. Motion passes 5. Um, everyone have the reports in their packet for information. Um, so we'll move on to item four, items for discussion and possible action. A, superintendent um, recommended facilities referendum. Um, Mrs. C, do you want to read that out? >> Yeah. Okay. So after careful review of the committee's work and the results of the community survey, it is my recommendation that the board approve the bond resolution for 6.3 million as presented on the resolution. The committee's process was thorough and the feedback gathered from the community survey provides a clear direction for moving forward at this time. While I fully support advancing this resolution, I also want to note both respectfully and transparently that our district continues to face additional
facility needs that extend beyond this proposal. In particular, our high school building envelope and windows, long-term safety upgrades, and improvements to ADA accessibility remain areas of concern that we will need to address in future financial planning. Even with those broader needs in mind, it is evident that the committee's recommendation reflects the priorities identified by our community. Approving this resolution allows us to take a meaningful step forward while continuing to plan for the additional work that lies ahead. So my recommendation is that the the three documents that are in >> there any discussion on it comments? >> I totally agree with what you said. I thought it was very well stated that >> absolutely >> several other issues that we will need to figure out a way to address. So it's majority have been tackled hopefully.
I know this has been a big elephant in the room for a while waiting on that boiler. So, um I agree. I I think we all noted in our last meeting that we concerned about safety issues that are not being addressed in this, but that this is what the community has said that they will support. So, that's where you need to go. So, um Shannon, do we need to approve these step by step? >> Yes. Okay. So, I'm looking for a motion to approve the initial resolution that was included in our packet. Uh, S moves. Do I have a second? Kelly seconds. And Shannon. >> Uh, Pam Kelly. >> Yes. >> Sheila Nagel. >> Yes. >> Ryan Rosenal. >> Yes. >> Brian Sire. >> Yes. >> Monica Hinduk. >> Yes. Motion passes for the initial
resolution 5-0. Um, next I'm looking for a motion to approve the resolution submitting question. Kelly moves. Do I have a second? >> Me seconds. Um, Shannon, you call the role on that. >> Patty Kelly, >> yes. >> Sheila Nagel, >> yes. >> Ryan Rosenol, >> yes. >> Brian Sire, >> yes. >> Monica, >> yes. Motion passes 5. Before you do this one, do we want to explain it just so the people can hear that? So this next one is a resolution for submission of school construction loan application. So, they have let us Scott Lightner has let me know that there's still some loans that are available, some lowinterest loans, and um as long as we get this in before the deadline, which I believe is was March 31st, it goes up to DPI and Adam
will be keeping all of the um applications for schools that are doing referendums on June 9th. And once those referendums go, if it passes, then they will evaluate or look at the applications that they've had and then they'll prioritize them. So Shannon and I will work together um with Icon and Scott and an and whatever paperwork we need to do just like last time. But just to be clear that we don't know that we'll get these low interest loans and we won't know until a referendum passes and then DPI makes their decisions. But boy, the um the low interest would is huge if you remember from the last time and we can get you figures on how much money it would save for us and how much we can apply for. So we'll know more,
but there is still that opportunity and we'll take full advantage of that. But we won't know until our referendum if if the referendum passes. So >> that was not be funded this year. So that small, >> right? They didn't make it any bigger, but now those loans are starting to revolve and the payments are coming back in there. So, um, I don't remember exactly how much money there is there and it's obviously changing as people are paying back into it, but Adam will keep us updated and I'll give you more information on that piece of it, too. So, any questions on that? >> All right, Shannon, will you call the role on that, please? >> Oh, can I get a motion for the resol approve the resolution for the uh school construction loan application? >>
I'll make a move. >> Rosen move. Do I have a second? >> Second. Sire seconds. Now, will you call the role, please, Shannon? >> Abby Kelly, >> yes. >> Sheila Nagel, >> yes. >> Ryan Rosen, >> yes. >> Ryan Sire, >> yes. >> Monica Hindut, >> yes. Motion passes 5. Um, before we close up the meeting, Shannon, do you want to just briefly tell us how this um vote is going to be different this year as opposed to other years when it's been here in the school? >> Yes. So, uh, the legislature made any general obligation bond elections to be have to be done either at the primary or the general election, which then also means that the county auditor has to uh run this election. It will be on your county ballot. Therefore, you
will need to go where you vote for your primary election. It will not be at the school. I will not be able to hand out um or send absentee application absentee ballots. Um the absentee applications are online and you can fill them out. You can download them and you can send them to me, but I will immediately then send them on forward to the auditor's office in at courthouse because she is the one who will be able to take care of all who gets the absentee ballots and the signatures and they also then will be doing um canvasing the ballot, canvasing the vote on the 13th day after the election. So we as a board do not have to meet to service that. >> You do not. >> Okay. Are there any questions on that
and how that's going to look different? >> So if people want to get an absentee, they contact the auditor's office and they'll go. >> They have to fill out the application first and once that is approved by the auditor that she will mail out the ballots. I think those are typically published in the newspaper as well of the or sample of it and where to go to get it beforehand. Um, I guess I don't know what her her rules are a little different than mine is running the general election. So, whatever she is required to do, I don't know that they have the actual application in the newspaper. >> I think it's a sample of it and it shows you where to go download it and send it out. >> Yeah, but that's usually out
there. But um just for transparency to the public that this is not our choice that this is how the legislature has moved forward with the law that this is how we have to handle this um this and that we'll be working with icon and getting all of that stuff out there to make sure with and with Scott and and to make sure everything is all you know the legal piece of it in your packet was the official ballots. Um I don't know maybe people will want to hear that it was for 6.3 muring within a maximum of 20 years and an additional millage of 18.82 82 mil. So that's less than our um billing fund is even. So that those are in there. We'll have a calculator, you know, we'll have all of the stuff
that we need. So we'll try to do know as much as we possibly can on our website, sending people to the right places and answering questions. And so I know some of the wording on here it gets wordy and it gets lengthy and it gets somewhat confusing perhaps, but the centric code dictates almost word for word what has to go on a law election ballot. Any other questions or comments? >> Here we go again. Let the ride begin. >> Okay. future meetings. Um, a regular meeting Tuesday, April 21st at 7 a.m. and then Tuesday, May 19th, which will be after school >> I believe, isn't it? Yeah. >> 7 a.m. >> Um, and then just for reference, the school board election will be held as well on June 9th, correct? >> Yes. >> Same place.
>> So, board member Siren, board member Nagel seats are up. When is the deadline to file for that? >> April 1st. >> I think it's April 4th, but I I don't know that off the top of my head. You've got to give me a few seconds to find that. >> So, please get your application. So, I don't think that's you can find it on the on the website. I'm sure. All right. Anything else? Are they going to be ordered? No. All right.
