Their comments can be found in the full video of the meeting. The tax cap subcommittee of the school board presented an executive summary based on their work investigating the feasibility and impact if Timberlain were to adopt a tax cap. Their full report can be found on the homepage of the district website. The concluding statement from that report reads, "The committee was in agreement that under the current legislative requirements, implementation of a 2.5% tax cap would increase risk and uncertainty during the budget development process, and the district could not maintain staffing, program, and service levels. At the request of the school board, district administration presented a slideshow to detail

002the current kindergarten model and the fiscal impact of moving to a full day tuitionfree model. The school board requested that district administration continue to investigate the fiscal impact as well as report back on the research-based benefits of full day kindergarten programming at a future meeting. District administration presented the budget to actual report as of the end of September. This is a regular presentation at the second school board meeting each month in order to provide the community with the ability to track the fiscal health of the school district. The school board reviewed the first draft of the warrant. The board will continue to review the warrant at successive meetings in order to provide the community with a real-time information leading up to the deliberative session schedule for Thursday, February 5th. District administration presented an overview of

003the changes to the minimum standards that begin to take effect in the 26 to 27th school year. This will involve significant work across the district and the school board will continue to receive and review policies to this end in preparation for this transition. The specific materials presented can be found in the schoolboard packet. >> The next meeting is November 6th.
