001I so now that we've learned about how to navigate the WordPress dashboard we can take a look at some forms of content you can produce on WordPress posts and pages firstly we should learn what the differences are between posts and pages I'll show you an example of a wordpress created website that has both posts and pages on it so I'll go to wordpress.com here on the main page these are all posts and these posts are all found on this main page this site includes many posts all of these on the front page here are posts and have been added to the blog the blog page displays posts in chronological entries posts are blog entries that can be added whenever clicking on a post takes you to another page that allows you to see more of
002that post so I'll click on this post here and you'll see it takes me to another page where i can see the full post similar to a blog entry posts also allow you to add tags to the post tags are a great navigational aid as they are related keywords that you can add to the post which can then be searched by users of your site to look for posts related to a specific topic as you can see here if I scroll down to the bottom of the post I have a selection of tags clicking on one of these tags will allow me to view all other posts that have been tagged with this same tag pages on the other hand are the different pages on your website they are static and don't have very much
003change in content generally pages are included in your website's navigation menu for example this sign up page here it is no posts on it and is a static unchanging page now that you know the difference between pages and posts you can see how you can use a combination of posts and pages to build any site you can think of stay tuned for the next video thanks for watching [Music] you [Music]
