001welcome back to kchs for the Eagles have third and 12 we're still trying to get through with this Wi-Fi right now third and 12 Eagles have had a pretty good drive right now see if we can get this trips to the right out four down linemen three linebackers manto man on the outside running back right going to be a roll out to the right and it's a bad snap [Music] bad snap loss of five fourth and 17 now not very many fourth and 17 plays for the Eagles Mason had to grab that with his left hand was snapped right out of his shin dead play just had to get what he could but had to just run out of bounds looks like offense is going to stay on the field on this fourth down empty
002backfield fourth and 20 is little shy of 20 going to be all verts down the middle of the field he's got rling and he overthrows rling about 50 yards in the air but not much you can do right there other than let it let her eat and it's going to be a turnover on Downs Eagles defense needs to get something done now good sustained Drive there took a little over four minutes off the clock so great job to get some first downs there but can't come away with any points out of it saem ball now up two scores thanks to the Wildcat PA announcer for trying to help us out there with the Wi-Fi situation trips to the left side single receiver out to the right running back to the left of the quarterback he's
003going to look down to the single receiver side and it's going to be a drop still would have been a 5 yd gain there still eight yard difference yeah I still don't know why Payton's playing off so deep because then if you come up and miss a tackle that guy could possibly score one one out here yeah you're asking Mason to come across the field yeah looks like we're going to have a same formation once again fake the hand off quarterback's going to keep it himself good job Logan Hicks Getting to The Back Field not missing the tackle sack on the play quarterback probably would have got a lot more yards there ran right into the back of one of his linemen after he faked the hand off Logan Hicks was able to gobble him
004up and bring him down to the ground for a loss of about two third and 11 now seven minutes left in third trips to the left side sniffer back left empty backfield he looks to the middle of the field that's where he had the big third down completion earlier now he's going to have to break down trying to make something happen can't make anything happen brought down by Bryant and Keegan Thompson good job by the Eagles defense on that drive much needed for this Eagles team quarterback was had his eyes all the way down field down the middle of the field thought he had a wide receiver that he wanted to go to he had that post that he had earlier in the game they went back to the same PL it seemed like he
005almost pump faked it and then tried to run towards that Columbia sideline but couldn't find anyone to really throw it to or no yards to gain there so fourth and 10 they're going to punt it away Eagles get back to the punter unable to make a block and I think that little bit of pressure there forced about a 30 yard punt nothing spectacular but the Eagles offense is going to get to start over at their own 44 yd line so good field position here for the Eagles see if we want to take a shot down field here on first down I don't know if everybody heard us earlier but roxan leading Central at halftime 3822 Hicks with the hand off of the outside Zone makes one man miss luckily gets back up to the line
006of scrimmage it's about two with the forward momentum before going out of bounds that's about to be a loss of five turned it into a positive two and that was one of those outside zones that I've been wanting to see turn into a lot of positive yardage and looks like they're going to spot at a gain of almost three looked like he might have like you said got back to the line of scrimmage but second and eight quarterback run this time Mason has to put his foot in the ground gets back to the original line of scrimmage loss of three third and 10 just nothing going good job by the Salem Wildcats getting in there and causing Havoc but poor job out on the Eagles there not being able to get anything going for the
007I don't know if I don't know if it's just me but when you look out looks like there's no no heart really like they're just kind of yeah they're just walking around no willingness to really try to March the ball down the field and make this one possession game doubles to the right side sniffer back right it's going to be a screen play got to get it away goes to Nelson who Miss times his jump and Falls incomplete going to have to bring on the punt unit once again I like that play call there having all those linemen kind of let their guy go by him and have that running back sneak out of the back field but someone read that well and stayed with Jace made it hard for Mason to give him the
008ball on that screen play have to punt this one away now with 446 now and there's third High snap brought down by vagley good punt gets off bounces at the 27 yd line pretty much checks up right away and that's where it's going to be down at the 27 yd line and the wild cats offense will come back out onto the field hunting contest I think I expect a little bit high scoring higher scoring I think I thought the Eagles had some momentum going after last week and this Wildcat offense shows that they can put up some numbers so I expect a little bit more than just a 20 to6 score right now like her Josiah Miller and looks like muscot pulling down that defensive line right now along with Hudson Bryant playing that D
009end spot you got Hicks Keegan Thompson and cam Janik playing the linebacker spot Sam Denny Mason vagley playing your safeties quarterback keeps it nothing going Keegan Thompson's there once again on that play there I watched uh Payton Andrews and typically he's got his back to the quarterback and now he's got it flipped around now he's got his front side facing the quarterback so that was a little bit of an adjustment I think we talked last week about that so I don't know if that's an adjustment he just made if he's been doing that all night tight end number 80 comes way out now he's below the numbers and throw a jump ball to him rolling out to the right side number 80 is going deep they're going to check down go to number 15 he's
010going to try to make a man miss and nothing going Mason vagle did a great job getting over there and making the tackle still gained about five there on that roll out like you said you had 80 going deep and then just a simple out route by that middle receiver forcing that linebacker to come out and make a tackle it looked like Mason was the one playing up in that linebacker position when you had pton Andrews dropping back into that deep quarter Cooper white comes on Logan Hicks goes off is again same play that they've been running just little quick hitch out to Hicks or over here to Andrew's side typically that's where Hicks would have been if he would have been coming out cover in the flat but it's not going to be there
011I still don't know why he's playing so deep though it's been been four or five times tonight well they're just picking on him cuz I mean if you're going to give him six seven eight yards of Separation all you got to do is run for four yards down field turn around and you have yourself a first down and they've done that four or five times and we haven't been able to stop it quarterback nothing going good job there by Cooper W quarterback didn't know if he wanted to pull or take it almost took both of them out good job CP loss of three on the play CP made up his mind he was going for the first guy he saw and took him out 230 left now they're going to have trips left set here
012most likely use that wide side of the field quarterback's going to have all day in the pocket going to dance around take a shot downfield great catch by number 15 kind kind of a broken play there I know that was not his original route made something out of nothing gain of about 20 it's going to be good for a first down and there you had Hera and somebody else in that back field quarterback just a lot of finger pointing going on right now on the Eagles defense yeah there is first and 10 for the wild catch trips to the left side ball on the right hash hard count Eagles almost jumped musop on the backside that's a fumble pick it up Eagles it's picked up by Cooper white no you cannot call that now that
013was close I think if I had a red flag I'd challenge it but that was from The Blind Side too great hit there by muscot from that back side quarterback had no idea he was there that was a delayed call out of the official blowing the whistle a shot and that's one of the hardest calls I think in football whenever that quarterback's taking a hit you don't know if his arm's coming forward or if that Ball's out before his AR arm is coming forward but tough call there second down and 10 big hole there for the wild cats running back fumble on the play they're going to call him down I think it was on the ground Columbia ball the ground caus the fumble call it ground calls the fumble big hit there by Mason
014vaguely stepping up and a third two now 109 in the third quarter they got think got number 80 is that sniffer back they're definitely going to yep lead blocker it's good for a first down Wildcats penalty flag thrown after the play is over number 23 put the truck stick on there and got the first down looked over the top of Sam Denny and the official was right there to tell him you can't do that yeah and you had number 80 as that sniffer back pulling being a lead blocker with the y making a hole for that running back most likely will be an unsportsmanlike or talking to the coaches on the sideline Coach G you just see him saying push him back as far as you can this is that still a first down though
015cuz it's a after the play [Music] right see what they have going here and sportsman like on sale first down first down just GNA so a after the play so they get the first down then it's a loss of 15 still says third down over there on the marker there we go first down now on the down marker now they got to move the chains of yard so now the clock should start on the officials ready Wild first and 10 for the wild cats good job by the officials getting all that squared away running play right up the middle followed by number 80 again nothing going good job moving their feet though to get a little bit gain a three man 80 coming in full out of steam I mean I don't think they've ran
016that all game and now that I'm paying attention to it number 80 putting him as that up back making him as almost an extra lineman he's the biggest kid on the field at 64 just hogging up the lane making room for that running back high snap handed off this time right up the middle good hit there by vagle another penalty flag call targeting on that no I don't think he led with his head though running back was tripping and put his head down that's a tough one there like you said whenever they're going down yeah I mean what do you want them to do let him not hit him two flags thrown on the play they were both for the same penalty God that's just tough one targeting by the defense I believe that was
017on vaguely cuz that running back got tripped up a little bit and fighting for extra yards in his head and he's looking straight at the ground Mason came in and put a hit on him so the clock will start that'll do it for the third quarter we're going to head to a break and when we come back we'll bring you the fourth quarter Eagles trailing the Mandy McGuire group scoreboard Salem 20 Columbia 6 we will be back right after this welcome back to fourth quarter action here from Salem been a good night so far other than the Eagles are traing 20 to6 who sings that one Alex a little trivia for you with this one yeah um like to get low low low low right oh oh There was my last guess first and 10
018for the wild first and 10 for the wild cats after the targeting call they got first and 10 from their own 25 yd line doubles to the left side Keegan showing Blitz he comes and it's going to be musk up I believe it is mup on the tackle Keegan tried coming in making the the punch at the ball gain of five gain of six second and four now if you're Columbia especially here you're trying to get a turnover anything to keep him out of the end zone even points here a field goal with make it a three-core game so really uh need a turnover on this these next couple plays second six from the 20 High snap play action quarterback's rolling out he's got the big tight end and it's going to be knocked down
019by Bryant play that's a big play right there there's nobody in front of the tight end after he would caught it yeah and there were three or four guys in that back field chasing after that quarterback tried to throw it over those four guys chasing him and Hudson Bryan able to get a hand on it knock it down third and four now from the 19 yd line 1117 left in this game Eagles down 14 definitely needing a stop or a turnover here they've done it many times tonight going at Andrews we'll see what happens he's about three yards off right now got his back to the quarterback quarterback's pointing over there see what happens happens they're going to hand the ball off though they're going to go up the middle good job clicking it out
020as a blocker and it's about a 15 yd gain brought down by vaguely gets into the 10 yd line though first and goal from the [Music] nine eagles need a stop under 11 minutes could be your drive of the ball game right here and it goes untouched into the end zone for the Wildcats nine yards just nothing going for the Eagles defense on that play he didn't he didn't even get TouchDown I didn't that was a that was a hard one to call you couldn't even talk about anybody pulling that was just a great Hole by the wild cats and great running into the end zone not very good defense not very good defense on that play no so that Manny Maguire group scoreboard is going to look a little different currently sits at 26-6
021on for the Pat is number 32 good snap good hold kick is up and it's right down Central so that takes the score Salem 27 Columbia six Eagles are going to need to score three touchdowns unanswered to tie this ball game up we're going to head to a commercial break real quick when we return we will be back with the rest of the 1048 right after [Music] this [Music] so Jared just went ladies and gentlemen from knowing every rap song that's been play so now we got blue I've never heard this I know it's good my niece man oh yeah your niece got it we now know what Jared does on Friday nights when it's not football season I watch Bluey wild cats set it deep it's going to be returned from the 29 truck
022stick there by Keegan Thompson lowering the boom gets an additional five yards out of it good job that's the first hard run we've seen out of the Eagles tonight maybe in the last couple weeks yeah that was uh man man big hit there by Keegan Thompson lower in the boom that might be a hit of the year on the offensive side of the ball so the Eagles are going to take over from the 41 yd line we'll see what happens got to get in the end zone now we needed two last drive now you have to doubles to the left side sniffer back right pistol back going to fake it to him going to have to run right away nothing going as quick as he did the play action right there the wild cats were
023in the back field and there was nothing happening yeah and he was trying to roll out to this right side didn't even have enough time to do that usually Mason's good enough with his legs to at least get to that outside outside The Tackle Box to look down field maybe throw one down field towards a receiver just put his head down and run but no choice there got caught from behind loss of six second and 16 going to be in a double set here ball right in the middle of the field Mason's going to get the ball going to drop back to pass he's got Denny right at the first down marker makes a move going to have the first down simple little slant route great ball there by Mason Bagley Jared keep going with
024the play bypl last week you got a win when you did the play bypl there's a good 20 yard gain you got it you got the touch this year I don't know about that good play there all around good Patience by vagle waiting for that slant to open up good timing by the lineman to give Mason enough time to throw that ball now we're going to come out doubles to the right sniffer back right running back to the right single receiver up top is rainwater ball at the 40 yd line Mason's going to fake the handoff going to do a little reverse to rebling little razzled Dazzle here only going to gain oh he's going to break break out of that one going to have the first down I thought he was going to only
025gain five or six there broke through a tackle turn into 15 or 16 got something moving now keep the momentum going if you're the Eagles good little play call there faked the hand off Mason spun around and flipped it right up to Lucas Reelin who was coming full speed and we're going to go Tempo we're trips to the right side running back to the right rainwater the single receiver up top vaguely going to roll to his right not really anything downfield he's going to reverse field to the left side going to get the first down going to go out of bounds and there's another first down for the Eagles is that three plays three first downs three plays three first downs good drive here right now by the eagles with 905 now remaining in the
026fourth quarter was 66 at one point 21 unanswered or by the Salem aats going to be first and 10 from the 11 good set I think he's got to get set no going to take the snap reing looked like it could have been a false start going to throw it up towards brainwasher he's going to catch it but he's going to be in bounds they call it a touchdown everybody up in the stands and almost everybody in this whole stadium thought he was out of bounds but rainwater comes down with his second receiving touchdown of this ball game making the score 2712 on that got to go for two here on that scoreboard yeah I'm we're going to go for a one I like it keep it at a 14 point deficit I think we
027moved the running back he was on the right side they moved him back to a pistol back and as he moved rling started cheating in with the Blitzer and I guess he was just moving sideways I think we could have had two guys in motion right there but man look at that drive yeah Jared's sticking with it Thompson on for the pat first one was blocked after a high snap good snap good hold kick is up and it sneaks in that takes the score on the Mandy McGuire group scoreboard Salem 27 Columbia gets back up on the board gives you 13 points and that takes that George Weber Chevrolet touchdown total to 12 for the season and that's $1,200 coming from Weber Chevrolet that's what you wanted to see you wanted to see us throw
028the ball a little bit Mason did a great job on that drive finding the open guy Sam Denny had a couple catches great job there by rainwater in the back of the end zone to get a foot down and like I said everybody up here definitely I didn't think he was in I said he's going to be out of bounds but that just goes to show you that's great positioning by the official Doug steinitz there to uh to be right there be in the right spot make the call I mean he was within a couple yards right there so I say we kick it right at 74 right now in the middle of the field kick it as hard as you can right at him make him make a decision on I we did that
029against alof the opening kick uh I think I was in eighth grade and Andrew dosset was the kicker and they had probably a 330 40 lb dude standing right in the middle and he kicked it off hit him Square in the helmet went right back to us and we recovered it that's one way to get the ball I'd kick it right at him we'll see what Keegan decides to do takes the steps and slips and Falls gets picked up at the 22 yd line big hit once again somebody just got bounced off of there oh gosh like number five there madx stefen got put on his butt there's no reason for that penalty right there and ran right back at the guy that got put on his but or put him on his butt never
030want to see that flag was thrown after the play it's going to be first down for Salem penalty on the Eagles is on Sportsman like conduct after the play and that's something that you never want to see as a coach I mean especially after plays plays over go to the sideline or go get go get ready for this next Drive no reason for that penalty that's 15 yards closer now for the wild cats trips to the left side sniffer back left empty backfield going to roll out to the left side just going to be a quick little throw only for a gain of one but now they're going to have to make something happen with their feet tackle I bet you there was five or six missed tackles right there so instead of a gain
031of one gain of 11 first down for the wild cats well we can't even run tackle drills anymore Alex cuz we were shorts to practice every week and it shows it does I mean that shows right there that you don't five six guys not making a tackle and when you don't tackle all year long I mean and only do on Friday nights that that shows it right there hand the ball off up the middle good job there [Music] getting contact right away flag on the play looks like going to be a hold Hera got drugged down by his shoulder pad holding on the offense yeah you can definitely see whenever you're not practicing tackling we had an arm tackle earlier that we talked about about and we've talked many times about Miss tackles that's almost
032been all season long yeah everybody's kind of just going in as an arm tackle because in practice that's what you do yeah you run up to him in practice you throw your arm out and you say oh yeah I tackled them yeah well the officials don't have quick whistles on Friday nights and in a team that runs like Salem's running I mean they're pretty physical running back so you got to get a good body on them there empty backfield they're faking everything short going to throw it to the in most inside guy who wasn't even looking like he was part of the play it's going to be a gain of 10 and a little dead leg there on the Tackle by vley comes off limpin brings up second and 10 to the original line of
033scrimmage 750 remaining in the ball game Eagles are going to have to get a stop here no matter what try to get an onside kick make something happen here doubles to the right side single guy out here to the bottom going to fake the handoff quarterbacks going to try to pull it out and it's a fumble it's going to be picked up by Hudson Bryant he's going to have to try to get around the official he does now he's trying to get Hicks to lead block he gets down to the 51 in zone touchdown Eagles quarterback tried to pull it at the last second Hudson was right there that's the play that the Eagles defense needed and they get into the end zone about a 40 yard fumble recovery by Hudson Bryant right man at
034the right time he kind of used the ref as a block there too had a receiver on that far side on our sideline chasing Hudson Bryant down as he ran towards the middle of the field and kind of use the ref right behind him as a blocker so now this is even even bigger play right here you're down eight currently 2719 still in the game still a one possession game if you miss it but if you make it it makes things so much easier flag on the play a false start false start it's okay I got faith in Keegan Thompson's leg scoot it back so 5 yard penalty we're going to try it again you know that makes you think I mean if you go for two and don't get it then you only down
035eight if you get it you're down six and then a p wins it you're going to yeah you have to go for two one way or another I think I mean I think I think you do at some point you're not playing for overtime I don't think you're one and five trying to spoil their homecoming good snap good hold kick is up and I think that's going to be right down the middle and it is we always talk about the Pats 10% of the plays 90% of the uh the outcome sometimes that takes that Mandy McGuire group scoreboard now Salem 27 Columbia 20 13 touchdowns now for the Eagles thank you to George Weber Chevrolet $1,300 Jared things just got a little interesting now with 718 Eagles down seven right back in the ball game
036a lot more interesting with a lot of time left in this game um now if you're Salem you're just trying to run this clock down as much as possible um I don't think you do onside kick here I think you kick it deep have faith in you have plenty of time yep you got all the momentum right now too I mean this you just went from being outscored 21 nothing to 14 nothing now so you got all the momentum interesting Keegan typically kicks with the ball on the X at the 40 yd line last time he's moved it closest to to us to the right side of the field we'll call it this time he's moving it to the left side so remember that last kickoff he fell over I bit my tongue on that
037right like a play or two right before that I said there's no effort out here with these guys and then now we got gets in the back field and makes a great play great vision downfield too to see two Defenders down there and get himself in the end zone now we got a one possession game great kick by Keegan this time going to be caught at the 10 yd line now we got to make a tackle down at the end of the field good job there by the Eagles getting there stri it all sorts of guys are on the [Music] football and it's going to be down between the 25 and 30 yd line we'll see where the officials are going to put it officially 29 28 28 yard line so we'll see what this
038Eagles defense do it again boys thank you for sticking with us tonight Wi-Fi's been been a rough one Wi-Fi's been fun we'll just call it that so I don't know how many streams we've officially started stop good job by Josh is zling nine or 10 of them tonight going to be a quarterback Quick Pass just another hitch route over to the outside puts his foot in the ground luckily he put his foot in the ground on the outside or out of bounds line gain of five stopping the clock at seven minutes and if you're Salem you want that clock to tick as much as you can you're up seven with the ball second and six we'll call it five here big play here on second down hand the ball off to the running back it's
039going to be sniffed out once again Hudson Bryant was back in the back field made initial contact slowed him down Keegan Thompson's going to be there right away afterwards and Logan kcks gets in there as well gain of two third and three huge play right here if you can get the ball back with 5 minutes to go in the game here's your little bit of points that you that you wanted you said you want a little bit of a high-scoring game 47 total points on the board now need one more touchdown to tie it up number 80 is going to be your lead blocker here if I had to guess there you goes around side they're going to hand it off they're going to follow him big hit big hit cam Jan I believe gain
040of nothing fourth and three and if you're Salem you're going to have to punt Salem good job Eagles defense a little bit stunned here right now thought they were going to walk away with one up 27 to6 not so fast my friend not so fast as Lee get to watch him in about 12 hours on College game day we got Texas Oklahoma tomorrow Red River Red River rivalry say that five times fast clock still ticking 540 punt gets off going to be returnable bounces at the 37 Lucas tries to pick it up and he fumbles it it's going to be picked up by it's a dead ball he didn't a dead ball it didn't touch [Music] him you can't Advance the ball but if he didn't touch it he did touch it he touched that
041you just can't Advance it on a on a punt okay it's going to be Salem Ball but you cannot Advance it these guys don't watch football they don't know what's going on huge mistake there out of the Eagles got the ball with 530 but the fumble Lucas was trying to pick it up and run with it bounced off his hands was recovered by Salem and it was a it was a pretty decent bounce that he got he was trying to pick it up on the Run had one guy standing right there just tried to scoop it kind of like a first baseman but kind of went right between his legs and no one else there to recover it for the Eagles Salem recovers double tight set this time for the wild cats nothing going case
042musk up great job filling the Gap no gain on the play second and 10 that's where the Eagles needed that break no game now the defense got to do it again yeah now the clock is definitely not our friend they're going to run this play clock down to under five seconds if they're smart here double tight once again single receiver to the right side tried a hard count Eagles nearly jumped stayed on side running back moves to the left side of the quarterback sniffer back left now they moveing pistol slow snap once again slow play once again nothing going number 76 just did a great job finishing a block Columbia has w a penalty I don't I didn't see anything yeah P muscot was looking at this ref down here he's just getting blocked yeah
043saying that he was holding his jersey but that guy's just a little bit bigger than you you're right K coming in as a freshman holding his own though 510 185 yeah he I mean he's been a kid all year man that's not been afraid of contact sticking his nose in there leading the team in tackles last last week 185 vers 300 third and nine third and eight double tight once again now they're going to go quarterback this time right up the middle nothing going good job coming up making a Tay tackle for buman no gain on the play fourth and seven we'll call it and I heard coach stump he I saw the same exact thing that left guard was moving before that ball was snapped should have been a false start but fourth down
044with 334 now no timeouts have been called by either Team all night I don't believe I think one timeout used by Salem in that first half we'll that I think that was it so regardless the Eagles have all three timeouts 320 in the game down 2720 s probably going to call a timeout here y run it down talk about this fourth down play see if definitely going to go for it here I would imagine yeah fourth and seven from 23 okay here's a thought for you do you run verts throw it up if it gets intercepted if it gets intercepted at the five you pin them if it's a PL pass interference you get a first down if you drop yeah if you drop it happens they get it at the 23 yd line yeah
045and your defense has showed that they've stopped it or you can score a touchdown out of it possibly win the game I mean yeah I like it I also like I me and you've got a receiver number 80 he comes in at 6'4 yeah just throw it up to him yeah definitely got to honor all of that yeah you got fourth and eight here call it seven but it's almost too long to run the ball cuz I I'm fourth and five fourth and four they've been getting three four yards of carry so almost have to pass the ball here on Fourth and long see if coach shaine wants to bring a blitz and try to get to that quarterback pressure him a little bit and force something down field but columia coming out on the
046field now and this could be likely the biggest play of the game pick up a first down here they'll be able to waste a little bit more time I know we have timeouts but big play here on Fourth and eight you can hear the eagle sideline getting into it over there not many of them over there but the ones who made the the trip getting loud eight fourth and eight double tight come on boys quarterback's going to keep it himself he's going to throw it up to number 80 it's going to be picked off by Mason vley Eagles are going to take over at the five yd line bat it down and bat it down yep no great job there by Mason though tried throwing it up to number 80 like me and you both
047said that they should do and they tried to but you had both safety standing right there making a great play on the ball was Mason vagle intercepts the ball going to take over around the 12 maybe the 13 yd line oh the five oh the five it's about where he's laying right now I thought he got up four or five yards so yeah that's what we expected and now it's a pick but it's an 18 yard punt now you force the Eagles to go 90 plus yards in 305 in three minutes there is an injured wild cat is number 80 we're going to head to a break while they are tending to the injured Wildcat we'll come back with the final 305 live from [Music] Salem welcome back to kchs for the Eagles Trail this
048one 2720 305 95 yards ahead of them 94 yards we'll call it the six yd line of course as soon as we went to the break right there the injured Wildcat was able to step off the field he is under his own power gingerly so good to see he's at least coming off the field Eagles are going to come out doubles ball straight to the right side of the field three down linemen four down linemen rather going to take the hand off nope going to be quarterback keep right up the middle it's going to be vaguely he's going to have to protect the football he keeps his feet moving he's got a stiff arm protect the football mace good job bud keep your feet moving going now he's to the 42 yd line 36 yards
049on the play get on the ball you got to get on the ball good Play It's not over good call J Jared on the ball wait for them to reset them chains but once that clock starts moving your play has to be in you got to be ready another 50 250 left but you got to be ready for that next play great play by Mason vaguely holding the ball in Logan Hicks is ribs for as long as he could and pulling it getting a good gain going to be the same play now they're going to hand it off this time though to Hicks he's got the left side he's got the edge he's got near a first down big thing is he goes out of bounds stops the clock with the momentum 50 yd line
050come on Mason still trying to catch his breath ball right at the 50 228 on the clock doubles four down lineman two linebackers same play it's going to be Hicks to the left side puts his foot in the ground gets a first down gets stood up and driven back but it's still a first down as he gets to the 45 yd line on the Wildcat side of the field 219 plenty of time three timeouts now don't take a stupid chance though either be smart and know that you have all three timeouts so much easier up here clock is ticking you got to be ready for that almost at two minutes now Blitz out of number 15 here he comes we're going to run away from him and it's going to be tried to be pulled
051by vagley as he loses his footing clock's still ticking though got to get up that's what I didn't like there I think I think on this drive you got to you got to try to get on the ball as fast as possible and get as many plays in as you can because you still got those three timeouts if you're not able to convert on a fourth down second 13 we're going to roll out to the right side they're going to throw it it's going to be caught by number for Denny he's going to try to get up field gets a couple positive yards do you take a timeout here for Coach Warner gain of eight and he does take a timeout 127 127 clock shows 124 timeout Eagles I had 127 when I looked up
052we'll see if they put the final three or the extra three up there saw that earlier too officials got together one two eight eight we'll take the extra one so it's the gain of eight brings you a third and we'll call it seven so we'll go seven yard game thank you what do you got here jaran you need you don't need you don't need seven yeah you don't need all of it right now so I think I think you run a a bubble route with anybody honestly I mean all these kids are good and open field um I think if you get it into either rebling hands or a kid like jce Nelson out on the edge make a couple people Miss maybe get out of bounds um get to un manageable fourth down I
053think that's the best thing that we can do here you don't want to get it all here on third down you got two plays to get seven yards and then you'll have about a minute to get 35 yards and try to tie this game up remember the Eagles got into this on the scooping score out of Hudson Bryant got us into the onore game here so Eagles down 2720 showing a little life late in the game ball in the right hash doubles to the left side sniffer back right running back left I believe is Jay Sni nson motion man is reibling they're going to look across the middle of the field Mason's going to have to scramble around throws it up to Denny it's going to be caught at the 25 he spins to the
05421 yd line first down for the Eagles case mcups wanting to get the guys at the line of scrimmage 118 ball to 21 clock still not started 118 now they got it started why they got it started that's an early start that's an early start why I guess Ball's set they got to wait till the clock set oh the official just started that was 10 seconds he just Mo dropped his hand down my doubles doubles all the way around give it to Nelson and he gets pushed in the back you got to call timeout I don't know if he got his feet tangled up but it almost looks like Mason whenever he hands the ball off pushes him in the back he does that almost every time every running back yep especially on those outside
055zones to get going man we'll have to ask on uh what the official starting time is like you said I thought it was when the chains were moved it's a loss of one on that play is it when the chains REM moved is it when the down marker is set I think it's when the ball is set and the chains are set and the clock or the ref he Dr sign yeah he signals are run the clock I have no idea on that ruling so I'll take your word for it 55.8 seconds to go Eagles have 22 yards that they got to get to tie the ball game up should be 105 on that clock right now 10 extra seconds see what the Eagles are going to do they're already broken the Huddle you have
056one timeout left if you get a couple yards here give you a third and manageable still don't have to take a [Music] chance doubles ball in the left hash you're short one player there's only 10 guys on the field for the Eagles Hicks goes running out late as a running back hopefully he knows what play he's running play action to Hicks good job getting out of the pocket vaguely he's going to try to get to the left side he's got the first down he's going to go out of bounds great play there by Mason good block I did not see who the lineman was that made the block to not have a hold good Eyes by Mason stepping up he gets the first down first and goal I believe for the Eagles 48 seconds to
057go ball at the 10 Alex I don't want to think ahead of ourselves here but well then don't all right we'll wait we'll wait we'll wait I'm not playing for overtime I'm not either doubles running back to the right side I would imagine Salem's going to start bringing pressure here soon hand off to Hicks nope quarterback keep going to be a gain of five got to get up to the line of scrim get on the ball 5 y gain good posi play save that timeout save that timeout right now you have to get on the ball we onun the same dang Play Good set who's calling a timeout now Salem calls a timeout keep running the same play yeah I think so I mean you got one timeout Salem yet or zero I think they
058don't I don't think they've burned any in the second half yeah they blew the B one down here so they might have just taken the one yeah was that in the third might have been the third quarter they took that one I can tell you it was either the third or the fourth one and one got Josh over here being the ears for us one timeout each team 32 seconds ball in the 5 yd line Eagles Trail it 2720 here in Salem was a was an exciting first quarter a boring third second and third quarter for the Eagles fans and really uh ramped up here in the fourth this might be one of the most exciting quarters we've had on year we haven't had many long time out here for both teams coach Germaine's walking
059around in no man's land out here coach Warner in with Coach Kendall trainer James seich who's a quarterback mindset he was a quarterback back in the day still watches a lot of football and it's always neat you talk to him after games and see what his thought processes is are all right all right Eagle fans 32.6 doubles Hicks as you're running back to the right side of vagley low snap going to be a fake once again vagle is going to keep it himself original line of scrimmage gets up to about the four three four yd line 20 seconds to go timeout Eagles good timeout good timeout that's the Eagles final timeout God I hate these games but I love them I can't stand it all right there was nothing going Salem good job making that
060adjustment I think they knew if one guy's going to go for the running back somebody's got to still stick with the quarterback so they made the right adjustment and more or less had a spy I guess you'd say on I think this is a spot where Mason's just saying give me the ball and I'm putting this thing in the end zone with everything I can do I'm going to try to get this ball in the end zone um any way possible I I don't know if you want to run that same play because they're probably going to have seven or eight guys in the Box bringing a lot of heat but we'll see what coach Warner wants to do here on third down and four no timeouts left so if you go for it here
061and you get short of the goal line you better get on that ball and I think you got to go to the air try to yeah I think you do too yeah you got to go to the air here roll him out yep bo' be nice to have another guy number uh 12 wearing a Jersey this year it'd be nice if you had a uh had somebody that could run throw jump do whatever we'll see what Mason can do eagles offense has done great job tonight putting some Drives together see if they can do it one more time getting in the end zone got to do it with 20 seconds to go going to be a pass they're going to look to rling on the outside he's got to go backwards he's got to get
062to the end zone he gets through the goal line touchdown Columbia touchdown Eagles on a quick Arrow route to the right side P pitch and catch is all we needed to do uhoh we're keeping our offense on the field Alex can't play for overtime keeping our offense on the field Alex holy smokes I don't even know what this formation is Eagles are going to go for two Salem does the right thing they burn their final timeout 14 .5 seconds to go I didn't see what the outside route was there I would imagine it was a slant little Arrow Route and a slant on the outside so you had Arrow out of your slot with rbbl and a slant coming to the inside and it almost looked like he ran backwards he was at the 10
063yard line at one point and he made it do is get to that pylon and he got in good job by Lucas rling that takes to Manny McGuire group scoreboard thanks to that touchdown in the George Weber Chevrolet counter what a comeback Alex the game sits right now with 14.5 seconds 2726 what a comeback by The Eagles 20 unanswered we need 22 so we're going to have the formation that we showed just before the timeout there's going to be a running back on each side of vagle it's going to be Jace and cam Hicks is going to be your pistol back everyone's in the Box for Salem singles receivers to the outside here's your ball game ladies and gentlemen and it's a motion out of everybody empty Back Field everyone up at the line of
064scrimmage for the Eagles more motion out of Nelson quarterback's going to keep it it's going to be vaguely he's going to have to try to get away penalty Flags thrown four five guys for Salem getting to the Back Field it's going to be a hold on the [Music] Eagles two-point conversion is no good so now you got to do an onside kick holding on the Eagles is declined I still love the choice there going for two nope yeah I got to do it I love it on the road lots of things going on homecoming senior night trying to kill their playoffs hopes Falls just short right there the formation I don't think we've seen all season long and just another situation where guys got in the back field right away a lot of motion going
065around there and that's all I watch to get the kids confused on what's going on and it was going to be a pass play I like the pass option because you're going to give Mason an opportunity to use his feet so now you got to get the onside recovery and a uh a Hail Mary Mason already showed he can throw it 40 50 yards in the air pretty easily so it all starts here with the hands team this is where you want cam Janik or pton Andrews to go down there lay the boom on somebody and be able to recover this ball right around the 50 yard line give yourselves a chance you could even if you get this on kick here get complete two balls it's got to go 10 yards and it's going
066backwards just didn't get the bounce and it goes out of bounds all they'll have to do is take a knee and this one should be over what a ball game we're going to come up short a lot of fight from the Eagles tonight though at one point we said there wasn't much fight going on out there and it looked a little lethargic prove this wrong wild y so with that Eagles are going to fall to one and six on a great game by the Wildcats and the eagles they are lining up to do the final knee on the game here it's going to end Salem 27 Columbia 26 and Jared like you said uh we can beat around the bush all the time and it's just two little too late um Eagles are going to
067fall to one to six yeah those that second and third quarter is kind of where we lost our tread there fourth quarter where we got most of our momentum back um and turned it into a good ball game had that catch by Dalton rainwater to make it a two-score game in the back of the end zone um and then you had Hudson Bryant returning about a 50 yard fumble recovery in for a touchdown to make it a one-score game um and then getting the ball back going on a 90 5 yd drive to almost tie the ball game up cut it to one go for two to go for the win with 14 seconds left but just come up short um you got to love the fight from all those kids out there tonight um
068I know we fall the one and six but um tough environment to play in and uh tough second and third quarter you had a good catch out of the far end zone or far sideline over there you had rainwater getting his first touchdown to get the scoring started I believe he was the one that had the great catch in the back of the end zone two like you said the scoop and score so he had the plays there just couldn't string them together to uh get Victorious here tonight but a good game all in all um you traveled that hour and 40 minutes you didn't have school today had a couple things going against you and uh in the end Salem was just the better team tonight whenever they need to get more points on
069the scoreboard so with that that takes us to the postgame show and we will talk about week eight it's going to be senior night where we will be honoring our seniors um I think we got about half a dozen or so 1 2 3 four five oh 6 7 8 9 10 11 we got 11 I didn't realize we had that many we got 11 seniors that we will be honoring next week on senior night we will be taking on the central cougars so make sure you come out to the perch come tailgate with the parents at the perch and get ready for week eight action and with all that being said thank you once again to our sponsors thank you to the booster club for uh putting the meal together for for us tonight
