002to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God thank you how did we miss that Mr Curry perfect no public comments okay we're on to our action items excuse me approval for the minutes for the regular board meeting of April 20th 2023. has everybody had a chance to review the meeting minutes yeah and we'd like to make any questions or comments questions but we like to make a motion to approve those minutes as presented I'll make that motion thank you Mr Miller Camp do I have your second oh second a second okay roll call please yes and uh Greg Meyer yes hi yes Tyson search yes yes perfect passes with that our next item is recognition of our retiring board members like like
003Scott middle camp and Tammy Hines for their time on the board it is a very thankless job but the pay is well worth it right now yeah exactly we received no pay and no gratitude and that was a lot of gratitude and it is self-sufficient but uh Tammy is not here but Scott Tammy have been a just a really integral part of this board and they both just care very deeply they both are very intelligent people they bring a lot to the party and they're our senior board members so you guys have been on longer than anyone else and just as of tonight Scott always catches the little stuff and keeps me in line and I appreciate that I definitely need it scatterbrain but uh the the knowledge especially Scott has of the district and
004the history and everything else is is really phenomenal and we do reserve the right to call you for some advice yeah I'm always there you got my number I appreciate that I think we do have a little something for recognition for your time on the board and you do get paid oh that is cool have the Board of Education we thank you for your service thank you thank you very much thanks Scott thank you thanks for 15 years yep 15 years this is awesome because Eagle View we resurrected that From the Ashes well that's right back then yeah it's wonderful now I can say back in the day just like an old dude right about 10 years ago right yeah you were involved in the Middle School no middle school was right before right before
005me yeah yeah like I'm very sincere appreciate everything you've done and you're ready no I I appreciate it this is I moved to this District I moved to Colombia because of this District um we came and visited uh the elementary school we sat in on a kindergarten class uh we had we had purchased a lot to build a home and that kind of went sideways so we didn't get here in time for Kelsey to start kindergarten but we found another lot we built another built a home and she started fifth grade here so she went right into Middle School at the old unit building and uh we figured that'd be the best transition for her going you know what kids were going from elementary to Middle School he's now 30 and gone my son went
006all the way through school here too so but we did we chose this District um Dr B sat down with us and and talked to us about what what this District was all about back then and uh we wanted a place to raise our kids it's awesome well Scott and Tammy both are the first ones to step up and it's got as everybody knows served as president before me and did a better job than I'm doing but uh it's uh it's rare to find somebody that's in it for the right reasons and those two are definitely on the right reasons so thank you very much and with that is a Bittersweet moment because it's sad to see our departing board members leave but it's exciting to have some fresh ideas and faces in our midst
007so I believe it's time to seat our new board members we have to privilege canvas oh that's right that's right I'm getting I'm just so excited to get you guys all right okay I'll try all right so so this is my first time singing board member so I'm a little uh Scott went just like that all right um so we need to approve us the canvas of votes from April 4th 2023 the county clerk is responsible for the canvas the votes and the board only needs to review and make a motion to approve the canvasive votes from the April at least review them make sure emotional so we need to make a motion to approve the canvas so the votes for the April 4th 2023 Consolidated election so if anybody would like to make a

020so that we can have the new teachers in the week before school starts and we can have that meet and greet and move that up forward it also works out because in the August we post the budget and that'll make sure we have the 30 days before the next month's meeting November is also a date that gets moved because of the conference that's in Chicago for the board but I've we've given you the the dates and I would recommend that you approve those as presented any discussions or comments but maybe you'd like to make a motion to approve the dates and meeting times perfect uh all in favor any opposed perfect that's unanimous well that concludes our meeting unless we always add something to the agenda and that's just board member comments does anybody has

022to go over some more design ideas just so you guys are all aware once those are put in paper because we had an initial concept drawing that's being redone we have not received any revised copy of that so just for I'll look for everyone's awareness once we'll meet we're going to meet next week expect we'll have a paper version or some kind of electronic version that we can share with you guys but there's been a little Gap in information transfer that we've just been waiting for some Communications to go through but we'll share that revised concept drawing as soon as we get it so perfect we are meeting on um the 18th in the morning and so we'll have that information hopefully for the seven o'clock meeting we have next week for the regularly scheduled

024to hear that not every area has to do that training and it's it should be it should be done I mean it was actually yeah yeah you did wear a lot did you have the separate one um with uh Kelton Davis he was there and he so he maybe he said that one whenever I got on my first time we drove to like red bud oh got the regional office and then he had a separate thing there that was um very educational as well yeah no it was another yes Barney did the original training and then the Redbud one was done now they're competing firm right right yeah but it was kind of nice to hear the the opposing they must say just continue that because I don't remember that yeah so they might have
