Our New Jersey student learning assessment from last spring. The result slides are now posted on the district website under the curriculum technology and assessment page. The curriculum committee met earlier this school year to review those results while they were still private before we could share them with the public. And we're using them to plan our instruction for this school year and we will

continue to do so. Now, the full battery of last year's spring testing results are posted on the website. The access for our ELLL students, our NJGPA, our high school graduation requirement. All of those slides are available. Meline, unfortunately, as our student board rep fell ill. She's out of school for a few days. So, I know she's looking forward to updating us all in January. She'll give a double report. But in the meantime, just to highlight from each of the schools, our ALJ research students are moving through the IRB review process so that their research is valid and appropriate to conduct. At Carl Hcom School, we held artists integration day through which each discipline did an activity closely connected with um fine and performing arts. The making a difference student recognition program took place at Henley

School where through which each teacher nominates a student who it could be a small act of kindness, it could be something larger and that's always such a heartwarming um morning. And last Wednesday we had the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade at Valley Road School. Each year this um event grows. Melissa Sakowski um our first grade teacher who organizes it. just seeing how it's expanded over the years. Um she had the high the middle school band play. It's just really um amazing. And lastly, our preschool students made ornaments for the preschool tree that's housed in the municipal building. Going back to fine and performing arts, our holiday concert series will kick off next Wednesday evening with Valley Road School. Carl Humph has been split into two because the program has grown so large. Thursday the 11th will

be the choir and the 18th will be the band. ALJ Tuesday the 16th and Frankie Henley Wednesday the 17th all in the ALJ auditorium at 7 p.m. Tuesday the 23rd is our last day prior to the um winter break. It'll be an early dismissal for students and teachers. break begins that obviously afternoon and then the first full day of break is Wednesday, December the 24th and the break will run through Friday, January the 2nd. I notice students and even teachers are excited because the way the holidays fall this year, um the length of time is optimized and schools will reopen on Monday the 5th and we're equally excited for that reopening. On behalf of the entire district, happy holidays and working with all of you is a gift. Thank you and have a great evening.

>> Thank you, [clears throat] Mr. Randy, is there a report of the committees? >> I have two things I'd just like to announce. Um, the ALJ Alumni Association met on November 13th and it is currently accepting nominations for the Hall of Fame for um next year 2026. And also, Union County School Board Association meeting is on December the 10th, Wednesday, December the 10th. Um it is at the Orange Avenue School in Cranford and um board members can attend in person. Dinner starts at six o'clock and the regular the regular meeting will start at 6:45. It can be attended both in person uh or virtually. >> Thank you, Miss Grow. Any other Mr. Small? >> Yes. [clears throat] Just like to um wish all of our winter athletic programs the best of luck in this upcoming

season. Um, we had a great fall season with our athletic programs and we're obviously very optimistic that it's going to be a great winter season as well. >> Thank you. >> Any other report of the committees, unfinish or new business? >> New business. >> Yes. Um, on behalf of myself, Lorraine Aklonis, Kristen Hickman, and Allison Melnik, I would like to thank all of the uh, community members that came out to vote for us, giving us another three years on the board of education and keeping our seats, Kristen and I, keeping our seats. So, uh, we enjoy working with the full board. It's a good board and um we all work together to make our students safe and well educated, keeping our staff safe and just continuing working towards excellence. So, I thank all of you

for all of your confidence in us and voting us back in on the board. Thank you. >> Thank you, Miss Ale. Any other any other unfinish or new business at this time? I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to Miss Caliguire for stepping in for the last three months with us. Thank you, Laura. [applause] We appreciate everything you've done and know you're always there for us when we need you. Thank you. So, at this time, I'll open it up to public. If there's [clears throat] anything anybody like to say, now would be the time. Just state your name, your address for the record. And Mr. Die, you'll have three minutes. [laughter] >> Bill Draggy, 47 Post Road, Clark, New Jersey. Um, well, I I brought my Bible today because I had a quote,

but I I must have put down the wrong one, uh, the wrong number, but I I can remember basically what it was. Uh if you if you uh caused any of these little ones to sin, it would be better if a millstone was put around your head and you were thrown into the sea. It's it's in Matthew someplace. I thought it was eight, but it wasn't. And I think this applies to Governor Murphy's uh laws which say that little children even high school kids uh if you cause them to sin by me by putting something in their mind like their sex might be should be maybe uh maybe you're not really a boy or not really a girl which is also in the Bible saying that that is also a sin just just to to

uh think about uh you're having a different sex. Um, it uh it had I think that Bible passage was actually meant for one of Governor Murphy's laws in involving u transgender and stuff. I can't think of another a better um reason for God to put it in there because uh a lot of these incidences where the person changes their sex, it affects those people very seriously and it causes them to do crazy things like shoot people. Uh even the last shooting uh uh that person was associated with a trans sex cook I think his name was Cook. He was associated with a transgender uh person and uh they were both really men, boys and uh I think that had a lot to although the person that actually show him wasn't transgender but just having that

association with the other person who was a transgender boy I think that might have had something to do with him and and all the other a lot of the other shootings are about the same. Um I mean there's a lot of them that are that are associated with transgender people and they were shooting kids. So it makes them go crazy if especially if they changed their sex and they realize they they shouldn't have and now it's done permanently. Anybody else in the public? >> I enjoy [music] >> [music] [music]
