I call this committee the whole meeting to order on Monday, March 9th, 2026 at 6 PM. If we could please take a roll call. >> Mindy Hartman >> here. >> Stacy Salt Darling >> here. >> Jason Janzik >> here. >> Katherine Potter >> here. >> Julie Jetty >> here. >> Bridget Sandlin >> here. >> Next up, we have the acceptance of the agenda. Items for discussion may be added to the agenda at the start of the meeting at the request of the superintendent or any board member upon majority approval of those members present. Does any board member have an item to add tonight? Hearing none. Next up, we have community input. No one is here to make community input, so I'll skip that part. Next up, we have the approval of previous meeting minutes. The

approval of the minutes from February 17, 2026 meeting. Does any committee member does any board member have any changes to the minutes? >> Hearing none, we can move those to consent. Next up, we have discussion topics. First up, we have the review of bills. Is there any questions for Mr. Shepard? Hearing none, you can move us to consent, please. Next up, we have the facility usage fee update. Mr. Shepard. >> Yes. So, just wanted to give a quick update in light of the discussion that we had at I believe the last uh the last board meeting. Um we uh Mr. Martin and I went back and started having discussions with CBA since they are uh one of the largest groups that uses our facilities on a regular basis. Uh and those those discussions are going

to be ongoing. Um they requested that uh uh we really wait until after their season so that they have uh time available to to meet and really hammer out an agreement. We're not opposed to this. Uh so what our tenative plan is is to bring forward next week um the same facility fees, keep them flat uh for one more year. Uh but we are going to make the addition of the snow removal since it seemed like everyone was on board with that particular component. Uh but we felt it prudent to keep the fees flat because this decision would not only impact the CBA, but it also impacts the park district and other organizations that utilize our facilities. Uh the plan would be then to discuss uh a more long-term agreement with CBA uh set those

facility rates and then uh Mr. Martin will be bringing those back to you um most likely in December. We want to get that out there earlier uh rather than later uh to give our um partners uh time to adjust their fee schedule if needed. So that's where we're at. So be on the lookout for uh facility usage remaining flat plus the snow removal fee. Thank you for going back and checking those numbers and making it work. Appreciate that. >> Where are we landing on this snow removal fee? Like are we doing a percentage or a nominal like you're going to kick in? >> I think it was I think it was 250. >> 250. Okay. I could >> um I think the plan was to leave it at that point and then evaluate it as

we go through um the the next uh winner. >> Thank you on that really quick though. If say they cancel then and they don't come, can they cancel last minute without having to pay anything? >> If they cancel and we we know about it. Um and generally they're very good at letting us know when they're not in the facilities. Uh if if they cancel, we can then cancel the snow removal or at least push it back to when we normally would and then they would not be on uh the hook for that fee. >> Okay. Thanks. >> I'm sure we would write that in their agreement anyway. Like you have to let us know so many hours before or whatever. >> Yeah, we would. And uh the CBA is a very good partner. They they

uh um let us know um uh in its very timely fashion when they're not going to be using the facilities. >> Perfect. Thank you. Uh looks like that's all the topic uh discussion topics we have tonight. So next we have close session. There's two uh reasons. First is collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives. Deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS120-2C2 and also for the appointment employment compensation discipline performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body 5CS120-2C1. May I have a motion to adjurnn to close session? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Any discussion? Hearing none. If we could take a vote. >> Stacy Salt. >> Darling, >> yes. >> Jason Janick, >> yes. >> Katherine Potter, >> yes. Julie Jetty,

>> yes. >> Bridget Sandlin, >> yes. >> Mindy Hartman, >> yes. >> Okay, that motion is approved. Open session ends at 6:05 p.m. Thank you everyone.
