001e [Music] n [Music] H gets off it's going to go to the left side they kicked it away from vaguely it's going to be picked up by vagle at the 33 he's going to run he's going to get to the 35 he's going to try to make something happen he's got the right side he's got blockers to him in front of him he's going to make one man miss he got himself the sideline he's at 20 he's at the 10 five Eagles touchdown Eagles that's going on no penalties on on the play it is a touchdown for Dominic vagley 67 yards and I can't believe what just happened that's going on my [Applause] [Music] broadcast steps up he's looking to the end zone he's got somebody in the middle of the end zone it's going
002to be intense for number four give me that going to be P interception I believe that's J nson give me that game pick it off in the end zone ball game Eagles boy oh boy did we have some fun last week in week three football and it sets us up here for Cahokia conference in week four give me that Jared Eagles survived last week they survived the tornadoes after the hour and 40 minute bus ride had a great night up in Taylorville and it all came down to the one play and the one thing that Jared didn't want he didn't want that Hail Mary to be in the end zone with a game on the line and that's what he got and the Eagles defense stepped up huge yeah it was probably one of our
003favorite games uh that we've ever called if I'm being honest with you but yeah last week was a fun game up in Taylorville um it was pretty much felt like whoever had the ball last was going to win um but we were lucky enough to get an interception the gim me that at the end of the game there so um great ending to get in the conference play now tonight's broadcast like every broadcast this year is brought to you by the Columbia quarterback Club if you would like to get involved with the Columbia quarterback Club look at for their website Columbia QB club.com there's ways for you to get involved on there if you'd like to donate you can donate and checks are accepted to their po. box at po. box 431 Columbia Illinois 62236
004and like I said without them we wouldn't have a broadcast this year for everybody listen to so thank you to the Columbia quarterback club for making that possible and Jared let's talk a little bit more about last week real quick before we jump into tonight we talked about how much we thought the defensive backs were playing great this year and that stepped up big all night with open field tackling with keeping plays in front of them and then obviously the interception in the end zone I think most of it too was on first and second down you got to win first and second down like we didn't do against water two weeks ago um they would have those easy second and shorts into third and shorts and then get those first downs so I think
005that was one of the biggest things last week was um on first and second down winning those downs and then forcing them into a third and long and um trying to get that ball back that brings us here to Columbia for the first time since uh what week two we were here now we get two weeks to be back at home I think we got the stream going up and good right now we got lucky last week I think but now I think it's skill now we got two weeks in a row where everything's working we've got Callins going on now we've got a a button over here that we can talk to each other over over live talk it's it's getting cool up here and uh it's going to get exciting hopefully these streams
006keep getting bigger and better and uh one of our sponsors this week is electrod door and they brought our pregame meal for the boys tonight my name's Cameron I'm Logan and we'd like to take a second to say thank you to electrod door and Matt Brooker for providing a team meal before the game and for sponsoring the colia football team go eag go Eagles thank you to Electro door once again Tequilas Jared what's your favorite meal of Tequilas burrito ALC Carbone really steak with cheese on it and can't beat it can't beat it probably got beans and rice and stuff with it too y i i go call me a child you called me a child last no it's not that bad come on now it's it's not that bad but you eat Chick-fil-A with
007ketchup that is just that's a crime and I go to Tequila's chicken rice and cheese it's all you need I don't need any of that other stuff no I don't need tomatoes I don't need sour cream and lettuce and that's just all filler you don't need that you need you need the basics that one's fine not as bad as last week so that well good I'm glad I'm I'm stepping up in the world then hey that makes it a little bit easier you know you say I'm getting better and everything but as the play-by-play and the main dude you put me right in the middle of this post right here in the 50 yard line we're going to have to SC a little bit so uh hey let's talk a little bit about last week
008now um most exciting game you said that you enjoyed I enjoyed the 2019 game up in Prairie Central against Fairbury that was pretty good game we didn't leave Victorious though so I'll put last week up on top I think overall it was just it it was just like I said earlier it was whoever had the ball last felt like uh was going to win and we had everything going against us driving almost two-hour bus ride um I know they had a half day last week on that Friday so you didn't know if guys were going to be focused and ready to play but um played really good overall o line and dline played really well um we ran the ball dang good um and then we saw a couple different formations from coach orner that
009he's used in the first couple weeks um putting cam janick in that little Wildcat position that was probably one of the best best things that happened in that fourth quarter um taking about six minutes off the clock for us to punch one in I didn't realize it took uh until Zack Dy texted me that last week's win was the 300th win I thought it was the week before but how said now the ihsa has got an extra one in there that we never even played the game he said so last last week was the 300th victory for Columbia High School um at Taylorville and it was the first time we beat Taylorville believe too yeah we went into the game 0 and2 uh had a playoff loss and a regular season loss so first time
010winning in Taylorville and 300th win overall and like you said let's talk about the lineman real quick I said that they didn't look that big Taylorville but then I looked at the stat sheet those dudes were huge and our line offensively and defensively did a great job and I think that's based off the first two weeks we our o line and D line were kind of struggling a little bit um when especially when your dline um is getting pushed back three four yards that makes it a lot harder for your uh Corners uh safeties and linebackers to come up and make tackles so um last week was a great job by the dline um just to get in that back field and uh lose yardage on first and second down let's go ahead and talk
011about the offense real quick and we've talked about nothing but good things consistency is the first word there uh it's the best that we played I thought best that I saw Mason vagle I thought as well and then the Uglies like we just mentioned great night all the way around 226 yards on the ground 91 yards through the air I think Mason was six for 10 on the night uh try it here on this stat sheet six for 10 91 yards for one touchdown he threw the ball to three different receivers Jay Nelson had three receptions for 31 yards Logan Hicks two receptions for 46 and Keegan Thompson had one reception as well and uh you go all the way around great game offensively for the Eagles I thought all night yeah and the stock
012blocking has been uh really impressive too um having jce Nelson and Logan Hicks in motion a lot of the time times uh we're going to read a dend or one of the linebackers so Mason's done a great job of reading those two guys um and giving the ball and our stock blocking like I said has been great we have a lot of outside uh runs in our in our package so um it was nice to see wide receivers go out there make good blocks and um try to get those running backs some open space one thing that I enjoy seeing too out of our two-headed monster we'll call it as as running backs you got Jace he's got the speed I think on one of the uh plays you even said show him that speed
013M he's got the speed he's got the foot work the agility he puts his foot in the ground and goes then you have Cam Janet coming in who's surprised me tremendously this year I think and he's not afraid to put his foot in the ground he's going to lower shoulder on you and we got Hicks that we could put back there as well so having I think I said this week one but when you have three running backs that you can kind of mix up and sometimes you put them all in on the same play like we did last week in that Wildcat we'd have three upbs with Cam janic just following them right up the middle and I bet uh it was 11 verse N I remember talking to Coach George up in the
014Press Box um during the game he's like if they're not going to change anything on the defensive side of the ball keep running the same play and that's what we kept doing um and o line was doing great just making open spaces for janic to to work and they always say defense wins championships I'm a quarterback I don't believe in all that stuff you got to have the points but last week's defense fewest yards allowed for the tornadoes all season coming into the first two weeks uh they had 277 yards and 199 rushing and then uh passing and then so then rushing we gave up 187 yards I think rushing gave up 124 I'm sorry I had those backwards and then the rush pass everything was doing good we just did a great job all
015night for him and then You' go over to points scored 38 points in week one 34 in week two and then we stop them for the uh 27 points defensively did a great job all night and I think the LA the biggest thing of that game was in that fourth quarter when uh we were just trying to milk the clock a little bit and the coaches were trying to make Taylorville call all their timeouts and we were able to do that um I know he took the lead later in the game and gave them the ball back with I want to say two minutes and no timeouts so um overall it was a great the last 10 minutes of the game were were awesome and then let's look at you know different D Ben don't
016break when I say a different D I left that up there for two weeks now we played great defensively against Moder day and then I put different D because when we played against waterl it was a completely different defense it was a different defense last week it was very similar to what we did against Moder day yeah and I also think that something that's been good for the Eagles defense this year we're not really giving up big plays um I know last year we gave up a lot of big plays uh whether it be third and long or even third and short um we let a guy go past us over our head so um that's been something huge for this Columbia defense this year um forcing punts um forcing turnover on Downs um and
017getting that ball back for our offense and then I said in the beginning of the broadcast kept everybody in front no arm tackles made good open field tackles the best thing though you don't have to be good if you're lucky thank goodness they needed that last batch of popcorn because that running back slipped out of the back field and oh no that's all you said and if that dude didn't make the popcorn we would have been in a little bit different spot but you know what it sometimes you got to have those breaks this year hopefully it's our year last year we how many times were we in games and we never caught that break and then you couldn't get the victory so it was a great game all the way around last last week
018some of the stats you had one sack out of the weekend Keegan Thompson had that one interception with Jace that's the only thing you need to talk about give me that and uh Hudson Bryant and Keegan Thompson eight total tackles Hicks vagley and Furlow had seven and one thing that I will mention right off the bat here we talked a lot about Cooper W and his blitzing and everything koop's not afraid to stick his head in there I don't know what he says on the stat sheet it can't say much cuz he's little guy but he'll get in there with them big uglies and have no fear yeah he's not afraid of any contact and he he does his job uh through the first couple weeks so um all his job is to really force
019force things back inside and not a lot of guys want to do that because they're afraid of contact but he does a great job of lowering his shoulder and letting those linemen come to him and let those other linebackers come up and make tackles and I got got a little dog in them too because if somebody comes up and pushes them he's going to turn around and yeah he's going to look at him first he may he may try to retaliate but he's going to size him up at least so he's not just going to run in there and go all crazy we're still 22 minutes away from opening kickoff here it's blue jay night forgot to mention that and uh one thing that I do need to mention as well last week I kept
020saying Alicia Oglesby Alicia it's Alicia Oak lesby I didn't catch on that I was doing that and everyone's made fun of me so Alicia my apologies thank you from Edward Jones for donating last week's team meal and uh hopefully I'm I need a pronunciation guide up here with us from now on I guess so 21 minutes away we're going to run to a commercial break when we come back we're going to talk to you about conference play because it is the opening week for conference in the kokia conference we'll talk about the schedule what we have coming up and then we'll talk all about this big rock SI team coming in and uh a good match up what we have so stay tuned on kchs [Music] he [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] there [Music] you

022Hicks Hudson Bryant Mason vagley and cam Janik have no idea who Roxana sent out there but those are our typical four captains that we have every week once again we'd like to thank tines for supplying the food up here we had some appetizers for the volunteers and the Press Box guys Chain Gang Sharky and and how he came up so thank you to tines for doing that once again for us and uh we got a birthday shout out we need to give for we a couple hours early but we'll give it to him anyway Scotty G coach Germaine gonna be 50 again we'll call it yeah we'll just keep it there right yeah that's fine with me all right we're running through doing all of the test out here now we've got smoke machines this
023week air horns going off somebody has a drill up here I think too um that's an air horn so pretty cool stuff so Jared let's talk conference week this week week week one um we've talked about it a couple times we've showed you Columbia roxan Central Salem freeberg and East Alton Wood River that's the Mississippi division the large division um then you have two other divisions of smaller schools wesland Chester Oakville Redbud Sparta carile or your medium Illinois division cascy as the smallest new aens valm Dupo Steeleville Marissa and Lebanon don't forget Dupo swaps with Oakville whenever it comes to football season other sports they stay separated um your thoughts for the kokia conference this year um who do you who do you like who do you think's going to finish in first and where
024do you think everything goes well the last year or two has been it's all been roxa so that to start off your conference play with uh I believe they went nine and0 in regular season last year as well one overall yeah yeah so I and I made it to the semis I want to say so played a lot of football last year so I think Rox Santa is probably the to W the circle uh this season but you you always know freeberg and Central are always going to be those rivalry games um especially Central um late in the season um when there's a lot of playoff predictions going on and um so yeah I'd probably say Central and Rox Santa circled on the uh on the schedule for me but I mean opening up conference
025play against Rox San at home you you got to love that as a as an eagle that's a big thing you get to open up at home is the biggest part I love the most yeah um you know it's always a big physical game we talked we'll talk a little bit later with the series and how everything's going but um I agree with you I think roxana's got to be up top re centrals coming in they're three and0 this weekend so you got to respect them we can throw a wrench and some fires and then I think the other three like you said freeberg is always a big game so the other three I think will be down in the bottom half but hopefully we can stay up in the top half hopefully we can
026stay in the top one too and lock yourself into the uh the playoffs that you know your conference representative and uh but the big game tonight is going to be Central and freeberg playing each other you look at our schedule though the remaining schedule the big thing to notice and to note Military Appreciation Night is next week it got moved from week two um so don't forget all retired and active military get free admission thanks to the sons of the American Legion and it is our red night um everywhere everyone is asked to wear red and that stands for remember everyone deployed freshly pressed Creations did some shirts for everyone once again and Amanda is going to be making those shirts this week um for everybody where are our where are our opponents uh mod
027day they do not have a conference they're going to be going to Madison waterl opens up MVC play at Triad that's a couple of three and0 teams going there Taylorville and Mount Zion in the Apollo conference one and two vers two and one obviously then we go into the CIA conference games roxanna's here 1-2 freeberg host 3-0 Central and like I said said that's a a odd game because of how big of a rivalry it all kind of turns into being y then wood Rivers two and one kind of shocks me is they're two- one and what shocks me more is Salem's 0 and three um and then you go down skip those next two games go down to Jerseyville one-2 at Civic Memorial who's two- one and that's an MVC game as well correct
028I think so yeah so lot of good football games coming up here and uh the next couple weeks kokia conference always fun anyone can win any night and uh it's going to be exciting next couple weeks yeah I think even going back to last week that's that's it's a big win um getting out of Taylorville coming back home two and one start conference play you get two conference games right in a row here on your home turf so um I think last week was was real big for this team look at the white hat down here he's doing his KY athenic 25 yards of uh getting some leg lifts in now he's got some high knees stretching it out got to be ready always ready on Friday night let's talk uh Howe stats what he
029gave us this week once again always has a bunch of stuff and uh coming in Rox Santa 520 students I believe yes 520 students in their enrollment this year and with that they're probably one of the smaller Tok conference schools so yeah got to be real close to it series all time Columbia leads it three and and two they're two- one in kokia conference play lost last year won the pre previous two years not just lost last year we got our butt kick last year and not only did we win two years ago it was a lot of fun two years ago yeah he's going to score and then the uh one other loss was in the play or yeah one other loss was in the playoffs back in 03 14 to nothing then you
030got to go up to the 2019 game uh week 10 game played up here Columbia wins at 5628 Jared I don't know if you remember that um that was one of those games had a great feel great flow to it and all of a sudden the penalty flag started flying and we just lost feeling in it and you know it was a week 10 game who cares we won I'm not mistaken I think that was the Donovan Bieber game I think he had like three touchdowns that game and almost 200 rushing yards uh in that game against Rox Santa so um we'll see uh we got three running three uh Horsemen running backs uh this season so we'll see if we can get our run game going uh here tonight well let's tell you a
031little bit about roxa rox's 83 years of football they're in year number 84 408 wins 340 losses and 12 ties so they win 53% of the time coach Wade sorry I cannot pronounce the last name not really sure so we're not going to botch it I already botched enough names as it is he's in his six season he's 30 and 28 for a 51% win last season the shells lost in the semi-final they finished the Year 12-1 got beat in the semi-finals to Mount Carmel 63- 48 that was one of those games that who had the ball last was going to win and I think there was a a late punt return or it was a special teams play that sealed the game but then Mount Carmel went up and played somebody in the state
032championship I wish I knew who it was oh it was Byron and that was 69 to7 state championship final score so the cool stat that I love the most here and it just shows coach Germaine and the defense and everything that uh he can do last year the Eagles lost the game third 37 to nothing I'm not yeah 37 nothing after that they scored 45 or more points for 15 straight weeks getting into this season so just shows you how good Coach G can get that defense and he's going to have to have it here tonight and I can already tell you him seeing 37 on the scoreboard he was probably not happy with that either but um we'll see if we can get some points up on the board tonight and um because I
033know this season they're averaging over 40 points a game again so um they're going to be in that Wing to offense so our defense is going to have to come and be ready ready to play in the 15 weeks where 45 points or more were scored they have one week in the 30s which was us after that six weeks in the 40s eight weeks in the 50s that is just incredible this year they got beat 4755 and then they won 5726 to Red Bud and beat Civic last week 51 to2 so it's going to be a lot of fun and like you said you got three running backs back there who are going to be dominant here yeah the last three weeks they've had 345 rushing yards 326 rushing yards 286 rushing yards so like
034I said that D line and linebackers are uh might might see a little bit of a a different scheme on the defensive side of things but um we'll see what coach G's got drawn up look into the takeaways this year and giveaways it's kind of a neat stat how he keeps track of week one we had two interceptions we threw two interceptions but we also had two fumble recovery uh we had one F recovery and an interception I think or vice versa I can't remember off the top of my head week two we were even and then week three we had an interception so we're plus three on the season and that's a good stat that you want to be on the plus side of yeah and uh like I said having those three running
035backs you're never really going to have a guy in that back field that's a little tired so it's nice to have a little rotation back there um and uh see them ready to play on the time of possession week one the Eagles had the ball for 20 2 3 minutes and 3 seconds week two was very alarming 15 minutes and 29 seconds waterl just dominated time of possession and then last week Eagles had it for 22 minutes and 33 so with them running the ball as much as they do tonight Eagles are going to run the ball a bunch too so I look at how many points could be scored tonight but if they're going to keep running the football there may not be a lot either yeah and it's all going to start up
036front uh we'll see if we can get anything going uh early um I know that they're going to they're probably a little bit bigger than us but um I think we might have a little bit more speed than them so we'll see if we get on the outside edge a little bit uh maybe throw the ball a little bit tonight but like you said we're probably going to see a a lot of running rushing attack tonight the one thing that I do enjoy seeing though too they gave up 517 yards in week one 390 in week two and then last week just the dominant game against Civic Memorial 195 so you look at Jerseyville and red bud they were able to put up some yards and put up some points and if our line and
037our team plays like they can and they've done could be a lot of fun here tonight in kokia conference Play We Are 6 and a half minutes away from kickoff coaches have started making their way down on the field like we said it is blue jay night so I'm sure that's um causing a little issues you got those little guys up there we're going to try talking with Steve Bieber and Jason Stapleton at halftime when the band is done just to get them they're the President and Vice President you were a blue jay player back in the day I never was I'll ask you the same question I ask every year how cool is it to play Blue Jays and then get to come out and run on Friday night it's it's pretty awesome uh
038growing up uh being around football my whole life I mean um all you could wait for is whenever you run out that tunnel on a Friday night but um it's even better whenever you have a Saturday game and you see a couple of those high schoolers come watch you play um talk to you after the game a little bit always get you a little bit more pumped up seeing them in the crowd so um I'm sure uh the Eagles tonight will be pretty pumped up knowing that all the blue jay Community is here um watching them for our second home game of the year I think it's cool too whenever the Blue Jays they get their jerseys the high school kids go up and give them their jerseys I think this year there was about
039eight six or eight kids that did it um so it's neat for them to come out and do that as well so they're getting ready the Blue Jays are making their way down now moms are waving to the kids blue J players are coming down they're just now getting onto the track they're going to take off running and there they go they're taking off having fun getting run out on Friday night got the varsity got are coming up a little bit later so lot of excitement here going on tonight on Blue J KN cool picture I thought too Xavier vaguely was leading him out a couple years ago and now he's on varsity football so pretty neat to be a part of and now here come the varsity Eagles I'm surprised not one kid fell
040there good little run I asked Stapleton the other day I said did you ever have a kid fall he goes we did have one little guy Take a Tumble he goes and I had to run out there and try to bear hug him and get him out of Harm's Way so well whole slew of kids man they're still R kid down there too kid with a cowboy hat on start tonight for us up front what's the guy on uh is it Varsity Blues oh yeah he's got a cowboy hat on is there a character that does that yeah I can't remember his name well we're getting ready to get underway I do not know where Roxanna went I just looked over on the sideline they're not there might be in the woods everyone sneaks down
041to the Wilderness over to the far left kind of sneaks down into the creek bed these officials they're still stretching you got to be ready Alex I mean if one of them goes down tonight it's not because they didn't try to stretch it out yeah liquid IV it is hot you don't do voice stretches before the game I do oh you do on my way here I yeah what what rap song do you sing I can't say I had somebody text me last have a couple cuss words in it I had somebody text me last week they're like is his music that bad absolutely I don't even understand what they're saying you're singing along with them I need I need the close caption so I can follow along with them yeah like you said it
042is hot though out there Alex yeah my truck I guess one day the thermometer quit working it was 76 degrees so I looked down the day and well over 76 so we'll see you know the Eagles typically in years past we were the team that was always cramping up all the time and knock on wood this year hasn't been a problem so hopefully that'll be a thing here tonight and with as quick as this game could be you hope everyone's in shape looking down here at the blue crew coming down must be on haian night here tonight everyone's all decked out in what would be I think those are floaters down there floaties floaties yeah not floaters some Hawaiian shirts it's like they're all going to the L out Homecoming coming up I don't know
043who what football player asked a female to go to homecoming but I saw his mom was getting the sign out and everything getting the flowers so they were setting that up today so that'll be cool hopefully we can see what happens there who'd you go you go with a date every year or you go with friends I went with a date you went with a date yeah we'll leave it at that all right fair enough work rox's making their way out on the field now two minutes before kickoff we're going to run to a break real quick and when we come back we'll have the national anthem and first kickoff in Kia conference we'll be right back on kchs [Music] school's very own Junior RC the color guard is commanded by Cadet Lieutenant Colonel car
044compes other members of the color guard include Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Xander Noel Cadet Captain Sarah Tudor and Cadet senior master sergeant Hunter corbus ladies and gentlemen the national anthem [Music] week four football just about underway here in Columbia at the multi-purpose field Columbia's going to come out white pants blue tops and their white helmet Roxana good luck trying to figure out what numers going to be doing anything tonight red pants white jerseys yellow numbers maybe a red outline on the numbers not sure the red helmet we'll tell you though number three for the shells is going to be one of the main threats we're going to have to worry about tonight their running back is Andrew Ellis he's doing great things this year averaging 14 yards a carry and that's 29 carries for 418 yards
045seven touchdowns he's the big dog this week after that you go to Mason Crump number 20 he is going to be TW where is he at there 34 attempts 209 yard yards five touchdowns six yards average quarterback Shawn Mayberry doesn't throw it a lot 23 times he's completed 15 of those though six of them for a touchdown so can't fall asleep in that secondary back there 309 yards so he's averaging 20 yards per completion so Jared with all of that being said you got to play the game it's Eagle football time it's Eagle football time week four action first round of the Cahokia conference play all here in front of us roxan is going to set it deep Hicks and Nelson are your deep men standing at the five yeah I remember Evan Wells last
046year 21 carries for6 he glad he graduated Friday Night Lights underway in Columbia as they send it deep and it's returnable for Nelson who steps into the end zone for a Touchback might be the first Touchback we've seen this season so now we show the offensive line coming out here tonight and no different starters everybody's still staying the same as they did last week and uh you look at the offensive line though did a great job last week going to have to have them do it again tonight see what we come out in if we want to go spread most likely will looks like we got Jace Keegan and Logan Hicks lined up as those receivers with Mason doing the quarterbacking once again going to be double tight ends here going to be Janik and
047Bryant as tight ends empty backfield ball in the middle of the field starting at the 20 yd line motion man Nelson nothing going looks like they're going to show a blitz out of a safety coming closest to us see what that backside wants to do as well motion man Nelson hand off up the middle put the foot in the ground lowers the shoulder gets four good tackle there by the linebacker number six Max ottery had he not made that tackle there's a lot of green grass ahead of him I think we've opened with that play every every single week this season and I think it's been positive yards every time so they probably know what's coming but still can't stop it going be second in about six Jace last week 16 rushes 83 yards I
048think that the first game he didn't have a 100 but he still averaged five yards a carry pretty much starting right there at the same spot single receiver to the far left side it's going to be Thompson going to be a fake handoff up the middle vaguely he's got enough for a first down he's staying on his feet keeps moving four more extra Yards First and 10 after a gain of 10 and already looks like we're going to be a little bit quicker up front can't tell 51 maybe on that defensive line was a little slow getting off the ball so we'll see if we want to move towards him a little bit run the ball towards him we look at Malachi Baker over on that far side too number 61 right next to him
049big dude over there they don't have their sizes though double tight two running backs to the right side single receiver left motion man this time it's a bootleg Begley's looking at Keegan he's got him at the 45 good for another first down he's still on his feet he's got the sideline 3530 20 he's got to get going he makes the man miss 10 in zone touchdown e Eagles what a block by janic too man right on the sideline great catch by Keegan Thompson to take it the distance 66 yards for Keegan Thompson puts the Eagles on the scoreboard first looks like there might be a penalty flag back where's the flag I don't know Mason talking to the white hat right now holding on the offense look like oh that's just a dagger great play
050call too had everybody flowing to that left side of the field think they called the crack back here did they on cam they might have that would be a terrible call but because I don't know what else you would have wanted him to do because he was going to make a tackle there on Keegan and it's about where I don't know man yeah hey that's all right good play we still got five yards six yards out of it man all right so now you got to do it again first and four now for the Eagles after the penalty going to be single receivers Thompson down here against the sideline tight end left motion man Hicks fake it to him Mason keeps it he cuts back he's got enough for a first down gets to the
05148 yd line first and 10 for the Eagles great job by the o line to start off can't ask for uh anything else if you're running backer if you're Mason vaguely there clearing out open space for another first down first and 10 now it looks like we're came up to the line of scrimmage real quick earlier now looks look like we're slowing down a little bit more 10 minutes on the clock in the first quarter tight end left same formation once again motion man this time is going to be Nelson they're going to fake it going to be a vertical looking deep now they're going to have to cut back nobody's making any moves and it's going to go incomplete one thing there when you look at where your two receivers they're both down at
052the 20 yd line they're over 30 yards away and that's whenever you're scrambling there you need to see that as a receiver come back come back to your quarterback and they were kind of right next to each other running down the field I would have lik to see Keegan or Logan get towards the middle of the field make that other safety have to come over but got lucky there too with an incomplete pass arm was coming forward second and 10 going to flip the formation motion man this time is going to be Nelson to left side going to be another nope it's going to be handoff this time I thought it was a boot he's never faked out with a boot motion I like that going to be a gain of six Jay Nelson on
053the carry sorry it's gain of four bring up a third and six yeah that was was a great fake got third and about six here see if coach Warner wants to stay on the ground or put it in the air looks like cam janik's going to be that upback in front of Mason tight end left doubles to the right side pistol back Nelson Bley takes the snap hands it off not much going that time going to be a loss on the play had it sniffed out I think I'm punting man what a killer man yeah it looks like they are bringing the punt team out had everything he wanted on those first three four plays then on that one they called The Penalty on that we scored on we had everything going our way cam
054made a great block I thought on our sideline but ref thought different I like you said that's one of those plays that the kid's going to make a tackle what are you supposed to do bringing pressure off the right side low snap oh my God he tried kicking he tried kicking on the ground it's going to be picked up going to be good field position for roxan I don't think I've ever seen that it's going to be picked up there was pressure off this side closest to us it was a bad snap there's a lot going on on that play roxan is going to start with great field position they're going to be on the 42 yd line Cooper W and Logan Hicks right there the two of them doing great things linebacking crew as
055well all of them cam you throw them all out there but like I said coupe with what he does in the blitz not afraid to put his nose in there he's going to have to do it tonight as this Roxana team typically keeps it on the ground and they look like they got some big boys over there on the offensive line Looks like we still got furo minky and it looks like Lincoln Corbin if I'm not mistaken first and 10 for the shells double tight double wing single re or running back try to get him in motion I think that was Ellis in motion going to fake it to him but it's going to go up the middle gain of eight leading the way with the run that time looked to be number 20 Mason
056Crump so you got Crump is your leading rusher Ellis is going to be a wing back and they're getting on the ball quick they're going to hand it to Ellis around the edge he's going to try getting up the middle he does going to try to spin not able to the ball come out come out I didn't even see that I didn't either looks like it was recovered by the shells and it was recovered at the 24 yd line that's enough for a first down shells 750 in the first quarter looks like 14 Hayden hubard playing a little cornerback tonight all sorts of new starters for the defense this week I'll have to read them off I wasn't able to get them all in the computer and in two plays you've had your safety and
057Corner making tackles that's not a great start up the middle this time gain of five who is that on the carry 20 yeah I think 20 is going to be their tail back behind quarterback and I think that number two Ellis or three Ellis is going to be on that far side as that uh Wing back like to use a lot of motion I guess with the Run they moved Hicks and W and janic all three of them the linebackers this week hand the ball right up the middle nothing going good job good adjustment that time it'll be a gain of two because of the hard run but really a mess of players in there I would assume that's going to be Mankey as your nose they're going to give minky the The Tackle watch
058the football [Music] here now if you're roxan you're loving third and short you got two plays to get two two yards see what they do here up the middle once again going to be close might get a stop on the play they're going to Mark him a yard short good job Eagles defense like was in there again as well one of the last guys Corin all three of them in there so now you got a fourth and short [Music] six5 ball at the 15 yd line if you're Nelson you can't fall asleep out there by yourself you're probably not going to do much tonight showing Blitz is janic blue crew getting into it under Center going up the Middle with the quarterback he's going to have enough for a first down only by about a
059yard though good job there by the Eagles trying to make it tough gain of two first and 10 from the 13 yd line going to be a lot of ground and pound like we said Eagles kind of on their heels right now inside the Red Zone see if we can get a false start or something to stop their momentum single receiver split out wide toss left side Cooper's going to have to fight off his BL he's able to it's going to be brought down though by The Eagles number 14 Hayden hubard after a gain of about six so so far it's all been Crump and Ellis got to watch out for number 22 Zeb Catz Merck he's another option down here as well number four is your motion man they're going to hand it off
060he's going to stretch it out to the left side he's going to have two blockers out there he's going to get in for a roxan touchdown number four Luke Hartman on for the touchdown there gets into the end zone 524 really nothing going for the Eagles there they had everything blocked well roxan did and good stalk blocking out of your wide receiver and a good hole for the running back to get into man that touchdown kind of drained all our momentum on this side yeah the one by Keegan had to come all the way back good snap good hold kick is very good and that takes the score on the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard roxan seven Columbia zero 524 remaining in the first quarter we're going to run to a break we come back we'll show
061you the Eagles offense on kchs [Music] love you next year thanks to come quarterback club we get to watch come football live at kchs welcome back to Friday Night Lights where the Eagles Trail the shells 7 nothing an unfortunate penalty there we're thinking as we just talked that it had to be on that crackback block took away a touchdown from the Eagles but hey that show we can move the football we had a pretty good drive of unfortunate punt set up good field position for the sh so we'll see what the Eagles offense can do this time another booming punt that's going to go into the end zone for another Touchback so the Eagles are going to take over at their 20 yd line see what can get going this time we'll see if coach
062Warner wants to throw the ball if he wants to keep it on the ground had a lot of success in that first drive running the ball especially on those first three four plays that opened up that big reception to Keegan first and 10 from the 20 doubles to the left side tight end right that's not going to T be a tight end it's going to be two tackles to the left side I guess he'd still be considered a tight end on the right side is going to be Bryant sniffer back left pistol back Nelson vagle takes a snap fakes the handoff he's going to have to tuck it and run gets back to the original line of scrimmage good decision by Mason they were looking for the now route but it was covered gets a
063yard look like we yeah like you said just a quick little outout to get in our athletes hands in open space and let them make a play great job by the corner over there to run through that stock block and make it tough to Mason or for Mason to get that ball out there had to take it up the middle for only a yard Bryant came on Cooper came on or Bryant came off Cooper came on low snap again wanted another screen but wasn't able to get there so Mason's going to tuck it he's going to gain two and that was thrown off on the snap all starts with the snap Eagles will have a third down and eight right around the 4minute mark as the clock is going to keep ticking we're at 420
064right now so now you got third and long coach Warner usually not too many play calls here on Third and long but especially if you're a run heavy offense we'll see if Mason can get the ball out of his hands quick here here see if we can get a a good snap to start it trips to the right side running back right going to be a roll out to the right side they got coup cp's going to make the catch he's got to get up field he's tripped and he's going to be short short close looks like maybe it's a first down we'll see where they're going to put it it's got to be a first down it is first and 10 thanks to the catch of Cooper W somebody at Buffalo Wild Wings hit
065the button and threw the sprinkler head up coup was able to dive and get the yard to gain let us know where you're listening from once again had a lot of people letting us know last week so let us know this week into the boundary this time doubles tight end left two tackles to the right everything's going into the boundary we're going to run it into the boundary lot of room in front of him go Jace Nelson he's at the 50 where he gets tripped up it's going to be a gain of 23 first and 10 Eagles into shell territory 324 to go in the first half first quarter I think he gets faster every game he looked quick right there going through that hole Eagles right up to the line of scrimmage they're wanting
066to go quick everybody set same formation they're going to do the same thing they are it's going to be Nelson again to the right side he's at the 40 good stock black out of Keegan 30 yard line officially now to the 27 I'd run the same dang play Two Carries 40 yards I think unofficial math see when you low him to sleep with that couple runs like that those corners and safeties will kind of forget then you can sneak janick or Brian out of the back field or in that tight end position they're going to run the same play once again to the right side he's going to have to make something happen really not much going that time number 75 for the Eagles danne quivero was your lead block and wasn't really moving too
067quick kind of clogged up the hole a little bit he's going to he's your left tackle trying to get out there he's got his hands on his hip he's gas it is a warm one I'm going to say Nelson's in motion there he goes f it to him hand the ball off to Hicks underneath he's got the 2520 gets stood up at the 20 is Hicks but it brings up a third down and three little reverse counteraction I don't know what you got the official terms what do you call it I guess that's just the regular counter action I think we saw that week one at modern day Logan was able to score on it I believe and then I think we saw it last week as well down in Taylorville got third and three
068here see what coach Horner wants to do if he wants to keep it in Jay's hands try to get another first down doubles to the right side tight end the left handed off and nothing going like 71 I think that was on minky y yeah four down territory though if you're the Eagles I imagine going to be a loss of three minute 45 in the first quarter left fourth and six officially got to get it here got to get a good drive and give yourself a chance and a little confidence here two tight end or two tackles to the right tight end left fake the motion with Nelson 10 seconds on the play clock still got time Roan's moving around everywhere now like Jan out of the back field here Hicks is the motion man
069bootleg set up throw at the 20 he's got to get up field and I he's going to be close again see if they're going to give it to him we needed the 22 we'll see what the official gives it they did not get it looks like he's a yard short on that turn over on down on Eagles I think on that one I like to see cam just get up field not you don't need to make any pretty plays just get up put your put in the ground and yeah get vertical like you said official timeout looks like Mason's already little gas too with only a minute left here in this first quarter roxa getting the ball back looks like there is a Timeout on the field 107 got a lot of heat lightning all
070around us here tonight I don't think you can cancel for heat lightning right no in the way that what do they call it the globe or something like that now that's on the school that keeps track of all the weather so we would know if it gets bad enough yeah looked at the radar didn't look like anything really alarming so 107 to go here in the first quarter Eagles defense is going to have to make a stop like I said you can't fall back too far you got to try to keep this here and uh keep it a competitive game but as many points as this roxan off defense scores you really can't get down two scores in the amount of time that they just keep the ball on the ground uh I mean first
071down they're getting three four yards second down they're getting three four yards so every time they get the third down it's a third and three third and four which is uh pretty nice whenever you run that Wing T and you got a big old line so columia defense is going to have to figure it out a little bit especially up front because you don't want your safeties making most of the tackles John dob is going to be coming in as your right end quivero down in the grass as well along with musk up will probably decide he'll probably go strong side I would imagine probably got to give those big boys a little breather right now double tight double Wings single receiver to the right side of the formation motion man's going to be four
072they're going to pass it this time can't fall asleep over there and it's going to be be incomplete thanks to a drop on defense Cameron steel he was right there with him but just had enough separation that the kid was open but dropped it I don't know what number the receiver was over there I think every year we say this that uh whenever you make a jersey it should not be white and yellow yeah I think Wood River had that a season yeah I don't like that play call I'm rock Santa though I mean you're up seven nothing you've been running the ball down Columbia's throat so I think he should have kept it on the ground there try to get to the the quarter with the ball this time it's going to be end
073round with Ellis he's going to get to the 25 to the 30 first and 10 after about a 12 yard gain it's really nothing fancy it's just good blocking and good running and it's hard to stop I know Nashville back back in the day was Notorious for running this type of offense so um and you can always have extra little gadgets off of it but like you said it's pretty simple they probably only have three or four plays and then a couple add-ons off to the right side this time good lead blocking good job Eagles getting to the ball gain of three good job by the Eagles good job Hicks there to force it back in as that uh I think he's playing Corner over there as he moved he's moved into a linebacker position
074a little bit now but it's what you got to do you got to win on first and second down in these types of games force them into those third and Longs where they're not really comfortable running those type of plays 10 seconds now remaining in the first quarter they do get the playoff going to be an end round once again good job there by Hudson Bryant getting off of his blocker getting the tackle and that's going to take us to the end of the first quarter Eagles offense were able to get things moving just can't get it into the end zone they're going to be all right Eagles defense is going to have to make a stop when we start the second quarter right here on kchs [Music] nah [Music] welcome back to Columbia multi-purpose
075field here on kchs Eagles Trail this one 7 nothing as we start the second quarter they've got a third and three ahead of them need to get the fans into this one here yeah cuz I don't think you're in four down territory they're going to go up to the ball quick going to be an end round to the left side it's going to be tackled in the back field case and musk up and Cooper white gaining nothing fourth and three janic holding that shoulder again hurt that two weeks ago against watero banged it up a little bit last week looks like he's still a little banged up going to be fourth and four punt team is going to come out for roxan this is where you scream watch the football this is a bad spot
076for off sides here we blocked the punt last week we did we brought the house see if coach Kendall and coaching staff want to do the same thing here don't line up off sides either Nelson is back to return this punt motion man it is going to be a punt they get it off very good punt going to be caught by Nelson at the 25 yd line he's going to get up field get in front of his blockers gets to the 35 40 lowers his shoulder knocked out of bounds 44 good return of 19 yards setting up the Eagles there and good good spot in the middle of the field it's a flight show over there right now down to the South I don't know if waterl I don't remember if they were playing at
077home tonight or not but they're getting lit up if they are all right see if offense can get something going here Eagles offense is going to take over at the 44 yd line 1103 to go in the first half down seven nothing like I said two pretty good drives I think see if we can get in into the Promised landan here love going into the boundary here coach Horner does doubles to the left side tight end right motion man Nelson to the left he's going to use the boundary he's getting to the 45 lowers his head knocked out of Bounds at the 50 gain of six we had one of our listeners viewers whatever you want to call them just text us the holding penalty is not a very good holding penalty apparently according to
078the replay that's our next week we got to figure out how to get replay on here yeah that'd be pretty cool TJ needs one other thing that he's got to do he just sits there the rest of the time same formation this time it's going to be handoff up the Middle with over there he's got good blockers in front of him he's got a first down he's at the 40 3530 lowers his shoulder he's knocked out at the 27 yard line quick math that's going to be a 24 yd run great job by coach Horner once again running that first play on first down into the boundary and then using that wide side of the field with Hicks using his speed bringing that fake hand off to Jace to the boundary again great overall play
079by Columbia there good stalk block out of uh number one Bryant I don't know if he kicked the guy out or if he had to go out and get that corner that's way out there but whoever he got he got him good janik's going to be your sniffer back it's going to be a hand off good job setting the foot in the ground got to the original line of scrimmage don't know what happened there out of Keegan's guy but that's who made the tackle stalk blocking has got to be one of the hardest things to do in football it's hard especially if you know the ball is coming like your way and you're that one block that can make the difference it just it's difficult we're going to go same formation ball in the middle
080of the field 10 minutes to go Eagles had the ball for a minute now got a lot of yards out of that one minute doubles to the left side motion man is Keegan this time they fake it to him G it in the middle of the field now vaguely is going to have to tuck it 2520 they're going to call another one that's the same play did they call throw a flag no but Jay with another crackback block and they didn't call it there if Mason could have had that fake and just stood up and threw it now he had Logan in the middle of the field the safety bit out on the uh far wide receiver Logan got skinny up the middle he had him wide open but had to tuck it I was
081looking at the middle of the field at that and then I noticed that Mason was running so that's how quick that all had to happen first and 10 now at the 16 yd line 945 flipped the formation Nelson's the motion man and they fumbled it I think going to try to a double reverse or something Keegan came this direction looked like Mason wanted to like throw it up kind of toss it to him but Jace was looking for the handoff now you got a loss of four there and now you're kind of on your heels again you don't got a lot of play calls on second and 14 so see if we can get to a manageable third down probably in four down territory so I'd say you got three plays here try to pick
082up another first down and get it to first and goal you don't have a lot on second and 14 you have even fewer on Third and 14 going to be a pass out to the wide side it's going to be Nelson who's going to get near the original line of scrimmage third and 10 you got maybe two more plays maybe he gets knocked out of bounds for a gain of two so now you just lost a couple of those plays that you had in the book 845 third and 12 official asking to stop the clock not sure what's going on me either everybody's kind of just looking [Music] around I guess coach Warner's wanting to get a the right play and he's letting the play clock go down so it's going to be third and
08312 8:45 eagle Trail it 7 nothing we're assuming we're going to be in four down territory as we're at about the 18 yd line you only need to get about seven here you don't need all 12 on one play yeah one of the biggest plays up to this point going to be these next two plays see if coach Herer wants to go for it all or like you said just try to get six or seven yards to get you to a manageable fourth down we have listeners in Cuba Missouri again this week thanks Mom and Dad for listening every week at least we know we got one or two I guess and we have Coach owners mom in Tennessee now listening I don't think she's missed a game in all the years that we've done
084this we need to check that Illinois Nebraska score 73 Illinois aren burner all right what do you got drawn up here uh I like a little roll out to this side fake a hand off to the right use this white side of the field maybe get cuz I mean look at their safeties in Corners they're playing at the sticks so you can get Hicks on a little Arrow Route here just get him an open space I just stand up and throw it to him now on an out route man throw a slant right now or just an arrow get try to get to this pylon they're playing 10 yards off yeah fake quarterback keep to the right side good blocking good cut Mason keeps his he's at the five he's got a first down he
085was one slip up away it was that sprinkler head again got him it's going to be a first and goal from the four you would have thought they took the sprinklers out when they put Turf in but apparently not first and goal from the four Eagles offense come on 8:30 clock ticking vaguely looks like he's going to come off quarterback will be cam Janik saw this a lot last week really like how physical cam is of a runner big supporter of this play call here formation maybe wait for the play to be happening Brock s shifts over to the right side that's all right cams got nowhere to go keeps his feet moving but there was no blocking really for him at the start of that play it looked like he still tried to get
086outside there when you're inside the seven yd line try to get as vertical as you can Malachi Basset coming off vaguely takes his spot on the field not in the formation little difference there in size he running Arrow Route here he can beat him empty Back Field doubles to the left side motion man Nelson fake it quarterback up the middle lead blockers lowers his shoulder might get to the original line of scrimmage going to be third in goal from the four now 725 ACI it out there if you would run a let's just call it a fade out of Keegan to get that corner to turn his head away and you throw your arrow that you're wanting out of hicks Hicks I'll take that all day even a bubble route just catch it and get
087it out there into his hands I think Herer knows that this is a huge play right here again you don't need all four or five if you can get two or three get yourself a little little bit closer but think he's going to burn another timeout here but a pretty big play play call pretty big play here with 648 in the first half mean you got two plays to score you're inside the five got two plays to get four yards so run your bread and butter I think having Jason Mo motion here opens up a lot of things maybe putting Hicks in that back field we'll see what coach Horner wants to draw up here with 648 left in this first first half Roxanna does lead s nothing so I'm here in the huddle with
088Coach horer you know what I'm thinking what are you thinking I'm thinking that fade out of the far your call him your ex receiver get him out of the way get that corner out going Arrow out of hicks like you said even a now just got it and then his and then just let him be an athlete he runs the ball hard and he's going to take on a a pretty big defensive back I don't know yeah if Keegan can just get to this corner pylon and look Hicks is lining up way more inside closer to the lineman so we'll see if he wants to makes a shorter throw now yeah sniffer back left left is Janik motion man they're going to hand it off up the Middle with Hicks he's going to have to
089make something happen nothing going loss of one maybe to the original line of scrimmage loss of one fourth and goal from the six now roll out let your quarterback yeah let Hicks get to or no let Thompson get to the pylon somebody try to find an open void Mason can tuck it if he wants to Fourth and goal from the five 620 remaining in the first half 20 seconds on the play clock big play Here Boy the eagles look like they're just kind of lethargic right now just walking around even pistol back maybe shaded a little bit this way use the wide side of the field going to be a quarterback rolling out he's looking for janic nothing going he's going to tuck it still nothing going he's got the five yd line Mason's going
090to get Knocked Out of Bounds at the three turnover on Downs on a big drive there that the Eagles had a shot at getting some points but now rox's got to go 95 yards there's a penalty on the play see I like running that type of play on third down so then if he has to throw it away he can no loss of yards see the officials are talking to each other it is going to be on the Eagles are going to decline the penalty white hat is going to tell us something soon guess he doesn't have to if you don't want to though now this is this is a big drive though 558 left roxan does get the ball coming out what's the penalty when the official smacks his two fists together I don't
091know huh that's the penalty that's called but roxo is going to have 96 yards ahead of him now of Columbia multi-purpose field Turf I don't think it would be a targeting oh that would he would be hitting his head I think then they'd have to send it up to the booth for the official replay does he have to come off he just took his helmet off to tie his shoe that would be the dumbest rule in football but big drive here for Rox Santa they do get ball coming out if they can take a lot of clock off go 98 yards we'll call it 90 96 but also if you're the Eagles hope for a a bad snap here over the head a fumble false starts something push him back even further quarterback under Center
092turns around hands the ball off dive up the middle good for about four and Jared to your point need to snap over his head he's under Center if they snap it over his head we got a problem a bad snap all right we'll go with that gain of four hickon vaguely in on the tackle clock still ticking under 530 now here in the first half second and six quarterback going to be under Center once again guy in motion is number four he's going to fake it to him drop back to pass intercepted intercepted by vaguely Nelson and vaguely there but now I see I don't understand that play call off I'm roxa you got five minutes you've been running it all over the field against this Columbia defense and you decide to throw the ball
093stop the clock on Third and long which you're not known for having a lot of third and Longs because you're running the ball majority of the time so we'll see if they want to throw it again here on Third and seven Eagles fans getting into it here on the sideline they're going to go up the middle again a good strong push going to be short see I a yard get that you're getting four yards a carry and you decide to throw it on second and long cuz now now it's decision time if you're Rock Siena if you want to go for it here on fourth and one and not get it you're giving Columbia the ball inside the 15 yd line looks like they are going to stay on the field watch the ball watch
094the QB sneak here be a timeout looks like roxana's head coach is out of at the 15 now he's going to take a timeout roxan I think the eagles only had 10 out there 2 four 6 8 10 now there's 11 so they were only going to have 10 out there I think muscot came on a little late and you got to pump the ball here cuz then you're I mean I man their offense is good they they can get one yard right yeah that's what you're that's I'm going to play Devil's Advocate I'm the offensive guy I can get one yard and if I'm coach your man I'm saying all right go ahead go for it I'm going to bring the juice here right over the center CU most likely you're going to have
095motion that turns into the tush push what we like to call it which is banned now right uh somewhat it's one of those gray rules yeah like it's still legal but there's like a couple things that go into it to where they don't allow but that's every year they change the rules up big play here though 442 left fourth in short see if Rox Santa decides to bring that offense back out and go for it inside their own 15 yd line looks like they are going to punt it now watch out for the fake pter going to be standing right at the goal line come on get your bad snap yeah see this B this is where it's over his head watch the football here here come on Fourth and short punt team is on
096Nelson going to be receiving this punt Hudson Bryan almost gets in that back field it's going to be fair caught and Dro by Nelson scrambling for it on the fumble looks like Columbia is going to retain possession scary moment there he had it all along oh boy hey good field position for the Eagles offense 45 46 yd line with 430 left too so you got some time on your side here if you want to punch one in tie this game up head in the overtime overtime head in the halftime 77 hey we'll have overtime later it'll be fun you'll be crawling underneath this table CU you can't watch I do that every game you don't even have to crawl you'll walk under it wow oh another low blow oh two weeks in a row gosh
097I didn't really need to stop with those all right Chick-fil-A catch up man motion man Nelson fake it up the middle this time I believe that's Janet nope that's going to be Hicks gain of two I like the motion though out to the outside go up the middle gain of two second and eight 415 in the first half trying to get the fans going here good crowd once again for the Eagles going down the sideline roxan packed their side too have a couple of roxan fans over on this side beautiful night for football running back left and a pistol back they're going to Fumble the handoff picked up and loss of six maybe seven brings up a third and a lot like I said the offensive line this week just looks a little slow mhm
098and how many snaps has that been now between snaps and fumbled handoffs a lot of mistakes here but that's all right we're only down 7330 third and 15 now if you're a coach Warner you got to try to let a little time off if you're not going to be able to get anything going yeah boy if you're going to let your Defender be this far off of Nelson over here just throw it to him now let him make Corner's going to burn his final timeout I mean there's nobody within 10 yards of him unless it's number 63 which based on size I think Jace is going to outrun him we're going to go to a commercial break real quick as this halftime approaches pretty big play Third and 14 307 we'll be back right after
099this he [Music] welcome back to kchs broadcast brought to by the Columbia quarterback Club third down 15 ball at the Eagles 49 yd line 307 they Trail this game 7 nothing been able to get some things going and then some unfortunate penalty and a fumbled snap there motion man Nelson going to be pistol back this time motion again they fake it to him looking for a screen pass going to be caught by janic but hit right away going to be even loss of more timeout roxan clock keeps moving it's still ticking they're going to have to add some more time they're probably going to add 10 seconds to the clock I bet close to it yeah that play did not work had Jace line up as a receiver send him in motion to that pistol
100back and then sent them in motion again to that right side then come back to the left side on the screen pass to janic and got blown up pretty quick be fourth and long most likely punt it here try to pin roxan deep with under 244 left now probably going to add some more time like Alex said so now you have to have a good punt yep you have to have to have to 255 so they had what 11 seconds back on good math I couldn't remember if it was 44 or 43 I just said it fourth in Forever for the Eagles Mason vagley doing the punting can't see what number is returning he's standing about the 17 yd line Mason good snap this time a low punt that's all right it's going to roll
101this time and it's going to be returned at the 15 number 42 down there for the Eagles misses the tackle a stiff arm and could have had him at the 22 instead it's going to be out of Bounds at the 39 yards and when you look at the teams right team right now like everybody's walking off the field walking back onto the field look like we're out of it but it's only seven nothing and you've been inside five yard line a couple times so do we know the timeout situation they might have one left going to be a hand off to the left side going to be a gain of a couple do we just have 12 on the field there no he came off he was close roxan getting on the ball quick after
102that gain of five counter coming at us good job there staying home L Hicks and Thompson great job third and three two 15 and counting in the first half ball at the 46 and A4 yard line don't fall asleep over here if you're Jace either there's hand off to number three Ellis he cuts upfield jumps over a guy and he's punished there by Keegan Thompson first down though look like their wing Mech went in motion and then the lineman stap snapped down I think that'd be two guys in motion but maybe not they're going to run the same play it's going to be a play action this time quarterback's looking deep he's got a man over here and it's going to be caught stiff arm off stepped thr the flag touchdown shells got him on
103a double move he heisted up for the last seven yards though that should have been a penalty kale Hester for the touchdown there eagles still got minute 42 we can still try to salvage a little bit here you're going to have 80 yards it's been two touchbacks out of the kicker kids in the band need to look out they might get this P off the dome right into the tuba that takes the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard with a minute 42 in the first half Roxana 14 Eagles zero that's a pretty big play right there and could be a good big dagger but like I said we still got a shot on offense see what happens coach stump we were talking before the game and he said the one thing you got to do and the one
104thing that we're going to look out for is one of the corners falling asleep and I'm not saying he fell asleep Jace was right there but just a step off it's good Ball by that quarterback can't take that away from him either put it right on the money and it looked like Jace was like you said step or two behind him kind of face guarding him didn't really get to see the ball whenever it was put in the air wide receiver a able to pluck it and walk into the end zone High Step Into The End Zone who' we say had that touchdown um kale Hester K Hester yep number 11 he's had eight receptions 178 yards three touchdowns averaging 22 yards a catch one plays just like that that's what that's what they're known
105for when they run the ball so much low your corners and safeties to sleep a little bit that's what happened right there Jace was coming up playing the run a little bit wide receiver slipped out touchdown shells 142 left here in the first half see if we can get something going right before halftime this one might be returnable if it gets out of bounds even better we'll take it last week it took four kickoffs before we finally accepted the penalty I think if you're coach Warner though you got to take it on this first one it's going to be at the 35 ydd line and as much as that dude's booted it tonight yep you don't want to risk another Touchback there and lose 15 yards basically Eagles will have minute 42 down 14 nothing
106been able to move it all night I like that problem is you can move it all you want if you don't score you don't win that's how this game works it is yeah you have to have more points points than the other team yeah the kids in baseball love when I say we need some points trips to the left side I like it doing something a little different here Here Comes Your roll out this way running backs to the right side I believe that's going to be janic he's gonna stay in the pocket and they're gonna throw it to him to the right side he gets up field he Ducks it down gain of eight got to have a play call ready to go second and two from the 43 I don't think I've ever
107seen Mason throw a little check down Route he didn't even look for the far routes though come on you got to go minute 20 good eight eight yard gain there yeah like you said 120 left need to get something going this time there's that bubble to Cooper good stalk block 45 50 45 again to the 40 he's going to be out of bounds good gain there for the Eagles about an 18 19 yd reception first and 10 that's what I kind of wanted whenever we were inside the 10 yard line just get it out in your playmaker's hands and let them make a play especially whenever they were playing five six yards off the receiver a little momentum here 109 left this time look how many defensive backs Rock SI has right now they only
108have three down linemen and they're moving around at all times two linemen now nobody on this left side run it to the left just running ISO left yeah ISO left good job Mason good call 30 yd line Cuts up field 25 yd line don't think you have to spike it first and 10 ref took a tumble there hopefully he's all right hey as much as they were stretching earlier he should be good 101 at the 25 yd line Looks like Mason just set his own ball serving for the ref who took a tumble there under 60 seconds now trips to the left side running back janic left you got to go quick come on there too much time timeout Roxana I think that's a good timeout they're gas they don't know what's going on I
109like that there yeah and on that play they had not even a lineman in a three-point stance he had two lineman on the right side but absolutely nobody on the left side of the line Mason just caught it and went going to be 49 seconds remaining in the first half eagles need a score here 14 nothing Shell's lead still feels a little warm out here a little warm is right first and 10 for the Eagles now when they come out see if roxa has things figured out on the defensive side of things now we'll see what coach Horner wants to draw up here I think we one time out you think we have left I Ro should be out I think we have one we took two on that one drive where we got stopped
110at the four yeah we've been on this side of things this whole first half just can't get any points out of it would really love to make this a one possession game under 50 seconds now trips the left side ball on the right hash motion man low snap fake it vagle is going to have to step up now he gets to the original line of scribbage now the problem is you got a guy 30 yards away from you you got to go trips to the right side now it looks like they're calling for 35 seconds this is going to end I think in the first half is going to be a Hail Mary to the end zone hopefully not hopefully we get in first trips to the right side running back right 20 seconds a
111lot of time off that time middle of the field janic incomplete great play on the defensive side that was your second and 10 play so now you'll have third and 10 16 seconds and it falls incomplete stops the clock that's great give you guys a chance to catch your breath 16 seconds now you're thinking about they're going to be guarding those Sidelines trying to tackle you in bounds third and 10 trips to the right side rolling to the right side good job sealing The Edge vaguely throws it kind of just Chucks it it's under thrown Falls incomplete fourth and 10 11 seconds to go I think they were wanting a different play call there looked like two guys were running in the same area somebody without calling what the play was ran the wrong route
112that play hasn't changed since 2007 so here you're probably just going to throw it up in the end zone I don't know you can still get a first down and if you can get out of bounds going be in this empty set only three linemen for Roxanna going to be verts down the middle vagle is going to have to scramble gets it out going to be caught by Nelson at the 10 he's got the five and he gets knocked out of bounds do we have any timeouts we got two seconds you got to Clock IT the ball stops that's awesome that it got thrown away that's okay gets us up to the line of scrimmage got to get set get set get set get set clock starts and it's going to run out of time
113runs out of time you had everything that you wanted right there I know if you're Nelson you catch that on 15 yd line and you think time's going to run out but you got to know how much time when you catch that ball you got to know get out of bounds as quick as you can he got the first down and tried get into that end zone but comes up a little short we're going to head to halftime and when we come back we'll have the Columbia Eagles marching band Eagles Trail this one 14 nothing going into halftime [Music] he n [Music] oh [Music] n [Music] let [Music] you [Music] I e e e Z e e e love Nick here thanks to call quarterback club we get to watch K football live at kchs
114welcome back everybody to kchs where the Eagles and the Roxana shells are in a good one here currently the shells are leading 14 nothing and we'll talk a little bit on our thoughts of how that first half went two minutes ago before they add the additional three minutes on the play clock for everyone to warm up Alex schlimmer here for halftime and I am joined with Jason Stapleton the vice president of the Blue Jay organization as it is blue jay night tonight Jason thanks for joining us it is man it's a great night thanks for having us is this your favorite night of the year you know it know it your anniversary is your favorite night and this is second well just don't tell my wife okay I won't she's probably watching I bet you
115she's watching so Jason thanks for joining us up here tonight uh it's a fun night for you guys we had everyone coming out running out onto the field tonight there was a whole slew of them nobody took a tumble we saw talked about how you yeah I watched I watched it yeah so let's talk a little bit about the Blue Jays as an organization to start how many teams do you have this year how many uh players do you have all that kind of jumbo well it's a uh it's a great year for the Blue Jays we uh we have four divisions we have freshman sophomore JV and varsity and uh this year we're a little stacked on the older uh Edge we got uh two varsity teams and two J a team so about
116130 kids and uh six teams it's a great year so is that probably one of your biggest years that you've had it is uh in a while yeah we we've had we've had this many teams before um but uh this is this is uh making a stretch out a little bit with as many kids as we have and the good thing is is you have the room and the ability to to be able to stretch out we'll talk a little bit that about that here in the future but blue jay night let's talk about that in the kids perspective if you can uh how cool is it to see them come out and how much do they love doing it it's awesome man I mean when you before we even hand out the game jerseys
117and do our old and pepperi night these kids are already asking hey when what night do we get to practice at the at the high school field when is blue Jan I when am I going to get get to run out with the uh with the big kids right and uh you know they they look forward to it they love it the Blue Jays really appreciate it uh we want to give our thanks obviously to the school board and to coach Herer for including us in this night and uh you know obviously a lot of those those high school players that are out there right now came through organization and when you see the little guys look at those big boys and their eyes just light up and and uh they want to carry on
118that tradition and that's why we love tonight and we talked about one of the pictures that we have of the little guys running out years ago Xavier vagley he's leading away he's now a freshman and then a couple other kids that are in that picture are still playing football today officially unofficial I think there's 22 guys on the varsity roster that played at one point with the blue J or organization and like we've talked already Jared up here was a blue J player you're a blue J coach now or are you just VP uh uh coached for many years I actually uh stepped down uh I started the year and uh coached all the way through August and decided that we had so much help at the varsity level that I wanted to focus on
119the uh the organizational part of it so I stepped down but been coaching for many years uh trying to make sure that uh that everything's ran properly and that the organization's in good hands but yeah we're doing great so one of the big things that happened this year you have a new announcers Booth with some extra storage that you needed tell me about that and how that project got started and how it is to where it is today so we've had this building fund for many years now and uh they actually started it before I came back which I've been back with the organization for about six years now and uh you know we've been growing it slowly and surely all these years and uh you know this year we decided hey we're going to
120we're going to reach out we're going to reach out to sponsors we're going to reach out to the city and and and and take them a plan it wasn't a concept it wasn't hey this is what we're thinking about doing we already have this in place we just we just need some funding right so uh we reached out to the uh to the city and want to give thanks to the to the city council and and Mayor Bob Hill uh Doug brim Mike sander uh for everything they did for us to get that building going this year and then of course I I don't have time to you don't have time to list all of our sponsors but the order Foundation really stepped up for us and uh and helped us out big time because
121that building would not be standing today ready for football tomorrow uh without their uh support and you've already had a couple home games you got six home games this weekend three on Saturday three on Sunday I saw Ralph up there he was painting lines today had it all mowed and everything yeah so let's talk we're not going to name the sponsors in the fundraising but how do you how we'll talk fundraising how do you do it uh you have your blue J meet shoot uh that is always in November this year it's going to be at the legion once again so tell me about your fundraising and how you got things where they are today so one of one of the biggest ones we have is our meat shoot or is our meat shoot and
122we do that in usually the Saturday after Thanksgiving we moved it up this year uh we're getting low on time here brother oh you're good we keep going we can go into the third quarter but uh you know we also have our our beef raffle in the begin beginning of the year our meet raffle um you know uh every kid sells tickets and and that's a big one and then obviously Columbia days where I'm slinging 900 hamburgers meat Burgers Holton man got to have them got to love Holton so now if somebody wants to get involved and wants to be part of it let's say you know contact sport it's a lot of head injuries and all that you guys are all heads up all your coaches are heads up certified yes we are and
123so all the equipment and everything it's all funded the parent doesn't have to bring anything forward correct no no we uh it's it's not uh it's not travel ball it's not uh we're where you're buying your kid that $300 bat every year uh playing uh select baseball paying all those big fees uh we pride ourselves on keeping cost low and we do that through sponsorship and through all of our um all of our fundraising so when your kid comes out low cost might cost you hundred and something dollars and uh but you don't have to buy him a single thing to keep him protected and we are heads up certified all of our coaches are out there the parent ever has any question about uh safety uh any one of our coaches can answer those
124questions I believe the website was up on the slide a little or the screen a little bit earlier um so I believe that's Columbia or no it's Blue Jays football blue jay foot.org yeah and then you can go to Facebook look up the Columbia Blue Jays uh football I believe too and you can get everything on there we're getting ready to start the third quarter here it's going to be number five Mason Cunningham doing the kicking H Columbia needs a big stop here on this first series going to bounce at the 24 pick up at the 20 good job there by Logan Hicks getting there but misses the tackle got the outside and it's going to be a big return for Roxana we're going to see if we can make a tackle and we do
125at the 25 yd line believe that's going to be number 42 Ricky Prader makes a tackle and boy if that's what you didn't need that's it right there Jason anything else you want to talk about about Blue Jays real quick well I I just want to say that uh we have a great organization uh we're very healthy uh we're very safe um if if you want to have your kid come out um please bring him out reach out to us if you have any questions reach out to the board uh we're there to do everything and we just really again just appreciate uh the Columbia school board and Coach Scott Herer for allowing us to do this and I really appreciate uh you guys and uh kchs for allowing us the opportunity to get the
126word out man well it all starts with the little guys and gets them up to where they are today going to be a quarterback sneak right up the middle gain of two and Jason one thing that we donated to as a quarterback Club you guys needed some new lights we did you used to go up to the legion and practice Under The Lights now you can't do that you guys have all uh mobile light stands that you can move around and quarterback Club as a quarterback gets under Center real quick going to be a handoff right up the middle nothing going good job by the big uglies maybe a gain of one if that big number 73 for the Eagles leading the way Lincoln Corbin yeah I I I think one of the things that
127we uh we pride ourselves on are trying to be self-sufficient so we wanted to make sure that we had everything we did uh run to the left side nothing going once again good job there by the Eagles defense now you need to get a stop let's talk football real quick all right fourth and four what are you going to do you bring in gono I'm uh I'm I'm going to stay status quo here I'm going to pinch those big boys in make sure we're a pound and SE Gap here and uh keeping them from bellying us here I don't I hard count there didn't work quarterback back under Center motion man three Ellis handed off to him on the outside good blocking out there and it's going to be enough for a first down into
128the end zone maybe short knocked out of Bounds at the three had a chance at getting them behind the line of scrimmage but instead a gain of about 15 man Alex I'm GNA have to get Jared back in here I feel like I'm uh I'm some bad luck here on this first drive we needed a huge stop here under Center motion man give it to him right side stretch play to the outside nice T stood up and tackled big hit there Logan Hicks yeah so yeah so uh we we did we we got lights and they're they're going to keep hurrying us up here but uh yeah we we got lights and and we're self-sufficient as an organization I think the city loves it we love it as an organization and uh you know we
129we don't ask for much we really don't as an organization we try to we try to take care of everything ourselves and and uh that's why we have those fun rers and the amazing sponsors I mean and and our sponsors cross over right so they they're they're out here sponsoring uh Columbia Eagle football they're sponsoring a lot of whoa that was a nice uh little streak of lightning there hopefully that's far away but uh about 20 miles away I think good good uh but uh yeah we want to uh we we want to make sure that uh that our organization is self-sufficient and that uh we're taking care of everything that we need to take care of on our end and and it makes things a lot easier well thanks again for joining us us
130up here on kchs Blue J night always a fun night it's awesome man now we need to get an eagles Victory here we need to start with a stop got to get the ball moving we're moving the ball all night we just we talked a little bit a lot of the guys up here in the Press Box I could see a 2814 game if we could just catch one break and one play and have a couple things go our way but in the end uh it doesn't matter what it should be I think that early keeg and Thompson touch on that was called back kind of took the the wind out of the sails a little bit there early and uh had us on our heels and they started bellying us up the Middle with
131the big old boy so uh we get that under control I I think we can get back in this but we need a huge stop right here quarterback's going to go under Center I believe number four was the injured shell looked like he was just lost his air moce man they're going to go up the middle though going to be spun out good tackle good job there number 73 Lincoln Corbin getting in the field first might have been Coupe and Mason cleaning it up Jason thanks for joining us up here tonight Alex thank you appreciate kchs for having us tonight no problem thank you we're going to bring Jared back in third down and four motion man again quarterback's going to keep it this time good defense now we're going to have to make a
132tackle on the scrambling quarterback a bunch of high hits nothing going though now we're going for the football good job swarming to the ball Eagles defense fourth and goal now like fur was slow to get up on that play going to limp off looks like muscot came in for him fourth and goal from the three big play here coach germain's jumping up and down about something on that sideline is going to try to get to the outside Hicks is over there with them did he reach for the pylon he did not short turn over on Downs that's the stop you needed looks like he reached for that pylon but Hicks was there quick enough to knock him out of bounds and that right there is a huge play cuz they score go up three scores
133but now you're even in a little dilemma here you got to go 99 yards which our offense has been able to put together some good drives tonight just haven't been able to punch any in the end zone janic is going to be a running back quarterback is vaguely comes off 857 when the Eagles are going to take over at their n or at their one foot line Janik takes a snap runs to the right side he's got enough for close to a first down on the first play of the first second half now Malachi comes off Mason is going to come on after he talks to coach hner down here gain of 11 first and 10 got a little Breathing Room 830 left in the third quarter see if the Eagles can get something going
134here and try to get some points up on the board big stop on the first drive motion man Hicks hand off no yes it is off to the right side Off to the Races 2530 3540 getting brought down at the 30 44 yd line big run of 33 yards Logan [Music] Hicks that's all we've kind of done tonight just get our athletes in open space and there Logan good enough to get to that outside edge cut it up field was faster than a couple of those linebackers took a safety in a corner to bring him down good run Logan Hicks now we got to get some momentum boys Double's left side handoff Nelson outside Miss stalk block out of Coupe he fumbled he fumbled was he down and you could I could hear coach stump
135over here right next to us throw it the Keegan now cuz their corner is playing seven yards off this outside receiver and Keegan Thompson I don't know why we haven't thrown an hour out all night our athletes are going to beat them throw it now throw a slant throw a bubble we've been doing it all season long with our stock blocking and just getting it out there in open space we'll see if coach Warner wants to use this side of the field into the bound like he like he loves to do doubles the left side motion man Hicks fake the hand off vaguely keeps it good read good blocking good job making a cut puts his foot in the ground steps up field he's on the shell side of the field penalty flag it's going
136to be a late hit out of bounds hopefully I think vagle was out of bounds and he got an extra shove hopefully there's no talking going on initial indications that it's going to be a first down Eagles looked a little soft if say so myself on the push there but we'll take anything we can get Mason's got to learn to flop a little bit is going to be a personal foul on the shells so another 15 yards I believe and to get the ball all the way up to the 30 yd line on that right hash see if coach Horner wants to use this wide side of the field again or if he wants to go into that boundary six 48 now in the third quarter looks like janik's going to be the running back
137to vy's right oh man a lot of movement that's the play that kills the drive right there potentially hopefully not F I think it's been five plays since we've been on our own one yard line and we're already down here in their territory you can't have that right there yep you cannot loss of five there first and 15 on the false start throw a now R yep you have seven yards three guys over here with two Defenders we're going to throw the bubble is all night long Cooper He's going to read his blockers he's going to get back to almost the original line of scrimmage four yards though I'll take that all day long second and 11 is Cooper a fast runner right away or is he quick he's he's quick not fast doubles to
138the right side single receiver to the left empty backfield motion man Hicks hand the ball off got to stretch it out wide bad block out of stalk blockers going to be a loss of three third and 14 get seven yards here you don't need all again Cooper comes on Bryant comes off 540 left in this third quarter go trips left into the boundary lineman shifts over late running back right vaguely looking to the right looks to the middle of the field he's got a in there they're going to be incomplete now what do you do if you're the Eagles do you try to pin them I think you're oh man I think I give them a long field it's a tough decision to make here but you don't have very many fourth and 14 plays
139looks like offense is going to stay out on the field going to flip the formation put Jace single receiver on this side with trips to the right this time the corner steps up trips their right side running back right roll out right vagle sets his feet now he's going to have to throw it he does it's caught by Cooper it's enough for a first down at the 20 yard line gets knocked down at the 18 but that's okay gain of 16 penalty flag at the 36 yard line he was fast enough just fast enough had two open receivers on that sideline too looked like CPE ran a little Arrow Route and then you had the sideline hitch out of the outside receiver still see trying to see what this flag is going to be not
140be a holding penalty that's around the area hopefully you can say they might have had a hit on the quarterback up high could be a roughing the passer that's what I'm going to Hope Columbia is walking up towards the ball foul roughing the passer defense going to take it first and 10 Eagles 512l going to bring up a first and goal now at the nine we've been here all night long just haven't been able to get in the end zone so we'll see if coach Horner had a couple adjustments at halftime on that o line front or if he wants to just get it out here in Logan Hicks hands right now throw a bubble route have him get to that pylon doubles to the left side tight end right pistol back about eight yards
141deep he's behind vaguely I'm assume that's Nelson they're going to run the bubble throw the bubble what do you think the halftime talk was like at halftime what were the adjustments um think it was a one-sided conversation yeah I would say so now that's going to be the loss of five on the play second and 14 444 on the clock like you said the bubble is there again and Hicks looked to the sideline right after that play kind of got blown up but I mean if you have one-on-one with the the corner and the other receiver doing the stock blocking and then it's one-on-one with Logan and linebacker safety and I'll take that all day empty backfield Hicks motion man bootleg to the right side he's going to throw it to Chase and it's going
142to go incomplete third down and 14 Jace was there threw it a little High Falls incomplete 420 and on that play people forgot about Logan Hicks out of the backfield on the fake handoff he was wide open on this side as well Mason would have just had to throw in a little 15 yard pass through the air but wanted to take a shot down the middle of the field again third down again 14 yards don't need them all around one play trips to the left side into the wide side of the field a lot of open room in front of them run bubble here with Jace to this left side they're going to move and it's a false start now out of her left tackle send him in motion but scoot it back a little
143bit more Owen Mankey the left tackle jump there oh they called delay game that's all right we'll take that sorry Owen put a penalty on you Mason you got to watch play clock so third and 19 now going to go same formation janik's going to be on the left side now he's going to go to the right side you're going to go Blitz from the left vaguely middle of the field dropped Hicks tried running before he caught it again you had Coupe over here a little wideside by himself and they well they kind of the linebacker kind of blitzed there kind of took Cooper away on that play but I mean great job by Hicks to run that snag route just not able to haul it in he was in the right spot probably would
144have got to around the 10 yard line and you'd have fourth and 10 shot to the endzone but now you're going to have about fourth and 19 I don't know if you think about kicking it with Keegan here don't know how much of a big leg he's got but see what coach Horner decides to do most likely we'll keep his offense on the field see if you look at what happens when we put our running back to the right side they shift their linebackers to the left and they're coming off that off the weak side do you like if you do that you know where they're blitzing from do you like knowing where they're blitzing from or do you put them in a pistol back then you let the defense make up your their mind
145and then that makes up your mind as well yeah I mean kind of depends where 22 is to be honest with you if they have him in motion they're most likely knowing it's he's going to have the ball or uh Mason's going to pull it and do it with his own leg so we'll see uh who we have in the back field here or if coach Horner wants to go empty set and make them have more def defensive backs on the field 416 on the game clock fory Cory Pharmacy scoreboard reads 14 nothing shells huge Drive huge play for the Eagles especially after getting that big stop on the one yard line Hicks able to push him out of bounds to keep this at a two-possession game and then to drive almost 99 yards until
146we had a couple of penalties to push his back we're going to talk to Brenan W Who's down on the field after this drive trips to the left side running back right roxan bringing the house vaguely middle of the field throws it behind Cooper Falls incomplete so again you got to another good drive out of your offense keep stalling out like you said those drives dve Killers couple penalties that push you back after you get a couple first downs it does some damage for your offense and now roxa going to come back out with 412 left in the third quarter with 14 nothing lead see if our defense can get another stop here and give our offense a chance to get some points on the board going to be four down lineman for the Eagles
147motion man three fake it to him up the middle they go not too much going on he slips out of a couple tackles though and it's going to be good for about a 25 still on his feet goes out of Bounds at the 46 gain of about 27 though 18 steel comes on the field as hover comes off holding onto his arm quarterback up the middle middle gain of three not much more roxan is yelling wanting to get up to the ball again right away ball at the 49 yd line 340 in the third quarter left ball start left guard he's pulling early we're going to send it down to the field with Brennan white at about the 40 yard line Brennan down there on the field what's the feel like with a night that
148Eagles have had a chance but just can't get into the end zone well um it's uh it seems to be quiet down here I mean I think we need a we need a boost of energy something to pump us all up um it's uh tight game I mean we just need we need some energy we need to get alive we need to feel some I mean you got H here uh injured on the with the trainer we we need some life we need we need to get back in this we need play action double move down the end zone it's going to be Jace on the play and it's going to be incomplete good defense there and that might be the play that you need right there great defense D that so the offensively they're
149moving the ball Columbia's moving the ball like crazy tonight how can we get into the end zone here we got to do it at least twice and how can we do that tonight um we just got to we got to rely on our guys we got to we got to push we got to we have to use our top dogs here get Jas Nelson with those two big plays 30 yard run and 20 yard you got Thompson with that6 I mean we just need to use our players jump it good pick picked off Mason vagley picked off Mason vagley Eagles are going to take over and he need I mean you need to do plays like that hey you get play like that it'll work all right thanks brenon we might call you whenever this
150game gets into overtime we'll call you when you're on the field awesome all right thanks brenon good play there Mason vagle that was one hand too Alex was it yeah Mason's that thing Mason's going to take over with the offense now with the 44 yd line maybe that's the little boost we can get here and our defense has been playing good all night one big play that they scored on on that pass and that's pretty much the only big play we've given up we just can't score you need points 303 for the Eagles in the third quarter left trips to the right side motion man Jace lets him get across the field vaguely is going to throw it turns into a Blitzer turns into his own man it's going to be sack loss of nine
151it's not good whenever you run into your offensive lineman nine yard deep and Mason kind of just scrambling around there trying to find any open space just to get rid of the ball looked like he had Nelson but too many defenders in his face not able to get the ball out sack loss of six we'll call that seven actually and go empty now sniffer back left tight end right single receiver right doubles to the left side closest to us motion man Nelson quarterback keep to the right side gain of about three brings up a third and 13 now 210 on the game clock it's big play here I don't think you try to get it all like you said earlier we've been in these third and Longs all night but here I don't think you're
152in four down territory so big play coming up 50 and Ticking in the third quarter eagles need to get something going here before this fourth quarter starts 140 trips to the left side we got too many guys on the field play clock at four trips to left side vagle is looking left now he's looking in the middle of the field and it's going to be incomplete CP kind of stopped running tried setting up and vaguely thought he was going to run deep I was about to say whenever Coupe ran onto the field I didn't see anybody come off coach Warner calling for punt minute 25 that's the first bad Drive I think yeah out of the Eagles after getting a big interception by vagle defense keeping us in the game with a couple key stops
153but offense just can't really get anything going look how far back the returner is Begley gets a pun off bounces at the 36 checks up a little bit pick it up and the Eagles are going to pick it up at the 33 see how quick the officials want to flip the field here the Eagles just look kind of Gass yeah we got to get something going you like you said you got that pick you got that turnover you needed and it just nothing came from it thanks once again to our sponsors for tonight and every week we appreciate it thanks to the Columbia quarterback club for making this happen electrod door for tonight's pregame meal that came from Tequilas we need a Speedy Gonzalez here or something happen there you go Blue J Knight pretty
154good crowd for both home and away need an inch a lot of touch touch Downs oh I like it hand off to the left side big hit there by Thompson and vaguely keeps the clock rolling though boy Lincoln Corbin was just driven about 12 yards yep can't have that happen looks like another shaking up shell got Shell Shocked on that sideline over there trainer came out right away we're going to go to a commercial break with the injured shell 1 minute exactly to go in this week four KI Conference matchup [Music] a [Music] you're watching Columbia football live presented by kchs thanks to the Columbia quarterback [Music] Club welcome back back the injured shell was over on their sideline and as soon as they picked him up he was off the field second and five
155quarterback handoff running right at us good job Logan Hicks containing the edge but a gain of five or six going to be enough for a first down 50 seconds in the third quarter looked like 57 there John do was able to get in that back field just not quick enough to get to that running back 30 seconds remaining in this third quarter and off up the middle nowhere nothing to go Cooper W back there making the tackle along with number 18 Cameron steel could take us to the quarter only 20 seconds to go big play there like I said in the pregame if you can win on first and second down you're always giving yourself a chance win there on first down now you got to Win Second down roxan is going to get one
156more playoff up the middle nothing going again gain of one that's going to bring up a third and 12 when we come back for the fourth quarter of this kahok conference matchup your Eagles are trailing 14 to nothing on KCs [Music] a [Music] welcome back to kchs fourth quarter action Eagles Trail at 14 nothing don't forget next week we have another home game it will be against freeberg always a big game sons of the American Legion will be paying for all retired and military personnel to get in so look for the pass gate on the right side of the main entrance and that's where you will be able to tell whoever is writing down names there and the sons of the American Legion will be paying for it because it is Military Appreciation Night Columbia
157a quarterback Club will have a tailgate starting around 4:30 with all of the parents in the perch no they call that the nest over there or is that the perch it's the perch over there in the parking lot third and 12 12 minutes to go in the game Big third down here scoop and score pick six anything a stop we need it pass play double move Jason is there musk up forcing the quarterback Nelson's over there nothing going and it's going to be Pi push off on them that's going to be on on them I think I don't know if Jace actually ever turned around though that might be a problem too I think that's two guys that are he pushed off Jace didn't turn around I think it could go either way I think
158you're you're able to face guard as long as you're not making contact Jace might have made a little bit of contact there but looked like the receiver threw him out of the way to try to get to the ball and it looks like it is going to be against the Eagles wow be a 15 yard penalty automatic first down that's two weeks in a row a bad ball has caused a huge pass interference and again third and 12 you get a stop to get off the field but you can't get off the field because of a penalty first and 10 from the 44 yd line and if roxan is smart if I was in there she was I'm running this clock down as much as I can they've been getting three four yards a carry
159don't even think about throwing the ball here Force Columbia to get another stop and try to get some points end round good job Cooper white catching on to the outside good job Mason musk up and Bryant to make a good tackle gain of two so you one first down there second and nine clock still ticking one 1120 left in this game same play once again this time they go out wider this time get them out of bounds there's going to be a penalty flag on the play okay ball went out of bounds should be on 64 I don't know hold either a hold or like a chop block went kind of low on Coupe is going to be a hold against the shells also watch the replay from the what we thought was a holding
160I think they call block in the back yeah in close very close first drive of the ball game left motion man this time it's a bootleg bigley's looking at Keegan he's got him at the 45 good for another first down he's still on his feet he's got the sideline 3530 and I mean if you're cam janic there I mean you're not just going to let that guy tackle your guy right so I mean great heads up play by cam I mean at least make some contact there but I guess it was too much contact for them to throw the penalty flag second and long good job case musk up getting to the Back Field good job by the rest of the Eagles getting into the back field and it's going to be a loss on
161the play Third and even longer and this is when you need the Bluer everybody's sitting down now I've never seen a student section where everyone's sitting you probably got your 15 seniors up there in the front everybody else yeah they're trying to get him up sitting down this is a big third down here third in a country mile I hope they throw it here and it goes incomplete or pick I'll take that too I just want the clock to stop now the blue crew is getting up third down and 21 fans getting into it here Eagles bringing Blitz it's going to fall out it's going to be an Eagle football no no it there was two Eagles back there that's the break you needed oh and it's recovered by roxan G to be another big
162lost man oh man Bryant was right there looked like Bryant and might have been one of the linemen I couldn't tell which one but jumped on and the ball kind of just slipped out of their grasp here's my question the clock stopped right now we're at home so I'm not going to say anything it's happened to us I mean it is not moving at all like I don't know why it stopped at all there's been 30 SEC oh now it's started game delay of game delay of game thank you delay game Roxana that's going to be another 5 yard penalty so now they're going to have the ball at the 35 yd line they need to get to the other 35 here's a question you try to block it like we did last week right
163here we need something that's not even a question you got I think I think you got to bring the juice juice here and and watch them run a fake get a little bit of momentum getting this ball back or we'll see if they want to kick it the Jace if he make something happen fourth and 31 good snap bring the pressure it's going to fall and it's going to give a great Roxana bounce to the 34 yd line with 939 on the game clock we had everybody there just didn't make contact with it but on a side note good job not touching the punter is that an automatic yeah I think so great job not touching the punter then there's running in the kicker and then there's roughing the kicker I don't know what the
164difference is one is if you hit the plant leg one is if you hit the any other body part kicking leg all right 939 Eagles offense been moving all night nothing to show for it though drips to the right side running back right typically this is a roll out play going to be a bubble route good job poer W good blocking out of your guys in front of you we've been saying that all game haven't we gain of a few see where they're gonna give it to us Cooper W for 11 yards in a Columbia Eagles first down he's got to have four or five catches tonight keep it going like you said there's that bubble we've asked for all night it's open it's one-on-one I tell you what the game is so much easier
165up here I love it it is so much easier I don't know why they don't do things more often I think coaches should not be on the field at all every one of them should be up here empty backfield motion man Hicks to the left side fake it quarterback up the middle I'll take that all day seven for the Eagles they're going to give him six nope they're going to give him seven depends on what official they're going to go with right now you got you got to think coach Horner is probably thinking in the back of his mind N9 minutes you got to score not not too quick but you can't let that clock get under about 7even six minutes cuz then roxan can take a lot of time with that Wing te offense
166N9 minutes remaining going to be an empty set here with tight end to the right side motion man Hicks coming right at us fake they do hand it off actually first down to the 40 3530 lowers his shoulder Out of Bounds at the 26 big gain there for the Eagles 19 Yards First and 10 we've seen these plays all night we've been getting these big chunk yards I want to see how many first downs we have with no points on the board I bet it's close to at least 10 yeah oh every bit of that yeah did he get out of bounds looks like he did the clock stopped that's good same formation here I think doubles to the right side motion man again they're going to fake it it's going to go on got
167a lot of room get outside the left side and he gets out there 20 15 almost but it's another first and 10 I think if janic holds that block for a quarter of a second longer we might be saying touchdown Eagles but that's all right I'll say first down Eagles good Vision there by Hicks he could have cut it up field but had that safety screaming hard towards him able to get on that outside edge first and 10 with 830 left now and we need a touchdown doubles of the right side moving the running back to the left uh sniffer back left tight end left motion man false start I don't know where the ball is it's going to be a pass and it's going to fall through the hands I think it was a
168little high for Nelson a little low for Bryant incomplete Nothing Hurt second and 10 8:15 to go ball at the 16 yd line that was almost a ball game pick right there yeah well the good thing is clock stops get your breath I believe we still have all three timeouts so coach Warner most likely going to keep those in his pocket for in case we need a stop if he has to burn one for a bad reason he might yep blow a head gasket been a part of those conversations before they not good doubles to the right side sniffer back right running back motion to the right going to keep it with Nelson cut to the 15 good tackles there otherwise it was going to be a touchdown house call 8 minutes now in counting
169third and nine and a play like that can matter because last year Jason Nelson is probably keeping that on the outside and trying to gain as many yards and he probably loses about four or five but then you get one yard there you're still at third nine got two downs to get a first down big play here on third down see if coach horer wants to go little trick play action this is a new formation here fake the handoff boot rolling to the right side throws it to the end zone for Janik and it's going to go incomplete not a bad ball though that was the only spot that he could throw it Janik was the only guy that was going to make the catch but now you got a fourth and nine that was
170just a simple little roll out bootleg to this side look like you had Crossing routes across the board fourth and nine probably the biggest play of the game so far right here with only 730 seconds remaining 140 big play here motion man Nelson fake the handoff throwing across his body up into the end zone and it's going to go in complete turnover on Downs again for the Eagles 731 remaining in the ball game I like the roll out thrown to the wide side of the field I want to know our total y we got to be over 200 yards Alex with no points on the board it's frustrating I can only imagine what coach Horner feels like right now your offense has been playing pretty good all night defense has been pretty Sol solid just
171can't get any points on the board great job by roxa defense inside the Red Zone every time to stand up straight they got first and 10 for Roxanna starting on the 15 yd line time is definitely on their side now going to be a stretch to the right side Coach G was trying to get somebody moved over there brought out of bounds stops the clock will take it gain of six maybe Keegan gets credit for the tackle man oh man had a lot of chances tonight it's all right it's not over 724 need a bad snap or something they got to do something wrong mocean man going to get the football cuts it back up the middle met by a ton of eagles good tackle I think that was Mason that got up there and
172stuck the running back gain of one third and two something you also got to think about here on defense whenever there's a big pile like that somebody's got to be the one to go in there and try to punch that football out try to get possession back in this game because you got to you're going to have to score touchdown here if you get the ball back definitely going to have to score a touchdown to make it a one possession game but third and three here under seven minutes see if the Eagles can get the ball back and try to make something happen they got the heavy boys in the Middle look like quick movement on the right side it's going to be first down for the shells and again out of bounds look like
173that right tackle might have got a little quick off the ball but it goes unseen it goes for about 10 yards first and 10 Raiden Myers comes running on for the Eagles I didn't see anybody run off Hicks comes running off now clock still stopped 6:36 sweep to the outside good job Cooper blowing the play up good job there by m and steel again steel making the play that play was blown up though by Cooper hitting the pulling guard or tackle whoever it was caused it to stretch out wide now you think about not yet calling timeouts I don't know six minutes left now you got a loss of one there offsides Eagles Bryant jumped second and 11 going to turn into second and six or seven depending on where this spot is call it
174six dob goes on Mankey comes off under 10 seconds on the play clock clock 545 on the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard roxan still up 14 nothing motion man fake it to him quarterback keeps it tucks it runs weird play call I don't like that but they're still going to get positive yards seven missed block or tackles Keegan is able to make the tackle penalty flag comes flying in from about 20 yards deep Doug Steinman is the back judge tonight got a good arm on him local guy I guess it's a holding can't really see you want to call it a holding penalty sure holding on the shells so 531 so now if you get a stop on third down say it is clock is running third and long I think you bur I'm burning one then
175you can still have two Eagles got to get the stop first second and 14 eight 520 sorry there's movement everywhere good thing they caught it it's all right second 19 now coming up why couldn't we have these earlier we're going to be asking ourselves a lot of questions watching film this week yeah a game that could be in our hands pretty easily have the least tied up right now should be at least 144 we've had the ball inside the five three times with no points Eagles players are trying to get the fans into it here big play second and 20 mocean man out of the play going to hand the ball off up the middle jumps over Coupe penalty on the play like I said if there's a stop here if this penalty is not
176on the Eagles I'm burning a timeout 449 looks like he hurdled a player I don't know if that's still a flag look like white was the one that got hurdled what's the uh motion for that does you official left does he have to jump over oh that'd be awesome whatever I don't know whatever this was so coach owner is going to decline it got to think about calling a timeout maybe well it's only 25 seconds too you don't you're going to save yourself 14 personal foul [Music] declined look like he put up third down yeah he declined it it was second down that entire time yep I thought it was third down that's why I was saying call the timeout yeah it was second and oh the holding penalty was the the took I guess
177okay third and 15 449 clock will start on the officials ready can't fall asleep out here if you're Ste now you follow Jace on that other side now you call a timeout here if you get the stop looks like they're going to run that play clock down under five seconds till they're going to get this play off motion man out wide it's going to be a stretch play and it's going to be brought down good job running the alley Mason vagley timeout timeout Eagles fourth down great play Mason vaguely running the alleys loss of two ball at the 22 23 yd line we're going to run into a break real quick while there's an eagle down getting stretched out we'll be back to kchs right after this [Music] and you're watch comb live on kchs
178welcome back to kchs huge fourth down and 20ish maybe it's 17 eagles look like they're going to bring the house looks like we get set up in good field position here too let's have a punt return back punt gets off going to fall at the 49 and it's going to give a roxan a bounce and they shouldn't touch it just let it keep going until the officials want to stop it and they're going to stop it at the 41 409 remaining in the ball game Eagles Trail 14 nothing have had ample of opportunities to get into the end zone haven't been able to get it done but that's all right you still got 410 two timeouts you only need to get in twice should have got in about five times now so be all right
179but you got to go Tempo we were in on the third play of the game yeah I think that set the tone yep definitely did but not over yet still got a chance trips to the right side running back right single receiver out wide to the top of the formation bubble Thompson catch good stalk block and get chased from behind good job good tackle there you literally get five six yards of Play why you let like I get the kids hurting over there cramping up or whatever but get on the football yeah be ready for the next play you get on the football right away if somebody doesn't see him you call go and their trainers aren't even out there yet like I said don't forget next week sons of the American Legion paying for
180entry for the uh retired and active military personnel I don't know who's supplying our meal next week before the freeberg game after that we go on the road to Wood River maybe Wood River or Salem we go on the road to Wood River Salem comes here for homecoming we go to Central in week eight Jerseyville comes here for week nine senior night hopefully we get a week 10 week 10 we're going to be hosting a game here let hope we're going to need some magic to happen here tonight and getting the end zone two time oh there's two injured shells there somebody over on our side didn't even see them oh big boy in the middle of the field can't even get up they're going to have to roll him over you can stand up
181some way different just a little south of us at halftime waterl Trails Triad 7even nothing are they at Triad I don't even remember yeah I don't know been a good one we expected this to score in this kind of game here tonight they sure ain't scoring 40 points tonight what they're used to the last couple weeks I thought tonight would have been a 30 to 30 score I thought both teams yeah I thought it well maybe not a final 3130 final with the home team having more points trying to play Shout and there is nobody moving to it except these two J kids right in front of us that's a good uh good wedding song grip dancing down there he was raising the roof all right Eagles offense let's get something going here doubles running
182back to the right side clock does start too second and four ball at the Eagle to 48 yd line vaguely look looking deep got a bunch of guys in his face he's going to throw it and it's going to be a miscommunication and it's going to be intercepted at the 10 yd line intended for Hicks big return coming at the 25 and that's where the shell is going to be tackled Hicks started running towards the middle of the field vaguely threw that to the outside of the field looks like Keegan just got the wind knocked out of him a little bit now you look at all the eagles walking Now Yep looks like Aaron P checks in for Keegan Thompson on this defensive drive he was able to make that tackle on the interception there
183got 333 left here now time is all on Rox Santa's side now three are wild 333 eagles with two timeouts left see if we can force a turnover or something Eagles showing Blitz they do runs up the middle C janick first one there to make contact second one there case musk to help bring him down gain of four five second and five good to see Thompson back up and in the game looks like the eagles aren't going to burn any timeouts and let that clock tick a little bit more if you're rock Santa you're not snapping this till under five on game or play clock under three minutes now running back up the middle this time cameraman was late getting over there looks like eagles are going to burn their second timeout going to be
184a third and one with 233 left in the ball game now you're waiting for a miracle here to happen no push-ups for the cheerleaders tonight had a bunch of them last week got the new smoke machines quarterback Club bought got to see them whenever the guys ran out on the field tonight but haven't been able to see him much after Matt vley helped a lot built some cases for him look pretty cool when they're working I mean Jerseyville putting up 55 points against this team that's kind of I bet you making me shake my head a little bit I don't know I don't want to feel like a homer and out of line saying this but I feel like the eagles should have put up 35 tonight yeah it should I think it could could
185be we should we should had at least 14 at half it should have been at least 147 I want to say at half but I want to know how many snaps we had inside 20 yard line Looks like we jumped that's one of those things you start pressing right now hard count offsides Eagles is going to be a first and 10 you start pressing at this point and uh start making those mistakes we haven't really made too many of them this year that'll be a fresh set of downs first and 10 from the 40 play clock will start right away and that timeout hurts right there oh yeah you oh it doesn't yeah that was coming out of a timeout yep so you come out of a timeout and you jump man that hurts even
186worse Eagles showing Blitz and they bring it stretch to the outside mcups over there and so is Nelson Jace now the third timeout for the Eagles here yep should be I believe that number uh three is signed to Northern Illinois is that where it is Rox yeah I think he just signed a couple days ago nothing big explosive out of like I said earlier it's not a very fancy big offense it's just they just put good plays together like I said earlier they probably only have five six plays they just run it different ways and they had a couple add-ons to uh their counters and whatnot 226 still it's going to be second and 15 from the shell 35 dob comes running on good job I haven't mentioned songs for soldiers we're going to try
187to get Dustin on next week good concert last weekend and uh another hopefully profitable year I don't know if you'll have those numbers for us next week but I know freshly pressed they did the red shirts they're going to be donating I think it's around $1,500 from the shirt sales so good job by them and another nice donation that Dustin will be getting Dustin and crew will be getting motion man Eagles jump again second and 10 now again out of the timeout yeah that's it's almost unacceptable Eagles are about as deflated as the helmet is over there I never understood that when I mean the football is literally right in front of you just watch it up the middle nothing going third and 12 now they gave him the original line of scrimmage Owen mcky
188gets the tackle third 72 Dylan Robinson coming off believe do went on approaching 100 seconds left to go in the game this is all but over yeah no timeouts to account for for the Eagles roxan gets a first down here it is over but they're not going to get it ox's going to burn one here boy this has really started to drag here if we jump off sides right here I might walk off this podcast or this broadcast make sure we mute your mic first don't just slam it down thanks for listening once again it just looked we had about 170 viewers last time I looked so thanks for watching I know a lot of the boys they go get together after the game game and uh watch the game on replay and like I
189said whenever the coaches watch film whenever they watch film it's going to be a lot of disappointment I think had our opportunities to get in the end zone just couldn't do it we can say that all day long and again a different offense or a different team your defense has been the same I feel like the defense has done their job but offense has been what fizzled out that one play that Nelson kind of got beat on on our Sidelines been the only really big play Big yardage play of the game balls on the turf Eagles recover Eagles recover the football okay minute 31 I didn't even see the ball hit the turf but look how they're walking around you just got a huge turnover yep you go a huge turnover and they just walk
190around you got a chance at wouldn't coming back yet all it takes a score onside kick and another quick score and we're headed to overtime see if we can score quick here empty backfield motion man Nelson guys in motion almost Statue of Liberty nothing going that Statue of Liberty the first time we tried running it too uh whenever we got the touchdown out of it they were very close to having two guys in motion yeah because I think we send we got to get somebody off the field I think yep Bryant's coming off 111 now in the ball game come on Bryant get off the field Bud going to go trips to the right side running back right typically what we line up as when we're going to roll out rolling out to the right
191side vaguely look deep Chucks it deep he's got Bryant over there at the 5 yd line he's got Bryant for a first down first and goal at the three yd line oh there's Keegan I said Bryant I just watched Bryant run off the field Keegan great play great throw there I go anouncing names wrong out of bounds about one and a half two yd line the corner is a little shaken up and to get back in the play Eagles got to get on the football goes out of bounds though so clock will stop I know you got their the shells on the on their heels a little bit going to go with Cam janick at that wild cat got to get in on this play you have to get in on this play Bryant there
192we go chanic right side touchdown Eagles said Brian again cam Janet good from about three yards I guess for an Eagles touchdown all right give yourselves a shot here all set up by that huge play vaguely to Keegan Thompson there's those smoke Machines working now I'm not talking early but if you do get that onside kick here and you score I think you go for two I don't think you you win in overtime against an offense like that no but we have everybody out there hopefully all starts with this makes it a seven-point game if he can hit this one good snap good hold kick is up and he's been pretty solid all year Keegan Thompson has been and it's good that takes the Cory Pharmacy scoreboard with 46 seconds to go shells 14 Eagles
193Seven huge play Keegan Thompson great run cam janick so does he know the difference between a squib and an onside kick here like compared to last week I hope so he said he just missed it last week we were calling for a squib and we had a perfect onite all right down to this kicking off at the 40 ball has to go 10 yards before we can touch it and they can touch it whenever they whenever they want they can bounce off of them at any point we can recover pick it up scoop and score into the end zone that'd be cool wouldn't it yeah hoping for a lot though it's all right you don't have to be good if you're lucky we said that last week right yeah you had a good finish last
194week we're going to have another good finish tonight give me a crazy bounce right here Keegan put that ball in the air let cam go hit one of those front guys and have your fast guys and jce Nelson and Bryant go down there and try to recover the football Rox needs to scoot up they're about 13 yards come on Keegan onside kick coming get a big bounce get a big bounce get a big bounce get on the ball why do we not pick it up that is exactly what we wanted oh that was perfect that is exactly what we wanted we just didn't go get it recovered by the shells oh my gosh and that's going to do it if you ask for what you want out of an onside kick you just got it
195that almost went like 12 12 yards Alex like that's what I was just saying they were way back they weren't on the 50 that's what you want and that's where it's going to end though for the Eagles on a great great onside kick that one hurts man Rox they might have to run two plays we'll see what the white hat makes them do 40 seconds they're going to start should be the play clock now and that's going to do it they don't have to run another play play that's going to end tonight's game roxan 14 Columbia 7 Colombia is going to fall to two and two Roxanna improves to three and one roxanna's lining up like they're going to run a play they don't have to going to do it anyways yeah it just hurt
196his fantasy stats there lost a one oh man what a heartbreaking loss for the Eagles when the Eagles watch film tonight tomorrow Sunday whatever it may be that's going to be a hard one to watch and opportunities glore couldn't get it done like you said earlier ton of yards on the offensive side of the ball just no points to show for it yeah overall I think we got beat up front like we did in week two again tonight um it all starts up front and I think in that first first half we really couldn't get anything I mean we could get stuff going we just once we got inside that 10 yard line we couldn't punch anything in the end zone we had a couple stupid penalties that pushed us back out of the um
197Red Zone but I mean overall we were right there with them the whole whole time defense played great just couldn't score enough points yeah got to have more points in the other team once again thank you to the sponsors tinies for the food up in the Press Box for all the volunteers Alicia Oglesby last week going to say your name right this time thanks for donating and Matthew Brook with electrod door donated Tequilas this week for the pregame meal Eagles fall 147 Heart Breaker and uh there's just really not too much to say about that one different game than what we saw last week and uh got to recover you got freeberg coming in town next week you know that's going to be a lot of fun and uh it's all we can say here
