010birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear friend Happy Birthday to you Happy 25th birthday Jared man thanks Alex cry up here man thanks Mrs G for uh sending those photos so quickly today so Jared we got 25 years up here and uh man how was your birthday today started a new job this week too yeah uh busy week for me got a new job over in uh South County Jefferson bar Cemetery so um little bit of a switch up for me but good week so here we are tonight uh I want to thank top shooters for bringing the food up to uh the Press Box today we uh had some wings a pizza I never had a pizza down at top shooters before but great pizza the Gerber uh with that we
011had some trash Wings trash yep toasted ravioli everything there so thank you to top shooters for that and our pregame meal for the boys is going to be brought to you by Mason vagley and I'm Aaron I'm Mason and we're here at live shiners because we'd like to thank them for being a long time sponsor for Columbia quarterback club i' like to thank them for sponsoring and making our pregame meal it was great come in check it out won't be disappointed no Eagles no Eagles thank you Reef schneiders for providing tonight's meal for the boys uh Jared let's go ahead we're going to make it a quick uh pregame here uh let's talk a little bit about last week Eagles dominate their way to Victory offensive side of the ball 180 yards rushing 174 through
012the air 354 yards total offense last week yeah I think it all started up front um especially in that first quarter I think we were up 21 nothing early um and then we got to the second quarter and you know how that went I wasn't too happy with the way the second quarter went I think it was a 12 and a half minute drive officially yeah that's that's crazy and that is not going to get you uh far in the playoffs but um hopefully we made some adjustments well we definitely made adjustments at that halftime um last week but hopefully uh make some adjustments this week and um see what Salem is running and see if we can get another W tonight you wanted to start fast that's what you said in first play of
013the game 67 yards Logan Hicks on a quarter or a run and I said man Jared how much quicker you want to start he said well the kickoff would have been nice so like you said started quick 13-minute drive I think that is incredible we weren't happy with it but if you're uh Wood River that's impressive to be able to do then you go to the uh third quarter three touchdowns for the Eagles Logan Hicks had a 22 uh yard run Keegan Thompson 21 yd field goal and a passing touchdown for seven yards in the third and then in the fourth quarter Keegan Thompson another touchdown a safety a kickoff return for a touchdown and a uh recovery of a fumble and let's talk about that big man rumbling bumbling scoring a touch that was
014hilarious anytime you got a big man touchdown I mean you got to go crazy a little bit um and I think that was the one that put US 60 points on the board haven't scored that many points I think since 2017 so um when you're scoring 60 points um and you're only letting up uh 12 I mean you it's pretty darn good that win was coach Hunter's 150th regular season win at Columbia so uh thanks to Howie for getting that stat that's something I never even thought about it seemed like just like yesterday he had win number 100 so officially 150 during the regular season and uh it was a great game through and through but the surprising thing with Wood River having the ball for 13 minutes we only held the ball for 15
015minutes and still put up 60 points yeah I think it's CU we were scoring in two or three plays um I think especially on the offensive side of things that we saw last week we're getting the ball out to a lot of different receivers um I know Keegan got involved a lot more than we've seen all season long had a couple just little screen routes um and just letting him do his thing in open space and that's one thing we've asked get Keegan the football get your uh um get your athletes the ball and let them make some plays and it was nice to be able to see that last week with Keegan doing that and then after that I mean Logan Hicks I think he had four touchdowns if I'm not mistaken so four
016touchdowns that takes him to 10 for the year um and just kind of kind of quietly doing that he uh he's just been able to get it done doesn't really do anything spectacular just makes the plays when he needs to I think we talked about it last week I feel like every time he touches the ball he's getting faster and faster with each rep and each time we see him run so um props to Logan this season he's worked his tail off um since he was a sophomore starting um all over the field on defense so um it's nice to see him finally getting the end zone a lot and um having a good season so we're about eight minutes away I think the team will be coming down within the next five minutes or
017so uh let's talk a little bit about the Salem wild cats coming in uh one and five on the season haven't really done anything too spectacular um just trying to get some things rolling um came in Lost to Calia in week 1 4235 got shut out vers Benton 56 to nothing lost to Mount Zion in week three 3414 they beat East Alton Wood River 428 got beat by Roxana 40 to4 and last week beat by Breeze Central 49 to7 so given up a ton of points and we got to like how that looks coming into tonight yeah kind of the same thing as last week uh tried to get going early if especially I didn't see if we get the ball first but I know coach Warner usually has about six seven eight plays already
018in place um that the offense knows so hopefully we can can uh come out and get going early they come in passing averag they only have uh 731 yards through the air so not really passing too much if you uh break that down to per game they're only averaging 121 yards through the air so primarily they're going to be on the Run most of the time where they have 1,077 yards 179 yards on the ground so boy that's a beautiful sky Highline right there on the getting ready here that's awesome beautiful so you look at Jared uh three keys to the night what are you thinking um I think since it's a big night like homecoming you got to still stay ready everybody's probably got their mind on the dance tomorrow and whatnot um but
019I think you got to just come out and be ready because you never know what could happen um two I'd say show off for the big crowd have and have a good time with the uh big crowd um especially with the cheerleader that thing that we had um before the game and then with homecoming going on the big crowd thanks coach St appreciate you look at Kia Conference standings this is week four in the Kia conference free Central leading the way like we expected 6-0 3 and0 in the conference Roxanna 5- one 3-0 and then you go to Columbia in third place 4-2 2- one Salem comes in one and five 1-2 in conference East Alon Wood River 2 and4 0 and3 and freeberg 1 and5 0 and3 so this is a uh a big
020game here Columbia really needs this win and I can't believe I'm ever going to say this I think we're Breeze Central fans tonight too yeah and I think with tonight's win you never you never know uh with five wins if you're going to get in the playoffs but that's always another uh thing in the back of your mind five five wins usually in past years has got you in the playoffs so hopefully tonight we come out strong and um then we'll have a real big big game next week so the Eagles come into this game with 26 playoff points so if you get those five wins and you get uh 26 playoff points that you obviously got three more weeks to add to it so you like where you're sitting our opponents this week Moder
021day host Alto Alto comes into that game six and0 absolutely dominating Chris John said they should win the state championship easily um they got the running back who's the running back for alov orgon yeah he's going to work I I don't know his name dominates stud yeah waterl 5- one is at Civic Memorial surprising 5- one I feel like um good for our playoff points though yeah it works out well before we go on any further here come the Columbia Eagles football team with the blackout tonight huh got the black blackout with the students we still have the black Jersey he did uh I don't think so I just saw a cheerleader bite the dust on the 40 though oh did she someone hit the sprinkler at Buffalo Al Wings a little early or four
022minutes early so we go on with the rest of the uh schedule here tonight Taylorville goes to matun um and then after that Rox Anna and um Central or playe and that's going to be the big game that we're going to be watching um that's a conference Championship lot of implications on that and with that and said if Roxana or if Central wins rather they will be at least locking themselves in for conference Roxana same concept and then we would go to Central and that's a big game too um so a lot of things got to play out with that freeberg goes or is hosting East Alton Wood River and then Jersey and msca will be playing to round that out but like I was saying so if Central wins tonight they're guaranteed at least
023a share of the conference Championship uh if we would go in and win next week then that could throw some wrenches in the fire Roxanna I mean there's so many things to really talk about but it's always good if you have an opportunity to talk about a conference Championship oh yeah especially so we are three minutes away now from kickoff once again we saw the start of the coin flip and then we looked away and we missed the rest of it so we don't know who's getting the football I saw Salem sent two captains out we had three this week uh they were the same same ones Hudson Hicks and Mason and the two for Salem were two big kids I can't remember their numbers but 76 and 80 definitely if you look at their
024sizes they're going to have us outsized between those two positions 76 coming in Frank Potter gry 61 290 and number 865 240 both seniors so we'll uh try to get get you some more names and numbers here in a quick minute we're going to send it down to the band for the national anthem and when we come back we'll have kickoff and Columbia Eagle football right after this Lieutenant Colonel Xander Noel Cadet Captain Sarah Tor Cadet second Lieutenant Julius sson Cadet senior master sergeant Hunter corbus and Cadet Airman Ian Kelly ladies and gentlemen the national anthem [Applause] another great rendition of the national anthem by the band they are very consistent week in and week out I agree they have been for a long time too we going a little window action we're going to
025go a little window open it's a great night here tonight got to move Crips autographed picture here before we lose that so tonight ladies and gentlemen we're going to have a replay Booth up in the booth so sorry you're not going to get to see a replay we're still working on that we uh we got a little monitor over here we're going to watch everything live hey guys how's everyone doing so maybe TJ you'll just have to swing that around real quick and uh we'll get it in there so replay Instant Replay for us about 30 seconds delayed so I don't know how instant that is but we're going to have it tonight Jared great to be back on our Press Box too yes it is I mean sitting on the ground at Wood River
026last week knees hurt we got plenty of room up here now can can spread out so it's always good to be back home let's see I'm going to assume based on who's out there we are going to be receiving the kick so something I was looking at the uh Stats today Jared we have great returns as far as I think we're averaging close to 30 yards of return for the year on I think it's pretty much all kickoffs a couple punts are in there here and there but Logan Hicks leading the way five returns 31 yard average cam janick has two he's averaging 20 yards Jason Nelson three returns for 34 and then Coupe has one for 23 so uh pretty good if you're catching the ball at the five you're getting yourself at to
027the 35 that's a good field position for you and that's kudos to coach gendall there for making that happen yeah and you know coach Herer got to love having good field position start out a game so and I don't think we've had a kick return or punt return yet this year so hopefully uh did last week J had one oh yeah you're right you're right you're right 55 yards no kick return then oh it was a punt wasn't it I think so well you can always have one right now homecoming night here at Colombia blackout night here in Colombia kokia conference mashup Friday Night Under The Lights what else could you ask for beautiful [Music] sunset Eagles and wild cats are underway and it's going to be a little bit of a squib going to
028bounce at the 29 and go out of bounds I heard a lot of whistles being blown though pen Y flag on the play I guess they're going to have to re kick most likely what was that was that last week or two weeks ago when they kicked out of bounds about four times in a row they were all the way back at that was two weeks ago wasn't it was last time we were at home yeah because they were kicking it from the 20 got about five penalties in a row so I guess that's going to be a false start penalty I believe is how that's motioned they uh cross the line of scrimmage before the kick happened looks like they're just going to Pooch it too they're not really going to put it in
029the back Row's hands even the second back row so see what this kicker wants to do here number 25 Logan McKinley is doing the kicking for the Wildcats a sophomore going to be a pooch the other way this time and it's going to be caught at the 41 and that's where the Eagles offense is going to take over and the Eagles offense is here is uh doing some pretty good things they're catching defenses and getting uh getting a mix of things going on something that I kind of want to see a little bit tonight is little bubble action and some screen action that we've been seeing the last couple weeks um anytime you can get your athletes on the outside edge and going against safeties and Corners got a pretty good shot like we're going
030to line up in that same formation that we're usually opening up in too ball on the left hash hand the ball off to Jace cuts it back up F and he's going to be brought down gain of two brought down by number four for the wild cats Angel Sado I think we've seen that play on the opening drive first play of the offensive stand uh almost every every game this year you got about two or three options off that with Jace coming in motion and Mason can pull that sometimes single receivers out wide Jace is going to go over now we're going to have doubles to the left side tight end right sniffer left running back is a pistol back behind vagley vagley takes a snap turns around hands it off to Hicks goes up
031the middle he gets good for about seven and a half we needed eight we'll see if they're going to give it to us looks like it's going to be short third and inches now see if you can get him to jump off sides here get an easy first down I wouldn't show that yet you can need that later on in the game doubles to the right side ball in the left hash cam is your sniffer back I believe that's Jace behind vaguely play action throw it out Hicks makes the catch he gets up to the 50 lowers a shoulder gets to the 45 good for a first down into Salem wild cat territory little RPO action there vaguely faking the handoff and throwing just a simple little bubble route like I said earlier something I
032want to see a lot from this offense because it's Unstoppable if you run it right Jay motion hands the ball off to him goes to the left side going out wide he finally puts his foot in the ground ball bounces up in the air going to be recovered by Salem penalty flag on on the play ball just popped straight up in the air yeah it did look like Jace tried to cut it up right in front of that corner over there looks like he put his helmet right on the football Salem's going to take over now at their own 4 four yard line not what you want on uh your opening drive but you look at homecoming night it kind of had a little bit of a lull of a feeling here to start the
033game a little quiet up here and not much energy Salem going to go under Center single receiver out to the top of the screen tight end right motion man going to be number three they're going to hand it off he's going to get slung down by Hudson Bryant got fooled by nothing loss of four on the [Music] play lyri Black was the ball carrier and Hudson just reached out pretty good strength there to pull him down K looked pretty fast coming in motion too great job by Hudson just to get his hands on him and throw him down Hudson just went through untouched too tackled never even reached out for him doubles to the left side sniffer back right running back about seven yards deep motion man this time is going to be number 12
034going across they fake it to him pass quarterback's looking deep he's chased down by Hudson who forces a throw out of bounds incomplete third and 14 Hudson Bryan already two plays in kind of been doing this all season long too getting in that back field has a couple block punts just got a great nose for the football I'd like to go through and I was talking to coach Jermaine about this the other night I'd like to go through what teams are averaging coming into a game against Colombia and then see what the Columbia defense gives up I bet you it's under average most of the time if not all the time did you ask him about the 12-minute drive last week yeah he didn't say much about that though trips to the right side quarterback
035in shock they're going to hand it off nothing going this time it's cam janic making the play at the line of scrimmage fourth and 14 now for the wild cats janik's another kid this season kind of started as middle linebacker and then Coach hermaine wanted to move him up to the D line put his hand in the grass so great job by him to get in the back field a lot just like Hudson Bryant loss of about five yards on this first drive by Salem looks like they are going to punt cam comes into the game 27 total tackles four of them are far a loss deep man is Nelson for the Eagles his knee was down his knee was very close to being down gets the punt off waved fair catch at the 31
036his knee was definitely Down's check the instant replay check the instant replay up here Brennan thanks for bringing this up bud love this so the punter was punting from about the 28 steps up definitely had his KNE down on the ground could hear coach stump he was calling for it to be uh not a badt flips the field Eagles take over around the 30 841 here in the first quarter doubles to the left side empty backfield just going to be a quick pass play to Hicks who's going to catch it gets up field now gets five yds six and going to be thrown down physical tackle there on the sideline gain of about six maybe seven bring up a second and four we'll call it there's that bubble again cam flying out making a good
037block just get the ball in your playmaker's hands and let them do their thing ball in the left hash doubles right pistol back behind vaguely takes a snap hands it off up the middle good for a first down and a couple more after that maybe a gain of 10 first and 10 now for the Eagles from their own 47 yd line looks like the eagles are wanting to go a little Tempo here they get lined up right away look over to Herer they're ready to go throw a bubble here right now there's nobody even over Logan this time it's going to be play action Logan catches it he gets up field good block out of Keegan there again gain a 10 maybe looks like they're going to give it to him first and 10 for
038the Eagles yeah when there's only the corner out there and you got the safety about 12 yards off and the linebacker's not even over Logan which I mean he should be I don't know if they're not teaching that but now four is going to come out a little bit and get in front of hicks just a little bit same formation balls on the right hash this time it's going to be a handoff following blockers is Nelson he gets up to the 35 near another first down but it's going to be second and two good movement here for the Eagles offense looks like we're going to flip the formation and I bet we run the same play getting about at least six yards per play here on this drive ball on the right hash tight end
039right Nelson to the right sniffer back is janick to the left motion man Nelson they're going to hand the ball off to him he cuts up field good cut and he's going to get five or six yards going to be another first down for the Eagles and we're not really running anything inside so Lyman really haven't had to worry about much so far in this one probably just Zone blocking if I had to guess right nobody's really pulling yeah oh yeah you had 75 quivero pulling on that one but like I said if just get your athletes out in open space and don't even mess with those big guys in the middle B in the left hash doubles to the right side Hicks motion man to the left they fake it bootleg bagely throws it
040he's got cam at the 20 cam gets up field lowers the boom tackled at the 10 physical run first and 10 for the Eagles great ball by Mason Begley there rolling out to his right side put it right over that linebacker's head where janic makes an easy catch and absolutely mowed over somebody I like that play there cuz cam looks like he's going to be going out for a block and then he just keeps on running through that kid just caught cam janic right there oh look at this a little trickery I don't even know how to call it it's okay they'll let the play do the talking it's a touchdown for the Eagles what in the world just happened there Mason was backwards when he clapped too that's hilarious even carried out the fake
041toss boy I don't know what was going on on that play it had me all all messed up looks like Keegan will be doing the Pats this week Mason on the hold snap Place kick up the upright and good that takes the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard Columbia 7 Salem zero we're going to run to a commercial break real quick when we come back we'll have the Eagles defense on the field with 608 remaining to go in the first quarter congratulations Matt on 25 years of service helping out Columbia football you're a bigger part of the program than you'll ever know the Eagles wouldn't have been able to accomplish a lot of the things they've accomplished without you congratulations Matt just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for Columbia football the last 25 years
042um you know just grown up in the program I don't know what else it looks like without you um so thank you for for being a rock solid foundation for the Eagles for so long and uh continue to do what you're doing because you're making an impact on everyone hey Pat Baker here thanks for being a part of Columbia football for 25 years and being a part of our community and contributing to success of our program most of all being a selfless member of a great organization you're what Columbia football is all about serving other people and being the best you can be thanks for everything you do go Eagles welcome back to kchs presenting by the Columbia quarterback Club Friday Night Lights Eagles Take a 70 lead over the wild cats of Salem Keegan
043doing the kick in this week sends it deep right down the middle bounces at the 15 picked up at the 10 Return Man Gets behind a big wall of blockers and finally sneaks out of there good little physical run gets up to the 31 yd line 32 maybe and that's where Salem's going to take over you got to love that out of the Columbia offense after fumbling on that first drive making a good stand on defense three out and then running probably the same play all the way down to inside the five when we had some trickery six minutes left in this first quarter as always let us know where you're listening from Good Friday night here in Columbia like to know where you're coming from Salem's going to have doubles to the left side
044ball on the right hash quarterback hands It Off right up the middle nothing going for big number 22 he's hit right away by Hudson Bryant trayon Clark 6125 is the running back on that play got the Klein Schmid family listening from the shed there you go second and eight now for Salem just notice the Freshman I think he's a freshman motion man for Wildcats this time they're going to fake it to him up the middle running back with a good run this time good for about eight or nine first down is that xman that is number three that is X I had to make sure I looked down and wasn't sure of the number so Xavier vaguely getting the start for the Eagles in the secondary he's back there at corner or at safety with
045mace mayay different formation here for the wild cats two running backs almost like a wishbone I guess Mason's up at linebacker now and the ball off right up the middle Gigan Thompson's there first gets drugged for about two yards second and seven so it looks like Mason vagle is lining up at safety and then kind of rotating up to that linebacker position and then X moves over to one high safety so we'll see what's going on there if Mason's going to Blitz any big guys up front looks like minky and Corbin with Cam janick as the other big kid we'll call him and then Hudson Bryan on that edge on that far side shotgun this time for Salem pass caught by number three good job there by the Eagles defense getting there it was led
046by Jace Nelson sniffed it out wasn't able to get blocked third and long this three looks pretty Shifty but defense putting the clamps on not letting him get anywhere brings up another third down this one is a little bit more manageable in their last one see if they want to throw it again or keep it on the ground Eagles fans are not sure if they want to get into it or not ball on the left hash single receivers out wide pistol back with the quarterback boot leg number Nine's looking for a man deep this time he's going to be forced to throw incomplete hit on the play by Logan Hicks fourth down now now for the wild cats shout out Tera Germaine listening from Nashville Nashville Tennessee or Illinois Tennessee quarterback for Salem this year
047bavo is a sophomore 65 completions on 103 attempts 63% completion ratio there averaging 11 yards per attempt per completion rather see if Hudson can get in this back field here punt gets off going to hit at about the 26 pick it up and it's a good bounce for Salem and it's going to go to the 19 yd line if you are looking for something to do here in the next couple of weeks the uh sons of the American Legion will be hosting their veterans honor queue on Friday November 8th and Saturday November 9th on the e8th is the barbecue and beer Dance all you can eat barbecue pork and chicken AB draft beer products tickets I believe are $30 a piece doors open at 5:30 dinner at 6:30 live music by the Southside Johnny band
048that's on Friday on Saturday they have the veterans parade I'll give you that in a second doubles the left side turn around hand the ball off to Hicks up the middle gets behind his blockers he's going to get about five yards before getting tackled the veterans parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at Cafe on the Abbey walks down Main Street and finishes at the American Legion and then there's a big barbecue competition after that with daed in confused playing in the afternoon in an adult kickball tournament starting at 11: a.m. this time it's kept by vaguely good pull good read good run good for 10 yards first and 10 for the Eagles at own 35 yd line and Mason's gotten a lot better at reading that the end pulled that one there first run of the
049night takes it for a first down he does good does better at getting the ball into the running back's stomach and then holding it and riding it a lot longer you can Flash it doesn't do the same thing though motion man Nelson counter Hicks up the middle lot of grass in front of him 4540 spin move out of a tackle down at the 36 yd line of Salem no Flags first and 10 Eagles I think if he keeps taking that to Salem's sideline he might be gone looks like he had a good angle on that safety closing in on him decided to cut it back up middle of the field oh yeah he's close there number three was the only one that could have really got him if he cut that way but first down
050Eagles under two minutes now in this first quarter another good drive going we'll call it trips to the left side empty back field now they're going to make it doubles left pistol back Nelson got a hurry 5 seconds on the play clock looks like we're going to get it off we do there it is throws it out to Hicks Gets behind his blocker oh spin move again maybe even t two spin moves finally brought down Keegan had a block going I think he let off a little bit until they make you uh not throw that bubble route I mean I'd keep doing it like I said earlier you're getting at least six yards if you hand it off or just throw it to your Playmakers on the outside it's been working so far in this
051first quarter I just don't understand why they don't have a safety or linebacker over the other receiver out there ocean man Nelson hands the ball off to him good block there kick out he lowers his shoulder I believe the kickout block there came from the Eagles number 52 KAS musk up I didn't think that play was going anywhere and all a sudden KAS kicked the last guy out great pickup and that's the thing about having a couple big guys on that defensive side though if we're going to be running to the outside a little bit with our Speeders it's a little tougher to catch up to him the only passing attempt we've seen are those bubble routes in the one to janic inside the 15 yd line so we'll see if coach orner wants to
052keep it on the ground because it's working empty backfield now doubles to the right side ball in the hash quarterback vaguely is going to keep it himself he runs to the right side gets knocked out of Bounds at the 10 gain of four what I would love right there you got a uh just manto man on the top of the screen with Jace making a jump contest just throw it up to him or what I don't know that corner's pretty AR little Arrow Route I'd go a little arrow let him have the ball and make a play if he get stopped turn that into a wheel and you got it in the corner of the end zone doubles on the left side Jace motion man hand the ball off going out wide no blocking that
053time for the Eagles gets up to the 10 probably going to take us to the quarter as we're under 20 seconds now I'm surprised coach Warner wanted to go to that wide side of the field usually likes going to the boundary but wanted to bounce it to the other side of the field looks like it is going to be end of the quarter so that's going to do it after one Columbia leads the Paul Cory Pharmacy scoreboard 70 over the wild cats we're going to run to a commercial we'll be back right after this hi my name is Cameron Jan Mason vagley and we'd like to take a second to shout out Matt K on his 25th year as a ball boy in Columbia Eagles organization GP you are listening to Columbia Eagle football live

055time it's going to be handed off to vagley who pitches it back and nothing going see I think right there you're almost getting a little too now just keep running what got you down there we all know coach Warner loves that trickery so that's going to bring up fourth down now look like someone might have missed a kickout block look like Janet couldn't really stay engage with his guy on the outside edge there is a hurt wild cat on the on the play so it's going to be fourth and seven do you take the points here or do you kick or I'm sorry go for it um I think you keep your offense on the field we've been getting six seven eight yards per play so I think you run what got you down there
056like I said Bubble route has been there all night long so we'll see if uh coach Warner wants to just try to make this two possession game or try to score another touchdown the Columbia quarterback Club is hosting a raffle 300 tickets will be sold at $10 a piece there will be three winners the first ticket pulled will get $50 the 150th ticket pulled will get $150 and the last ticket pulled will get $300 so if you would like to have a chance at winning some cash and support the Columbia quarterback Club who makes this possible go to their Facebook page or email them at columia QB [email protected] to get your tickets looks like we are going to take the points here going to be a 30 yard attempt good place kick is up and
057it is good there we go 30 yard field goal out of Keegan Thompson is good takes that for car for Cory Pharmacy scoreboard 10 to zero with 1126 to go in the first half we will try talking to coach Robbie Walters on cheer night he said that he would try to come up at halftime so we'll try to do a little interview with him and Mrs her also said since we couldn't get with her a couple weeks ago she would do an interview tonight too so hopefully we'll be able to knock those two interviews out during halftime so make sure you stick with us to hear what they have to say your mom did a very good job a couple weeks ago I didn't really listen to much of it but a slap in the
058face I mean she listens to every game that we call and you she missed my biggest game so oh you're just not going to let let her ever live that down are you nope yeah never not for Brett Michaels you kidding me are you kidding me just kidding love you Mom Keegan's going to send it deep again this time he's going from right to left good kick once again going to fall at the 10 be picked up at about the eight good job by the Eagles getting down the field led by number 18 for the Eagles I believe that's Cameron steel and number two Logan Hicks Getting The Tackle at about the 20 yard line yeah steel had about three guys coming to block him and blew every single one of them up big props
059to him on that play and anytime you can start him inside the Red Zone on the other side of the field that's always a good thing great job special teams sometimes it's almost better when you have a kick that like takes a weird bounce like more than a Touchback because you never know if you can get a fumble you might be able to go down and recover it quarterback takes the snap and hands the ball off right up the middle gain of about four maybe Max brings up a second and six 77 is a big boy 62 295 their whole old line is probably over [Music] 250 Eagles have four down linemen two linebackers going to roll over now to a little bit of a coverage play action number Nine's rolling out chased down by
060Hudson going to be short of a first down good job there by Coupe going from coverage into to making a tackle third and [Music] two quarterback for Salem like we said earlier 721 yards passing only 11 yards rushing on the year interesting third and short single receivers out wide pistol back with the quarterback who's in shotgun tried to hard count looked like we jumped didn't call it though need to get a stop here if you're the Eagles turn around hand the ball off up the middle good for a first down brought down by number three Xavier vaguely but it's going to be a gain of four four first and 10 now for Salem and if you're salum here probably just keep running the ball don't want Columbia to get the ball too much in this
061first half already 10 nothing so if you can take a little bit of time off the clock keep it out of our hands number 22 is the running back he's a sophomore 373 yards rushing quarterback slings it out wide going to be good for we're going to call it 8 yards on defense for the Eagles was number 14 Hayden Hub that's something we talked about last week too with our Corners they're already seven eight yards deep and then Snapp of the ball they're dropping back so all he ran was a two yard hitch route turned it into about eight- yard gain simple as that single receiver doubles to the left side quarterback under Center and an eye formation turn around fullback good for a first down going to be the left side goes out of
062bounds tackled by number 12 Mason vagle good for a first and 10 knocked out of Bounds at the 50 915 on the game clock like 18 had a couple words for Mason after that hit on the sideline number 18 rushing on the year averaging five yards a carry 2011 yards on the season doubles to the left side two running backs quarterback under Center motion man's number three fake it to him they're going to come up the middle though this time going to be brought down is number 18 Two Carries in a row call it a gain of four second and six Keegan gets credit with the tackle four down lineman for the Eagles two linebackers cp's creeping up we'll call him a linebacker now pass play to left side double move looking deep going to
063throw it up in the air and it's going to go incomplete good defense there out of the Eagles number 18 Cameron steel didn't get fooled on the double move forces a third and six now he kind of got him he had about two or three yard separation but great job by Steel to get back in the play never really turned his head but never made too much contact that interfered and looked like the ball hit him right in the back of the head brings up third down clock does stop 8:15 left first half same formation for the wild cats going to hand it off go to the left side going to be brought down gain a two brings up a fourth down who was it that stayed home out there on that wide side was
064that Ste again looked like Keegan was back there first but it did look like steel was able to make the tackle well you look at Corbin and Mankey they're really holding things up in the middle and it's forcing them to have to go out wide could have been a hold Keegan Thompson there but fourth and five looking like it's going to be an attempt out of the wild cats eye formation doubles to the left side turn around play action nothing going cam janick wasn't fooled turn over on Downs After the sack of 10 yards eagles with good field position quarterback looked down the middle of the field looking for his receiver and there was literally nobody ran a route I don't think I don't think the tight end ran a route they're just looking for
065a pop pass out of him it was 80 on this right side yeah I think he was supposed to release and he never did he had no one the throw do that's got to be a helpless feeling good job there by cam Janet getting to the Back Field making the sack again good field position here coach Horner's offense definitely want a touchdown here going into the half be nice Cam's lining up it's going to be a double tight stack CPS the motion man fake it to him bagely throws it to the left side he's got Nelson at about the 25 makes the catch out of Bounds at the 18 no flags big gain first and 10 inside the Red Zone what a beautiful ball by vagle there put it right where it needed to go
066not on a line not too high in the air and Jayce using his speed to get under it love the play call too great ball single receiver out wide this time is going to be Keegan never forget about Hudson Bryan at that tight end position he's only got about two Targets on the year but Hicks up the middle puts his foot in the ground keeps his feet moving near first down a second push gives him a first down first and goal at the five first and goal Bryant hop off look like Hill going to check in for him oh ref just took a spill on the five hopefully he's all right Crips down there to make sure he's all right who's on the stands yelling man down he said he's good to go so we're
067got first down and goal here going to be in that wild cat with Cam janick in the back field and run it to the right side get behind his blockers keeps his feet moving got two guys on him doesn't matter touchdown Eagles cam Janet good for five yards into the end zone had two would be tacklers drug him into the end zone with them got him at the four or three yd line and just like to said was dragging him along for a little hay ride oh I like the little fall reference there what's your favorite season Fall hands down same what's your least favorite I used to hate winter but I think I hate summer more now I don't like the heat Keegan on for the P good snap hold kick is up push
068it a little bit to the right but it's good Matt good catch back there on the reception even he's got to let everyone know too he shows it off too so that takes to Cory faracy scoreboard with 632 remaining Columbia 17 Salem zero in a game that I was not sure what to expect on homecoming I'm lik in this first half though yeah like you said earlier it was a little weird feeling to open up the game not really a flow in the 20 minutes of pregame but nice flow for the Columbia offense to start this one off I love how KP catches it keeps smiling yeah then he holds the ball up shows everybody little bit of a smoke in the air after the smoke machines that were bought by the quarterback Club good
069little little addition this year have them going off when the guys run out of the tunnel then we move them over and uh I think that's Ted Killian moves them down here and sets them up so that we can have a little fun during the game with them Air's not moving too well tonight though and uh hanging out just sitting Keegan with a new approach now with just a quick two steps kicks it off going to be caught at the 14 yd line up the middle there you go we run right past him and couple guys stayed home like they're supposed to do made the tackle is Logan Hicks at the 29 yd line does Logan come off the field I don't think so got a couple guys that do not come off the field
070Salem's offense will take over at the 29 yd line 626 left in this second quarter Eagles lead 170 offenses look good the last three drives but on that first drive had a fumble good to see couple scores up on the board now quick hitch out here closest to us good job there once again Cameron steel making the tackle on number three who's the leading receiver with 357 yards coming in lyri black and that's that's five yards a play I don't off should be running that more if Corners are playing seven eight yeah 10 yards off even Ren was a three yard hitch again I know early in the season especially at modern day Jace got burnt two times it was just a bad throw so I don't know if that's uh Incorporated in their minds
071that want to be that Deep Off the Ball slow snap this time hit in the back field but bounces out it's number 22 who gets the maybe a gain of two he's a big boy 261 205 running the football what did you just say what numberb he's a big boy 262 No 61 205 number 22 he threw a lot of numbers there together real quick I didn't know what was going on you're right he is a big kid look like Corbin and minky were on the initial hit just bounced right off of them third and two ball at the 37 yd line doubles to the right side quarterback under center with two running backs Salem changing the play Maybe keeping it Eagles have everybody up to the line of scrimmage hand the ball off going
072to be good for about four yards first and 10 as they cross the yard to gain first and 10 from the [Music] 41 as we watch the replay it's third and two Jace is standing seven yards off I mean I'd run bubble this way couple times but you do have Cooper white kind of standing over one of the wide receivers on that last play so tight end moving to the right side going to hand the ball off up the middle two missed tackles spin move gain a nine second and one at the Eagles [Music] 49 Second two like Janik checks out Cas musoff CHS checks in single receivers out wide quarterback in shotgun there it is again throws it in the dirt in the turf gain of one and a half third and inches see
073there that was just a bad ball by the quarterback but still able to get a little closer here there he was only about five yards off only ran a yard and a half route High formation quarterback under Center turns around hands it off nothing going I think he's Stu he's short fourth and one now of course watch the football here clock is still running so just over three minutes left in this half and Salem really hasn't had one big play Knock on Wood quarterback under Center once again fourth and one turn around hand the ball off they're going to try going up the middle got it I think he's going to get it by about a yard Mason saying no officials say first down just based off how their offenses look tonight got under three
074minutes now don't know if they have a lot of time if they're going to be running the ball try to get some points on the board before the half Wildcats in Eagle territory now at the 49 quarterback turns throws it left side caught missed tackle brought down by Xavier vagley out of bounds missed tackle that time is that going to be pool out there it is five yard gain second and five still don't get it Alex I know we're thinking about the double moves but I haven't been beat on a double move yet mire we playing Seven yard off the off the ball quarterback under Center again doubles the left side motion man I believe that's number 12 coming across the formation they're looking deep quarterback slings it up in the air it's going to
075be picked off by Mason vley at the 18 he's going to get up field now spins out of one tackle knocked down at the 25 where the Eagles are going to take over 224 to go in the first half looked like 18 did have Mason beat there but not a very good Ball by the quarterback was in the air for way too long had two guys in his face when he was trying to get it off great job by Mason to be there so the Eagles have all three timeouts 225 remaining 75 yards in front of them hopefully get on the scoreboard once again already leading 17-0 motion man Hicks comes back to a pistol position behind vagley hands the ball off up the middle puts his foot in the ground gets a couple are
076you conservative here or you want to try to get another score I'm I like points I'm going for it look like we're going to be in kind of an empty set here now motion man Nelson fake it to him vaguely keeps it himself who had up the middle goes to the right side now good blocking out there by Keegan Out of Bounds at the 41 first and 10 148 remaining good job by Mason to get out of bounds stop that clock don't have to use any timeouts can save them for when you get down closer to the end zone doubles to the left side tight end right sniffer back left is Janik pistol back is Nelson going to be a little bubble this time caught by Thompson who Gets behind the wall of blockers gets
077up to about the 49 yd line gain of nine and a half second and short it's a little tunnel screen there for Keegan to get him involved on the offense a little bit I haven't seen that play too much anymore I mean that was the Brandon prior killer right there that was the bread and butter of the Eagles offense for years remember Eric Eric Reed used to make a living off that play Jordan Holmes used to make a living off that play empty pulled by vagle up the middle going to be good for a first down forward progress kind of fell stops the clock momentarily at 104 first and 10 timeout Eagles good start to this drive I like the flow of it I like that timeout right there it was a quick and decisive
078timeout as well you didn't waste any time 104 to go now you probably thinking about throwing it here because running the ball you're going to make that clock tick even more so put it in the air if it's incomplete clock will stop sometimes out of timeouts you see coach Herer getting into his bag of tricks sometimes so we'll see if he draws something up that Salem might not be ready for student section's trying to get a cheer going over here and I think they start with the Freshman up top and uh well freshman got some work to do in front of him oh the cheerleaders are trying to get it going I don't know what they're trying to spell right now that was a good one first and 10 for the Eagles good showing out
079of the students here you guys have any toilet paper and trees up in your subdivision this week nope not our house maybe tonight nope I'll be having a bonfire so I'll be hearing it if it's going on doubles to the right side Nelson motion man counter fake it vagley looking deep middle of the field Keegan 15 yd line out of his reach keep running Keegan that's a touchdown there's a flag down at the line of scrimmage like you said coming out of the timeout coach Horner's got some tricks up his sleeve fakes the hand off to the motion fakes the counter looks deep and great pass protection too normally uh last couple years we haven't had that much time to especially run a play like that that's how we lost to wesland my junior year
080play like that with trying to spin around do this do that didn't have the protection and you fumble no before I turned around I was sacked oh doubles the left side pistol back running back is Nelson hand the ball off to him up the middle nothing going loss again on the play now I think you're just going to take this nope they're going to call a timeout bubble was open there again if he just wants to throw it out the Hicks fors kind of playing over him but not really playing he's still four yards away from him get that ball out open Bas let number two go but earlier they were just lining up on like an outside linebacker weren't even looking at Hicks as that slot receiver that's why he was able to get
081four or five easy catches on simple bubble routes what's your favorite homecoming tradition oh man um I know the Fridays were usually pretty fun all the games going on that's that I'd probably say the games on Friday games on Friday yeah then everybody's hyped for the game on Friday night and then I don't know Friday Friday is just a good day I wasn't really a I'm a dancer but I don't I don't know it wasn't really my you don't dance oh I do dance I've seen you try to dance that's not dancing okay trips to the left side empty back field only one safety for Salem Hicks Bley is looking deep middle of the field Hicks at the 20 caught brought down at the 10 they're going to call it down they're going to call
082it a catch oh how was that let's check the instant replay here Alex I don't think he maintained possession when he hit the ground ooh I don't know that could be a catch I think that should have been it cuz it looks like both of his arms were underneath the ball when he hit the ground and ground can't cause a fumble so so brings up a third and long now another beautiful ball by vagle puts it in a spot where only Logan can get it it's a tough one clock does stop though 44 seconds now you got third and long doubles to the left side bagely fakes a handoff throws it out wide this one's caught by Hicks gets up to the 50 back to the original line of scrimmage we'll see if Salem wants
083to call a timeout and they do now you punt it if you're the Eagles here don't want to give them the ball right at Midfield TJ let's go back to the year probably the 1990s I would assume you were in high school what was your favorite homecoming tradition um well when the the horse and buggy would take us to uh to prom you didn't have a Camaro or anything like that no I didn't have a Camaro Mustang was a whole new term back then exactly so your horse and buggy yeah you decorate your horse and buggy to go to school yeah we'd uh you know go down in the coold shoot and uh you know write obscene things on everybody else's buggies and uh yeah it was it was fun it was fun things are
084a lot different nowadays I'm telling you yeah now it's toilet paper did I don't know if you could have decorated with that back in the day no that was a delicacy you could get rid of that you had to go out to the ouse and and go get the toilet paper and yeah now you just go to your front yard I tell you it it is all over town this year has been insane Eagles are going to have fourth and 11 now from the Wildcat 48 yd line 30 seconds to go they are lined up in punt formation I think if you're Mason you don't even give your this guy a chance of returning it he's got some oh great punt by Mason caught at the 14 yd line good coverage though by the Eagles
085and it goes to about the 19 yd line where the tackle was made I think he could to pick this up with his feet think so yeah it's only yards he would had to outr run one guy number 16 I mean it would have been close but great rugby style punt there and if you're Salem here I I take a knee I don't want to force a stupid fumble or something and give them three free points basically looks like they are going to line up in just doubles though slinging deep I think you keep it on oh they are going to sling it BS down the middle of the field field check down to number 80 who makes the catch and gets taken out of Bounds at the [Music] 29 he might give him the
08630 and it's going to be good for a first down if they do Hickson then up on the track somehow with seeing that they're going to Sling It Coach G pulls Mankey off goes for the quicker case musk up for the pass rush and with that Lincoln Corbin also comes off number 28 Cooper Fox goes on doubles again quarterback looking deep once again going to throw it and be caught taken down right away by Xavier vaguely though could have been a hold all over the place back here here on the line oh yeah yeah basically tackled him talks about how quick casing was and he got held all the way down to the ground tackled coach G's out here he's wanting to have an explanation what's going on herner out there as well it's going
087to be first and 10 from the 47 coach remain all the way out on the eagle think they're trying to figure out if the clock started or not head coach Kendall out there Corner looking up to the Press Box trying to get couple seconds off the clock yeah looks like it it's holding up 10 they added 10 seconds or oh now it says 10 yeah they added 10 instead of taking it away so first and 10 now trips to the right side running back right could be the last play of the first half quarterback looking up the middle throws it across the middle it's going to be caught quick whistle thankfully brought down at the 35 yd line 4 seconds to go on the game clock I'm assuming another Salem time out that'll be their
088last one and this will be the last play of the first half and here you don't want to let anybody behind you maybe throw an extra secondary guy in there just to be safe I would have three guys standing on about 10 or 15 yard line on this last play for halftime like we said we're going to have the bands performance first and then we will try having an interview with Mrs Herer and cheer coach Robbie Walters as it is Cheer night Junior cheer night 192 participants this year so we'll talk to Robbie about competition season that's always in the winter time very colored coach in tons of trophies in the trophy case been doing it a long time four seconds to go Eagles lead this first half 17-0 trying to improve to five- two
089which would make them eligible for playoffs Salem comes in at one and five trips to the right side running back left Eagles are showing four rushers they're going to bring three off the one side it's a screen play caught by number three Gets behind his blockers gets close to a first down still trying to dance around trying to reverse the sides of the field he's going to get brought down whole lot of running whole lot of nothing going on though and that takes us to halftime Eagles lead it 17 nothing we're going to run to a commercial break we come back we will have the bands performance right after this on kchs thanks to the Sons and Daughters of the American Legion for the awesome barbecue tonight Hur n a [Music] n [Music] he [Music]
090all God [Music] n [Music] this [Music] s [Applause] [Music] I need know where you this is [Music] us at the bottom of [Music] y [Music] w [Music] w [Applause] [Music] la [Music] Happ [Music] be [Music] [Applause] here's your e fight all [Applause] good job there by the marching Eagles at our halftime show we will be giving miss horer a phone call here now and see if we can get an interview with her real quick with how things are going to be going as a coach's wife we talked to Mrs Germaine a little while ago couple weeks ago I guess it was we're going to talk with Miss Herer now see if she she uh can get connected with her we're trying to make the phone call now got these fancy got the fancy uh headset
091Miss horer can you hear me Miss Horner can you hear me hi Alex how are you good how are you doing tonight hello Dr Beth Horner oh oh man I'm well thanks for joining us on kchs tonight Eagles are leading 17 nothing I know you're watching correct Beth are you there yes okay can you hear me yep now I can hear you okay so as a coach's wife take us back to let's go whenever coach was at Redbud and then you make the move to Columbia what was it like uh going from Red Bud getting the do you remember the emotions that went in whenever he was hired here at Columbia so um he still wor those bike shorts that coaches used to wear you know y one so he was a little frustrated there
092and then uh the opportunity came about for him to come to Colombia and I was already a teacher in Colombia at the time so it was great so you know he came here and then we kind of started our family here all right all right I wish I do you have any pictures of the bike shorts I might be able to dig some up because they were bad and I kept asking him why are you wearing these and that's all he knew from coach wheeler who is you know coach wheeler was everything to him right his high school coach all right so he comes to Columbia and uh he's started with Coach Germaine and we talked a little bit with Tara the uh relationship that you and Tara had back in the day and still
093have today what's it like when you have somebody I mean obviously a support system with you and Tara you're supporting each other with kids growing up and coaches and husbands and that what's it like having somebody on the side with you for 24 years well Tara and I just kind of know each other very well and we just we just know that we're single moms you know and we when we were raising little kids it um you know we really supported each other a lot and it's just you just know you're alone for a long time and even when they're home during the football season they're not home I mean Scott is not present when he's home yeah on a Saturday he's watching college football and he'll pop up a probably two times a weekend
094and go draw up some kind of little plays and um take them with them on Monday and he and G Talk Non-Stop and so Tara and I just kind of have this understanding that yeah this is our life and we support them and and uh at the end of the day it's all about the kids and so we want to see a Victory so do you still get nervous on Friday nights or do you get nervous at all on Friday nights when it rolls around the game nights so with the my boys being gone I don't get as nervous but when it's a big game and it you know like the rock Santa game that I feel like we probably could have won should have won um I don't know if nervous is the word
095but I get I you know I I I still emotional and so then if they make the L offs yes um you know you just see these guys and this is all they live for this is all they do and and the kids too they work I mean football is so grueling all summer all fall and so you just want the best for the kids as well so I don't know if nervous is the word but it's just this come on guys we got this right so let's talk about Nick and Sam whenever they were playing you know and you said you got nervous you being down on the sideline every week you had your your cow bell and you'll never forget the cow bell down there um what's it what's it like is it
096more fun watching the kids I would imagine than it is husband out there or is it just as fun kids husband everyone there oh my God much more fun with the kids um but I will tell you that you know now that Ella is in high school I know some of these kids Cooper Keegan Logan you know I know them through her and I know a lot of their family so it's super fun to watch them too because I know that they're going through what I experienced back in you know 2019 and so um I just I just think it's a great experience for everybody so what does coach Herer the girl dad like on a volleyball night is he pretty intense um well generally speaking he's pathetic with her because he would he lets
097her get away with anything and if it were the boys he would have been up their butts and and it would not going to happen um but Ella's got away with her father that um you know he yeah um so is he nervous with L I think he is but you know Scott is also not he doesn't show a lot of emotion you guys know him so um you know when things get rattled at a game then then you see it coming on I mean he was at modern day and he was trying to get the student section screaming so uh yeah he he just he's competitive as can be all right well thanks for joining us here we're getting ready for kickoff of the second half so uh thanks for joining us this week
098and uh we might talk again here in the near future you never know I might just randomly call you on a Friday night and we'll do a impromptu interview sounds good Alex take care you guys do a great job I appreciate you thanks Beth appreciate it bye thanks to Beth horer for coming on and joining us here on kchs we're getting ready ready to start the second half where the Eagles are leading the wild cats 17 nothing in another kokia conference game Columbia trying to stay in the hunt uh Jared do you have a score in that Central Roxana game it's good say right there I'm GNA look real quick if not we'll be sending a text down to Zack dy I bet you he could he probably got it in his head already Brie
099Central in the first quarter was up 80 226 in the second quarter three why are we kicking off at the 25 I don't know Columbia is going to be kicking off from the 25 they send it deep and it's going to fall in between the two return men at the 29 now Salem's going to have to try to make something happen I lost where the football even is and I'm going to assume it's tackled now just shy of the 40 what' you say the score was I was trying to figure out why we were kicking at the 25 226 in the second quarter Brie Central was Le Central yep so a victory by Central will set up hopefully if they hold on will set up a uh conference Championship Game pretty much next week when
100we go to town to Clinton County so Salem's going to start their own 39 yd line Eagles got the shutout going so far four down lineman three linebackers defensive backs are moving up running the right up the middle cam janick makes contact at the line of SC scrimmage forward progress gain of two Keegan just got drove back about 10 yards by big 77 there only a gain of about two second and eight Salem really doesn't have very wide splits they got all the linemen are real close to each other staying tight play action pass caught M tackled gain of 10 Miss tackle there by P in the long gain that's the only way they've been really getting yards all night as those three yard hitch routes not even three yards he takes one or two
101steps downfield turns around Ball's already coming at him missed tackle there by looked like Steel on that far side able to pick up first down for Salem into Eagle territory four down lineman two linebackers same formation for the Eagles defense running back on the right side quarterback's going to look down the middle of the field he's got number three who's intended receiver knocked down by Jace Nelson on the good defense much better Ball by that quarterback on that pass than the one in the first half that Mason picked off off great job by Nelson to be there in coverage knock it down that three is pretty quick too number three is lyri black leading receiver with 32 receptions 357 yards and doesn't do anything on the ground though two receivers out wide and the ball
102off at the middle of number 22 who's trying to have a little patience gains about three yards brings up a third down and seven they're missing one guy on their stat sheet here but they're starting offensive line number 51 6' 240 58 57 235 65 510 250 and 77 62 295 he looks a lot bigger than 62 out there single receivers out wide moving them over to doubles under 10 seconds on the play clock doubles to the right side quarterback snap makes it that was Cooper W right there definitely on a blitz quarterback was trying to do a little bootle turned around and Cooper white was already right in front of him brings up fourth down it's my birthday so fourth and seven looks like it's going to be four down territory now for the
103wild cats B the Eagles 46 yd line doubles got big 80 out here quarterback looking deep two guys for the Eagles in the back field quarterback scrambles throws it cross the middle picked off by Mason vagley is second of the night he gets up to the middle of the field keeps his feet moving spins around he's brought down at the 49 yd line and good field position for the Eagles offense now look like quarterback had a receiver looks like he had a receiver uh down the middle of the field but kind of overthrew it a little bit kind of over his head and Mason in the right spot again second interception on the night single receivers Keegan out wide two running backs fake it to one hand it off to Hicks goes up the middle
104to the original line of scrimmage nothing going there was a high and slow snap kind of threw the play off from the start look like janic lined up behind the Right Guard guard not on the tackle there couldn't get engaged once again and he's kind of like a kickout block there so Logan has to read him not able to cut it up field there motion man Nelson throw it out to him on a bubble he's going to have to make something happen nothing's going on though I lost a yard maybe two you know watching cam a couple times this year on his blocks I don't know if his shoulder still hurting him but rather than blocking with his hands and initiating contact he just kind of throws a shoulder out there and really doesn't even
105make a blockage it's almost like he just gets in the way yeah and then the guys that bounce off of his getting the way block are able to make the tackle third and 10 under nine minutes to go now empty backfield motion man's going to be Nelson fake it to him vaguely keeps it gets up maybe a gain of one fourth and nine I would imagine the Eagles punt here here coach Herer looks down at G he says Punt and I think that's what we're going to do nothing going for the Eagles as they all come walking off the field this time Mason going to be doing the punting around the 40 one yd line puts his heels on the 40 return man's at the 15 oh gosh he got hit he got hit great
106punt caught at the seven returnable good job there by I believe that's steel again keep saying his name tonight Cameron steel good job getting down field so there's either running into the kicker or roughing the kicker that looked like just running into the kicker so it should just be a five yard penalty good job there by Cameron sto steel getting off of his block and making the tackle Mason was able to get the kick off kind of just ran into him they say it's fourth down on the so it's our ball again right here this time the Eagles are going to go for it Cam's your quarterback trying to go out wide he fumbles it ball goes straight up in the air turnover on Downs see and that's I [Music] don't been killing them on
107the bubbles all night and you line up in this formation that you're used to inside five yard line but again there you look at the replay there's four guys in the back field from Salem nobody really did any blocking so two fumbles two different running backs tonight for the Eagles Jace had one in that first drive janic fumbles there Salem will get the ball at the 46 two receivers to the left two running backs One Man in Motion left to right going to be a handoff right up the middle nothing going looks like Corbin and and Bryant in on that tackle loss of one Eagles coming into the game plus seven on the giveaway takeaway stat sheet I think Mr Reeves is up here behind us wanting to do an interview maybe not okay I
108didn't think so I thought we'd ask a little impromptu here you go Jared wants to talk to you oh gosh what's up Mr re how's it going it's going all right what a great night tonight a lot of uh fans in here for homecoming week had the uh junior cheerleaders before yeah I don't know if you heard that they they had 192 kids attend the camp that is a lot of kids so tonight we had just about 150 out there on the field okay we recognized the homecoming Court too is uh right before the game had a lot of stuff before the game of course tomorrow night's the dance we'll have a coronation is there a theme what's the theme this year uh games one games okay grade levels third down now only a gain
109of about three there third and five we'll call it looks like they're going to line up trips to the right side single receiver to the left pistol back he going to hand it off right up the middle nothing going has to Bounce It Outside looks like Cooper W there on the tackle loss of about three going to bring up fourth down coach coach G's got that defense playing pretty strong tonight yeah I don't know if you saw I mean you were there last week weren't you that about 12-minute drive in that second quarter so yeah had to make some adjustments at halftime especially this week one of the longest drives I've seen I think I think we said that on the broadcast last week too at any level correct would be nice if they can
110get a keep it as a shut out tonight yep get away with a nice win no injuries fourth down looks like the punt team is out Nelson standing on the 20 waiting for this one punt is away it's going to bounce around the 25 and down at the 28 we'll call it Eagles offense coming back out Alex you got any questions for Mr Reeves so Mr Reeves with homecoming week this this week how'd the uh festivities go today was the uh no school today yesterday was the uh home homecoming games yeah went great how did it all go went great students are excited throughout it it's uh it's a crazy day but it's a a fun day who who gets a spirit stick this year seniors yeah seniors yeah happens every year somehow well I
111guess a couple years back Juniors took it but uh was that your Year Jared no that was after you after you Jason Nelson on a great run to the left side gets it from the 28 up to the 50 good for 22 yards so this year's theme what is the theme um I believe it's game days right right game days yep so we had some uh so Uno was the Freshman Juniors was a freeze out or ice out or oh I don't break the ice oh don't break the ice yeah I think that's um oh Wednesday night we had the parade and we had more of a turnout Wednesday night than or at the parade than we have in the last couple years it was fantastic we had over 35 floats participate recognize some retiring
112teachers retiring staff members it was a great showing like I said more than we've had last couple years so it was it was great to see it another run there by the Eagles number two Logan Hicks good for 24 yards what's your favorite part of homecoming do you have one do you like the craziness do you like the everyday sometimes my favorite part is when it's over Monday morning when it the next week Saturday night we got the dance over and uh and everything went well it's a a lot of pressure on the student council and our sponsor and we want the week to go perfect and this this has been a pretty successful week I'm really happy with it so we have the dance tomorrow night boy it's uh going to have a lot
113of people dressed up looking fantastic and a great time dancing so it is it is a great week the craziness is fun but a week is long enough all right well here we go we got the Eagles here at the 15 with just over four minutes to go here in the third quarter hopefully we'll get in the end zone here with Mr Reeves on air yeah going to be a handoff nothing going high snap I don't know if there's really much blocking going on late penalty flag gets thrown in look at the catching on real quick here he watches lot of football it's a great view up here you can see it all well anytime you want to come up and join us up here we'll uh we'll make a seat we got an extra
114headset for you now too so the third quarter with the principal there you go perfect how many years have you been principal now at Columbia uh I've been a principal in the district for 20 years uh I was at the middle school or was at the high school as an assistant for seven at the middle school as the principal for five and then is my eth year uh back up at the high school school so it's it's it's been a while 20 years it's hard to believe Eagles are going to have first down and four we'll call it two running backs fake it to Jace hand the ball off to Hicks he gets up to about the three yd line going to be good for first and goal been here long enough for three of
115you in this room to be yeah be students so we talk about the parade that happened on Wednesday night you had 30 something floats you said yeah over over 35 floats yes 35 floats so that's got to be one of the biggest ones for homecoming wise that I can remember but it was always fun whenever the classes each got to decorate the float the way they wanted to you get to honor homecoming court and like you said some of the uh the retiring teachers how many do you have in the district or is it in the school how did they do that it's in the whole District we have we had four uh Mr gagan's retiring Miss faren at the Middle School Miss Klein at the middle school and Miss FY at the middle school
116so three uh three Middle School teachers and one high school and it's good that we get to honor them and uh it's always cool getting to watch the parade and you get to see those teachers that you had I mean I had all of those teachers and getting to see that they're getting to retire uh is always fun here second and three second goal from the three could have I think that RPO there could have almost been a handoff in for a touchdown but instead goes incomplete so C's going to be your sniffer back he's in between the guard and Tackle to the right side Jace is your running back handed off up the middle untouched into the end zone for Columbia Eagles touchdown nice run nice run so that takes the Corey Pharmacy scoreboard
117Columbia 23 Salem zero and there's a smoke machine going off there we go pretty fancy lot of new additions this year I like the spicing up the the show I like it oh I thanks for having me up I'm going to go ahead and run you got to get down and get to work huh all right well thanks for joining us Mr Reeves we'll uh we'll see you in a couple weeks on senior night you bet thank you all right Keegan on for the pat good snap good hold kick is up pushed it to the right but sneaks it in for another successful Pat out to Keegan and that takes the score 24-0 we're going to run to a break show you our sponsors and when we come back we'll have the Eagles defense before
118the fourth quarter starts right after this [Music] welcome back to kchs 24-0 315 remaining in the third quarter good drive there for the Eagles from start to finish yeah Jason Nelson able to get in the end zone there still three possession game Keegan Thompson getting ready to send this one deep Gotta Love Mr Rees don't you great guy boy that far official that's the second off Sid or fall start whatever you want to call it he's called tonight haven't seen that all year just when you start to get a little bit of a flow a little bit of a feel going and that happens the Corbin's grandparents are listening from Cincinnati and Miss Harris as always coming to you from Tennessee nowadays so thank you for everybody for watching Once Again Eagles lead this homecoming
119game 24-0 trying to become eligible for the playoffs SRO mcorder over here with the student section giving somebody some trouble Breeze Central now leads it 28-6 in the third quarter Eagles send it deep going to be caught at the 13 yd line up the middle they go going to be nothing going once he hits the 25 though a swarm of eagles making the tackle led by number 72 Dylan Robinson and I believe it's going to be number 21 coming off the pile at the end Ethan Hill see if we can keep this goose egg up on the board like number 80 is a little shaken up the big tight end don't forget if you're looking for something to do in a couple weeks the veterans parade by the sons of the American Legion and their
120honor Q $30 tickets for the dance we just watched the replay number 80 might be seeing Stars a little bit he got hit pretty good I don't know who gets him oh he hit his head on the ground too I think that's what I think it's going to be musk up that makes contact with him as a hard hit might be seeing Stars that's never fun you ever saw Stars after a hit I'm sure I did I don't remember yeah that's that's probably part of that that that's concussion protocol if I've ever heard of it yeah maybe that's why my memory is so bad what my fiance my teller it's because of football just play it on football nowadays the Eagles have helmet sensors so when they do hit their head uh the trainer has
121a little remote in her pocket it'll vibrate make a noise and make a flash noise or a flash light go off so she knows if there uh contact is too hard on the head because it's not the uh first hit that's dangerous it's the ones thereafter run up the middle Hudson Bryant right there right away gain of one second and nine Brian on that edge is he's been he's been a problem for for some offensive lines because they can't get to him in time he's so quick off the ball on the right side there he's goes untouched number 18 was supposed to block him and kick him out but Brian already in the back field we've talked about it before you look at our two I'm going to call them a tackle if Mankey uh
122Corbin I think now they got John do out there those guys clogging up the middle and then Janik and Hudson on the outside Blitzen backers good mix pass to the left side just that quick one yard Route turns into a 20 30 35 turns into a touchdown for the Wildcats I knew they were going to break one at some point with those little five yard let's see if it was even five yards nope about a two- yard hitch route takes it to the house so let's call it a two-yard Route 71 yards after the catch and contact they made contact with him right away I mean if they're going to do that I almost like going up and moving into a press coverage type not letting them get off the ball if they're not even
123going to run five yards down field well that was a little bit of a killer there right as I talk about the goose egg too man got the broadcaster curse so Salem's going to come out they're going to go for two under Center to throw a little jump pass and it's going to be caught number three in the corner of the end zone it's good takes the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard Columbia 24 Salem eight and that was just there like I said two yard Route Jared you you called it all night I know I just I don't know why we're playing so far off the ball we've said that for six weeks now I know cuz even whenever you see things on our side of things on the our offensive side um when they don't have
124a linebacker or anything guarding a slot receiver that's why those bubbles worked in the whole first half because nobody's out there it's two on one the whole time we'd like to wish good luck to the other fall Sports going on right now uh playoffs will be coming up here soon for regionals I guess you'd call it for soccer volleyball uh golf I believe they've already gone to sectionals I believe we have a golfer I'm going to try to find out a name real quick I believe he's going to State as a team we qualified for sectionals but did not advance but will be [Music] heading one individual I believe Kyle chud finished fifth place I believe chud was on homecoming court tonight too yep he finished in fifth place at sectionals and is advancing to
125State on October 19th is that even it's coming up it's next week Salem sends it deep goes out of Bounds at about the 32 yd line boys finished in eighth at sectionals to finish with an outstanding season volleyball they um pairings just came out see if we can pull those up real quick their subsectional is absolutely loaded with Columbia Breeze Central Breeze modern day Nashville got some Powerhouse volleyball right there mhm two possession game now Salem right back in this one so hopefully Columbia offense can try to get in the end zone here again doubles to the right side turn around hand the ball off to Nelson up the middle good strong run gain of nine second and one now second and one 150 left now in this third quarter after that Salem 71 yd
126touchdown to make it 24 to8 doubles to the right side and the ball off up the middle first down and then some 40 yd line get going Logan Hicks to the 30 2520 race to the Pilon 105 pylon inzone touchdown Eagles 50 5 yd run Logan Hicks breaks through the line shows off the Speed gone that's kind of what happened earlier he tried cutting it back earlier if he would have just kept out running the guys great job Logan Hicks the old lineman he used to be a lineman can you believe that from wide receiver to Center to running back kind of wide receiver kind of he's done at all good snap Place kick good man if you're if you're Salem you're thinking score that quick and you're right back in the game and then
127all it takes is about a minute and a half to extend that lead even more I believe now if you throw the field goal in and three Pats for I guess it'd be four Pats for Keegan he's 20 Pats and the three uh three field goals catch that one too I don't know I just saw him give the pie that's awesome that is awesome I love the smile that dude is always smiling yep he comes and visits me in the afternoon gets off his bike he's got a smile on his face right away I think he's yelling at me before he even comes through the door too 23-point lead now for Columbia after Logan Hicks touched down before that Salem scored on a 71 y down that left sideline to make it a two- possession
128game but Columbia scores quick to bring it back up to a three possession game Keegan sends this one deep high and deep caught at the nine yd line up the middle Salem goes this time finds a void Eagles are going to bring him down at the 36 is Aaron P probably the longest return on all night I don't think they've got past the 30 so Salem gets the ball minute 25 both teams have all three timeouts Eagles lead the Kia conference matchup 31 to8 Central looking like they're going to improve to seven and0 with a victory over Roxana doubles to the left side sniffer back right pistol back running back quarterback takes a hand off hands it off to him nothing going brought down KAS musk loss of one on the play trying to find
129some other scorers CBC beats viani 63-3 ooo altof leads mod day at halftime 33 nothing that's closer than I thought it was going to be second and 11 clock ticking e St Louis leads Alton 41 nothing at halftime doubles to the left side sniffer back left running back to the right quarterback looks left double move looking deep got a man over there and it's going to be caught at about the 32 two missed tackles 25 now there's more Eagles getting down there big catch from the 35 to the 17 yd line couple arm tackles there x with one of them Keegan Thompson comes out of nowhere puts the boom on kid was a little shaken up after that one but pop right back up first and 10 from the 17 22nd to go in the
130third quarter quarterback hands the ball off to number 18 up the middle tries to bust it to the outside nothing going brought down on the play by number two Logan Hicks that should bring it to the quarter with just under five minutes or five seconds now loss of two brings up a second and 12 whenever we return with the fourth quarter right here on kchs we'll be back after this a [Music] n [Music] we return to kchs it's all Eagles tonight 31 to8 talking about volleyball the volleyball team gets the number two seed and I guess it's considered their subsectional I don't really know how it all works anymore but they will get the winner of red bud and Chester and Nashville is the three seed if you look at R sectional I guess we'll
131call it that ston the one Columbia 2 Nashville three Hillsboro four those four teams all get a buy double tight for Salem motion man number three fake it to him up the middle they go with number two muskot making a tackle again gain a one Alto and Roxanna will play each other the winner of that will face Nashville Columbia is the host of their Regional so it could set up if all the top seeds win a two seed Columbia three seed Nashville in a Regional Championship on Thursday the 31st at 6 p.m. Little Tommy trumpet or something Timmy trumpet is that what this is I don't know but at the missou game that was crazy trips to the right side single receiver out wide quarterback rolling out to the right side he's got number 10
132he's looking through his options going to be caught I believe gain of four four fourth down and seven quarterback had number 10 right away it's where he ended up going with it in the end but ran through his progressions good little play there out of the quarterback showing patience and knowing that he had that guy right there good defense by The Eagles downfield too X had the middle receiver Mason went to the end zone with the Deep receiver and I guess that would be pool over on that side sticking with the short oh that would be Nelson over there flip the formation trips to the left side ball on the right hash fourth and seven quarterback's looking left pressure muskot forces him to throw it got to make an open field tackle and we do
133once again turnover on Downs Eagles football Cooper W in the right spot again just able to pitter patter his feet make a good tackle had about three four there with him before he could get to that first down marker Eagles Take the ball back with 1025 doubles to the right side into the boundary bigley takes a snap hands the ball off up the middle it's Nelson who gets slung from behind and tackled but it's going to be good for 11 yards first and 10 Jace is just a little bit too fast for quivero quivero is pulling but Jace just runs by him Mason slowing things down now 20 seconds on the play clock hopefully he's running this one under 10 now same formation same play once again Jace up the middle good for 15 yards
134this time where he's brought down we're joined at the 25 yard line with Brenan W Brenan thanks for joining us again on the field Alex thank you sir for having me homecoming night here tonight it's all Eagles 318 tell me what you've seen on the field tonight and what you've watched on the Eagles offense to get in the points on the board uh offensively they're taking care of business I mean Logan Hicks and Jay Nelson doing a great job I mean they're just they're dominating they're running up the field they can't be touched um just comes down to execution now just got to keep the ball on the ground don't make stupid mistakes High snap brought down by vagle handed off to Jace once again good for another nine we'll call it second and one
135some play like that right there that snap is two foot fo High compared to normal it can throw a playoff though from the start right away absolutely I mean 9 minutes I mean that's not a lot of time but that's enough time and I mean you gota you have to run that clock out as much as you can uh secure a good win for homecoming night have a have a better night tomorrow night you know I mean you gotta go into the weekend happy what was your favorite homecoming tradition oh that's a tough question football I mean you can't beat Jace up the middle good for first down in the Wildcat territory keeps his feet moving to the 20 where he gets knocked out of bounds big run about 30 35 yards first and 10
136for the Eagles are you a big dancer on Saturday night uh h no no not at all Saturday night Friday night doesn't matter oh you're too sh Friday nights oh I dance on Friday nights every day oh okay all the time I thought you just said you're too shy I was like how can you be C's brother and be shy too much adrenaline going through you on a Friday night oh okay shy Saturday night homecoming night though I mean I not that's not my thing but you know I I think uh I think just the whole atmosphere I mean you have Spirit weak you get all the the costume stuff like that bagle keeps it himself this time gets behind Keegan it's going to get in for an Eagles touchdown but a penalty flag on
137the Play Holding is initial indication Brandon let's talk defense real quick we've only given up eight points it was on one big play when you look at the defensive backs I know you're a linebacker when you look at the defensive backs and how deep they play what are your thoughts behind it uh you hear our thoughts what's yours uh I think it's just about letting a big play it's just like uh just like the one that scores a touchdown and then you got a big pass play that nearly gets a touchdown but luckily it stopped um it's just you just got to be smart you gota you gotta keep it close and you just don't make big mistakes don't don't let up big plays such as that Eagles lost of 10 on the play doubles
138to their right side first down and 20 this time going to hand the ball off to Jace up the middle gets behind his blockers keeps his feet moving gain of about seven second and 13 all right Brennan we uh thank you for joining us once again we might we might run it down to you as a post game real quick we'll talk to you in a couple minutes all righty we'll see you second and 13 thanks to Brennan W for uh the replay monitor up here for us tonight and joining us down on the field doubles of the right side sniffer back right under eight minutes to go now vley pass play he's going to look across the field he's got Hicks throws it over to the corner of the end zone and it's going
139to fall incomplete had a man maybe a little bit better of the ball Hicks would have had it but it falls incomplete it's not picked off live to see another down looks like Hicks just ran like a post route almost kind of drug it all the way out Mason just kind of overthrows it clock stops at 7:47 will be third and long for Columbia game just really started to drag now all of a sudden yep I mean the fans haven't been into it student section sitting down doubles to the right side same formation Bley takes the snap hands it off loss on the play believe that's Corbin got beat on that one just got his face cross there and he got beat in the right spot just not quick enough good to see Brody furo
140I just noticed he's back in at center after an injury last week so uh nice to see that got your starting center back looks like we're going to let this run to the end of the play clock be under seven minutes to go on the game clock coach Warner is going to burn timeout be about a 42 yard kick what was vag's kick a couple years ago that was in the 40s yeah like 42 43 something like that set him out there give him a shot it's the worst that happens you miss it did you ever kick field goals no I kicked one time I never told you this during a game yeah it was my freshman year JV game coach bidlack come up to me goes slam we need a kicker for freshman I
141said I I don't know how to kick I can't do that he goes it's easy you run up you kick it how hard can this be so I kicked off and uh they made the tackle probably after I kicked the ball about six yards and longer the kicker I picked the tea up about 12 yards I kick the te farther in the ball I come running off and Coach PC goes yeah you're right you can't kick hey tried to tried to tell you just don't want to listen to me yeah I'm not anything with my feet who's the best kicker you've seen in like oh man Columbia history you think he asked me about kickers kickers aren't athletes kickers are people too man oh man come on gosh I don't I probably couldn't name you
142seven kickers in Columbia history really yeah trips to the left side running back left I like trying to show some trying to show some love for the kickers out here man Nelson's a single receiver to his right side I like this matchup going to be a roll to the left side three receivers over there vaguely throws it to the middle of the field it's caught by Hicks first and goal for the Eagles good job there by Logan finding an opening sitting down and it's a first down I mean if if I got to think about some kickers let me see if I can just name seven we're going to go Justin Anders because he was mine you Sam Greg [Music] Long uh I think Andrew doset was in there that's five Eric Frederick go way
143back in the day um well I mean I guess we can call Keegan now so maybe I can there you go who's the best one I they all rank the same doubles to the right side turn around hand the ball off Nelson up the middle untouched into the end zone touchdown Eagles Cory Pharmacy scoreboard with 631 remaining Columbia 37 Salem 8 who's your top it's between Greg and Sam for me Greg was Greg was pretty automatic but he I feel like Greg just had a bigger leg Sam was probably more accurate you think so yep kick is up and it is good number three's been on that edge trying to block it almost all night long brings it 38-8 with 631 left in this ball game he's there every every time so Eagles lead by
14430 homecoming week how many push-ups cheerleaders up to now so we went up seven nothing then it went to se to 10 so there's 17 then we scored a touchdown right yep right 17 plus 24 well no then they did another 17 so that would be 34 so then they went to 24 we went 24 nothing right yep yep 24 then 24 to eight so then it went to 31 after that I have no idea I don't know why I'm I'm struggling usually I figure this up pretty quick yeah Cunningham to do the kicking this time kicking left to right from the 40 sends it deep going to be returnable from the 20 yd line where it's fumbled going to have to pick it up nothing going good job there Cas Muska gets brought down
145Adam whm too another kicker out there 62 25 left now Salem going to take over looks like a couple Subs coming in Aaron pool checking in Hub checking in looks like number 70 Malachi betet also 57 in the game John do if my math is correct 127 push-ups for the cheerleaders tonight Giver takes a few yeah TJ you get to call this uh this drive here you do not want me doing this while running the camera too I can't look and see some guy runs the ball and three or four guys tackling and you're muted back to you Alex yeah and mute brought down on the play Cam janic and hubard making the tackle after a gain of four when we goingon to have Josh on here at some point that's one thing we don't
146want second and six from the Salem [Music] 39 doubles to the right side sniffer back right single receiver fake it to him bootleg caught by number 18 Keegan making a Chase going to make the attempt and it's going to be brought down Aaron P good job chasing the play down and making the tackle at the 31 big gain though about a 40 yard gain there doubl to the left side running back left sniffer back left quarterback looking left looking into the end zone flings it up no one in the area Falls incomplete second and 10 good job there by the Eagles defense still no I was looking for an update on that uh Central score but still says 286 in the third that was 40 minutes ago as always listening up at Aces Wild tonight
147have all the games on every week if you're uh on a road game need to listen head on up especially next week if you're not able to make the trip to Bree Central shaping up to be probably the biggest game of the year so far doubles the left side under Center quarterback hands the ball off up the middle number 22 good powerful run gain of eight third and two [Music] now approaching five minutes left in the ball game most the starters are out on the defensive side now quarterback turns around hands it off to number 18 nothing going fumble on the play looks like 28 was the one force it Cooper Fox was in the back field for the Eagles before I think the running back even had the ball loss of four good job
148there by Cooper getting back there Salem was able to recover fumble fourth and five Eagles trying to keep that eight on the board doubles to the left side two running backs quarterback just throws a now outout to number three and it falls incomplete and I'm glad that it did because I believe that was pool was a safety trying to guard him and he was 10 yards deep it's kind of been story of the night on defense that's all they've really P wasn't even in the picture beat us on but Eagles take over with 411 looks like X is going to take over for his brother at the quarterback position empty backfield single receivers out X looking to the right motion man number 10 for the Eagles fake it to him up the Middle with X
149puts his foot in the ground running pretty high he's going to learn at the varsity level you better get those shoulder pads down unless he's going to get cut in half number 10 there Max Jer was the motion man oh X going to give it to you oh play on words there I like that c Dre and Matt vagley are in charge of Music Cole probably has no idea what that song even is it's not slip knot or corn or something like that he has no idea X has a running back believe that's number 24 going to turn around hand the ball off to him up the middle I believe that'sall Jackson lawall gain of eight first and 10 for the Eagles good to see two freshman back there getting some reps at Varsity ball
150it's the future of Columbia backfield right there here in a couple years 315 and Counting now in this week seven matchup can't believe week Seven's already almost over Alex quick one motion man number 10 going out wide for the Eagles is Dre this time going to be vaguely just keeping himself gets to the original line of scrimmage maybe a gain of one second nine don't forget next week the Eagles travel to Clinton County to take on the central cougars who will go into that game s and0 Conference Championship on the line there if Central wins they will be the outright Champion if Columbia is able to win I believe it'll be a three-way tie and I have no idea who the representative would be for postseason reasoning the conference Champion gets an automatic bid into
151the postseason trips to the left side empty backfield vaguely by himself SS Jackson In Motion hands the ball off out wide he puts his foot in the ground gets up field look at the speed out to Jackson leall he's tripping himself up keeps himself moving though slung down at the Salem 39 nope 34 great run there good for about 20 yards great burst of speed once he hit that secondary and then able to break a tackle or two that may be able to do it now get into the victory formation here [Music] soon doubles to the right side ball in the right hash turns around hands the ball off to lall nothing going that time late penalty flag looks like a they're going to call a hold Jake vulmer is the eagle that's over there
152holding is the call L of 10 first down I can't believe we're not just taking Victory right here yeah under 120 left now it looks like that's what we're switching into you we got to snap it about two or three times here and Eagles are going to end up having to burn a timeout to make sure that Victory is set up right able to figure it out it's the greatest formation in football when you can get in a victory formation going to have to run one more play once it gets under 40 seconds we can snap it so the Eagles are going to improve five- two on the season makes them playoff eligible now it comes down to if we can get one more Victory we lock ourselves in if we cannot then it comes
153down to playoff points so hopefully the Eagles are able to get a victory next week even against Central in locked themselves in Conference Championship it's all going to be a fun one next week Jared your thoughts on tonight's game um I was a little nervous there in the beginning having that fumble but once we got that ball back and Coach horer got in a rhythm uh running those bubble routes and just getting his Playmakers an open space and letting them uh do what their best at and make plays um I think overall that's what we're going to have to do a lot more moving forward uh just get it in hicks's hands as much as possible Nelson Keegan uh maybe even get Cooper W in there um a little bit get let him touch the
154ball um janic as well so it's nice to see spreading the ball around a little bit um and when you're quarterback doesn't have to run as much as we've seen throughout the season I bet he only had four or five carries and I that would be my guess so um and it's also good to come out of here with uh no injuries no injuries get to go in dance the night away with homecoming and uh dance away with a 38 to8 Victory thanks again to for uh watching for listening tuning in we'll do it again in next week for Josh rushing TJ white Jared Germaine Jared happy 25th birthday bud thank you sir we'll see you next week 6:30 pregame show from Breeze Eagles win go Eagles baby MO [Music] n [Music]
