001in this video we'll be covering creating and editing pages on your WordPress website if you remember we talked about the difference between posts and pages pages generally contain static content that doesn't change very often pages are usually found outside of the blog with static content pages differ from posts in a few key ways some of these changes are that pages don't have categories or tags pages are also nested within the menu and can have a hierarchy to create a new page from the live preview of our site use the drop-down menu at the top and hit new page you'll notice this looks very similar to creating a new post so I can enter a title and also enter some body content to change the order that the page appears in your menu look to the
002right side you can choose a parent page from the list of parents or assign the page a number under the order section then you can hit publish and we can go view our page on our site you'll see that our page has been added to the menu on the top of our site the all pages section of the dashboard allows you to see all of the pages of your website you also have options to bulk edit or delete pages here you can also edit delete or view individual pages the bulk edit tool lets you edit the metadata for multiple pages at once these are things like author parent pages enabling comments or updating the status of a group of pages quick edit allows you to change the details for individual pages such as title date
