What's up? >> You got Okay. United States of America and to the republic for it stands one nation under God indivisible. >> My name is So, I'm going to have Kelly do the talking. >> Uh, we're going to start out with the student presentation. [applause] >> Good evening and thank you for giving us the opportunity to share some of the work happening in this grade here at MS. Um, tonight several students will share a little about a project we've recently completed as part of our social studies and literacy instruction. In fifth grade, students study Native American cultures as part of our social studies together. During this unit, students researched different Native American tribes, and learned about where they lived, the types of houses they built, the foods they ate, and important aspects of their culture
and daily life. The this project also connected closely to our reading and writing standards. students practice research skills by readingformational text, identifying key details, and organizing information. Um, plus we also had some really amazing resources from the library here at MDM. Um, then they used kind of all that information to make the trifold for models and we also have some slideshows and um group books. So they will kind of explain more about that coming up. visit the southwestern Texas um somewhere east and the native American tribe right here. Um then the southwest houses um they're like some of them are big and some of them are small and like there's like caves in them so you can go in and the southwest people were known for their pottery. They do pottery for fun and a
lot. And there we tried clothing was like fabric and they ate some of it. And south western people ate different types of corn with every meal and they planted those and that's [applause] >> [applause] >> research western areas of the United States through this tribes region that homes were called such as gem. One interesting fact that I learned I learned is they had a different type of [applause] we have unfortunately maintain this slideshow. to me and some famous people from the northwest is Seattle who is famous for his leadership and determination. Then there's Joseph in 1877 who led his people out of Canada by the United States government from their homes. That's true. Some people and They wanted to make sure all the parts of the animal out of respect. Some kids take care of

Hello, my name is Kaitlyn. For my project, I researched Pacific West area of the United States. For the tribes of this region, their homes were called lighouses and they ate food such as [clears throat] they all had one interesting fact I learned is they all had different. Thank you for listening. [applause] My name is my project. I researched the northeast area of the United States. For the tribes in this region, their homes were called the long house and they ate food such as ears. One interesting fact that I learned is that they made their own pool [applause] for hundreds of years for one and practicality and
environmental protection and culture. expression. They put so hard into so they could describe themselves. [applause] Also, we have we are collaborating with M Miss A, our art teacher and of her curriculum is portraits. So, the students have also picked a famous native. Um, and this is kind of the beginning. We're not quite finished yet. Um, but this is kind of what they've been working on so far for their portrait. Um, and kind of excited to kind of see that collaboration with specialty and that's >> [applause] >> Thank you very much. [applause] >> [applause] >> Turn off. >> Are you screaming? Nice thing to do. for tomorrow. >> Um, thank you so much to the fifth grade. Uh, the next thing is the oath of office. Um, Sierra got the oath of office already. Has a
piece of paper. Um, Sam hasn't gotten it yet, so she's just not You can stop by the office. Um the next part is the board organization. So does anybody have any recommendations for chair or vice chair? >> Kelly agree. So, do we have a motion? Do you want two separate? So, I would get a motion for Rebecca to the chair. All right. All in favor. >> I'll make a motion for Kelly to remain the vice chair. All in favor? >> Um, as far as board committees, we have the academic affairs committee, the finance committee, and the representative to the government school. So, I'll take motions. I'll make a motion for being the representative to the road. I'll second um all in favor. Um okay. Does anybody want to know the fair committee or the finance
committee? So should I make a motion for a motion for Samantha and myself to continue on a committee and um all in favor? >> All right. So does anybody want to be in the fin? Okay. All right. Then I make a motion for Sierra. >> All right. Then I make the motion for second. All in favor? [snorts] >> Was that Um, let's see. Caroline said we have to read the school board member ethics. Do you guys want me to read it out loud? Each member of the school board shall comply with the following provisions. One, attend all regularly scheduled board meetings in so far as possible and become informed concerning issues through adequate meetings. Two, become well acquainted with state laws and state board regulations pertaining to education and support fair enforcement. Three, accept office
as a board member in the means of unselfish service. Four, represent the entire district without favor to any particular. by abstaining from discussion, voting or any attempt to influence the outcome of a public safety process, contract negotiation or any other service related contract whereby they have a financial or personal interest. Six, make decisions only after full discussion at public meetings. Render all decisions based on the available facts and listen to independent judgment and refuse to surrender that judgment to individuals or special interest groups. Seven, remember at all times a board member is one of a team and that the statuto authority extended to the board must be exercised by the board as a corporate body. Eight, recognize that no individual member has authority to speak or act with the entire board except as specifically designated
to do so by board action. N regardless of any difference of opinion, treat all other members of the board in a previous respectful and professional manner to ensure the reasonable performance of responsibilities. 10. Maintain open lines of communication with the superintendent of schools and other members of the Milton School District community. 11. Recognize that final board actions will be supported by all members of the board. Take no private action that will compromise the administration and refrain from private actions which undermine or compromise official board action. 12. Delegate executive functions to disc planning and 13. Respect the confidentiality of information that is privileged under applicable law or it is received in confidence or consecutive session. And then I'll have to >> um This policy was adopted November 8th, 2017. Okay. Um Caroline, you said there was
no agenda review. >> Okay. Nothing to add. Does anyone else have anything to add to the agenda? [clears throat] Um now we have public input. 15 minutes uh three minutes for individuals unless extended by the board. Does anybody have >> my name's Christine President Karen? >> The microphone over there is not connected. So I one of my first questions is is the budget committee when we were going through the budget one of our recommendations and areas that we cut was for the school board take to be cut. Now it's a bottom line budget and basically you guys can do whatever you want as long as the goals of the bottom line. I guess my question is now where everything going to be very tight. Are you guys willing to commit to saving that $10,000 give
or take and putting it to where the true needs are? Um, my second not really question but comment is it seems to be kind of an ongoing thing. Every few years we hear something happening where people decided that they feel so they need to put out scare tactics. One year I guess letters were sent home with kids about how to vote and what the implications of voting one way versus another would do. Um then things settled down last year. We had a a video that was um yet another scare tactic and very misleading um to get the budget that was wished for. And then this year, I'm hearing that a substitute teacher went and told kids to go home and tell their parents that the town's people want to have PE, music, art, and all
of that stuff taken away from them because they would rather have money in the budget. I'm really concerned about behaviors of adults and this substitute is a resident of the town. They have their right to speak about how they feel, but when they walk through the door, they need to drop their opinions there and not interject their political feelings onto our children. No kid should have to come into school and have to worry about financial burdens and what they might miss out on. It didn't happen in my child's classroom that I'm aware of, but to hear that it happened at all school is really upsetting. And I'm coming to you as a board to put forth a policy if there's not one already in place. I feel as though that there needs to be a
policy that states that there should be zero political talk from any adult in this building to our children unless it's a part of the curriculum and it's unbiased. Not all of our kids are on the same understanding level as the next. And my child who does not quite understand how to process things, may hear things and misunderstand. And it affects his behavior. It affects everything with him. And he knows me. Everybody sees everybody in town that comes to meetings knows who that is because he comes to 90% of the meetings with me because I'm involved because I feel that it's important to unfortunately dad works 12-hour night shifts as nurse and can't be home with him all the time. And I explain to my child in an age appropriate manner what I do, why I
do it, and the importance of it. And I don't get into the things that he does not need to be concerned with. And to hear that this is happening is really upsetting. It's also upsetting to hear that these kids are being told that basically their community doesn't care about them. And I'm here to tell you today that is not true. This community cares deeply for our kids. And I care deeply for our kids and my child. There is nothing that I would not do for my kid. nothing. I've left my job. I've rearranged my entire life. I've committed myself to boards and committees that I never really wanted to have anything to do with, but I do it because it's the best thing for my child and for this community. I've helped start up the
PTA. Thank God I have Nicole and two other moms, Sierra. We've dedicated our time because we feel it's right for our children. And to hear that somebody is putting the thought in our kids' head that we don't care, that this community doesn't care about them is really disheartening. And I'm really sick and tired of the wall that is between the community and the teachers because it's not us against you. We are not voting against you in your budget. We are voting to stay in our homes. We are voting for transparency. I would support, and I've said this a 100 times, I would support the $7 million budget if I got all of the facts and if I got all the questions answered to me appropriately. But I did not. Christine, I'm gonna ask you to
wrap it up. Okay. >> But I want to make it clear if you don't see me enough. I feel like I see I feel like I'm in this building enough and I would do it more to help. But we do care and I'm really sick and tired of this division. And honestly, it's coming. It's coming from your office in your building and your lack of willing to work with us. and it needs to stop. And I'm asking that you put in a policy and that I never hear again about any of this talk go on and kids coming home telling their parents that the community wants to take money and and things away from them. And if I'm crying at because I'm like sad and emotional, it's because I'm so angry that I just See
your door. >> My name just a quick two quick question, one comment question. I'm curious as to how the tuition rate was calculated on this slide that came home. Um, I know that one's meeting and probably the last time came to send her out. It was very funny. She sent out a small postcard and now page mail. Good evening. I'm Rebecca. I'm a teacher here at Milton and I'm speaking tonight because I deeply care about our students, our school community, and the very future of the school. In a school like ours, a budget cut of this size isn't just a number on the spreadsheet. It touches every classroom, every program, and every child. There aren't extra sections or extra staff to absorb the loss. And any change immediately reaches our students sitting in our classrooms
every single day. The community describes our school with the phrase small school big heart. But it is so much more than just a slogan. It is something that you feel when you walk walk through our doors. The students in our school benefit from something special because they are truly known. They are supported by adults who understand their strengths and their struggles and the way that they learn best. In this small school, relationships are not a bonus feature. They are the foundation of everything that we do. And they are what help students feel safe enough to take risks, ask questions, and grow. Now, my concern tonight is for those students because budget decisions made at this level ripple outward into our daily experiences. They affect class sizes, academic supports, enrichment opportunities, and the ability for teachers
to meet the wide range of needs that we meet every day in our classroom. In this very school, there are already limits to what we can offer. When resources are reduced further, the margin becomes even thinner. Now, my hope is that as decisions move forward, the impact on our students remain at the center of our conversations. I also want to emphasize how important and clear and timely communication will be in the weeks ahead. Teachers are planners by nature. We think ahead about curriculum, classroom structure, and how to support the students that we teach next year. Right now, uncertainty makes that planning very difficult. Now, as educators, we want to be proactive rather than reactive. if there will be changes to staffing, programming, or student supports. We just ask that those decisions and possibilities be communicated
as quickly as possible. The more information that teachers have, the better we can prepare and adapt and ensure that students continue to feel stable and supported. Ultimately, teachers and the school board have share the same same goal is protecting the quality of education that our students receive. Even in these difficult financial moments, the children in our classroom deserve stability, thoughtful planning, and adults who are equipped to support them. Thank you so much for your time and for all that you do for this district, and for considering the perspective of teachers who work with these students every day. Our hope is that together we can move forward in a way that keeps our students needs at the center of every decision. Thank you. EXCUSE [applause] ME. I just have to say just to clarify something. This
town has always asked for >> Can you Can you say your name, sir? >> Huh? >> Can you say your name? >> Oh, I'm sorry. without any lived here for over 40 years. I've had no gone to the park where there was no school in the south and I'm glad we have one now and I'm wishing that everybody would support this. But the one thing that I have noticed that we do ask for clarity and with comments that are made about I think we shouldn't have um something that tells us when the meetings are, what the meetings are about, not telling anybody how to vote, but the fact that they need to vote whatever way they want to. Never has I have I seen anything on any of the on the things on the the
websites or whatever has never said you need to vote for Sierra because she'd make a good school board member or you need to vote for heaven. Never has it been like that. It's always the transparency of letting people know coming from a time when maybe five people would show up to a school board meeting and you voted on major budgets all by yourselves. And now the people have uh notifications that you know tonight you're going to have a school board meeting. If you want to hear your voice heard, please attend. That's the only message that has been sent. And I resent the fact that there are people in this auditorium that talk about, oh, we don't want any politics in it. But that's exactly where it's still coming from. I think we're all working together
for our children. The children that we love, my grand my grandchildren, my regular children who are trying to wade their way through this mess of a year that they're having and trying to support the teachers and the school. With that being said, I have also made comments about when you present budgets, you have to remember that the majority of this town are seniors now. Our budgets are tight. We don't have extra hours where we can make more money. So, we need to be very aware of how and what, excuse me, how and why um you're asking for this money. I would like to see a breakdown of everybody that you have working for you, whether it's in the town or whether it's in the school. How much could the parents make? How much? Because then
when you can see what where the money's going, you have a better understanding of why our budget is so high. school's aren't cheap and um we should try to support support the school. >> Hi, my name is Tim F. Um wasn't actually planning on saying anything but I came in and I actually just wanted to nothing to do with the budget or anything. Just want to thank the teachers. I've noticed an unbelievable improvement in my son Oscar in his not only wanting to but his enjoyment in learning now. And I mean we went from when he first started him not wanting to participate in PE class. In fact, I was told by M several times he sit up and now he actively participates. He enjoys reading. He enjoys doing all kinds of things that I
wasn't expecting him to really get into, which is great. And again, this has got nothing to do with budgets. I don't really do anything. It was just I wanted to manage them because I realized when I came here that I have never actually done I've never publicly thank them for their dedication and for all the work they've done and for all you guys too. I mean, I know the American Heather Co. I know the work that goes into it and the time that everybody at the table spends sacrifices and I really do appreciate and that's all I want to say. It's got nothing to do with politics, got nothing to do with budgets. I just again want to say thank you. [applause] Um, [snorts] I also here for over 40 years. Um, I support building
the school. I'm glad that we did. I certainly want to see it succeed. I believe that every child should have the opportunity for quality quality education. I don't however feel that teacher should be telling the kids that the residents of this town want to see anything. My question to the school board is, do any of you feel like the taxpayers of this town want to see things be taken away from? That's a yes question. and three answers. Is that is that what >> this is your opportunity to speak without exactly? >> Okay. So, >> so public responses come month after. >> Okay. Um secondly, I I feel as though If that's true and a teacher did make a statement like that, the times people deserve to know whether that was done or not. And then
my next question after that, if it is yes, then what action will be taken to make sure that doesn't happen again or is that permissible? from your point of view. Um, far as the transparency, I've been to a few meetings. I don't think it's, uh, where it should be. I agree 100% that we should be able to I know that I went to the town and my salaries out there. I don't have a problem with it. Um, as well as our budget is broken down by line easily understood by I understand that yours is uh much more complex. Um but perhaps we could do a better job. Thank you and welcome aboard. >> [snorts] >> the responses to the February questions. Um so the first question was what is the ninth warrant article and the
answer was the nurse salary warrant article was removed leaving only eight warranties. Uh the second question was are all wages encumbered and what is the $72,000 balance and the answer is yes they are all encumbered but a special education resignation resulted in a position being posted. There's also a trip bus driver position posted following a resignation. Um the question was is the school snowblower gas or electric? Uh the principal is getting my help on that. Um the um the next question was about the third bus and whether the insurance company paid out the bus from the accident the value of the bus. There was another document about that. >> Okay. I don't have that in the um the next question was is fund three in the revenue financial page. Uh one fund three is for
capital improvements and there was no activity change. Um the next one is also in the bus history document. Um that was delivered. Okay. Um the next question was about the tax impact on the $6 million budget. Um it would be a increase of 70 cents per thousand for a tax rate of $10 million.79. And um the tax impact on the budget that didn't pass would have been an increase of $31 per thousand. An estimated tax rate of $13.9. And then um for question number nine, it has to increases in the proposed budget. And this gives um links to other times that those info is on the website. Okay. Um, we have the acceptance of minutes for the February 4th >> school board meeting. >> Um, I'll second them. I All in favor? >> I And
the seven school board meeting. Um, >> I'll second. And I >> Yeah. And now we go to the superintendent. >> Um, thank you so much and thank you so much to our fifth graders who came and presented tonight. Um and just to start off with the gas powered snow and release. Um so a couple things to let the community know about. Um first of all with the help of the fire and police department we did complete our second markdown throughout the year. Um in the last month in partnership with the Portsouth annual shipyard and they had a STEM day all little spent their specials time engaging in challenges with ports shipyard volunteers including our prek students. Our students had a wonderful time. This is a free program that is supported by Brooklyn shipyard and they
brought materials and volunteers for the day. It was wonderful. I also want to share that March is literacy in our schools month and and hitting the ground running. Uh we got a couple different things going on this month. We are currently running a readathon. As of the end of last week, we were over 16,000 minutes read. That is at home and in school. Today we are over 20,000 minutes read. Um some of our classes have a friend competition going, some not. Um we have guest readers coming in from uh next week to promote literacy. Each classroom is receiving at least two readers. So we're excited about that. be invited in the town uh people in the town of um in addition we are going to be doing two drop everything in green days um next
week and also next week I want to promote our fluency fair um the fluency fair promotes both new and fluency it'll feature make and take games for families to make with their students and take home with them and I want to mention that we fund that fluency fair entirely through um staff when fundraising Um, so things like our school dances, um, and other fundraisers that our staff help students coordinate, that is how we behave, things like that. Um, please stop by and Thursday, March 19th at 5:00 p.m. And I also want to add a thank you to our alpaca house PTA for fundraising to support our field trips. Um, as you know, field trips are exclusively funded by either fundraising or parents. Um we have two trips um that we are fun we fundraised for
or they fundraised for from our our sales for um Valentine's Day. So we have our seventh um and eighth grade banded course performances up at the middle school next Friday after the sixth graders get to go along with uh getting to see some of the arts programming up there. Um and then we are also uh going to be sending a bus to the state house for our first graders to learn more about New Hampshire government. That'll be at the end of the year. Those are funded by our package house. In addition um I'm excited to announce that we received funding for students to visit the Courier Art Museum in Manchester. Um and that was provided by the Courier funds. So, thank you so much our teacher for organizing that trip and giving funding for both
our bus and for student admission. I want to add our next alpaca meeting is April 2nd at 5:30. So, thank you so much. Thank you very much. Any questions? Thank you so much. Okay, the next item uh under superintendent's report is water tank repair. So in our um water remediation process that um has our our water is all clean, drinkable, wonderful. But in that process uh they did find that a different tank has a leak has a crack in it and is leaking. Uh so we have obtained two quotes for the work. Um one is $6,735. One is $9,990 from Second Wind. Uh we heard from the first company, it's Federal Piping Company, um that they did not include everything that we needed. Um so we need more information from them. they did not include
the um the the media inside the media inside of the tank. So um I don't think that they knew to what extent the project uh entailed. Um so there's that. Second one is the same company that we use for the collaborative mediation project. But the question for the board tonight is um you could um tonight decide to use unspent operating funds and um decide between these bids um or you could vote to schedule a public hearing um at another time whether a separate meeting or at your April meeting um to consider a withdrawal out of the construction renovation and repair fund. Um and consider those those bids. That fund currently has a balance of $258,652 and uh we would recommend a hearing um so that you can um consider the bid so we can have
better estimate on that second bid and also um you know there could be unanticipated costs even though we only have a quart of yet um to go. Um I think it's better to be safe to consider. You know, that's what that trust is for um rather than using unspent funds at this time of year. That's for the board to consider. >> I did provide a memo with two possible motions um if you wanted to use either. One is use unspent funs and want us to schedule a public hearing. >> Um, so Rebecca said she thinks the public hearing is a good idea. I also think the public hearing is a good idea. Does have >> Would we be able to get the Would we be able to get an updated quote from >> Yeah. I
think that I think public You also have to keep in mind that it could actually >> request that f also provides a breakdown of the cost. So I motion that we schedule a public hearing. Is um should we wait for the April meeting or do we have that? >> You guys are okay with the April meeting. Okay. All right. Okay. I motion that we schedule a public hearing on April 10th to consider the withdrawal of clause from construction renovation repair for the repair and leak and to the submitted for um all in favor. I >> thank you. The last item is February financial reports. Kathy O [snorts] um would not be here tonight. She did provide her report. Approximately 2/3 of the fiscal year is completed. Expenditures and incumbrances are generally tracking with expected ranges.
There are several lines requiring um continued attention, close monitoring of special education, contractual obligations are being fulfilled. Transportation um 49.21% remaining fuel and wages are within expected ranges. So overall district remains in stable position with the current budget. Any questions question there's any questions. Are we good to um so it says chairperson's report but the first thing on the chairperson's report is voting results and um that is the school district clerk but she has asked me to give the voting results so >> thanks Kelly >> no problem um I'm just gonna read Um, so Martell was elected to a three-year term on the school board. Sierra was elected to a one-year term on the school board. Um, Nicole Wright uh was elected to be school district clerk again. Um, [sighs] Valerie Burke got the most
votes for school district moderator. Um, Linda Adamo got the most votes for school district treasurer. Um, and the most votes for school district deputy treasurer were for Bethany Mills. Um, with article two on the budget, with the next page, sorry. With article two on the budget, the yes votes were 183 and the no votes were 118. Um, for article three, the yes votes were 82 and the no votes were 216. For article four, the yes votes were 191 and the no votes were 107. For article five, the yes votes were 212 and the no votes were 81. For article 6, the yes votes were 207 and the no votes were 86. And for article 7, the yes votes were 148 and the no votes were 145. Sorry. Um, now for um we have provided you
with um this light yellow sheets. This is the default budget for next year. So it's about some notes. The default budget is about 6,448,97. We also provide some copies to the budget. Um we provide the board also with a um a staff list and also with And um with the idea that the board can um look at these numbers and start how we will cut from these numbers to reach the approved 16 that was approved by voters. She said the workshop nature So, I'm preparing the board to schedule a workshop within these Okay. I'll make this make a motion to schedule a workshop to discuss the budget. Um prior to administrative favores Got it. So we need to vote. >> So take a look and see if they're all the second Wednesday of the month
except for >> November, January, and February. November you said it'sual holiday. >> Okay. So we don't have and then the January one we wanted to have before the filing deadline and then session. All right. Does everyone agree with that? Can we have a motion? motion motion to approve. >> Um, I'll second the motion to direct. >> And all in favor? So this is just the initial start of this. Um I was contacted by a company that offers child care um before and after school programs uh within school districts um that is looking to um see if we might be interested. it. I've done a little bit of research on this program. They offer before and after school programs from 6:45 to 8, after school from 3 to 6. They cover breaks and seminars. Uh so
I've asked them to send me more information so I can go over that with Ivy and see if that's something that you might be interested in having here. Um they do uh accept federal subsidies. They offer discounts for multiple um multiple children in the program. Um and they offer They only need 15 to start the program. So a pretty low numbers in comparison to other programs we've seen. Um and they have ways to validate. So there's no startup costs to us to actually have the program come in. So I will get more information to you and then we can bring it over to the board um to see if we want to bring them into >> um 6. Yeah. 6:45 to 8:00 a.m. So things would in the in the morning. Yeah. And then 300
p.m. to 6 3 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. So those times would that's kind of what they bring to the table. >> Some of the things they said they offer they were like they do like homework help and things like that. So they're doing lots of different programs. So definitely something that might be interested to the town. Okay. Um so for active affairs we have about 16 policies um for second read or that we are recommending for second read. So those are JCA change of school or assignment best interest manifest status hardship. JH student attendance, absences and truency. J IC school district internet access for students. JJIC eligibility for intercolastic athletes. JJ as access to public school programs by non-public charter school and home education pupils. JKA corporal punishment. JLC school health services. JLCD administering medication
to students. JLCJA emergency plan for sports related injur injuries and additional protocols for athletic participation. JLDBA behavior management and intervention JLF reporting child abuse ordinance collect JLP parent notification of and involvement in student welfare. KA school family and community partnerships. KB 101 family and community engagement. KFD use and location of automatic intern external differentiators. LDA student teachers and interns. Does anybody have any questions about those? I think we just >> Yes. Um so I'll make a motion that we adopt the policies as read. At our April meeting, we will have five policies um that we recommend for adoption for read. >> All in favor? >> Sorry. Okay. So for the April 8th meeting, we have um five policies that we are recommending for adoption for the first read, eight policies that we will be recommending
for revision and 27 policies that we are recommending to withdraw. >> Most of those things that are being withdrawn are covered in other policies. finance committee update is that the default budget did not pass. So, we're going to be holding a workshop to work through how we're going to um put in place the [clears throat] $6 million budget. We will let you know folks that once we have um for the community relations update, we have our new uh social media page that we created. It's called Middleton New Hampshire School Board. If you have not seen it yet, please um follow that page. Um we are sharing important information um upcoming meeting information and um hopefully more to come. It just went live on Thursday. We I'm pretty proud of it. We already have 40 followers.
I think that's a big big deal for only a couple days. Um and we have received some positive feedback so far. Um, so for advanced learning, uh, the principal already mentioned the MAS fluency fair from 5 to 6:30 on the 19th and, um, the next school board meeting is April 10th at school. And then we're back to The public input. I'm a teacher and philosophy. Um I'm I'm eager to hear what you're thinking because we're just we're very concerned about this budget of course and how this is going to impact all of our careers. Um, and it's just very important to us that we have the situation in a timely manner because we're, you know, having to consider a lot of factors as moving forward. Um, and as we face this uncertainty, it kind of
can go. So, you start imagining, you know, what is your job going to be like without this about that? Um, and I just don't want to lose people unnecessarily because too much time has gone by without a lot of information. So, I just wanted to put that urgency. Thank you. Hi, listen. I think you answered my question. So, the workshop that you guys are going to have will be posted on the new web page that you created. I have a question for superintendent. You had Sorry. Um, you had mentioned that um you had invited town to come and meet each other. Where was that posted? Um, as a as a resident, I've seen nothing about the school. Um, and I'm wondering if someone could educate me about stuff like that. I would love to participate.
>> Where would I find information? >> So, we respond back to the following month. So, we'll get to that responsible. I'll let you were going first. I'm just closer. >> Tracy down. Um Rebecca here. Thank you. >> And I just have a statement or a comment. Um you are all community members for the most part. I know all of you, but a lot of people in the room know all of you. I really feel coming to these meetings when you are stoic and cold quite honestly and not saying yes or no to a simple question makes you not human. All the other boards in town talk to the residents when they're here. I really wouldn't reconsider that. I know Kelly I've known you for decades and when we were at individual board meetings Farmington Middleton
and then the area of Greenman people talked to us. I will exchange this with the school. It's very unapproachable. I think that's where a lot of the hostility comes in. >> Thank you. >> How are you? Uh any of you PE from Harington? Um with these budget cuts, we've basically been told it's going to be majority personnel. Um, and so we're just really pushing on that urgency of we are in the prime time hiring right now. So we love to get answers sooner rather than later. That's it. Thanks. >> Is there anything else? Um, >> just real quick, maybe I can end this on a different note. Um, out here at the Middleton Elementary School playground on April 11th, the Middle Star recreation will be doing their flashlight game hunt for the kids and we'd
love to see all of you there. Um, it's going to start around 7:30 for the little ones and then we'll do the big ones after. >> This is for Is there I know usually you ask for donations for it. Is there a place to drop stuff off? >> Um, yeah, it can be dropped off um at the office at the town hall. Okay. >> Or you can get in touch with one of the rep members. >> I'm sorry. >> Do you need eggs, too? >> Yes, we're looking for eggs and candy donations. Thank you. [cough] >> Yes. Um, does anybody have I'd like to welcome Sierra and welcome back Samantha. We're happy to have you guys here. Look forward to figure out who's next year. >> Um I guess I don't have Um, I need
a motion to go in public. >> They don't. >> Yeah. >> All right. I'll motion to go into paper. Let's do that.
