001in the last video you'll remember we went over changing the formats of your post in this video we'll be going over how to edit an existing wordpress post on your WordPress website from the all post screen of the WordPress dashboard you can find all of your posts on your site if you have a large number of posts you can use the pages tool to cycle through pages when you hover over a post you're going to have access to two different methods to edit that post edit and quick edit edit will allow you to edit the actual content of the post while quick edit is a handy way to make some changes for the details of the post with quick edit you can change the title permalink or slug and the date of the post you
002can also add a password to password protect the post you can also change the category of the post or add tags you can enable comments or pingbacks or even change the status of the post finally you have the option to make the post sticky which will make it appear at the top of your blog posts to edit the actual content of the post hit the title of the post itself or hit the edit button this will take you back to the post editor make sure to click update after you've made your changes to your post back at the all posts screen you can bulk edit multiple posts at once first select which posts you want to change and then choose edit from the bulk options drop down menu this allows you to change the categories
003tags author or other metadata for all of the selected posts to remove posts from the bulk edit click the X beside them in the bulk edit menu to delete a post hit the trash button to move that post to the trash don't worry if you accidently trash one of your posts you can find all of your trashed posts in the trash section here you can move them back to your posts or delete them permanently and that was a look at how to edit posts stay tuned for more helpful tutorials thanks for watching [Music] you
