in order for the other. >> All right, we can start. >> We will call to order at 606. >> We have everybody present. Myself, Amanda, Sam Nelson, um Beth Beerworth, Susan Blair, and >> good. Yeah, it's fine. You can close that. It just opens that up. Oh boy. >> Um, we have a couple thing or a few things that we have to add to the agenda. They should be quick. Um, first one will go under quick action items. It's to approve a CVS change form. Um, and then under quick updates, um, we'll call it ED OP. That's Jod's organization. She had reached out to, um, myself. So just clue you into what that is. >> Ed hopp e d o pt. She's looking to run an event and she wanted us to be involved. Um

and then a nomination of director of student services. We'll put that I think after the non-public because we'll probably be talking money, right? Um and that's that's it. >> Sorry. And then I don't know if this needs to go on. We can tie up just a couple loose ends about correspondence. Um yep >> to the burn foundation and the graduating seniors. >> Okay. Put that under quick action. >> Okay. >> All right. Uh we have public forum number one. Go ahead. >> Um, >> is the anything about the after school program and how much that's going to cost finalized? >> Yes. And, um, um, I have not put a post up yet. I need to. Um, we were giving the playground announcement some time to be up and then I was very busy all week.

But, um, we have we actually signed the memorandum yet? We're we're gonna sign a memorandum with the afterare folks and um basically the bottom line is it works out to um if you sign up for if you you can get basically the full five days all day from start time 8:30. >> So school starts right. So we open the doors at 8 >> 8:00 until as late as 5:30 in the evening. And it would be$269 per week is what it works out to because it was 69 extra for the for the afterare. Correct. And then 200 for the main curriculum >> preschool. >> So the afterare is $69 a week. >> 269 or 69. >> Well, if you want to come for the the full preschool all day, five days a week. >> Okay. >>

That's 269. >> Got it. Just after school. >> Just after school be 69 >> for the week. >> For a week. And is it the same if you only send your child three days? >> No, it's cheaper. >> It's cheaper. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So then you divide it by the day. >> They have a daily rate. I think that's like 30 something dollars. >> $33 is a drop in rate. >> Okay. >> They've got a whole schedule. It's like drop in, then they've got three days, then they've got five days. So >> it'll it won't be more than the the 69. It'll be something less than that for three days. >> And will it exist if only four people? >> Yes. Apparently, they'll do it if only one shows up. So, >> and

that was still staffed by us. >> No, it's staffed by them. >> Oh, and so they have someone and >> they will they guarantee it. And if they don't >> stash by us. >> Well, originally we were talking about if something happened with our staff here and someone didn't have a job that that's what I would do. I asked Crystal if we could use people that we've said, "Sorry, we don't have a position." Um, but I don't think that's going to be the case. So, um, the manager said that they would hire. Um, if they have sickness or if they can't find someone, she will be here to do that. So, she has guaranteed that it will be covered. And to confirm, if you're only using after school care and you're using it 5 days

a week, it starts around 2:15, 2:30. >> No, it would just be $69 for >> Right. But the time, right? >> Oh. Oh, yeah. Sorry. >> Yeah. As soon as school gets out here is when it would start. So that's 2:15. Okay. Well, actually, isn't it 11:30? Because that's when preschool >> 11:30 for preschool. Thank you. Um, and then there's the Friday where there is no preschool classes. So they would be here for a full day. >> Okay. I'm just kind of think if there were school age kids that needed to come and they're coming from >> we have an agreement that Kier students only who ride the bus who come by here if they need after school care they can acquire after school care. >> Okay. So for no charge >> for no charge.

>> This is our Cudon students who chair >> Sarge. Correct. >> No, there's many little back. >> Okay. A lot of moving pieces, not moving pieces, but >> Okay, we'll go with it. >> It's particularly attractive for folks that want to have their kid in for the full fiveday program >> because the afterare piece is basically subsidized through grants and programs and whatnot. So, they gave it to us for a very low rate. It's federally and state funded so they do very well. >> So just a theoretical if you were a CNO student who is now going to Sunipe and you happen to be getting back here somehow you need after school care. >> The arrangement I have with um healthy kids is for Kassage students. I have not mentioned any other students other than

K. >> Okay. I don't know. I don't know if that was intentional to have it just be care. I think that's just >> I think it was because of the bus. Yeah. >> So, we can if >> we can explore if other people are interested, they can reach out to me and then we'll go from there on a casebyase basis. >> That's kind of what it sounds like. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> And then that will that person will be like just a certified like caregiver. Yes, they do all of the trainings themselves. They do CPR, they do child care. So, they're certifi not certified as we are certified, but certified in child care, CPR, first aid, all of the things that are required associated with and we're al we also

will be licensed. This facility, Little Red, will be licensed as an afterchool care facility. >> Nice. Great. Thank you. It's quite a process. I'm learning a lot. >> That's >> I hope that helps. >> Yeah. >> If you need more information, just let me know because the files sitting right out there and I can certainly pull up the other costs associated with it, too. Okay. >> Okay. Anything else from the public? All right. We'll move on to some quick action items. First, uh we need to approve two sets of minutes, April 21st and May 7th. And I would motion that that we approve with um noted amendments. >> Second. >> All those in favor? >> I'll take the shot in before I leave. >> All right. And then we just added um Oh, the CPS

change form. Um this was something that we talked about in an earlier working meeting. >> Yes. And we didn't actually sign this because I think with the times there was a question on there about the name of the school to revised it, but she has to get it submitted now. The thing that just says we're going to we're changing the grade levels that we CDS. Want to pass it around? >> Sure. Yeah. And I can project it, too. >> You guys already looked at it several months ago. >> Yeah. I just need to get that submitted. >> Should be the same. >> I don't want to be in charge of this anymore. It's too much work. >> What? >> The screen and what's on the screen. So, I was going to pull up that >>

R readiness is our readiness under >> Yes, that's readiness. I was surprised to see that. So I sort of put a line through it because we've never had a readiness. It's it's a little convoluted because >> one says you're deleting but we didn't have you know so I did the best I could. If they want to call me and ask me questions that's fine. Um, when Aaron read the first one I did, he said that this is confusing the way you did it. And I was trying to delete the fact that we really didn't have um prek and R in the grade levels. >> Oh, that's why I was like, >> yeah. And so I just we're dropping one, two, three, and four. And we're adding preK, but we're not adding K because we already

have K. So, it's not a very easy form to delineate, but if they have questions, I'll answer their questions. >> I think we just need a motion from the board to approve that and she can submit it, right? Signatures. >> Um, I just need the minutes from tonight's board meeting that says this is what we are doing. We are Please attach board minutes approving these changes. >> Okay. So, moved. I will make a motion to um drop grades one through three and four and add school. Maybe put that detail in there and then >> for the 2627 school year and then I will be able to submit it with this document. >> Okay. Second. All >> those in favor. Right. >> Quick updates. Kindergarten visitation day. >> So, so I want really for Sam to

to give her perspective, and I'm sorry, Sam, to put you on the spot, but I thought it was a wonderful event for I think the five-year-olds as well as the parents. Um, what happened was the parents just hung and talked and I talked and talked some more like I can if I'm comfortable. Um, and I I believe they found it informative and they asked questions and I think they got to know each other a little bit. So, we actually had eight students join us. Um, I think it was eight anyway. No, we have eight enrolled and I think we had six join us. Yes. So, um I thought it was a wonderful opportunity for the kids to play. I think it built a level of comfort for the children. Some of them didn't want to

go home. Um and that was sort of funny. Um but just it was good. We get some beginning benchmarks for the kids because the centers we did were for beginning benchmarks. Um and the teachers are very excited about next school year. So, >> not a lot to share, but just I think it was it was wellreceived. But you you say something. >> Um, I agree. I think it went well. Most of the kids did fine coming in here. Some of them struggled a little bit. So, it was good to have that initial school. Um, but yeah, I think I think it went well. >> Nice to hear. Thanks. Put you on the spot. >> Okay. Um, next we have this edop thing. Um, Jody sent us an email. Uh, I don't know when it was

like, but maybe several weeks ago. Anyways, um, >> all of us are just >> No, she just submitted it to me and I I basically passed it on to to Sue. um she's organizing one of her fairs or whatever they they are um pet expose that she does and she wanted to include uh public schools in the area and so maybe you can just update kind of because she spoke to Jody afterwards and got some more insight and >> so essentially she was asking for all of the small schools the village schools to come together in support of um an edop o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o

o o o o o opp opportunity. So you know what what is in the area for families that are looking for something different for the kids as far as education? Um I reached out to um I believe it was five village schools. I received one response saying I'll take it before my board the end of this month. Um and essentially I've heard nothing more. Um, I wrote Jod and said, "Things are getting really tight for me here. I'm didn't say I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but that's what I feel like I'm doing." Um, and and you know, another time I'd be more than happy to help, but right now it's just getting too close to closing down the school, getting ready for construction and things like that. So,

she said she'd um pursue it with the other. She asked me if I reached out to the principles or the superintendents and I said no that I had reached out to the superintendent. So, um >> that's as far as it went unfortunately. But I think it was just too tight of a time frame for everyone. >> Kind of short notice and we got a lot of movie pieces right now. Yeah. And it sounds like she's handling it regardless. Yeah, >> nothing really. I just wanted to pass it on as I come across the >> I just felt bad that I couldn't help more. I will say I'm looking at their website right now and their director at large has a really clearly political uh description um under you know the our leadership team page um

which makes me question >> um whether we would ever want to be involved with something from this organization. Okay. >> Duly noted. >> It's about um the work of the New Hampshire School Fair funding project. Oh >> um calling it destructive is counter to their mission. >> All right. Um so that was it for updates. um discussion and action items, tuition agreements. There's a number of these to do, right? >> Well, the one thing I wanted I'm I'm trying to sort of harness these and hopefully we can do them all at once, but I don't think we can at this point. Okay. >> The only two that I actually have ready for signing is new fors and um we don't need to do kiosars. This is the last year I believe with Clammont as an

anchor school. So, we don't need to do that one. Um, the rest of them I'm working on. >> Okay. Do you want us to review those, Chad, or would you rather do them all at once? >> I would say it's up to the board. It's board discretion. We either do it tonight or we wait and do them all in June. >> Sun piece hasn't changed, right? >> No. other than the fact that I think because we have now have an anchor school that they're being um respectful of the cost. >> Okay. So that hasn't changed. Um and then we have the new one from Newport as a result of it our situation. So we might want to sign that one. Um, and then I think other than public schools that we have one or two

children at, we have our major ones signed and completed fully executed. >> I don't think we've had any issues with the terms with in the past, right? Double check the numbers and these are what they match with the other. >> I checked them. >> Okay. >> You want to check them? >> I just want to make sure that >> are they in our um folder, sir? I think. >> Yep. They should be. >> You see them playing and I guess right in tuition Newport >> and some of these should be there >> in the same um >> it's all in May. Yeah, it should be all in May. I can pull it. I don't I don't see the one >> has a big schoolhouse on the front of it. >> That's fine. Yeah, >> I

I only see >> I'll pull it up. This is not the right contract. >> Which one still has the base? >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Um, this one's missing our county in one spot. We've got just like a sentence that drops located in the county of and there's nothing. >> So maybe we could do these that are >> Yeah, that would be a good idea just to make sure that they're correct. >> The Newport one on the drive is correct. Just a printed one. >> That's what I thought. >> Yeah. Okay. So, we'll get the right one. >> We don't have another work session. >> We don't. >> Oh, we didn't do our June one because June's >> June is June. Nobody wants >> this is just >> so let's see what fell off

with that one. >> And the key thing here provides full access to all regular education offerings including case management for special ed services. That's good. >> Give me that whole you put it right. >> Oh no. I'm a little bit late. Just want to get new signed. >> It's there, right? >> Yeah, >> do we have it for the way it should be? >> So, what happens is they >> Yeah, they come through wonky and I have to reformat them. >> All right, there we go. That looks this one. >> I see you. I see two tigers. >> The PDF is not good. >> Is PDF good? >> Yes. >> I'm just going to download it as a PDF and then look at it that way. >> Yeah. >> Right. >> A little wonky, too.

>> It's the one that stayed in the drive is okay. >> I worked hard on tuition build quarterly. That's how you normally do it >> or you don't really care, right? >> Yeah, they they traditionally have done monthly. >> So, and we we had talked it doesn't matter >> and they drafted this out. >> Yeah. Quarterly is better for our >> actually it's reads more clean than the one we had before. >> Let's take 5 through 12. 1 through 12. >> Excuse me. Thank you. >> So, we're waiting on Sun Newport. >> Yep. Do a new report because Sunie still says 5 through 12. just caught that one. I saw it and then I said, "No, I didn't." Yeah, I did. taking this so high. >> Yeah. So you have the tuition rates for both

in Newport. So >> and they kept the 165. >> They did regular educational offerings including case management. >> Yep. >> They didn't want it to be different than their other schools. Yeah. Mhm. Well, then I motion to approve the tuition >> but then it has so this right here is just an estimate. >> Correct. >> I that way us into the next topic policy. >> We just holding off on Sophie. >> Yeah. I mean, it's up to you guys, but it look it sounds like there's still a couple little >> I just changed five to one and I wrote Russ. Um, so I amended that. >> Okay. >> I can certainly print it out and you can find it. You want to wait early? >> If it's the same language and it's got the right

language, >> I think we're safe to sign it. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Give ourselves less to do >> at the next meeting. >> All right. I will do >> I would want to just do it. Yep. >> So, here's >> And those highlights won't be in there, right? >> So, those highlights, and I just had Beth check that for the language. >> Yeah. one is that it says it won't be any more than and then it gives you your actual. >> So the beige one is no more than and it says it for both of the and then down below it's giving you the >> actual. Yeah. >> Right. Um >> we're missing a Sullivan. >> Tell me again. Sullivan. >> This agreement at the end, it just drops off the county. >> And yeah,

number 10.1 under the bold also says grades 5 through 12. Thank you. >> Is this one just signed by you? >> No. >> Signed by you. >> Yeah. >> I want to get a just a copy of those once they signed and save. >> So whereas the Cordon School District desires to offer That doesn't make sense. it. Oh, yes it does. It's pupils in grades 1 through 12 the opportunity to attend Sunip School District and Sunipe is willing to receive said Gordon's student pupils. >> It looks like you updated it on there already. >> Yes, I did. So, was there another place that I'm missing one >> below? But you fixed it there. It just wasn't I think what it does is once you do one, it does them all. I think that's how they

have it set up because I didn't change that lower one. Huh. >> So, I'm just going to check and make sure. Okay. And I'm going to take out the highlights. Where did they say up to 16,000? workers. >> So where I highlighted right here, it says for the 2627 school year, the Sun School District will assess per Cuddon student in attendance tuition of up to >> and then below it says the tuition rate which is in yellow for 2627 school year has been set as follows. >> It's different. >> I got to straighten that out. And we've got a date still up in number three. Um, Cen School District kind of in the middle when inform school district no later than October 15, 2025, >> May 26. Thank you. We're all so busy. >> Maybe

I would maybe send this back to Russ with the edits and then bring it back on the next round. >> Yeah. And I've got that highlighted so that he'll pay attention to it. How do you want to word this? Okay. >> All right. So on that one >> um and just to confirm, so we've got um the estimated tuition highlighted in yellow, but this is only a one-year contract. Sun is always a a one-year contract. >> Sometimes they'll give us rates. >> He'll project rates for two or three years. So, we've had that, but generally those contracts unless it specifically says um 27 to 29, >> he usually doesn't >> commit that way. one with that. >> Yep. Good with that. >> Um the next item was the um update our tuition policy. Again, we

put it back on the list. Um I put it in the drive. It's really just one very minor edit. We would take out the the parentheses next to new part that says only for high schools and 2026. And I think that puts it back to the way it was. >> Okay. Um, so we're just editing that one thing. >> Yeah. >> Although since we're on this policy, I thought that one of these private online schools we only approved for a year. >> We did. >> It was um >> Prisma. >> And are they still going? Yeah, they are actually. Well, not absolutely sure. That's going to be under negotiations. >> Maybe come back and tackle that later then if she's not sure. >> Well, it's not her. >> It may be us. >> Oh, okay.

Well, um, should I make a note in here that that was only approved for one year next to that name >> just to make it accurate? >> We say for 256 school year on a trial basis or something. Okay. All right. You guys happy with those ends? >> Yes. But are we looking to actually approve this now or no? Since we're coming back to >> talk about Prisma, >> there may be others that we need to talk about. So, we have a request from a family to look at another school. Um, and I'm in communication with another family about what they're looking at and I'd rather not talk about it right now. Just so there's >> You want to wait on that? >> There's some coming. Yeah, >> I do. >> All right. But I

don't have a problem with you amending this and fixing this now to include Newport because I think that is something families are looking for. >> Um and then >> we can talk about the individual schools that we're looking or families are looking at for us to approve. >> So do we need a motion to accept this as revised? >> Yes. All right. Uh so approve this as revised. H second. All in favor. She doesn't even look. She just sees her head. All right. >> Hi. >> Well, sometimes I try to trick you by sounding so moved. And then you >> I know. And I think that's what happened. >> I just put it all in there. >> It's real soft on my part. >> Okay. So, >> that's basically it for the public portion tonight.

We have a few things to talk about in non-public that are going to take some time. So, we kept the other agenda items fairly brief. >> Um, we have >> And what about the treaty? >> Oh, the nomination of student services. >> Oh, okay. Well, >> the nomination is going to be nonpublic. >> Yeah. Well, the nomination will probably be after nonpublic, but we need to talk about it nonpublish first. >> Okay. And just um for the public awareness, we're um we have an application for some research serve in the um student services director role. So we're going to be um chatting about that in nonpublic and if anything happens in public after that it would be to um move that forward. But um other than that we'll just be adjourning after the non-public. Um

>> we do have one more thing. Uh, we added the correspondence of the burn foundation under quick action items and seniors. >> Thank you. >> I just wanted to um follow up. We had talked about you getting the kids to maybe do an illustration. >> Um, so I've got a note. We all signed it. We'd love for you ladies to sign it. And then Do you have the address? I think it was on the correspondence that I shared with you. >> I can just write >> I can just pull it right out. Um, yeah, I have it right here. But if I pass that along, can we put that stuff together and see? >> Absolutely. Awesome. >> We'll do it this week. How does that >> And then I've got a stack of cards to

send to our seniors again. Um, and I don't know what you think would be the best way to do that. I >> So, we talked about the book. >> Yes. >> So, Dr. Sus's book. Okay. Okay. And we also talked about, I believe we motioned that we'd get a gift card, like a Visa gift card that wouldn't, >> you know, limit them to wherever they wanted to go or however that they wanted to take themselves out to lunch, so be it or whatever. Um, so we did talk about that. So if it's your desire because you're working on those, we can put them all together, package them up, and send them to the students. >> Sounds great. Okay. Um, I also had an idea that I threw this way. You guys can say if you

like it or not, but I thought we could um ask parents to give us like a um head shot and a little write up on their graduating seniors and maybe do a page on the website. >> I maybe have pulled together a graduation announcement. >> I could share. Um, but if you can give me the list, then I will get cards and then do what we all want a quick sign even though I haven't written in them yet. And um, then I can write a little note and get them back to 70. If you tell me how many >> That's a good question. >> I brought eight. I figured that was the max number. I think the five other one's parent. >> Oh yes. Yeah, maybe. >> Yeah, cuz I get all those correspondents. So,

>> your screen is still up there if you don't want us to. >> No, it's fine. I'm just going to go into my drive. We're going to do this little kids on the other So, if you don't mind, I'll give you the list when we're done here because it's all of the kids in the district and I really don't >> Yes. >> want to pull that up. >> Yes, of course. >> Okay. >> And then we can just sign these out at the end. Uh, nothing else. Right. >> So, our next two meetings are June 16th at 6:00 p.m. and July 18th. But, wasn't that going to be our retreat? >> Maybe it was. Mhm. >> But I think we talked about a Saturday. >> No, I have a tenative >> I had a tenative

on the >> Okay. accidentally. >> And did we confirm that? We We're waiting on you, right? S >> did I not email? >> No, I think Yeah. July 8th, I think is what we Yes. July 8th 9 to 3. >> July 8th is the retreat that's open to the public. >> Yeah. Um, my only I got her child care. >> Pretty long. >> Yeah. >> Where are you having it? >> Um, well, I will uh talk to Moon Lake again. We could aim for there. >> Okay. >> We could also lean into our new anchor school center. >> That would be lovely. I mean, that's not in town for anybody who wants to come, but it's a really um >> it's a nice space. >> It's air conditioned. >> Has a light. >> And I

would be happy to ask John about that. >> Yeah, I was going to say I'm more than happy to do that. >> We said to our >> ED center, >> professional development center, >> right in New London. >> Great in New London. >> But let's make sure I mean, don't spread that yet. >> Um, so if you have other correspondence with him in the next week, I mean, I'm happy to hand it to >> Well, I will be corresponding with the family. So, >> Okay. >> I can certainly do that. >> Okay. All right. >> Sure. >> All right. Okay. >> What time did we say? 9 to 3. >> 9 to 3. >> Okay. >> Buckle up. >> Tom is going to have to handle his um duties without me. >> Are you going

to Montana? >> On a cross country trip. >> Nice. >> Is leaving that early? >> No. >> Oh, we'll talk later. Okay. But you got that problem. We getting her out there. >> Are we good to move on? >> Yes. >> So, I'll make a motion to enter non-public under >> one more public forum. >> Yep. >> Oh, yes. Doing this. I'm terrible tonight. It's there >> because it's there, but I just saw that on my um NHPR news feed that they're talking at the state house again about opening. >> Yes, they are. >> Always. >> The Senate one was voted down, but the House one is still alive. But the bills are flying fast and furious right now. So >> my understanding was that they had um uh that they had amended it which

would have made it um not so disastrous for Cuden because it's going to be funded out of the education trust. >> Well, I mean >> doesn't address other issues but it removes the immediate like financial calamity that would have >> I was just reading what they were all writing and basically the woman saying well we don't know the answer to that. They don't know. >> The state the state education representatives from New Hampshire School Administrators association met with the governor I think yesterday. Um and even if they got through this, it has to get at this moment in time. She it's not ready for prime time. So that's really the feeling at the state house from the governor's office. >> But she would not approve it. >> It has to go through her. So we

It's got some movement. It has some movement. Yeah. >> And it's I mean it's still a year or two. >> Yeah. It's still a little bit out there. So >> just like put it to rest. Bring everything back. >> Yeah. Bring it back around. >> Okay. >> I just wanted to make sure everybody was like okay. >> I'm just offering again if you need help deconstructing this place, let me know. I know you want to pass your um so we are on Saturday, June 6. We uh and as you can see looking at Mary Beth's room, Mary Beth has been spending a lot of time already packing up her things. Um some of her furniture has already been moved out, but we are getting together on Saturday. Um, essentially, um, I know Renee will be

here, I will be here, Mary Beth will be here, um, Taylor will be here, and we are going with the utmost organizational fashion to hopefully not all of it because we still have another week of school, but the week of school is a lot of fun things. Um, but we we don't want to destroy the environment for the children because that would be devastating. So, we're only going to take out the true non essential items.
