all right approval or modification of agenda um there's going to be um no project promise presentation tonight and then our new business oh it's just dots it's not letters add another little bullet point and add Middle nmms Field Trip profess please okay um so no project promise presentation so next we'll do Adam group presentation regarding our rent andw attack you are up look at that but yes you are up um but if you can come up to our lovely modified microphone that would be great I have questions but they're all kind well that's what we get for having network situations uh you've done wonderfully thank you thanks good good to go good to go it work perfect uh thanks for having me here today um I'm here to present to you um some of the
uh information about The Ransom are attack that happened um across the districts and be a short presentation um some of the facts and timeline uh and then I'll give you status on where we are uh today in the recovery so I'm sure you're all interested in knowing I apologize to the folks that are at my back but I'll do my best to speak loud enough that everybody can hear perfect thank you um as you're aware um on the uh 15th of November uh there was a um a ransomware that did infect uh a school computer um on the 15th uh it did enter uh in through one of the laptops uh it did subsequently infect five environments uh including uh five schools plus the SAU office um it was scheduled for Auto atic detonation uh
on Monday the 20th uh which is the day that I'm sure most of you became aware that there was an issue uh at the schools and the school network um it did in course of its detonation encrypt laptops servers environments uh in all five schools um as well as the SAU office as part of your primx cyber and security coverage um we were deployed um my name is Jason scrome from the atom group hi um we were deployed as your cyber security eerc Response Team uh working with Paul uh and your IT staff in order to begin the remediation and forensic evaluation of the event we've completed both of those processes um as you know may just to address some of the questions that you may all have um we did perform a full forensic
evaluation of the event uh which included sandboxing of the malware the ransomware um what its capabilities were attempts to reach out to the thread actor uh which is all course normal course course of business for um Us in cyber emergency response our forensic evaluation did reveal uh we have no reason to believe uh there is no forensic evidence to show that student information or um you know PE personally identifiable information or financial information was uh taken or breached uh we'll use that term of art breached uh seen by the threat actor uh during this event um so to put that question kind of I know a lot of people maybe concerned about that so we do have that uh environments that were impacted uh of course the school desktop environments laptops um the students Chromebooks
were not impacted and the servers uh in the SAU office as well as elsewhere uh in in also the financial server um and when I say impacted I mean destroyed by the virus the data was not taken off of uh that environment um environments that were not impacted uh your sis system which is cloud hosted um was not impacted by this and your Chromebook environments were not impacted um by this um The A Team uh which consisted of about nine people worked for about two weeks uh to reconstitute Services uh throughout the schools um eventually starting with wired networks and eventually proceeding to wireless um getting back to almost normal operations is just where we are today uh a couple of things are still offline uh the financial server is still impacted um and is
still offline uh printing um which many of you may have heard uh and I know that is a hot button issue right now uh is still impacted and will be impacted probably for the remainder of this week um but we are targeting getting it back Friday or or perhaps Monday of next week so that is an important action item that is coming uh the team is actively working on that right now the financial server recovery um the timeline on that is definitely still in question uh that will be a massive effort of of getting a lot of data back into that the that environment um in order for that to come into to you know be the way it was um but normal operations like payroll and whatnot are continuing under manual emergency processes so
there hasn't been um uh any impact really uh outside of Robin and her staff uh doing a tremendous amount of work uh to make sure those Services stay alive and active um which she's done throughout this event um at this time our team uh is maintaining Vigilant uh with Paul and his team uh making sure that there is no threat actor activity in the environment it has been uh over nine days now since our last reported infection in the in the uh in any of the schools so we are not seeing a spread of any new infection uh we are ongoing Imaging laptops and desktops and things of that nature that were infected that had to be pulled from circulation and that process will continue over the next couple of weeks before the last desktops
and laptops get back into service um there was no Hardware damage from any of that so this really is just a software recovery um there won't be you know that's all of Paul's team's time uh to get those reimaged and safely back into the environment um but we will be monitoring uh both uh dark web as well as your external infrastructure and your internal infrastructure throughout the recovery effort um until we recertify the environment as being you know fully operational which will come at the at the very end of this and that is our normal process um so your primex uh Risk Managers are uh engaged um and actively working with the SAU team um and your superintendent to make sure that all of this financially happens the right way you do have excellent coverage
through them we work with a lot of insurance companies and can't say enough good things about primax um and what they've provided you all and what they will continue to provide you all in the course of this recovery so um I will take any questions from the board if you have them no just a thank you thank you so is the Wi-Fi supposed to be back to normal now uh the Wi-Fi is is mostly back to normal um uh there will be small disruptions to Wi-Fi service as we recover other services you may see some fluctuation in in services but for the most part things are where they should be thank you all for your time very I'm already getting questions on whether it's live or not and I had to verify sorry will'll be
uploaded tomorrow she doesn't have a computer because s situation okay fig i' check before we got too far on and we had further issues um next for minutes November 27 2023 any gross errors issues concerns regarding minutes from November 27th all those in favor say I opposed exensions motion to I don't know I'm [Laughter] so for me motion to accept the minutes from November 27th meeting second beautiful all right I have apologize I guess I got to get back in this way oh my goodness Kim's in it now she did it she's any discussion regarding the minutes for November 27th okay seeing none all those in favor say I I opposed abstentions I'm obain okay next moving on public comment good evening Marie Carson from Alexandria I want to thank you for for the your
heartfelt um comments that you made last week and letting us know what what the students are feeling and I want to address that tonight here with the board at the last meeting we heard the heartfelt te testimony expressing the social and emotional issues that students today are having to deal with I completely agree that the inhumane treatment students endured during covid left students feeling anxiety depression and even suicidal to the student body I say please understand that when we all of us keep saying the seal out of the school we're not talking about taking away necessary Services we're talking about a far-reaching data mining system that will have repercussions for you and your peers for the rest of your lives I wish I had more time to tell you about it but you can research
it for yourself Google negative impact for secl we also do not want to give the school district freedom to make medical decisions or Implement medical programs a great deal of the current feelings of anxiety depression and suicide among our students today are the result of how this board blindly implemented covid procedures it is not normal to separate students from their friends via closures or lockdowns it is not normal to maintain social distancing or to Mand mandate masking the decisions made by this board has had a lasting impact on the emotions of all the students it is my recommending recommendation that the school board apologize to the whole student body for their careless decisions that cause students to endure enormous amount of emotional distress why do I blame the school board let's just look at the
man mandating masking for example it was the people behind me who stood up for S students rights and their social and mental well-being while the school board ignored their pleas and enforced mandatory masking During the period of mandatory masking the public over and over meeting after meeting requested that masking mandates be removed case in point on the meeting on August 9th 2021 six members of the community spoke about the health risk of masking and that mandatory masking should be stopped one teacher counteracted he said we need to keep mandatory masking until everyone is vaccinated this side did the research the teacher had no clue of the consequences his approach would have on the student body or the public I would like to share with him and anyone who agrees with him this article from the
National Library of science that I have with me tonight it's titled revisiting the radel of mandatory masking it was published in 8723 it States before SARS it was considered masking had little to no benefit to healthy people wearing masks now 3 years later it is our opinion that the mandatory use of face mask in the general population is unjustifiable and must be abandoned in future pandemics all during Co the data clearly showed that covid was a serious threat to nursing homes not schools since the school board ignored the concerns of the community refused to research the topic and then govern in the best interest of the students during covid we certainly don't want the school to expand its authority over students Healthcare is there a problem no we your your your what you were reading
got passed around versus handed to Ruth I thought it was for all I wasn't sure why that's okay that's okay thank you sorry Mar I have heard board members claim that they are only concerned about what's best for students but their governance over covid policies proved differently the truth is that they blindly follow teachers unions and CDC recommendations without researching the truth for themselves the same holds true for the implementation of seal that is why we minute because I interrupted you pardon me your five minutes is up but I'll give you another minute because I interrupted you okay that is why we will continue to speak on it educate the public and talk about the ultimate goals of implementation and I will end it right there thank you thank you Aubrey Friedman Bridgewater two topics
tonight uh first of all the uh Desa uh Universal scanner uh program is being it's a goal for this school year to have it fully implemented of course I didn't know what it was it's it's a Deo student strengths assessment and this is where every uh teacher will fill out a form for each student assessing their social emotional skills one in the fall and one in the spring and where this data goes I don't know but it's to figure out how students are doing on their social emotional so I it's all over the country and uh it's here and there but there was some art there was a few articles about it in New York City so that one was more of Interest I would have thought it' been well received there actually they had
a lot a push back and it was from the teachers they said this is extra work on us we already have enough to do and for once I totally s with the teachers this is they do have enough to do so um extra work for them and they'd have to spend extra time on it and actually some of them were getting paid overtime per the Union contract if they did it after school but regardless they were also complaining that we don't know each student that well to do this psycholog iCal analysis so they actually urg parents just opt out of it and then we won't have to do it for your kid in the end they cut the Mandate after a year again this is New York City so it's just their school system and
some of the schools kept it but definitely a lot of them removed it they said this is uh we don't want it so I would caution to think about it also for our school district this uh Desa thing and it's big business by the way they spent $18 million for threeyear threeyear contract of course that's New York City but per school it was $3,300 so this is not little money and also is this going to be opt in or opt out they had opt out which is always the worst way to go if a program makes sense you have let the parents explain it to them and let them opt in and if they think it makes sense they'll opt in so it must be opt in if you even implement it at all the
other thing saa3 it's on the uh agenda for tonight nothing in the backup so I just looked in the website and they did have some information on Esser one two and three this is that $3.4 million came free money from the federal government uh for all the uh troubles that came from the lockdowns the mandates and the remote learning this is to mitigate that uh We've hired apparently a lot of Personnel in the last couple of years uh for this supposed to be temporary I guess it's free money from the federal government to mitigate the damage but U and it's psychologists social workers behavioral specialists uh guidance counselors par professionals quite a few I couldn't figure out how many people have been hired but my question is what are you going to do when the
free Federal money runs out it is I mean they're at almost $34 trillion these days in the red so that Federal money is going to run out what are you going to do with all the extra staff that have been hired and you know how it is with government workers once you hire them uh they're kind of on the payroll so what is going to be done this will be an extra burden for the local taxpayers that already pay 50 to 70% of their property tax bills is for this school dist District this will be a bigger burden on them so I'm just asking the question is this anybody thought about it because the money's going to run out and what are you going to do with the the extra people hire and that's it
thank you good evening all John solos Bristol I just wanted to highlight a couple things that Marie said earlier it's like when it comes to seal we're not saying we're going to get rid of all the services that's just uh ridiculous okay but SE seal does have a deeper darker rooted um agenda going on there and what we're trying to save is also the kids uh the students in uh going forward in the future because as Aubrey just said you're doing assessments if it's one two or three or five a year whatever you're doing so no one's collecting that data that data somewhere okay now this data what they're saying it's not personal identify information data but that data could eventually follow the student the rest of their life and some of the stuff you
do not want following you the rest of their life just because you made have may have had one bad day or made a stupid mistake going through school so we're trying to protect you that way uh the other thing Marie brought up is uh that video on 8921 I I was one of the six people that spoke out about the psychological damage that you're doing to these kids and I still believe he did it and also being on the budget committee I know I approved funds to help out and uh resolve that which I thought was only going to be for a year or two I didn't know it was going to be an ongoing the rest of the life and be implemented in the schools forever so I thought that was just a temporary
thing to help these kids get through get back on their feet as they get into school so therefore you know I didn't expect that to last forever that money and I did speak out back then um the other part is researching this stuff does take a lot of time to research I mean hours and hours and you get you can really go into the hundreds of hours you know so you can really go crazy on it so um it really I would think the school board would really start to really look strongly at this seal and see how damaging it could be and don't get me wrong it it it can work great and sometimes when you first look at it so this stuff is wonderful but when you start digging you start finding out
you say okay it's good here but it's not really all that perfect like we think so that's where it takes a lot of thought as far as that uh implementing seal here um I'm concerned about our constitution Republic because what I don't hear a lot is people saying you know constitutional republic what I hear is saying we have a democracy and yes we do but no we don't all right the Democracy ends as you elect your representatives the representatives becomes your Republic and and I'm just concerned there because I think people and I say people it could be students it could be adults anyone are just confused of understanding what this what our country was made on and and built on and they just don't understand it so so it'd be nice that the uh
everybody could actually you know start looking up and say you know understand where our forefathers were coming from and saying we're a constitutional republic um last not last thing but another thing that's been brought up here and I've heard at least a couple times but maybe more more than not is uh I hear in school and and people talking about a Global Citizens we are not Global Citizens I'm going to repeat it again we are not Global Citizens you're you're a citizen of the United States or another country or maybe the state of New Hampshire but you're not a global citizen there's no such thing the last thing as I did not last thing but another thing I did is I did send you a slide a presentation I put together it's more um EP
certs of um information I was looking up on and uh the wellness and stuff and if you don't have time to look at it that's you know 8 891 slid so you don't have time at least look at slide seven slide seven at least shows you a flow of what people that have written about this saying this is where it's started and this is where it's heading and the out um one of the last things is we've heard a lot of acronyms going around CRT Dei seel there mtss mtssb uh there's PBIS I can keep going on I got three pages over 80 acronyms that I'm talking about now this is how in depth between all the stuff that's going on with seal and on the background in that and the supporters of it and
where the um where it all came from and stuff including Castle which is s cael and uh like I said it just goes on and on so I just want to leave you with that and one last part which I think is very important thank you L said is is the I really believe especially with this seal it could really be stepping on New Hampshire constitutional part one article 2B right our right to privacy and that really scares me and I think we should all be looking at that part one article 2B thank you Brenda Joyce Alexandria to piggyback on these guys you're going down a slippery slope we're in the 30th percentile in the state with our grades these kids can't read in cessive they can't sign their own names they're giving them books
that are sexually educating them yet their math scores are disgusting and now we have a contract with Midstate so that they can come during class hours and give office visits to kids during class hours and these kids aren't making up to class time and if you're concern if if you're doubting me I understand that in some instances when the patient is in school or elsewhere the parent of guard Guardian may not be available to accompany the Adolescent to the appointment if the patient is over 16 and if they choose to allow them to attend an appointment without the parental legal guardian I'll complete the authorization to treat a minor child form this is for medical Behavioral Health visits for adolescence during school hours what happened to educating our kids I mean if your kid's sick
it's my job as the parent to take him to the doctor's it's not the doctor's job to come to school have them Miss class time and treat them in school without me being there they're they're children they're miners they don't know what's best for them and you're having all these outside people coming in dictating and and talking to and psychoanalyzing and and that's the parents job your job is to educate we need to get back to educating these kids and get them out of the 38th percentile and let the parents take care of their mental health and well-being you you we went through this with the whole masking thing we took money from the federal government it came with certain things you had to do I went over this multiple times at meetings that money
did not come without a price tag that price tag is you follow the CDC guidelines if the CDC said we had to mask the kids that's why we were masking the kids the CDC said we did we took that money and we were on the line for that money if we didn't follow their rules they want the money back you're doing it again with this Seal program you better read the fine print because you're going down a slippery slope Tom coo Bristol um I I was I've been following cyber security issues for for a number of years and the the dealing with the problem now is fine but there were questions about how they got in in the first place and what what's going to what you're going to do to prevent someone from getting
in again um and I think it might require replacing equipment with more modern equipment because it's after 5 years you know it it's p a so um I think I think you you should be looking Beyond just fixing the the current problem and look for and there's no way to totally block hackers they're going to find some way around but um I know in the case of Peterborough when they got hacked and lost millions of dollars the atom group came in and fixed it but they were still hackable we we had a cyber security person check in and they still were vulnerable after atom group got done with what they did because all they were doing was fixing the problem that was there and so I think it's important to figure out how they got
in so you know that you know what the vulnerability is right now and look at ways to avoid further problems in the future any further public comment see none correspondence now superintendent report okay I'll be kind of brief one my you can tell my voice isn't great nice little bug I picked up here but uh just wanted to share a few few thoughts and things going on I did want to uh commend uh the students for the uh High School drama production a little over a week ago excellent Charles Dickens uh how can you know how can you how can you uh not not love not love that ghost of a Christmas Past and so leou Carol I and but it was a great production and was able to attend it a Sunday afternoon the
auditorium is nicely it was a good a good chance to open up the auditorium to the community and let them see work was done there and I know there was three Productions all together so that was good that uh the community got to come in and enjoy that and enjoy the students performance um you know we've been we've been pretty occupied obviously since the uh the Cyber attack I call it the criminal attack because that's exactly what it was criminal activity that uh led to uh data being encrypted uh I do want to say a couple of things follow up to what you heard tonight I know that uh Jason mentioned the uh sis not being affected and for acronyms but that that acronym is student Information Systems which is important to say what that
acronym is because uh that that particular system is in the cloud and uh and that information wasn't wasn't uh harmed in any way by by this attack so that that's important to knowe uh we have been communicating with our with our staff oury employees uh about about the the attack and keeping them up to date on potential uh uh information you know that that could that could have been lost as a part of that information that could have been accessed uh by these actors as a part of that and trying to keep people informed and working with our group to protect our employees um I I would say that you know sometimes sometimes adversity kind of pulls people together and I think this has certainly been adversity I've seen people pulling together sacrificing we're finding
creative ways to get copying done and printing done and keep uh keep schools with what they need the best we can that's not to say that everybody has everything they need or it's normal because it's not in some cases but in many cases uh due to a teachers Ingenuity and flexibility and creativity which I saw a lot of um in my visit the classrooms I just I just want to commend them especially uh for making it work and Ma on student side as well U I know this has not been an ideal situation for students by any means but uh we are on the road we will recover uh we'll build back a system that's uh that's better uh and better protected in the future we learn from learn from the past as they say
um last uh last week during uh uh early release we had a uh a staff development session around visible learning this is a continuing part of our our staff development with staff with teachers and per Educators who attended this and and program Specialists and again really trying to focus on academics and and focusing our energy on making sure that it's very clear to students what they should learn that's job one that's step number one what is it we're going to be learning today as part of this lesson or part of this unit U why is it important to learn this you know how you going to use this what what does this lead to um and then again having students share in this understanding of self- evaluation along with teacher evaluation of how well they've
learned it in other words students being able to show yeah this is this is what I was supposed to learn this is why I need to learn it and this is EV Ence that I've learned it and again it's a two-way it's a it's a combination it doesn't mean it's I don't want anyone to take walk away from the say now students are grading their own papers that's not what I mean teachers are still are still providing feedback teachers are still doing the work that traditionally teacher did but we try to get students to own that learning as well and be a part of that self-reflection self- evaluation process um The Wellness uh committee was supposed to meet uh this Wednesday at uh 3 p.m. at the uh at the middle school library we pushed
that off a week um and we've moved the time from 3 to 5:00 and again this is in an effort to encourage community members to come and we've got a long road to Hope on this one this this particular topic I think I don't want to I don't want to leave any impression that you know next week we'll meet and everything will be fixed that's that's not going to happen it's it's a next week is a starting point uh we re-engage our community we re-engage our our stakeholders and we work together on listening and addressing the concerns that uh were brought forth to this body as well as in other forums you know move forward in in a sensible way and I'm I'm I'm encouraged by some of the comments I hear that yes we
know that students are have suffered as a pandemic and and for various for various reasons we know that you know teaching and learning is probably harder now it has been for a while so I'm encouraged by that what we have to do is make sure that uh as we work through this process we Define it we make it very clear what it is what we're doing what we're not doing involve parents and make sure the parents are notified and and brought into the process um so that's a that's a a first step with the wellness committee starting next week uh moving that time be more accessible um I am working on providing again a pushout document uh so those are on the on the list to get information from the board like or from the
when we have a school board meeting to get the packet this information on one document will have a list of committee meetings and when they are where they are and then also references to go to the website look for agendas and minutes and so on few little steps a few baby steps uh to respond to the request for better communication but uh you've been you've been we heard you and we think it's important that we we improve what we're doing in that area um and I think that that that's all I have for as part of the superintendent report I'll have a few comments later with couple other agenda items as well okay so Wi-Fi printers everything it's so bad just today in my all of my classes today which like I have it's sorry
we couldn't do this because of the printers sorry this blah blah BL blah um me personally my Chemistry Grade is not as high as it should be because of the pring situation um it's very frustr frustrating um and then and with the Wi-Fi supposed to like be where like back to normal and stuff and the Wi-Fi is still giving us issues um that's like even more frustrating because you know if we're not able to have paper copies of things and then when we're also not able to get onto like Google Classroom without like our Chromebooks loading and stuff it's just not working and so um if we're being told that this is how the Wi-Fi is supposed to be um it's not good enough it's um something needs to be changed about it uh NHS
inductions happened it was really great uh been a very large class um and then Winter Carnival as you all walked in you saw on the table all the the canned foods um every class each class who brings in like the most food is going to get points for wi Carnival and um that is is kicking off the entire event um TSA has started um it's their meetings are getting under way they're getting into a pretty good um routine today was media day so all the winter sports had kind of like a picture day but a little more extreme guidance came into all senior advisories today to do credit checks and talked about um being have your Scholars how they're going to be um how they're kind of fixing it so students who took alra one
in 8th grade are now going to qualify for New Hampshire Scholars when um we're being told that we wouldn't be able to because of something about how graduation credits were different than the new scholar credits it was really complicated and um thankfully miss chosy the new G counselor she looked at this and she was like this doesn't make sense um you guys deserve better than this and so she and Ry are working really hard together to fix that na can I just verify it's credits to graduate not a financial credit check right yeah I saw some you know maybe there was some concern so it's the their credits to graduate they're not doing running their Financial Credit um and so freshman sophomore and juniors have all gone through their um red really man did suicide
prevention training and seniors have it this week um back to win sports girls basketball on Friday killed it um 4729 versus inner Lakes um shout out Riley Barney with 30 points it was awesome and then math team uh last meet we came in first with 87 points um and then Wednesday we are going to karge and are hopefully gonna win again because we're awesome like that go M team um five high school students went to the um New England all band festival at PSU and then um another nine students went to the All State um festival at Manchester Memorial High School um those are both pretty awesome things that kind of dropped off during Co but it's really awesome that the new band and cor teachers um getting those programs back into the school um
was that auditions or people that actually got accepted they played and like went to and then tomorrow 12 Winter concert will be here for um band and Forest too um and then alumni day for any prior newbound alumni on the 22nd can come in um talk to old teachers talk to students you know give students a little bit perspective about what you did um after graduating and um that's just a really great opportunity for students to kind of see um how what we're learning in the classroom can um you know impact what happens outside and um and then my last thing is probably um are I I want to ask if um a lot of these concerns stuff are actually about children students well-being or if it's worried um about like the cost and the
money that goes into um providing students these kinds of services that's like asking what like what are you asking if we concerned about the cost God no no that's got nothing to do with the money for me anyway um and so I just like to speak for students where it does really feel very often like it's not about us but it's more about the financial more about how things are going to be funded rather than anything else I suggest you reread the minutes of the meetings then and the presentations and what people are actually saying yeah to speak on that for you sure um so first out in the hallway um are 12 gingerbread houses that were created by cooking students here at the high school and they are doing a silent auction to raise
money for Bristol Community Services this is our ninth year of doing this and all of the money raised from the silent auction goes to Bristol Community Services teaching our students to give back to the community that we live in our report comes from New Hampton Community School first grade Mrs CI first grade ERS are becoming readers we are moving from CBC words to words with Blends diagraphs and reading phrases and whole chapters in CK we traveled the world through virtual field trips to learn about different lands and similar stories we got our passports stamped from nine different countries in math we continue to work on composing and decomposing numbers to 10 we are using a personal beaded number line to give us hands-on experience lastly a crazy classroom elf flew in from the North Pole
and we are journaling about him daily second grade Mrs Adams students are learning about ancient civilizations they are able to describe the necessary components that all civilizations need in this unit they are learning about different city states in Greece and the important things they have contributed to our world at the end of the unit they will participate in the Winter Olympics Games grade three Miss duet third graders have been busy we've been writing up a storm and perfecting opinion paragraphs classifying animals has been the focus in literacy can you name the five animal groups that are have vertebraes I don't know that I could the third graders certainly can students have been working on Bend diagrams and basic note taking while reading about animal classifications and characteristics lastly in mathematics our Focus has been on
time and measurement students have been measuring various items using different measuring tools pan and balance scales rulers thermometers measuring tapes and number lines stop by our classroom to check out our animal projects before holiday break fourth grade Mrs bison the fourth graders at New Hampton Community School have been immersed in outdoor place based experiment experiential learning as an extension of their curriculum in addition to studying the plant by the creek next to their school they worked with Mira zapatel a scientist from the Newfound Lakes Region Association to study macro invertebr in the creek for science they also learned about Wildlife Conservation map Reading and how to safely explore New Hampshire as a culminating experience rager Renee FL came to school and answered questions swore the class in as White Mountain National Forest Junior Rangers to

H Career and Technical Center agreement I know we need to we had it we've read it a couple times now yeah so if there if there's any questions any any concerns we have to share we didn't have any earlier and if not then we'll have the board act on approving the the agreement I have a question does it mean that we will be changing our school calendar to meet the lonia school calendar because I thought that was part of the expectation so that would be for the following school year we did it already this year that's why this year's calendar started after Labor Day because we have to try as much as possible to meet up with their calendars like breaks and things like that I knew it was changed for but I wasn't certain
if it was going to change beyond that and that's actually a legislative action directing schools to we have several years to get the Career Tech Center schedules calories more on together but that's uh that's you know with within reason we still have a little bit of leeway and that in the school calendar will uh we'll be working on that I'll be reaching out to the teachers which we always do with that piece and bringing that to the board for consideration after after the first of the year yes you were waving at me I was just is that the article that was just in the L yeah so I can explain it a bit more I was gonna say weren't we already sending so we're already sending kids but to formally have the formal agreement now
that we've been sending for a while we were sending because I understand the confusion we were sending kids for a while to both lonia and ploth we phased out Plymouth and we have quite a few years ago I I'm horrible at timelines but a while ago we decided to go with huitt because there was more choices for the students four or five years ago four five I knew it was a while ago five five okay you guys are better with time frames than I um but now that we've been there for that long to redo the agreement all the other districts have to approve to officially have us in with them officially fulltime so that's why lonia yes there was an article um in the lon daily Senate that lonia approved us but it's because
every school district that sends it to the hug Center has to agree to this agreement so that's fine thank you you're welcome um anybody have any I would just say it's this is fantastic because I have two children that have been in this program in very different areas of it and it's just you can't say enough about it if people aren't aware of it they should definitely look at it as potential option um because it's been just it's phenomenal yeah okay um I need a motion to accept the hu Career and Technical Center agreement so I'll second that any further discussion seeing none all those in favor say I I opposed extensions okay now
