my doctor. >> Okay, >> tell us when we're ready. All right. Just go ahead. >> Okay. A motion to approve the contract between CA and Central 301 Board of Education. >> Motion. >> Second. >> And roll call. >> Orman. >> Uh before I state my vote, I just wanted to give a little background of why I'll be stating it. um the state of the country, no matter what you side with, I think the future isn't quite a state of forms. Um I don't really see, I said it to you guys before, our five-year contract and fiscally responsible. Um first year we're already deficit spending. I don't see this five-year contract being sustainable. I think it's would do a lot of harm to our district. Um hopefully we can manage it. I'm glad CPI did get
in there. Um, but it's a very, very generous contract for the CEA. They wanted Esther gone. They wanted me gone. They worked with a grassroots organization. Um, Morgan was able to push the old board's hand at getting Esther to resign. Um, so I think that works out. I think the majority of the people who were elected were all CEA endorsed. To me, it kind of says I understand it now. I think there were relationships built um before this and I think CA got what they wanted um which is good for them. I'm not against giving the teachers an increase. I just don't think this amount of increase which they just got three years ago is is worthwhile. um in a five-year contract. I hope you guys aren't one and doneers for the board, but it's
almost like we're giving a five-year contract. You may not even be here in five years to renegotiate or to see that some things didn't work. So, with all that being said, I have to vote no. >> Gman, I'm sorry. Um Den, >> yes. First, >> yes. >> MVA, >> yes. >> Papis, >> yes. >> Ward, >> yes. >> Was >> before I give my vote, I'll say something as well. I think um regardless of who was endorsed by who um for this last election, regardless of what our backgrounds are, we've said it a bunch of times, we have to come together as individuals collectively to for the betterment of our kids. Um I'm extremely proud of this contract. I think that there was a lot of collaboration between the board and the CA to um
help our teachers and to move forward um with making our district the best it can be for our kids. So my vote is yes. >> Motion passes. >> Uh motion and a second are required to approve salary increase for non-UN employees. >> So moved. >> Second. And roll call, please. >> Hurst, >> yes. >> Murva, >> yes. >> Papis, >> yes. >> Ward, >> yes. >> Dogen, >> yes. >> Foreman, >> yes. >> Was >> yes. >> Motion passes. >> And motion and second are required to appoint. >> Okay. Tim Kilray as the new interim superintendent. >> So moved. >> Second. Roll call, please. >> Murva, >> yes. >> Papus, >> yes. >> Ward, >> yes. >> Doen, >> yes. >> Orman, >> yes. >> First, >> yes. >> Wasson, >> yes. >> Motion passes.
>> Okay, now we need a motion and a second to adjourn. >> Second. >> And all in favor? >> I I motion passes.
